Sapphire (paw) ~ Loner ~ 7 moons
Location: Boulderclan territory, headed to Boulderclan camp
Interactions: Nightstar Morrighan
Sapphire slid her gaze to one side as she studied the blur carefully as they walked, her tail tip twitching cautiously as she returned her gaze forward-facing, ears flicking slightly back and forth. She debated what her answer would be, a small twitch of her mouth showing she was just a hint amused at his response. It wasn't every day that she had stunned a cat like Nightstar. As the duo continued to move she shrugged slightly, wincing as her shoulder twinged with the movement, and finally spoke. Her voice was slightly quiet as her wariness seemed to relax just a bit. Now that she wasn't around multiple cats at once.
"I am blind, yes. It changes nothing about me. I have better senses with my ears and my sense of smell. I can see blurs and since my eyes are clear most assume I am actually not blind given I use it to my advantage so it can't be used against me." She explained through the squirrel in her mouth softly. A soft rumble echoed in her chest as she listened to Nightstar and for a second she was sure it was a growl before she realized she was purring... something she hadn't done in a long time. "The clan can know. It would be better to tell them so no one can surprise me, despite me wanting to see how long it takes for someone to notice. It sure took you and your patrol a while." She teased, catching her surprise before it showed for too long. "I had to learn how to use my senses better than my vision, just because I can't see doesn't mean I can't use my hearing and smell. My mother ... " Here the apprentice-sized she-cat paused hesitantly before she decided to give a half-truth "My mother isn't around anymore and hasn't been for a while, so I had to decide if my disability was going to end up causing me more problems or if I would take charge and use my other senses." Sapphire murmured as she kept up easily with the tom. Despite her limp or her lack of vision, she kept her focus on the black blur.
