LINK TO IC THREAD: INVASION: Alien Conquest!

Hello! in this thread please post everything established about your faction during your character creation as well as your amounts of Biomass, Resources, And Energy you currently have.

A rough guide of what should be included is:

Overlord: This is You/Your leader. What do they look like? What motivates them? What is their personality, how do they feel about other overlords?

Relationship to the mother brain: The Sleeper ship, and all overlords, answer to a unifying force -- the evil mother brain. Is your faction free-thinking with their own interests? Do they do the bidding of the mother brain without question? Do they secretly harbor dreams of freedom or rebellion? Are they mindless conquerors in service to her? Factions with better relations with the mother brain may receive bonuses during faction construction.

What alien race(s) do you lead in your journey for conquest? Animalistic beasts? Elite soldiers? Robots? what do they look like and what motivates them? You can design your own race(s) or the GM (Me) can work with you to create some. What is your faction like? What is their history? (conquered like so many other planets, freely serve the mother brain for whatever reason, are purely constructs, etc.)

What interests you about this RP? Why do you want to be a part of it?

Starting Resources: The basic starting resources are 20 Biomass, 10 Resources, 10 Energy, 2 fighters, and a scout ship. More resources will need to be acquired to increase your forces, technology, fleet, and scale of invasion. Depending on your faction concept you may have more or less of certain resources and depend on some more than others.

List whatever technology you have unlocked any any tech cards you might have -- even if it's secret (no metagaming!) so we can keep track of what everyone has and I don't go crazy keeping track of everything.

Overlord: Qoq, smaller in stature than most of her kin, is only interested in furthering the standing of her species, and doing well by the mother brain (albeit it is a conditional love).

Species: Humanoids, the Iradae (imagine bipedal silk moths with two arms, to legs, and wings) are very dexterous, but are decidedly average in almost if not all other pursuits they undertake. They were found drifting in space inside of a damaged transport, and ever since discovery by the Mother Brain, have served their 'big sister' as if family ever since. They are particularly known for their experience in piloting starships.

Relations: Qoq, and the Iradae by extension, have no quarrel with overlords, their factions, or even the beloved mother brain, so long as they show due respect for their boundaries and let them operate as they see fit within reason.

Assets: Nine Iradae including the faction overlord, ten starfighters, two supercomputer drones, two energy.

Technology: MK VIII shields (MK I free), MK I Pulson missiles (MK I free), MK II engines, (MK I base), MK III starfighters (MK I base), MK I drones (MK I base).

Expenditures: Twenty biomass (five Iradae), ten resources and ten energy, (MK III starfighters), eight biomass (two Iradae), fifty energy (MK VI shields), four biomass (one Irade), twenty energy (MK VIII shields), five resources and ten energy (MK I engines), fifteen resources and three energy (three starfighters), ten resources and ten energy (MK I drones), twenty energy (MK X shields), seventy energy (MK VI stealth), forty resources (two supercomputer drones).

Overlord:
Broodlord Azhaek: Only one broodlord may exist within the Zerg society at a time. Azhaek had just rised to power when the Mother Brain took over the zerg. Without experience leading, the whole Zerg came under the control of the mother brain within months. Due to this, Azhaek is usually hostile against the any other force under the mother brain, and will only cooperate with the other races under specific situations or when specifically ordered to. Azhaek is a prideful Broodlord, and prefers to overwhelm his enemies with superior numbers.

Under the Mother brain, Azhaek won tactical experience, and most, if not all of the planets conquered by the Zerg had all their biomass stripped off them, while leaving inorganic resources to the other races to use. Azhaek is also short tempered, and doesn't has a sense of honor. He despises other races and considers the Zerg to be the superior race, and thinks that over time, all organic life will be Zerg.

Relationship to the Mother Brain: The Zerg are a recent addition to the Mother Brain. They fell due to the inexperience of their leader, Azhaek, at the time. They hate the Mother Brain, yet they are obey it without question, because thanks to it, the Zerg are thriving more than ever, feasting on entire planets and assimilating entire species. They aren't planning on a rebellion soon, yet they know that for their goal of assimilating the universe, the Mother Brain must eventually fall...

Forces: The Zerg forces are entirely biological, and so, you will not find a piece of technology in them. They rely on their superior number, and due to their appearances they can employ horror tactics depending on the enemy race. Seeing a man being gruesomely eaten by a zergling isn't pretty.

