It appears you're missing something, Justin. I read your CS, and did not quite see it. If I missed it, pardon me, as it is currently 3:30A. Without this special something, I cannot approve ( I want to so badly :o please add the missing something, only when you've found it and read everything about the RP).

Did you forget to click the Writing Part of my app? Pretty sure I made it vague, yet still noticeable there. ;)

Yay, thanks! ^_^

I'll try to get Sukia's profile uploaded at some point either today or tomorrow... might be later, though, because I have work today and another interview tomorrow. x_x'

[ Full Name ]

Sukia

[ Alias ]

Sukia/ Sukes / (Occasionally) Suki

[ Age ]

18

[ Gender ]

Female

[ Hometown ]

Wilderness

[ Species ]

Fokka (Wingless Bird People)

[ Alignment ]

Neutral Good

[ Occupation ]

Mercenary, Guard, Warrior

[ Political View ]

Having spent a lot of time on the road, Sukia's view on Politics are "Uninterested" at best. Her Ancestors were once a group of Mercenaries that were hired by Ganon's Minions to guard his castle back in the Olden Days. However, once the Hero of Old managed to defeat them, the Fokka scattered, and before long, vanished into obscurity. Very little was heard of them beyond that point, and their associations with Ganon's forces back then could've potentially lead to a few complications between the Hylians and Rito before... however, such history is to be debated.

[ Relationship ]

Leoni Jhonhu - Hylian Male - Best Friend (Though she starts to develop more romantic feelings for him. Her Stoic Demeanor and Warrior Spirit makes expressing such feelings difficult for her, though, and oft results in her sending the wrong message his way.)

[ Appearance ]

She has dark feathers with white brows and a white feathery chest and belly, yellow talons and beak, and Piercing Red Eyes. She wears Red Rito Platemail with Red Hylian Gauntlets, and always has her trusty Buster Sword with her, in addition to her Utility Belt, Quiver, and Longbow.

[ Personality ]

Firm, Straight-To-The-Point, Loyal, and Shy when Nervous.

[ Biography ]

A Fokka Girl with a strong, stoic demeanor. Having been rescued by Leoni at the age of Four (he was Twelve at the time), she has since then sworn to be his Guard, and Lifelong Companion. As the years passed, she would develop a crush on him, but wouldn't be certain how to express them, seeing how the feelings are foreign to her own species... and that such a relationship would surely stir up a lot of Scandal and Controversy.

A Master of the Greatsword and Longbow, Sukia spent most of her life under Rigorous Training, teaching herself her own Fighting Styles, while also studying from the books of Leoni's Father and Grandfather.

[ Talents ]

"Fokka" - Racial - The Fokka are among the most Acrobatic Races to date. She can easily leap several hundred feet in the air, and won't suffer from Fall Damage, no matter how heavy her armor is, nor how high the landing is.

"Outlandish Strength" - Racial - If she isn't as strong as a Goron, she's still very close! Capable of holding off foes thousands of times her size with her Buster Sword as a makeshift shield for some of them. With the "Dominate" Ability, she can "Clash" with her opponents, regardless of size, and if successful, she could stun them for a good 10 seconds by countering their attempted strike!

"Keen Instincts" - Racial - Her Eagle Eyes aren't just for show! With Vision and Hearing capable of rivaling the Rito, she can easily spot something or someone from hundreds of miles away, and give a clear description while doing so. Furthermore, she can "Track" her targets using the lay of the land.

"Endurant" - From "Rigorous Training" - Years of Rigorous Training and Exercise has given her quite the Athletic Tone! She can take as much hits as she can dish out, and then some... and she can dish out quite a lot!

"Rigorous Training" - From "Mercenary" Class - She has seen her fair share of battles, and learned how to use her weapons properly. Her Specialized Weapon would be 2H Swords, and her Secondary would be Longbows.

