Reaver exhaled through his nose before he finally spoke, fingers lacing through Graham's hair. "First off, I can tell ya that Zuzu is upset about the whole thing - not just you. She just focused it on you alone because Adrian wasn't around f'r it as well. And second of all," Reaver tilted Graham's head, meeting nose to nose with the male. "Graham Garrett Cheshyre, you are not a fuck up. I'm not excusing anything thst happened but y'gotta remember Adrian's. . . different. I don't wanna say sensitive, he's just--" Reaver bit his lip in thought. "He's a landmine with a personality. It's not yer fault he snaps, and. . . and I'm sure when he comes back y'll both be even closer brothers than before." Reaver moved and nuzzled Graham's shoulder. "It really isn't yer fault. . ."
Graham sighed, "thank you for not being mad at me, Rea."

Graham sighed, "thank you for not being mad at me, Rea."

-"Me? Mad at you? When have I ever successfully pulled that off f'r more than a minute?" Reaver smirked, doing his best to lighten the situation, just to provide a little relaxation in the downtime between now and. . . if/when Adrian came back.

Graham gave a sad smile, "you're too good for me."

-"And yet, you've still got me. So y'must be doin' somethin right, yeah?" Reaver kept the gentle smirk, softly pressing his forehead against Graham's. "So. . . whaddya wanna do? Head out and punch some trees? Scratch against some trees? Burrrn some trees? Bubble bath? Or we could just simply watch TV. . . whatever ya want, sugah beah. Whatever y'want."

Graham looked up as he wiped away a tear, "can we do a bubble bath?"

Reaver gave a gentle nod. "Of course."

Adrian sat himself upon a branch in a soul tree, darkened eyes running across the red landscape - eyes locked on several demons while he'd force them to brawl for his own amusement, his hands moving like an instructor would for a symphony. And, oddly enough, he'd blast Beethoven's fifth in the background, look serious as his creatures brawled to the beat.

Graham hugged Reaver again, "i truly don't deserve you but i thank you for being by my side anyway."

Reaver blinked before smiling and returning the hug. "Through thick and thin. Let's go take th'bubble bath. I needed a breather after Adrian left anyways."

Masaru waited until everyone left before coming into the living room, having witness the altercation from the shadows. He then walked to where the portal was, the electrical static of the magick tingling his senses and enlightening the beast from within himself. "Ah, Adee, you need much more of this love that humans talk about more than I expected." He pressed his finger at where the portal appeared before it opened immediately for him. He jumped in, the portal disappearing once more as he landed into the dirty hallows of Shadowheim. His eyes scouted out for the wolf before spotting a few beasts a bit away, injured. Masaru walked over, kneeling down to get into the face of the weak beast, "where is the man that did this to you?"

The mangled beasts gestured towards a soul tree in the distance thst Adrian had been sitting in, a simphony of music still around Adrian as he'd stare off in his thoughts. His face having been violently bare whilexclaws like daggers dug imto that tree, which wailed in agony from the stabbing burn which travelled as far as the tip of its roots. Adrian held himself to his seat, tail dangling.

Masaru stood back up and walked over before stopping right below, "mind if i sit up there with you? This ground is filthy on my shoes."

Adrian didn't look down, but he did move over silently before roughly releasing his claws from the wood. He was sure to allow Masaru enough room dispite his own quiet take on his actions.

Masaru hopped up before sitting beside him, "gods, i haven't been here in a century or so. Nothing relly has changed, has it?"

Adrian gave a ghost of a smirk, just to provide a fake crack in the stone as he coughed gemtly, coming from deep within, judging by the wheeze. Best way to describe it had been a smoker's cough. "Only thing that changes are the faces, and even they all blend int' the same expression at the end of the day."

That empty smirk would fade over time, however, and he'd cross his arms at his chest. "So it goes upon bein' pulled int' darkness, though, yeah?"

Masaru nodded, leaning back until his back laid on one of the tree's branches, his limbs going limp as he seemed extremely relax in the hellish environment. "It is . . . nostalgic to say the least. I remember when y'learned how to create these portals and hid. What a strange kid you were . . . still are. Things just don't change."

Adrian shakily huffed. ". . . One of the perks, though, there's no Thomas nor is there an Alduin here t' hunt and provoke me further. Not in this layer." His shoulder pressed against the tree's base, his voice low, one octive away from a mumble. "This place is endless. Thousands of places t' avoid unwanting eyes. A place where I. . . don't need to hide what I am. A place where all problems but one are either embraced, or fixed. Do you know what that one, remaining problem is?" He gave a half-glance to the lounging fox.

"What is that, Adrian?"

"What is that, Adrian?"

"Feelings." Adrian then exhaled at the term, and stared off. "That's what sets me apart from the rest of the kings that ruled Shadowheim before I did. And yet. . . t'this day I still manage t' fuck shit up in the worst way without even truly intending to. I didn't. . . want shite t' escalate like it did. I never do. But it just. . . happens. Even with medication and therapy and a place to put my anger out." That smirk became ghostly again, and he gave a light laugh to accompany it. "Y'd think these issues, I dunno, would be fixed by now. Y'd think I would have the know-how t' not hurt the people I actually care for, yet it happens anyways."

Adrian brought a hand up, and examined his claws as he fought to avoid a full shift. "I thought I was doin' better, too. Now I don't even know if it's a good idea t' go back because I don't like bein' a burden on them. I don't like when my freakouts weigh on their mind and I certainly don't like blowin' up at one of the guys that's been close t' me since the day we moved in." He let his hand down, head against the base of the tree, now, as well. "This family got t' me, 'nd now I feel like I blew it t' the point of no return. My anger came so close t' lettin' me almost hurt Graham in a way I haven't done since the first time I snapped around when we met. I don't want that. It's a constant reminder of the blood I share with Thomas. I don't--. . . --I never wanna be compared t' that. Bad enough I see him in the mirror when my Nightmare side chooses not t' talk. . ."

Masaru smiled, "and yet here you are, being afraid of losing the people closest to you. That doesn't sound like Thomas at all. He would laugh, probably even kill Graham. But you're not Thomas, are you?" He then sat up as he looked to him, "listen here, kid. Do you remember when I was so scared that I would be lost to becoming my father and that I turned into that beast and almost killed you guys?"

He gave a shaky exhale, and he nodded while keeping his gaze away. "Yeah, I. . . I do."

Adrian shot Masaru a look of question, asking him to go on without a single word escaping him.
Masaru smiled, "you guys, surprisingly. I thought that nothing was going to stop the Oshiro curse from turning me into a raging lunatic. Every time I fell asleep, I thought that that would be my last night of remembering you guys. But it didn't happen like that. Y'guys fought for me, brought me in, and helped me turn the tables. Without that, I wouldn't have such a big family or have kids of my own once again. It doesn't mean i'm not scared. Every day i feel like i can still be lost to whatever lies in the future or in the shadows, but i can't let that stop me from being part of this family. Besides, no matter how far you try to push them away, they always find their place right back to your side and they take care of you because you matter to them. It takes more than lashing out to end such a strong bond. Especially with this family, because no matter how you see yourself, they see you as someone that they . . . l-word. Hell, look at me, giving you this sappy ass talk all because of this l-word thing. It's stronger than you and I combined."

Adrian heavily exhaled as he'd listen to Masaru's reasoning, claws dug into his own arms as soon as he folded them at his chest. ". . . We've both sunk deep int' the realm of the l-word, haven't we? . ."

Masaru sighed, "yup, and it's too late to get out now. So you might as well come back and sort shit out. Besides, I never took you as a chicken."
