Traits: + Creative, Intuitive, Observant - Jaded, Blunt, Odd

Who am I?

"Jinkies, dude."

Tanner has some issues. He's a shy, sweet person at heart. He has a hard time trusting folks, but is a very loyal person to those who do earn it. That being said, it'd be wise to note that if he or anyone he loves is crossed, he can become an ice king. Don't ask him about the past, it haunts him. He knows there are good people in the world, but for some reason he just can't see himself as one of them.

Tanner has a knack for creating beautiful things...though he can get lost in his own little worlds he creates. His pencil and paper always were the best way of getting away from all his problems...and his memories.

Indulges in the habitual use of the Leaf. Not because it's fun, but because it makes him feel free. Like a hummingbird.

My Story?

"You never know how much you love someone until your looking at their casket."

With no father or siblings, Tanner only had his Mom to depend on. There was nothing he wouldn't do for her. Everything changed when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. The comfortable life he had always known was shattered, and with his innocence gone he stepped up to take care of the woman who had taken care of him since he was a born. She went into remission and everything seemed to be fine.

So, when she passed away due to an aneurysm, he took it hard.

He was resigned to live with Uncle Marty; a sleazy man with foul intentions for the relationship. The man who seemed to be good and whole-hearted was actually cruel and sociopathic. Tanner didn't know much about sex, until Uncle Marty taught him. Tanner didn't know about drugs and how they could leave you defenseless. Uncle Marty didn't hesitate to teach him that lesson. Tanner didn't know how to fight back. Uncle Marty thought he never would.

How he was so wrong.

After four years of verbal and physical abuse, Tanner finally emancipated himself from the last relative he knew of. Amazingly, Tanner kept his grades up even with all the darkness he had to face in his own home. But finishing high-school was stressful ,and with graduation on the way he realized there was no plan for him to follow through on. His junior year had droned by as he bused tables in a local diner. Life became repetitious. He needed an escape.

By the way...

Has a tattoo of a hummingbird sipping a white oleander on his hip.

Likes popsicles, his sketchbook, Doritos

dislikes coupon moms, heat, the dark

thumb.jpg

Personality:

Penny is that pleasant and sympathic girl you would like to bump into at school or on the street. She is a kind of wallflower and can be easily overlooked. She would never be in the center of a party, but the one who stands in a corner, sips a drink and watches the girls and boys dancing. Most of the time she stayed at home reading, hearing music or writing storys. She is quite good at writing, and did also win a couple of challenges, but never told anybody about it except from her twin brother Elliot. Elliot is something like her best friend and also the only person in her life she ever trusted. Although they were close to each other, Penny did always play the second fiddle to her brother. Her grades were never as good as Elliot's, she was never as popular as him and also their parents prefered her brother. But Penny didn't care about it, because she was always happy if Elliot was happy - well, she thought.

Background:

Penny grew up as a daugther of a librarian and a teacher. She had a twin brother namend Elliot who came into world about five seconds earlier than her. Her parents always wished for a son and this is why she became something like the bad seed of the family. Her parents simply overlooked her talents and concentrated on fostering Elliot. Penny , who was already a selfless girl back than, accepted her fate and tried to feel happy for her brother.

Penny had always been a shy girl, but this year she wants to change. She wants to live the life she always wanted, find new friends, become accepted by her parents and don't be dependent on her brother.

Conner Mallas | 17 | Homosexual

dancing_to_my_heartbeat__colton_haynes_x_reader__by_eternal_violet_void-d7ee9ue.png

Traits: + Humorous, Charismatic, Respectful; - Conceited, Deceptive, Inconsiderate

Personality:

Conner can probably be described in many words but it all depends on who your asking. Most women will tell you he's like your very own knight in shining armor while most men will tell you he's a playful, yet, arrogant b*stard. Conner finds that it is important to only show your good side to women, with making the exception of close friends. Despite being very charming, Conner mostly only thinks of himself. If he can gain something from you then he'll be very charismatic, other than that you have to deal with his arrogant nature. Conner always loves a good joke but he tends to make jokes out of peoples flaws which some people take offense too. He is very playful with his friends, often messing with them like a sibling would and giving them the slightest of affection such as a peck on the cheek. Seeing himself as above most people, he has a problem with watching what he says which can lead him into trouble sometimes. Conner is nothing if not a man of his word, he keeps his promises and will go to any length to keep them.