The Zerg were discovered by the Mother Brain in their home planet. They were then enslaved, and their numberless troops were forced in countless battlefields, laying waste and devouring any biological being on their wake.

However, the Mother Brain discovered that the Zerg were vulnerable to EMP's, since they disrupt the control of the Broodlord over them, turning them into a 'feral' state.

Resources: 28 Hydralisks, 71 Zerglings, 20 Mutalisks, 7 Overlords, and 6 Changelings. 23 Biomass, 30 Resources, 10 Energy.

Investigations: Banelings (5 B)

Overlord: While her children are all rather formless, Triaxa of the Cortovans is capable of creating a form for herself, though it is mutable, and requires her to eat quite a lot. It’s still better for her to take a host. Currently using this one View attachment 505697

Relationship to the mother brain: Triaxa is by no means a worshipper of the mother brain, but she understands the power it has, and will kneel to get some of it. She wants her people to thrive, and ultimately, she wants to have the proper resources to birth another queen, and let their influence spread further. In the end, this is for her own purposes, but she does have loyalty.

The Cortovan forces are… eclectic. To put it simply, none of them other than the queen can survive outside a host, which leads to her active soldiers all being from different races. She even makes a point to take as many prisoners as possible in any conflict, to keep them in stasis or give them a ‘partner’ immediately. Currently has 100 catfolk, 50 not-human scouts, and 10 greys, and 370 motley human followers, including cultists and nomads.

You know how much I love an evil world domination campaign. It’s just too good!

Resources: 10 Biomass, 210 Resources, 10 Energy, 2 fighters, and a scout ship.
Considering how much they have to eat, they need a lot of biomass.

Tech Cards:
Menagerie - your race is formless so whatever races you capture/unlock you can make troops of them.
-current forms: Human, cat, rodent, dog
Cloning-Allows for copying of bodies, though the mind of the original is not copied to the clone.

Overlord: Kithingoff the Fanatic, the High Cleric, The Bio-Lord.
He is a highly modified and ancient member of his species; his genetic code and biological structure manipulated in such a way to barely resemble his previous form. He is nearly 8ft tall and unnaturally slender, with two sets of arms and a fully tactile tail that ends in a tentacle "hand" with hard claws. His skin is a random, swirl and spot mix of bizarre colors; from purple, to light blue,. to a brilliant gold, green, pink and more. His "face" encircles his entire head, with round eyes of swirling colors on all sides, so as to see everything. He has no mouth, but holes appear on his head for hearing and scent. He speaks telepathically through his mind. His biology is immortal to time, and will quickly regenerate and heal any damage. Though this matters little. He is no warrior- he is a man of science and most important- religion. He wears mostly purple robes with swirls of silver and orange, highlighted with gold trimmings, cufflinks and hood. He carries no weapons to be seen.

He is motivated purely by a desire to serve his "God" (The Mother Brain) and does so through the "perfection" of biology and its dominance (aka: conquest). He is of the belief that technology only ever seeks to imitate what the perfection of biology has already accomplished. Rather than working against the grain, against the natural laws and ways set forth in nature, he seeks to work WITH the grain, in harmony with these fundamental principles that make up all things. The bio-tech he and his fellow "Priests" have devised over the centuries reflect this religious-infused belief, leading to all manner of tech based almost entirely on biology. They themselves do not fight, rather they create biological systems that do. From plagues, mind-controlling parasites, biological "mechs" to self-perpetuating Xenomorph plagues and finally Markers, they create creatures that fight in their faith. The ultimate victory of biology is its impeccable ability to adapt, respond and overcome any challenge. This is the feature of the natural world they seek to imitate the most. Other principles are simply used as a means to an end. Kithingoff has been alive for centuries and is highly regarded as one of the highest ranking "Clerics"/Warlords of his people. Under him he has "Priests" who serve as scientists and "Monks" who serve as fanatic and elite soldiers if the need would ever arrive.

He views these conquests as the continuation of the war between Good and Evil, and a show of faith. He who has shown that they be the strongest of will and faith will be chosen by the Mother Brain as the master conqueror, and thus he strives to demonstrate his faith by conquering worlds in her name. He is not hostile to other Warlords so long as they demonstrate the same devotion to their God and will be even eager to work with them; though those that seem to defy the Mother Brain will not win favors from him. Ultimately, he views these conquests as a game of faith and will play by the Mother Brains rule's and no one else's. It is but friendly competition, he shall hold no punches back, but understand that he means no malice outside of the "games". Personality wise, he is a devout holy man, speaking in religious script and metaphors. He is zealous and excitable by faith, but quick to bring down the hammer and instate order and law. He is respectful and tolerant of all who serve the Mother Brain, but has no patience for those who defy her.

