Introduction to Vendetta

Vendetta

It's a sin to kill a mockingbird.

Once there was a book with all its pages black,

From which a young writer sprung with an ink skull on her back.

She nodded and waved, gave a two-finger salute,

And her spidery hand gestured to a page in her suit.

She pulled out the paper from a pocket inside,

And cleared out her throat in a play of pride.

"Hello hello," she said with a nod,

"I'm sure that to you I'll come off quite odd,

For I am reciting each line in a rhyme,

Because it may not be something you see all the time."

She wanted to stand out from what's been done before,

But the heart in her chest hopes she won't be a bore.

It's actually her first time on a website like this,

With forums and categorizes so she can't reminisce.

But that's not to say she hasn't roleplayed in the past,

For she'd tell you she's been doing it for at least five years if you asked.

She writes little stories when she can find the spare time,

"So I'm pretty well-versed," she said with a chime.

"I suppose I'm advanced," she dared to say,

"And I get quite immersed in the roles I play.

If I had to guess at the typical size of my post,

I wouldn't limit myself by capping an ‘at most.’

I would probably have no less than paragraphs totaling four,

But as I mentioned above it could likely be more."

She hoped that some were still continuing to read,

As she would feel rather sad if people had fleed.

"If you would like to start up a one on one with me,

I would probably say yes with a repeated times three.

To the preference of genre I enjoy a setting of modernity,

So if we choose to use that I'll love you for eternity."

She goes on to promise she doesn't always rhyme what she speaks,

And that she was merely employing it as a round of techniques.

It was at this point she could not think of what else to say,

So she decided that she would go ahead and put this on display.

For those still here she would give a bruschetta,

And tell them that they could call her Vendetta.

This took me forever to plan. Please love me. <3

P.S. I don't actually have a tattoo of a skull on my back.

I just needed somethin' for the sake of the rhyme.

P.P.S. Tattoos are cool though, yo.

P.P.P.S. My internet went all wonky when I was about to post this,

and I almost lost all of what I wrote. I think I would have cried, LOL.

I wish there was more that rhymed with Vendetta.

Oh my gosh, what an intro!! :D Hi there Vendetta! I am also new here on this site. (Joined today actually) Its nice to meet you! That was a very creative and unique way of introducing yourself, and I very much liked it!

I hope we can be friends, and learn the ways of the site together! :)

Well that'd be one hell of a into, expertly done as well. Greetings to RPN! I'm Der, and I'll be your friendly neighborhood history major, and Team speak dweller. I heard of your post via one of our community Fellows. If you ever poke your head into the Team speak say hi. At any rate, enjoy your time here!

though with Bruschetta line...now I am hungry...thank you for that xD .

@fullmoon

Hello! I joined this site on Monday, but it has taken me a while to actually get my introductory thread up and posted (as you can see). I'm glad you liked it, as that was the goal.

@Der Kojote

Thanks for the welcome! I appreciate it, I really do. I'm happy that you, too, found interest in my introduction. I'm rather amused that you heard of my post through someone else; it doesn't seem like something that would be passed around. As for your hunger, I can't say that I apologize. Bruschetta is damn good.

Ah, lol. I thought about doing a poem in reply, but looked at the clock xD .

So. I'll just say, welcome Vendetta! You shall enjoy here, no question. I hope your role-playing is just as good as your poem-ing. If so, we just got a new kick-butt member (^.^).

Head by the chat when you have a chance to say hello, if you're feeling open V. If not, at least check around and comment on our stuff so we know you care ^`^. If you have any questions, please, don't hesitate to ask. We are all in this together :5/5:

I'll take the bruschetta. Nothing wrong that it rhymes with Vendetta :)

I think I'm just hungry. O.o

Welcome! I just joined today

@White Masquerade

It would have been funny to see someone write a poem in response. :P I like to think I'm better at writing stories than poetry. Anyway, thanks for the welcome!

@BlueRogue

I want some bruschetta — I haven't had it in a while. Nonetheless, welcome to the site to you as well!

@Elle Joyner

Very much so! This site is wonderful. Thank you for the welcome, and I'm glad you enjoyed reading my intro.

@Tree

I appreciate the welcome!

I read that in a poem voice and got really really confused at the third sentence.

Anyway, welcome Vendetta, I'm Deadkool. I do space stuff and complicated lore stuff. Also other stuff, but we don't need to talk about that.

Oh, almost forgot, I do funny stuff too.