Background:

Conner grew up being told he was better than everyone else. Who told him this, was his father who worked more in a week than he spent time with his family in a month. Despite being an only child, he never got much attention from his parents except for when he succeeded at something which didn't last to long. As his father managed a Law Firm Business while neglecting his family in the process, Conner's mother would turn to
other solutions to fix her loneliness, such as men and alcohol.

During high school, Conner got more attention from his peers than he ever got from his parents. He was the Line-Backer for the football team and was the spit image of prince charming to most girls at his school. Though all of this changed in his early senior year when a picture of him kissing another guy ended up on everyone's phones. He tried to make everything stay the same but unfortunately his popularity scale plummeted. He eventually was forced to quit the football team because students and parents were making complaints about a gay boy being allowed to change in a locker room with other guys. The rest of the senior was terrible but eventually Conner decided it didn't matter anymore. Gay or straight, it wasn't anyone's business except his.

Now he has friends who love him for who he is which couldn't make him any happier.

Hazel Korbin

17 Going on 18

Hetero-Demisexual

thumb.jpg

+Humorous -Blunt

+Friendly -Judgemental

+Energetic -Very Foul-Mouthed

Personality

You know that girl who's really straightforward, loud, and can be a little mean at times? The girl nobody really likes because she swears too much and her jokes are way too sarcastic to even actually be considered 'jokes?' That girl is Hazel Korbin, the Magnificently blunt, unafraid-to-speak-her-mind-so-you'd-better-cover-your-ears 17 year old who's got quite a knack for getting into rows with other people, whether it be over a pencil or a full-on betrayal. She's too street-smart for her own good, and loves to make the best of the time spent in back-alleys. She loves to crack jokes that half the time seem too offensive or too confusing for anyone to get or laugh at. But that doesn't mean she doesn't have better grades than most of the honors lit students. She knows when she's right, and is never afraid to prove that to anyone who challenges her on it.

History

Hazel's lived in a pretty foul-mouthed home, in a foul-mouthed neighborhood. Her parents were never afraid to criticize her in any aspect of her life, be it academic, social, or even the way she would eat or make her bed. She lived in a average household, with average income, but that never stopped critique from seeping through into her mind. It's part of the reason she is such a blunt person, and also part of the reason she can't form romantic relationships... Everything is too critical to her, even the lifestyle of another person.

Traits: +strong-willed, +loyal, +witty; -prideful, -angry, -untrusting

Appearance:

"Put it outta' yo' head."

5247810_orig.jpg

Personality:

"You gotta' get mean to, boo."

No one ever said Eugene was a nice man, and he did learn from the best.

Gene has never appreciated authority, you could say it isn't in his nature. He hates the world for never showing him any kindness. Cynical is what cynical does. He doesn't trust easy and doesn't form attachments for the sake of saving himself from the pain of when they will eventually leave. Gene also isn't the smartest man when it comes to school or reading. Words and letters trip him up and switch with others, but he is too much trouble for any teacher to take notice of his dyslexia. However, when it comes to sarcastic banter, he is king with a quick wit to boot. All in all Eugene Shelton is an emotionally stunted individual.

Backstory:

"Why do you need ta' know?"

Eugene Shelton was born to Mary and Sidney Shelton in the heart of New Orleans on December 19th, 1995. It was a happy household with their bundle of curly haired joy snuggled and smothered with love. Until Katrina hit in 2005. The Shelton's lost everything that day. Their home, their possessions, and even their sanity. But worst of all 10 year old Eugene, curly haired bundle of joy, lost his mom and by extension his father.