He tries to remain level headed and connected to his faith at all times and pursue the perfection of nature

Species:
His race is a species that was long ago invaded and incorporated by the Mother Brain and her forces, in a time when only a few races were doing the invading. His people, being a united and highly religious species in this time, interpreted this through the eyes of their faith. Some saw this invasion as the "Ending"; a day of reckoning where the forces of good must have their final battle with those of evil; and thus rose up to fight the invaders till the bloody end. Others saw it as the "Reckoning"; a day of judgment where the unworthy would be purged from their God's world. These visionaries for the most part committed ritualistic suicide, either alone, in groups, or by throwing themselves upon the weapons of their invaders. Still, a third group saw it as the "Second Coming"; the fruition of their holy texts where the battle between good and evil had finally begun, and God had sent her Angels to be united with her people and finally cleanse the last of all evil from the world. These joined the Invaders as overzealous, frighteningly fanatic warriors who rooted out their own kind and ultimately lead to their own defeat. These are the few that remain and all seek to serve the Mother Brain and end the battle between Good and Evil.

They are, in the original forms at least, a Bipedal Race of Humanoids very akin to humans, save for being grey skinned, hairless, shorter and generally bulkier. Their religion though had a LARGE emphasis on the beauty and "perfection" of nature and the laws of nature made possible by their God. Their society and technology revolved around this idealization of nature, often incorporating biology into their technology. This included their weaponry and went as far as genetic and biological manipulation to themselves; often varying depending on desired results. Though they were by NO MEANS a swarm or any sort of Necromorphic creatures. They mixed their physical hardware and software tech with nature and biology. There was a balance, no side won out completely. They are themselves, not necromorphs. Those come from my Warlord.

Relationship to Mother Brain:
Devoutly loyal and zealous. To betray Her is to betray God. His entire way and frame of thinking is based upon his faith. To betray her is to betray himself and go back on the only world-view he has ever known. He seeks only to spread her conquest and finish the war between good and evil.

Resources:
20 Biomass
20 Energy
20 Resource

Technology:
Markers
Necrophage

They don’t create a Necromorph swarm. They utilize biological and natural principles to create a Biological Weapons System to accomplish a specific role or task
The Necromorphs are just a highly effective system of Biological Weapons Platforms They use biology and the natural laws as one uses inorganic tech and the laws of physuics- to solve problems. And in this case, the problem being conquest.

1 Scout Ship

Commander Zaxel. A fallen captain of the Interplanetary Peace Protection Squads. When the Mother Brain's forces came to their sector of space and crushed their efforts to defend FREEDOM! TRUTH! AND BEAUTY!

Zaxel was one of the highest ranking rangers taken alive and deemed to useful to be converted into biomass. Zaxel is a front line leader and tactician, trained in the use of various weapons and space martial arts that have trained him to the physical and near mental peak of his species. This all rounder approach makes him less specialized and a little dull compared to his squad mates but leaders usually have to be. Zaxel finds some solace in always being ready to strengthen his team and making sure his black uniform and armor always looks the coolest and most marketable.

Zaxel as he is now is a classic villain in his own eyes. He loves to scheme and manipulate people. He loves to display his power and be considered better than others. He loves to monologue and laugh maniacally! And he loves to pose and shout his catchphrases and attack names! GRAVATON PUNCH!

Oh and he's grown a goatee, the ultimate symbol of evil...

iznJZ99m.jpg

Race: The SBTCS (Conquest Squads for short) were once highly trained defenders of FREEDOM! TRUTH! AND BEAUTY! In space sector Elysio. Made up of an army of defenders split into squads that were allowed to act relatively autonomously from each other. This lead to a lot of variety given each squad's local culture. Squads of Knights, cops, insects ect. Each squad's marketability really helped fund their gear and giant robots.

Peace keeping pretty much boiled down to fending off some lone alien invader on a weekly basis. When asked about it Zaxel still says that the sleeper ship sending tons of aliens at once is just bad sportsmanship. These squad defenders (most went by the title of Ranger) look inexplicably human with slight differences in their complexion and facial features to set them apart. They are also physically superior to the average human thanks to training and superior genetics.