[ Abilities ]

"Solid Strike" - 1S Cast/ Instant Effect/ 30S Cooldown - The user focuses their next strike towards a Vital Area. Whether it hits or not, the close proximity to said area could leave the opponent with a nasty wound!

"Perfect Block" - Instant Cast/ 5S Effect/ 10M Cooldown - If they block a shot perfectly, the impact of their Buster Sword causes vibrations to violently shake the opponent's weapon loose, and temporarily stunning them for 5 Seconds! Doesn't work on Projectiles, Arrows, Explosives, or Magic, however.

"Spin Attack" - 5S Cast/ 5S Effect/ 30S Cooldown - The user grips their weapon firmly, before spinning it around quickly and repeatedly, Once, Twice, or even Three times.

"Whirlwind Blades" - 5S Cast/ 30S Effect/ 30M Cooldown - The user makes use of all of their appendages to perform a much more powerful "Spin Attack", oftentimes swapping hands mid-spin, and striking multiple opponents in several areas. Racial Bonus: The user stands on one talon and also gains the benefit of using their claws in addition to their weapon(s), occasionally using their lower talons to hold their weapon with a grip as strong as their upper talons! The attack leaves the user dizzy after 30 Seconds, stunning them for 5 seconds so they can regain their composure.

"Paralyzing Gaze" - Instant Cast/ 10S Effect/ No Cooldown - The user looks at their opponent with a fierce glare, stunning them in fear for ten seconds. It can only be used once per battle, however, and striking the opponent removes their Paralysis, replacing it with a 3S Fear Effect, making them lose the will to attack, and instant switch to evasive maneuvers.

"Dominate" - Instant Cast/ 10S Effect/ 1H Cooldown - The user stretches their arms out, and catches an opponent's weapon at the last second, before pushing back with equal or stronger force! Upon successfully "Dominating" an opponent, it leaves them Stunned and Paralyzed for 10 Seconds, unable to regain their footing until the time is passed. Muscle Spasms shortly follow the user, however, preventing them from Dominating another opponent for at least an hour!

"Warlord's Shout" - 3S Cast/ 5M Effect/ 10M Cooldown - The user lets out a fierce war cry, granting their party five minutes of "Determination", which increases their Strength and Endurance slightly, for a short amount of time.

"Focused Shot" 10S Cast/ Instant Effect/ 5S Cooldown - The user draws an arrow, and takes at least thirty seconds to steady their shot for perfect aim. Once fired, the arrow will be aimed at either a Vital Area or an Exposed part of the opponent's armor, should they be wearing some. Racial Bonus: It only takes 15 Seconds to cast!

(More to be Added/Learned at a later date...)

[ Weaknesses ]

"No Magic" - Unlike many races in Hyrule, the Fokka are pure Strength and Agility, at the cost of Magical Prowess. In addition to this, their feathers make them very weak to Fire.

"Social Outcast" - Not many know of the Fokka, and usually seek to avoid them altogether. Only a select few would dare approach one, and even fewer without a weapon close at hand for protection.

"Blunt" - She says things as they appear to her, which can oftentimes come out as "Harsh" or "Rude". While not necessarily her intentions, it doesn't make her words any less impactful.

"Lack of Humor" - She doesn't understand jokes, and oftentimes flusters when she's the subject in question.

"Shy" - Remaining silent and fierce while on her job isn't just simply her duty... it's also because she's nervous around strangers, even when she doesn't show it.

"Lightweight Drinker" - Whether the Bird in her, or the Non-Bird in everyone else, she can not handle Alcohol, and avoids it altogether, despite being a Warrior.

"Cold Judgement" - She doesn't mind killing her foes, whoever they may be. If they deserve it, she even takes a bit of pride in doing so.

[ Strengths ]

"Respectable Fighter" - She can't be taken down easily, but that doesn't make her immortal. If defeated in a fair fight, she will respect her betters, and acknowledge their power with an honest smile.