Getting back on their feet was
tough. Eugene's father didn't bother looking for another job, the saw mill he worked at a pile of ruble, and instead took up a new hobby. Drinking and sitting on the sofa. But little Shelton tried his best to help around the shack they called home. Collecting cans an mowing yards for money to pay for groceries and rent, which really just meant buying beer and more beer. It wasn't always enough, so soon they would pack up their few meager belongings and headed to a new shack that didn't know of their inconsistent bill paying.

Eugene Shelton's thirteenth year of life was the year he had
his first cigarette, and what a wonderful thing it was. He finally found the one thing to keep the hunger pains at bay. The ones that sat like a lead weight in the pit of his stomach day in and day out. The boy who swiped them from his mom offered him one in an exchange for a kiss which he gladly provided in a desperate plea for some sort of physical comfort.

At 16 his father finally hit him. 'You look like your mother!' He yelled. And he did. He took comfort in his dark curly tresses, and in his big silver green eyes, and in his long fingers, and his lips, and his nose. His everything just screamed her. It was like God knew
she would be taken from them too early and gave him her likeness to remember her by.

It was also the year he came home one day to find that his father had moved, their rent-a-room given to someone else, and how truly alone he was.

School, Shelton found, was the only place where he could sneak food here and there. The place where he could shower once in a while. The place where he could find a quiet place to sleep and not be afraid to finally let his guard down, even if just for a moment. And once he found the lumber yard, being
homeless wasn't that hard. Uncomfortable maybe, but he made a nice little nook out of the leftover scrap wood at the back of the yard heap. The place closed early and started up early giving him his days to wonder around the city searching for work and occasionally abusing the air conditioning at the local school or library, and his nights to sleep. Life wouldn't always be this bad, right?

Damien Babineaux//18//Straight

Traits: + intelligent, chivalrous, genuine; - arrogant, sharp-tongued, quick to anger

Appearance:

2Q==

UllielRhiemsMFigaro07.3.jpg

Personality:

"You do not know me at all. You know of me. Let us get that straight, you low-level vermin."

Damien is narcissistic and overwhelmingly arrogant. Living in his native homeland of France until just three years ago, he's very bitter about the fact he's moved and looks down on everyone and everything in the United States. Though he speaks English well, he does still have a fairly prominent accent which tends to help him out with the chicks. He always seems to have a new girlfriend, if you can even call them that, given that they usually only last a week at most. He's fortunate enough to have been born to the home of a large business owner, so his family is wealthy. This also contributes to his whole 'It's not even funny how much better than you I am' attitude. He's generally used to getting whatever he wants, and when he doesn't he gets very angry. Still, he cares about women and has absolutely no tolerance for abuse in any form.

"France is my homeland. It is who I am. Now that I am here, I have lost myself."

Francis Babineaux married Evonna Travert when he was twenty years old. At the time he wasn't very wealthy, but he had grand ideas of owning his own company. Ten years later, he'd finally done it, and was the proud owner of several different companies, mostly involving the oil industry. About four years beforehand, though, he'd had his only child: Damien Babineaux.

Damien's early childhood had been fairly pleasant, although his parents seemed to hold him at arm's length. Their maid was really the one who spent the most time with him, the one who played with him on rainy days and the one who held his hand when he cried. His father was always busy, which was understandable, though it was painful for him at such a young age. He felt like his father didn't love him, and when he looked out the limousine's windows at all the kids in their front yards playing soccer with their fathers, he couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. Still, there were the magical moments where every now and then on the weekends he and his father would go out to lunch at some fancy restaurant. He felt special then.

When he was about twelve, disaster struck. His mother walked into a river and drowned herself. He remembered going outside and seeing her soft slippers sitting on the river bank, flashing blue as the light from the police cars reflected off from them. It was like his world had been turned upside down. Though he and his mother had not been super close, she was still his mother. And for the first time in his life, he saw his father cry.

