Four Thousand Club
Remnant is at war.
Tensions were rising more and more between Humans and the Faunus for the past decade. The White Fang, ever since its violent change of leadership, grew more and more bold, more and more violent. Where there were once talks, there are now surgical strikes. What once were peaceful rallies became neighborhood-burning riots. Five years ago,Vale criminal mastermind Roman Torchwick,in conjunction with the White Fang, local gangs, and other allies, began their campaign against the Kingdoms of Remnant.
It was quiet,at first.
Dust robberies,be it at storefronts, warehouses,or in transit. They began to recruit on all fronts. And,most chillingly, began to steal a great volume of Atlesian pre-production next-generation combat materiel. This continued, despite these actions coming to light, thanks to the action of a group of students from Beacon.
The White Fang, emboldened by their new allies and arsenal, declared open war on the Kingdoms of Remnant, the Humans who pull the strings; Government, military, even the schools. All of those responsible for their degraded lot in life... As well as any who won't openly stand by their side. And so began the Second Faunus War.
Faunus across the planet began to feel the finger of suspicion; Governments passed legislation that allowed persecution of Faunus, the common citizen looked upon all Faunus with open suspicion and hostility. The White Fang's numbers only swelled,as they were proven right, once again. The Kingdoms scrambled to defend themselves against a widespread, unconventional foe, using their own weapons against them. All the while, people vanished from the streets, their workplaces, their very homes.
With their hands full, and frightful of the looming destruction that the White Fang promises, the Kingdoms cannot investigate the disappearances, simply blaming them on the White Fang. However, there is someone who does not believe this. They propose that these disappearances have no connection to the war,at least, not directly. Their opinions made them incredibly unpopular, however, and were forced to remain anonymous.
And they've contacted you.
You're a notable individual, currently not attached to the conflict. At least, not directly. The anonymous contact requests your attendance at a bistro in the heart of the City of Vale,at noon. For whatever reason, you decide to investigate this further.
This is the day Remnant was laid bare before you. In all its glory.
And all its horror.