"Soft Side" - While she may be harsh on the outside, and be quick to kill her opponents she deems 'Unworthy', she can not deny the fact that she wishes to branch out and better herself for her friends and allies she makes during her travels. She occasionally does so by giving her friends a gift she found on the road as a show of gratitude.

"Light Eater" - She doesn't need much to sustain her hunger. However, this doesn't mean she doesn't need to drink a good bit of water to keep herself well-hydrated!

"Immense Strength" - Not everyone can pull a Molduga out of the sand with their bare talons, and simply address it as "Sand Fishing"... but it looks like someone can! (Bonus Strength due to her Race and Class.)

"Authoritative Voice" - She strikes fear into her foes, and even her friends, from time to time. She can Intimidate many things, Guards and Monsters, included!

"Quick Responses" - She can sense anyone and anything from hundreds of miles away, and react accordingly in response.

"Fearless" - She is immune to the Fear Effect, and will not cower from Massive Opponents. However, she is less likely to back down from a challenge, as well.

[ Preferences ]

While she may not say it out loud, she loves remaining by Leoni's side. She also loves all kinds of fruit and likes rare metals. She is unbiased to most other things like jewelry and common gifts. She dislikes Rusty Equipment and absolutely hates mud and sticky substances, due to it clumping up her feathers. She has no Political Opinions, and shows no interest in learning about it.

[ Quote ]
"He may not look it, but Leo has a strong heart. He saved my life, in fact... I owe him everything, and swore my sword to him and his family when I was only 4... I still stand by that promise to this day, and don't regret it for one moment. So if you're thinking of going anywhere with him, you'd damn well better expect me to be there by his side, as well. Is that going to be a problem?"

[ Writing Sample of Character ]

The road through the heavy storm was difficult to tread through for the young bird-like girl, who was dressed only in a thin brown skirt and sleeveless shirt. Most of her feathers were black, though her chest's feathers were a bright silver color.

"I think it went that way!" came the voices of the men that chased her... Bandits. Former Hunters, too, who were after one thing... and after witnessing what they did to her parents mere hours ago, it was clear they wanted the entire family!

She was completely out of breath, and so she hid behind a tree, where held her breath, and leaned down, so that the bushes would cover her from their vision.

Oh, how this vile storm would just be on her side, for once, would be a blessing, to say the least... but alas, these Hylians, although bandits, were skilled enough at tracking their targets... especially considering the cuts on her arms and legs, where their arrows nicked her. There was no doubt in her mind that she would likely pass out soon from mere blood loss!

"Come on out, Lil' Birdie! We promise, we won' 'urt ya!" one of the men called out, his voice now unnervingly close.

Another man's voice added, "Yeah! Ya won' feel a thing! I o'ly wants a small feather, is all! C'mon, me family's starvin', an' I could use the rupees!"

"Aye, an' me as well!" came the third male's voice. "Me children are sick in bed, an' I ain't got a choice... please, jus' turn yerself in, an' let us feed our starving folks!"

A fourth one, however, spoke in a much deeper voice. "Well I ain' gonna beat aroun' the bush. Kid, yer comin' wit' us, one way or another! If you behave on the way to our camp, we can take ya in, feed ya... an' when yer old enough, mayhap' we can 'elp ya even more... make ya one of us!"

The other three laughed, while she closed her eyes and held her beak shut. The rain only intensifying, and mixing with the tears that began to coat her feathery cheeks, was no tool she could use against these... monsters!

She might've only been a child, barely getting past the walking stage, but she was smart enough to tell who to trust, and who not to trust... and if they were the same ones that killed her parents in cold blood, she knew very well not to trust a single word they said.

A tall shadow soon cast itself over her. She opened her eyes only quickly, before noticing the huge Hylian man with a scar over his right, silky white eye, looking down at her with a predatory grin on his face.

"... Boo."

He leaned down and, before she could even react, grabbed ahold of her. His hands were massive, capable of covering her entire body, save her head and her toes. Being only four years old, she was unable to do most of what her parents could, like run twice the speed of a horse, or leap up higher than a Four-Story Mansion... those kinds of feats were usually developed at around the age of Eight!