It was only a few years later that Francis Babineaux married a woman who was visiting from America. Damien instantly hated her. He hated her accent, hated how she looked, hated her taste in food, and he hated her country. But somehow her country was where he had ended up. Though his father claimed it was because that was the wise decision for the company, Damien was skeptical. It was probably just for the woman. It had been when he was fifteen years old, in the beginning of his sophomore year. Ever since he moved, nothing mattered. Not his grades, not his classes, nothing. He isolated himself, looked down his nose at all of his peers, and was determined to hate everyone and everything in America. It didn't end up working out so well for him. Turns out his heart isn't made of stone, and he actually enjoys the company of a select few.

Alaska Rose Wilde//Age 18//Homosexual

Traits: +Observant, Polite, Affectionate ; -Paranoid, Self-deprecating, Secretive

Appearance:

"I'm not really that special, am I?"

images

Personality:

"I keep my enemies closer than my mirror ever gets to me."

Alaska is the kind of person who would much rather be behind the scenes than performing on stage. She has an eye for detail, and especially enjoys photography and oil painting. She pays attention to the details and looks for beauty in her surroundings. During conversations, she is much more of a listener than a talker. However, she has a basic idea of social skills and is sure to be polite to anyone she talks to (with the exception of her family). She is excellent at recognizing others' emotions - whenever her friends need someone, they can count on Alaska. She loves them dearly because they fully understand her, even with how crazy she gets. On the negative side, she is incredibly paranoid of people she doesn't know. She hides in her shell much too often, never coming out for days. Her inner demons are in a constant battle with her mind, and one look when she's vulnerable shows how much she truly hates herself. When she gets anxious or paranoid, she hides it. She believes that no one will listen if she tries to talk, so she keeps her feelings as close as she possibly can, never letting them show to the world.

Backstory:

"So you really want to know, huh?"

Alaska was born Catherine Rose Wilde. Her father was a conservative, high-ranking soldier and her mother was the stereotypical housewife. They were hoping for a boy to carry on the family name, but instead they were blessed with three girls. Alaska grew up among dresses and makeup, sleepover parties and gossip. Though her family moved around constantly for her dad's military job, her sisters never seemed to have trouble making friends. She, however, was shy and socially awkward. She attracted people, but not in the way that she wanted to. She was constantly bullied and picked on for no apparent reason. Her parents were distant, and the school never made any attempt to stop it. It was in sixth grade that she discovered the world of self-harm and became a frequent cutter to numb the pain of her classmates' remarks.

In her freshman year, she came to terms with her sexuality - something that she had always struggled with. She was the kind of girl who made her two Barbies kiss, but she never understood why. She finally had an explanation for her feelings, and she had never felt better. She made the decision to come out to her parents - a poor decision. Along with the bullying at school, she now had to endure verbal and physical abuse at home. However, she never thought to tell anyone about it. She silently endured it, listening to her parents rant about how she was no good and would be going to hell. Her old safety pin got tossed aside for a knife and the occasional burn. Now, she still smiles and pretends that everything is okay while on the inside, she is dying.

Personality

"I don't want to fade into the background anymore, it's lonely there..."

Abby is obsessed with school because of her great 'need' to become independent. She plans on getting into an Ivy League school on full scholarship, which is easier said than done. She has enough time on her hands to get it done though, what with her only after school activity being track and the occasional Honor Student meeting. She's nothing more then another nerd that becomes invisible the moment she steps out her door. Still she does have another side that not many take the time to get to know. Gentle and sweet, Abby is the cheerful girl that has a habit of making people feel comfortable around her. If only she had the confidence to be like that more, she might have more friends. She knows she's lonely in her world of books and just wants senior year to be different; for it to be exciting.

Backstory

"How do they do it? How do people shine so brightly?"

Born average and staying average. That's all that Abby Smith ever was, the average girl that blended in with the background like she was invisible. Abby was born on a hot spring afternoon to

Regina and Jonathon Smith, being the youngest of four children with three older brothers (Samuel, Blake, and Gareth). Abby developed a gentle personality simply because it was easier to function when everyone else in her family hard more extravagant ones. Still it was probably this that made her brothers become so protective of her. So protective that it made very hard for Abby to make friends with another in her neighborhood when they were around. By the time she started school she had grown used to people shying away from her because of her brothers and tried not to cause problems for others by befriending them.