Even if the humans say those genetics make them look like they're wearing cheap makeup effects!

Relationship with the brain: Another conquered species. The rangers tried and failed to defend their sector from these diverse invaders. Most lay down their lives in noble last stands and acts of heroism but alas for some, even this would be denied them.

Using the captured weapon of one of Zaxel's old enemies, The Dark Catalyst - A crystal that turned Zaxel evil for a few weeks once before his squad saved him and went on to defeat their dark counterparts - To turn Zaxel and the surviving rangers permanently evil. Most squads were used to taking orders from literal giant brains in tubes so obeying the Mother Brain was an easy transition once they embraced their inner evil. They may not be the most efficient minions she has to call on but they always put on a colorful show full of flips and explosions.

Overlord: The predecessor. The oldest Lii'dra. The predecessor was the Lii'dra that originally came from what planet bore their race. It came into the contact with the Mother Brain and thus spawned the Lii'dra that came after it. It is in control of the Lii'dra and remains on the hidden station behind the moon.

Relationship to the mother brain: The Lii'dra do not worship the Mother Brain. They venerate the Mother Brain, but hold the Predecessor in higher regards since it is one of their own. They are obedient to a point when it comes to the Mother Brian, but are obedient to a fault when it comes to the Predecessor.

Race: Lii'dra. Read more here: Racial Features: The Lii'dra are a long-lived race that resemble the Grays of Earth legend. Lii'd... - JustPaste.it

What interests you about this RP: Sounds fun. I like the idea of it.

+ Shoulder mounted explosive launcher: High explosive, smoke, and stun.
+ Grappling winch.
+Jamming signal. The suits emit a wide variety of frequencies meant to jam modern

Overlord: Ta'Itzcoatl, the Blessed One

Ta'Itzcoatl, referred to as the Blessed One, is among the few in the First Order who have been "touched" by the Enlightened One. What this means is that he has attained a level of enlightenment and self mastery that near transcend the mortal coil. His spiritual and psionic abilities have evolved to a point where he can delay the need to eat or sleep for weeks and only meditate to maintain his existence. He only has a few steps in his journey to transcend and join the Enlightened One in the Great Ether.

Relationship to the mother brain: The First Order sees the Mother Brain as the harbinger or even an avatar of the Enlightened One. Thus, the First Order generally supports the Mother Brain to the best of their ability to bring enlightenment to the world.

The First Order is very spiritual/religious and are able to channel spiritual energy with technology to do things that seem magical. For example, summoning summoning a ball of pure spiritual/psionic energy. Regardless, their beliefs are kind of an amalgamation of various tenets of Islam and Buddhism in the sense that they believe that there is supposed to be balance, peace and faith in the universe, but there isn't... thus they are divinely obligated and bound to bring balance and peace to the world even if its by force and Holy War. Thus, they believe the mother hive mind is the avatar/champion of god that is meant to bring sweeping changes to the universe that will lead to harmony. BUT it is not god.

The First Order consists primarily of the Chosen, the people of the Blessed One. They are a humanoid-esque species with long life spans. However, reproduction is... difficult for the Chosen as purity of the mind and soul are part of the faith of the First Order. They do tend to defer to artificial insemination, but the development period of the Chosen is... long. Thus, the Chosen do use a lot of technology to serve as a "force multiplier". Thus, menial tasks like mining and maintenance are largely done by robotic drones or by newer species that were recently Enlightened and have seen the true way. The physical, repetitive labor is used as a way to teach meditation to new disciples while the Chosen work hard to attain spirituality. More elite and enlightened members of the First Order are rarely asked to act upon the physical world unless the matter at hand is important. Thus, the more serious something is, the more likely a more Enlightened member will be called upon to bring forth the will of the Enlightened One. (Mechanically, I'm thinking I start mostly with pretty simple aliens, but many of them. However, as the RP progesses, I can call upon more Spiritually Enlightened Followers at an appropriate cost who will be in "reserve" and meditating.)

Thus, there is a rather clear social status among the First Order with the Chosen being the oldest believers and the most Enlightened, while recent converts of other races/species are tasked with the menial labor so that they may serve and show gratitude for those who have opened their eyes. The more veteran converts are given benefits that fit their general level of Enlightenment which is measured by their mastery over their spiritual and psionic powers.

Image of a Chosen Templar (Upper-Middle Tier in terms of Enlightenment. Kinda low for a Chosen, but high in the Order.)
