Graham's heart twinged at his look before pulling Adrian into a hug as he held him close. "I'm sorry for doing this but I got no other choice. I"m not letting you go until y'realize that you're safe."

((AWWW ;W; ))

Adrian flinched again, his body trembling and practically on fire both inside and out. "E-Everything. . . hurt. . . s-so bad. . ." He didn't remove himself from the hug, but he definitely moved to check table tattoo on his arm. He'd then shakily move and roll Graham's sleeve up for comparison. He looked to the family business tattoo on his arm before looking to his own again. "It's-- I--" He teared up, looking up at Graham again before giving into the hug, latching on tightly to cope with the lingering burn.

Graham looked to his arm as well before hugging him back, "you're okay. I gotcha. Graham's here. I ain't letting you go nowhere. Is it the tattoo that's hurting? Where does it hurt the most, Adrian?"

Adrian's own hold only tightened as the feeling lingered. "Thh-- The f'ckin' tattoo." He stifled out.

Graham looked at the tattoo on Adrian's arm, "i'm going to place my hand are that tattoo, tell me if it hurts, okay?"

Hesitating, Adrian finally pulled off a nod with clenched teeth. The mark, or course, still seeming red and irritated. ". . . Y-Yeah, go ahead. . ."

Graham gently laid his hand on the tattoo before chanting something under his breath, soon Graham's veins turn a dark shade of purple as he began to suck in the pain from Adrian's body into his own. He winced before looking to Adrian, "is it working?"

Adrian gave what sounded to be a struggled whine, that mixed with a groan at the pain transfer that granted a temporary relief before Adrian drew a deep, pained breath as it started up again. And, not wanting Graham to continue feeling the shared experience, he tore away and gripped the tattoo again. "S-Son of a bitch!" He growled, arm gripped tight as he shot Graham a look of Independence. He then swallowed hard again, and finally released his arm as the pain faded once again. "S-Sorry, I--" He stopped and moved to study the near identical mark on Graham's arm again to see if it'd changed. When he saw that it didn't change like his own, he sighed in relief before flinching as it finally clicked completely with him that this really was what he thought it to be.

"Hopefully that didn't burn too badly?" His eyes furrowed with concern for the male before looking to his own mark, again. "I, uh. . . talked t' my mother."

Graham shook his head before blinking, "y'did, huh? What did she say?"

"Lotta things." Adrian rubbed the back of his head, while leaning his side against the wall. "Said I grew, said she was proud, oh and she apparently worked with my dad from what I could hear." Adrian gave a shaky smile and gripped his own arms tightly. "All for this. . . 'gift' bullshite."

Adrian held a shaky, about to break again type of face before he sniffed once, then pinched the bridge of his nose to alleviate the feeling. "Mark of the Beast." He dropped his hand from his face and looked off to the side. "I'm. . . I. . ." He growled at the mocking voice of his father in the back of his head, "Y'know I'm a Dire Devil, yes? Well, the 'gift' was a returned throne." He pointed to the tattoo. "See how it's changed? I was just forced up a rank because, as it turns out, we're takin' Shadowheim back."

Graham blinked, "EXCUSE ME!?"

Graham blinked, "EXCUSE ME!?"

Adrian flinched at the yell. "Gods-- LET THE WHOLE FOREST KNOW!" He rubbed his face at the flocks of birds that quickly took off, pacing the basement again. "My family owned Shadowheim first, apparently. But we haven't since great Grandpa Laurence passed it off t' the Shadowfather, since Scath tried ripping the land from us. Great Grandpa Laurence thought it was a good idea t' hand it off t' someone else so we didn't have t' deal with any further incidents. That's. . . what I was always told, anyways. And the fact my father's the one that did it t' me makes it seem even worse." He flinched further.

Graham stared at him for a bit before massaging the bridge of his nose with his fingers. "So what does this mean now?"

"Beats the fockin' hell outta me." Adrian sighed. "I'm sure I can at least find more info about it in the book." He then moved his attention to Graham, holding a fucking puppy look of an apologetic nature.

((He's gon' cwi.))

(AHHHHHHHHHHH NOH)
Graham gave a soft smile as he patted his head, "it's not your fault, Adrian. I'm just glad you're okay."

(( ;n; ))

Adrian's lip quivered when he tried to smile, only to have it falter and that smile's strength crumbled. "I feel like it is."He muttered, and with that, he broke.

Graham shook his head, pulling him in for another hug. "It's not. It's really not. We can't stop these things from happening. No one can stop how the world works in its mysterious ways. But it's up to us to determine how we go on from this. It's up to us to look at the situation we are given, and go down the path that we choose. So tell me, my brother, what path is it? What path is your's?"

Adrian didn't fight the hug, and instead leaned into it with his face shoved into Graham's shoulder. ". . . T' run Shadowheim. . . And run it better than most, I guess. . ."

"Then we will follow you one hundred percent of the way. Y'have our support and will never let you go."

Adrian nodded, and eventually pulled back from the hug. "Just. . . promise me something?"

Graham nodded, "what is it that y'need?"

Adrian patted himself down. "Just. . . If I ever take a turn," He took the gun out of his pocket, handing it to Graham. "Th' bullets in that are silver, and laced with wolfsbane. Can kill even the toughest of wolf demons." He hopes he isn't questioned as to why he had it, in the first place. "If I ever get. . . too bad; two shots t' the head."

Graham slapped his cheek, gently. "There won't be, dumbass. But. . . if i does, i'll do what I must. But I promise you, that that'll be the last thing to ever happen. You're so incredibly strong, Adrian. And y'got a strong family to help you as well."

Adrian still flinched from the slap even though it wasn't hard. He'd then look down. "No, I know but it's. . . just a safety precaution. . ." He fiddled with the specially made gun before closing his eyes that were already red from crying.