She was in third grade when her mother died of leukemia. The death took effect her family a lot, though it was her father that seemed to be the most shaken by it. He took to drinking for the next few years until it got to the point that he could no longer function properly. It was around this time that Abby and her brothers decided that he needed help and sent him to a rehab facility. He was able to get clean rather quickly but relapsed after being discharged and was sent back (He relapsed 3 times and is now currently in the rehab facility for the fourth time) With him gone her eldest brother, Samuel, took care of them, dropping out of college so that he could work two jobs. When he realized that it wouldn't be enough he decided to sign up for the army, leaving his younger siblings with their

grandmother (house).

By the start of her high school career Abby's life had changed so drastically from her childhood that she began to close herself from everyone. Though she was still as cheerful as ever when at home she focused all her attention of studying so that she could become independent as soon as possible. This became almost like an obsession for her, enough that she missed out on a large part of her freshman, sophomore, and junior year because she wanted to do nothing but study. (During which time Blake joined the navy and Gareth went off to college on full scholarships.) The only thing that she actually did do was Track & Field, because running seemed to be the only thing she could to right other than studying. Now that her senior year has rolled around she's come to realize how lonely she was and wants to fix it. She plans to make her senior year the best she can, in bother social and academic aspects.

Traits: Thoughtful, Kind, Quiet Skittish, Closeted, Shy

Appearance:

mmtte1.jpg

Backstory:

Andrew was a happy child, he was outgoing and loud, even obnoxious. Him and his mother were at the park because Andrew was all riled up, as usual. His mother went across the monkey bars and Andrew willed himself to try, he wanted to prove to his mom that he was a big boy. His mother had gotten a cellphone call, she picked it up and turned her back for a second. When she looked back 5 year old Andrew was gone. He had fallen and hit his wrist against the ground, a man came up to him, explaining that his mother was in her car, and that he was taking him to the hospital to help his wrist, he was also told that his mother would be waiting. That's when 'it' started.

Andrew was taken miles away from his mother and into the mans arms. The man convinced Andrew over long periods of time and force that his mother had disowned him, and that the male was his real father. The man, Bryan to be specific was a drug addict. He didn't have money, so he sold Andrew. Andrew was raped in return for drugs, he would stay over night at unknown males homes. He first got raped when he was 8 years old. It just progressed from there. Bryan convinced Andrew that he was worthless, unneeded, just for use. By the time Andrew was 12 his innocence was gone. He was scarred, mentally and physically. Andrew was at his 'dads' number 1 dealers house, Justin. Andrew had been waiting to get raped..as usual--but Justin had other plans. Justin took Andrew and sold him to a man named Arian, who held him captive for 2 weeks and raped him..non stop. Andrew found a way out--and ran. He ran and he ran and he ran until he couldn't run anymore. At 16 Andrew was finally found. He was given back to his mother, and has never been the same since.

Personality:

Andrew is well, he is silent. He rarely speaks to those he doesn't know and doesn't entirely show emotion. Feelings are almost foreign to him, he doesn't know how to cope with them and can often come off stand offish. He is not the person to go to when you need comfort, because he simply doesn't know how to bring it forward. He doesn't understand the concept of love, hate and other things, the only thing he knows how to express is confusion and ruthlessness when angered. Although he has a silent nature, Andrew is quite the party-person. He loves dancing, music, alcohol and drugs and often uses them as a distraction from his haunting past.

Traits: +confient, +caring, +wise, -forgetful, -bitter, -quiet

Personality:

When you look up soft-spoken in the dictionary, Merriell's picture is there, clear as day, in black and white. This however does not make him shy. He accesses a situation before speaking. He holds his head high and walks with a quiet confidence. Others say he is wise beyond his years. He blames it on his forced love of reading, spending many days confined to his room with the musty smell of pages his only comfort. Mer' is polite, never speaking out of turn. He always remembers to say his 'please & thank-yous'. When confronted he holds his ground, and always sees the best in people. He's the model of the perfect citizen.

