Realistic or Modern In The Heights

Crookie

night of the living punk
[Plot in Overview!

This roleplay is based off of the Lin-Manuel Miranda Broadway musical, with a twist! By all means, you do not have to go listen to the whole musical, but it'd be nice t lend an ear to the opening number, and their performance at the Tony's. Just for a taste of what this whole fiasco is all about.]

(ima be a rebel because it's obvious we're not gonna start anytime soon if we wait for Crookie)

Kristin yawned, lifting her head off her pillow, looking bleary eyed at the sunlight streaming into her room "Another day..." She groaned hoisting herself out of bed and to her kitchen where she started to make a pot of coffee "Wonder if Sammy's up to anything today.." She murmured monotonely

(@Quiet Is Violent GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

oooO Sammy Oooo

Sammy was up at the crack of dawn. She hadn't rested much, she had too much to do. She had summer school she is going to voluntarily. She loved books. She loved learning. But it was also sometimes boring. A few hours later, Sammy climbed up Kristin's fire escape, tapping on the window casually, as if that was a totally normal thing to do.

Kristin jumped and walked over to her window and opened it, allowing Sammy in "Ya know you could just use the door right?" She walked over to the kitchen and grabbed a cup of coffee "Want one?"

oooO Sammy Oooo

"That's boring. Plus, that requires me having access to your apartment. Which I don't. So I came in through the window." Then Kristin offered her coffee. "HELL YEAH I WANT COFFEE!" Sammy practically screamed.

Kristin looked at Sammy then at the coffee and sighed "That might not be the best idea.. how about a non caffeinated drink like.... milk...? or water? Because I'd rather not have you do any more bouncing off the walls in this crappy apartment"

Sammy laughed loudly. "You are hilarious. Coffee will work, thank you very much." She sat down on a chair and crossed her legs. "I haven't had a cup yet today. I'm waiting for Usnavi's shop to open so I can buy all of the coffee he has."

"Oh dear baby Jesus, please don't Sammy" Kris chuckled "This city isn't big enough for you to do that"

"This city is 306 square miles. There is no possible way that my coffee buzz will make the city collapse. Now, where is the coffee?"

"I'm going to regret this" She handed Sammy a cup of hot, warm, and steamy coffee.

[QUOTE="Quiet Is Violent]Sammy sipped the coffee, a small smile spreading across her face. "Mmmm, yummy." She grinned. "Thanks, Kristin!"

"Please just call me Kris, I dislike being called by my full name" She sighed and looked at Sammy, pouring herself another cup of coffee

"Right, sorry about that." Sammy giggled. The caffiene was kicking in. "Anyways, how did you sleep? Are you busy today? We should go up to Castle gardens!" She said all this almost too quickly to be comprehensible.

"Sweet! Let's go!" Sammy cheered, climbing out the window. "Unless you have things you need to do?"

Kris face palmed and looked down at her pajamas "Yeah, I might wanna get dressed first, now shoo, I'll meet you at Usnavi's shop ok?"

In about 15 minuets, Kris had gotten dressed and was headed down to Usnavi's shop. When she got there she looked for Sammy "Where the hell is she?"

~Eliza~

Eliza was alone, walking down the street towards a locally owned shop. It was owned by a man named Usnavi's, who she knew a bit. She recognized a few faces as she approached, wanting to get her daily shopping done so she could get home to Daya. She had found a babysitter, some teenage girl, but never felt quite right leaving her alone with someone else.

Eliza arrived at the shop, and saw a teen she recognized. "Hey, Sammy," she waved with a small smile. "What's up?" She was slightly wondering why the girl was sitting outside on such a hot day.

--Sammy--

Sammy smiled at Eliza. She was a nice enough woman, and her devotion to her daughter was admirable. "Hi, Eliza! I'm just waiting for Kris; we are going to Castle Gardens to hang out today." Sammy said loudly and quickly. Her leg bounced restlessly.
