Into the Shadows (explosiveKitten and Wildpelt)

Running... The smell of blood, her own blood on her scent glands, dry leaves crunching underpaw, her heart beat fast in her chest, she could hear the gleeful howls of her enemies behind her. Calling to her, telling her not to fear, they wouldn't hurt her... much. Soon she came across a wide expanse of black... stone? It was hot to the touch, it confused her, but she couldn't stop. They would catch her. With a burst of energy she sprinted across it, her tail whipping behind her as she dived across the side and looked back. That horrible black and white pawed tom sneered at her, then waved the others away. "We'll get her some other time... Heh... You escaped for now, pretty kitty. But we'll be back." The tom yowled, then turned and ran away... Her breathing heaved, and she slumped to the ground, where she finally rested, and closed her eyes... Darkness welled, and soon she was swallowed by it...

Wildpelt was looking for herbs. Comfrey, to be exact. He wanted to find the rough leaves with a sharp, crisp scent. He smiled as he found a few leaves. Using his teeth, he nipped the stalks. The use of leaves meant he smelled something. He smelled blood. He dropped the leaves and ran towards it, arriving at a bloody heap. He yowled, "Who are you?"

The poor black and white she-cat was unconscious until she heard.... a voice ask a question. Who...? Her deep green eyes flickered open and scanned her surroundings, no matter how blurry it was...Who was that.. "Urrrgh..." She groaned, unable to speak quite yet. She could feel clotted and dried blood in her fur, and looked up. Smells flooded her nose,. It was... a tom. With some odd scent on him... not a house pet, and not a loner like herself. "Who.... urrrgh..." Soon darkness swallowed her up again..

Wildpelt's instincts as a warrior cat kicked in. He immediately made sure the area was clear and treated her wounds. He first found marigold and started to cover her wounds in a thick pulp. Once that was clean, he started to place cobwebs on them, "Shh...stay quiet. I'll help you."

Her emerald green eyes drifted upwards once more, to take in the blurry image of another cat... Smelled like a tom... Tom? "A tom?!" She sprang to her paws, fur standing on on end. "You pursued me! Even here! How did you even get across Blackrock?!" She hissed, baring her fangs, hackles raised. Her head was pounding, and she felt feverish, but she paid not attention to that. This tom was no doubt sent by him... Even though he smelled odd... Not of Bloodclan..."Who are you? I don't even recognize your scent..." She growled, stepping back, ready to flee, or attack.

"I'm Wildpelt," the gray mottled Tom replied, "I want to help you..."