Merriell Leydon was born in the summer of 1994 to Barbra and Doctor William Leydon. They were thrilled to bring a happy bouncing baby boy into the world on their southern plantation house deep in the very heart of Alabama. Before long the young red head was toddling about, chasing after fire flies, guided by his Grandfather's strong hand.

The fall of 1999 brought along the falling and changing colors of the leaves. Bright reds, deep browns, subdued yellows, and stunning oranges. '
Miss Leydon, Mer and I were playin' in the back yard and he fell down. Ma'am, he ain't movin'.' a young blonde boy cried as he rushed onto the porch of the white plantation home where a Miss Barbra Leydon was rocking in her rocking chair enjoying the nice cool afternoon. 'What do you mean Sidney?' she asked. Without pause, Sidney dragged Merriell's mother towards the back of the large estate, a tall glass of iced tea clutched in her hands, as leaves crunched in their wake. Beneath Merriell's favorite tree, it's bark rich and large in circumference with limbs perfect for climbing, lay a small pale figure with a shock of bright red hair, red like the fall leaves surrounding him, silent and unmoving. Glass crashed to the ground with a sickening crack, as a mother screamed in fright. 'Hurry Sidney, go get Doctor Leydon, go get him now,' Barbra cried as she fell on top of her baby boy, 'Merriell can you hear me, Merriell honey wake up, open your eyes!'

The spring of 2004 brought bright flowers of soft pinks, gentle purples, and subtle blues.
'Mama, can't I go out and play with Sidney Phillips and the other neighbor boys like I use to? Please mama, please? I promise to be careful!' the now 9 year old Merriell Leydon asked. His mother sighed and shook her head as she motioned him back on his bed, placing his air tank on the wooden chair beside it. 'No baby boy you can't. You know your heart can't take all the activity, plus your grandfather Jasper should be stopping by to visit you any moment now. Why don't you just sit in bed and read or draw for now. Your father just picked up a new book about birds for you. You like birds don't you Mer?' Barbra replied as her soft hands reached up to fix the small boys breathing tube. 'I like how they can fly away.' He mumbled as he turned his gaze back to the circular window next to his bed, book laying forgotten at his side. With another weary sigh, Barbra crept out of the room, tear falling as she went.

The winter of 2010 brought with white. Cold, icy, and unforgiving white. '
Mama, why did God have to take Grandpa Jasper? It's not fair. He was my only friend. I wish I could just go with him, it won't be long now anyway.' the now 15 year old Merriell mumbled, his deep brown eyes cast down to stare at the clean new grave stone covered in a thin sheet of white snow. The name 'Jasper Leydon' was etched gracefully into it's grey face. 'Don't you say that Merriell Leydon. Don't you ever say that. You are a precious gift to this world, and don't you ever think differently, you hear?' Barbra Leydon sobbed, her hair now streaked with grey. Merriell's mittened hand grabbed his mothers shaking one. 'Can we visit him tomorrow, I have still have so much to tell him.' with that said Merriell lead his mother back to the car, where his father lay waiting, while the other dragged his air tank behind him. From far enough away they looked like black smudges on clean white drawing paper.

The fall of 2014 brought back ever changing leaves. With their colors bright as they flew on the wind.
'Mama I want to go to at least one year of public school. I want to experience what it's like to be a real teenager. Please mama, I'm a grown boy. Grandpa would have wanted it that way.' the now 18 year old Merriell Shelton begged as he followed his mother from room to room, his air tank clanking against the grooves in the hard wood floor. 'You have already finished your schooling Merriell, why do you want to go and learn things you already know? It makes no sense, dear, tell him it doesn't make any sense!' Barbra Leydon cried as she fell into her over stuffed armchair in the living room, using a frail hand to fan herself in her distress. 'Now Barbra darling, I think Mer is right. He deserves to see the world. It's only fair.' Doctor Leydon called from his library through the open door, the current news paper clutched lightly in his hands, folded open to the funnies page. 'Thank you papa. You won't regret this I swear!' Gene whooped as he fell into the window seat in the parlor, his mothers cries the back ground noise to his thoughts, 'The birds have left their nests for the upcoming winter. So will I.'

