Fantasy Interest Check for The Mirror World

It’s modern day and just like in real life fae creatures don’t exist, or at least that’s what most of you think. Now mankind is never shy to a fight over power, and that is exactly what happened long ago. Humans refused to share their land with “freaks” like the fae creatures. Of course it didn’t help that there was evil and good in the mix as well. Creatures like vampires would kill for their enjoyment while elves and fairies only took the aftermath of things they never did. Eventually a war broke out, but with human kingdoms outnumbering that of the fae they had to run from their own home land. They created this separate realm from the 5 elements, a sanctuary for all fae good and bad. Somewhere they could raise their families without worry as there was a peace treaty signed between good and evil.

A great council had to be created to ensure no one stepped out of line. There was still a connection to the human realm as fae still needed to feed. Sometimes the humans could visit the fantasy realm in their dreams while succubi and night hags visited for their feeding frenzies. Such a connection also helped with the creations of new legends or the occasional claim someone saw a unicorn and such. Centuries passed with a secret coexistence with the humans and fae, but nothing lasts… With the humans continued advancements it was only a matter of time before they’d create something to find this secret realm, but first they found the fae hiding within their precious earth. People began to go missing left and right. People you knew personally and saw daily. Lovers, parents, and friends all alike just erased from the world, and their bodies burned to ensure their permanent death. You being a secret fae child having never been taught about your powers or even seen them as they were never awoke; are being hunted. Men in black are following you, stalking in the shadows waiting for the time to strike. Though you’re not trained you’re also not alone. The fae would never leave one of their own and one night in your sleep you are taken to your true home, and as much as the council would like to welcome you it’s time for a second war. You must explore what you are and who you are as a fae to fight for you secret home. Whether you choose to or side with the humans though is up to you, but know this… the fae have lost their homes once, and don’t plan to do it again.


Will you fight with all that you’ve known as a human being and help to destroy creatures homes because they didn’t fit into what humankind wanted them to be?

Will you rebel and take a leap of faith with your new kin to destroy the cruel ways of humanity as you are finally home now?


You decide who lives and dies, only one survives.

Curious to see where this will be going. What type of Human organizations are there, specifically dedicated to dealing with the magical creatures? You mentioned the men in black, anything more specific on them?

They'd be like the Winchester brothers Sam and Dean if you know them, but less vigilante and more government funded. They'd be kind of like a specialized group of soldiers, but trained in mythic combat instead of traditional combat. Since different creatures come from different origins, Chinese, Norse, Egyptian, etc they'd have to be specifically trained for this sort of thing instead of being pulled from the front lines. I'd image they'd be part of one one those secretly funded groups trying to find the fae then deal with them. I mean someone had to have started a search for them from all these myths right? who better than the government? Our world is dying so if they could find a new magical one the possibilities for human kind are endless. Does that answer your question well enough or do you have any other questions maybe?