Petra "Peter" Andris//Age 17//Attracted to Males

Traits: + loyal, level-headed, pensive; - insecure, blunt, defensive

Appearance:

Personality:

"Who are you to tell me what I am and what I'm not?"

Peter has a quiet yet powerful way of holding herself. Though she didn't always in the past and though she does pretend to be a boy, she does not anymore think of herself as one. She doesn't particularly identify with either gender, she just identifies as herself. Though she does think before she says things, she doesn't hold back from offending people and calls it how she sees it. However she's also not one to stir up any unnecessary trouble; she'll only say something if she feels very strongly about it. Peter tends to be relaxed and goes with the flow. Her favorite activities would include smoking, drinking, and riding her Indian motorcycle.

Backstory:

Peter was born to Christopher and Meredith Andris. She had originally been named Petra after her late grandmother, and went by this name until she was thirteen. Her little brother was born two years after her and was named Lucas.

"You're the most beautiful girl the the whole wide world," her mother crooned, her voice soft behind Petra's head as she brushed the little girl's tawny brown hair in front of the big white mirror. Petra bit her lip and shook her head, looking at her mother's eyes in the mirror.

"But mommy, I don't want to be pretty."

As a little girl, Petra's hands were constantly in the mud. In the middle of suburbia where every neighbor sized up each other's worth by how many cars they owned and the size of their identical looking houses, she would totter along in overalls with hands full of worms. The neighborhood moms would look on in disapproval and their little girls in their little dresses would scream as the ragamuffin with the light brown pigtails would run towards them with a woodmouse caught in her chubby hands. Her first friend was Jake McCarthy, the boy who lived across the street, and in him she found what the other girls were lacking: a thirst for adventure. They fought with sticks, played with toy soldiers, and ran around together on the local playground. But he was older than her and once school started, Jake said that girls were gross, and he stopped playing.

"I don't like it!" Petra called out, looking at herself in the mirror. The dress was white and flowy, stopping just around her knees. "Honey, it's the first day of school. Can't you wear a dress for once? For me? Please?" her mother responded.

"It feels like I forgot my pants."

In her elementary school years she befriended her first girl. She was named Rose Pendleton, and they were exact opposites. Rose had started Poms when she was only about five, and lived just down the street. Rose had given herself a mission to make Petra more of a girl. She encouraged her to wear skirts and dresses and taught her how to 'sit like a lady.' During the weekdays Petra dealt with it, wanting the other girl to like her, but on the weekends she spent her life with her dad and her little brother in the woods. They hunted, fished, and barbecued. She learned how to figure out which way a dear went and how to identify an animal by the prints it left in the dirt and the scat it dropped on the ground. She saw real live bears and watched snakes slither through the leaves. She got involved in a hockey team and played alongside the boys with a love for the viciousness of the sport. They were her friends. And so, after the season was over and all of the team was invited to a sleepover, she didn't quite understand why she was left out. Why her mom said she couldn't join them. Still, in school her experiences made her interesting to the elementary schoolers, and soon she was almost popular because she was weird. In fourth grade that changed. Suddenly being quirky became a sin.

"I don't want to be friends anymore. You're so annoying. Can't you just act normal for once? And actually brush your hair sometime, loser." The words of Rose echoed in her mind as she stared in the mirror at her long unruly hair.

"Why does no one like me?"

The end of her reign crashed down on her like a tidal wave. With the abandonment of Rose Pendleton, all of the kids who previously had looked up to her left. She was made fun of relentlessly for the way she looked and the fact that her long hair, which she greatly resented her mother for making her grow out, was largely untouched by a comb except when her mother forced her to. Just like they had when she was young, all the little girls hated her. They hated her for wearing loose boy's pants and baggy sweatshirts. They hated her for the way the boys hung out with her, not understanding it was because they were just friends. Most of all, they hated her because they loved having someone to hate.

The buzz of the razor against her scalp almost scared her as she looked into the mirror and pulled it toward the nape of her neck, but the large swaths of dark hair falling around her were a comfort.

"I'm not Petra anymore. I'm Peter now."

Her mother actually cried when she saw the eleven year old freshly-buzzed Petra and cried even harder when her daughter, her only daughter, told her that she wanted to be called Peter. Long harsh talks echoed late into the night for awhile. In the end, they came to nothing. The start of school was the first major test. The same students that she had grown up all her life with would now be who she had to face. Though she now had a short haircut to match the baggy clothes she wore, her face was still the same one she'd always had and she would be easily recognized. Still, even if the girls hated her she was sure at least the boys would accept her fully now. She had always been more of a boy, hadn't she? She'd never been like the other girls. It was only fitting that she was like this.

She stared into the mirror, hating the face that looked back at her. Why hadn't it changed along with her hair? Why didn't the boys treat her like one of them?

"What makes us so different?"

She'd been isolated. Her brother was embarrassed of her. Her previous friends scorned her. Her mother longed for the girl she'd never been. Only her father didn't hate her. With the coming of her age came a newfound hatred for herself and her body. She was ashamed of the fact that she was a girl, and did everything she could do to hide it. Thankfully for her, her slender frame was not full-figured, and she was blessed with a boyish figure. It was like for the first time in her life she felt like there was someone looking out for her. After the high school that she previously attended with her younger brother shut down, she and Lucas were transferred to Langston Prep.

Personality:

"Stop bein' an ass and maybe you'll find out."

Axel is a care free person that doesn't take about himself, preferring to keep his past in the past. This is mostly because he hates his mother and lost contact with his father nearly seven years ago. He's what you'd consider a rebel, though its not like he does it for attention. He's gotten enough attention for his lifetime in his personal opinion. Axel decided a long time ago that he will do what he wants, when he wants.

Backstory:

"Back the h*ll up, who do you think you are to try and know me?"

Axel was born in France and spent the first ten years of his life traveling Europe with his musician father. It wasn't exactly the most glamorous life; he shared a motorhome with six other people after all. Still it was what gave Axel the care free spirit that he has today. When he was eleven his mother, a lawyer who had Axel at 17, decided that he needed a better upbringing and brought him to London to live with her and her new family.

Living in the straight collar society Axel clearly didn't fit in. To vent his anger he continued playing music which he had learned from his father. Or at least he did until his mother used music against him, signing him up for piano and classical music. He became a mere bragging tool for his mom when he progressed to a national level at the age of 16. It didn't last long though, he soon got tired of it and entered what his mother thought was a 'rebellious' stage.

In order to knock it out of him (more like hide him) they sent him to live in America.

"If he was as nice as his @*$ looked, things would be gravy."

¡Homosexual!

"Have you seen these abs?"

>>>>Male®<<<<

+Sincere, Endearing, Loyal -Narcissistic, Oblivious, Talkative

Blake is a cool guy, always ready to chill or make time for any of his friends. Was held back a year due to an unfortunate incident involving a bet, a crayon, and a teacher's skirt. He tends to like his body a little too much, but it doesn't take away from his good qualities. Once he's in your life, there is no going back. He is known for falling in love before actually getting to know the guy...which ends up bad on his part. He also has an odd penchant for cherry flavored jolly ranchers in vanilla ice cream.

Backstory: Had a as close to a good life as he possibly could. Maybe even better. Sure, his mom had a kid at a young age, dropped him off with his Grandma, and left town. But, his grandma loved him like no other person could--maybe spoiled him a bit, but who could say no to that cute face. She also taught him a valuable lesson. Love, unconditionally. Because after all, love free's everyone, right?

"I wanna get so trashed, I forget where I parked his car."