He held her firm enough to where she couldn't even struggle. The only thing she was able to do was wheeze as he carried her over to his comrades, who already had their swords drawn, still bearing hints of the crimson from their last targets.

As soon as he let her go, the smaller bandits quickly circled her, pinning her to the ground, so that they could bind her up with iron chains.

It was at this point, that her consciousness started to fade. The last thing she could see was the fourth one slamming a small-looking cage right in front of her.

When she woke up, the rain had stopped. She was no longer bound to the chains, however, she was no longer on the road. Now, she was inside a fortress, walled off with thick wooden walls. In the center of the fortress was a campfire, where a large pot rested in the center.

The four bandits were sitting around it, stirring up its contents with cheerful grins on their faces.

One of them, the skinniest of the bunch, was the one stirring it. He lifted the ladle up, and gave the contents a small taste, before slipping the ladle back in and smacking his lips in delight.

"Mmm... seems the Monster Stew's almost ready, Fergus!" he said, giving the fourth bandit (the one that caught her) a quick glance.

The second bandit, who was somewhere in-between Fergus and the skinny one, rubbed his lips, before spitting at the side. "Well 'urry it up there, Magu! We've got another belly ta feed, an' I sure as Din's Flaimin' Teats ain' gonna be the one ta feed 'er!"

Magu rolled his eyes before stirring the stew once again. "Meh. Still no' sure why we even keepin' the lil' bird. I mean, no' like she'll even be willin' ta eat this stew. Ya sure she won' recognize the smell or somethin'?"

"She's a bloody Monster, Magu! Everyone knows monsters don' do much thinkin'! 'Ell, when we found these two, they were barely even wearin' any armor, so they clearly ain't Rito... 'sides, ye know many Rito who can't even fly?"

"Magu, Ladon, cease your pointless babbling... besides, it looks like our 'Monster' there is awake, now." Fergus commented, before motioning towards the cage were the bird girl was sitting.

Her bright red eyes were now widely opened up in shock, given the information she had just received. These bandits were Cooking her Parents... and they expected her to eat them!

"Hmm... looks like it's good enough, Magu. Tiro, why don't you be the one to bring it to her?" Fergus asked the third bandit, who was silent the whole time.

"Yeah, Tiro! Why don' ya pass it to 'er? After all, ye are the one wit' the sick child!"

Tiro said nothing, however, as he remained sitting there... unusually stiff.

"Tiro?" Magu began to question, before approaching their third member, and giving him a curious poke.

The three bandits jumped in shock when they saw that his skin has taken a dark blue hue.

"W-what the-" was all that Magu could muster out, before a large flash engulfed them all.

The flash only took a brief moment to them, but by the time it ended, they rubbed their eyes, and looked towards Tiro... only to find that he was no longer there!

"Tiro?!" Fergus began, turning around towards the cage. There, he rubbed his eyes confusedly, as he saw that Tiro was now standing in front of the cage door with his blue arms outstretched.

The bird girl was still sitting there, staring confusedly at the scene before her.

The bandits glared before reaching to grab their swords and bows... only to find that they were no longer where they put them!

"What in Ganon's Blazing Piggy Balls is goin' on 'ere?!" Magu shouted, only for the flash to engulf the three of them again.

When they looked towards the gate again, they were in shock upon seeing that the bird girl was no longer inside the cage! The iron corners were still intact! However, from the looks of things, it was Tiro inside the cage, this time!

But his skin was no longer blue, and he was fuming in anger.

"Grr... WHERE DID THAT DAMNED CHILD GO?! I'LL RIP 'IS BLOODY TONGUE OUT!" Tiro shouted in a voice as gruff as Fergus's.

The other bandits looked at each other confusedly, before turning to face their caged comrade. "What child?!"

A loud whistling caught all their attention. When they turned around they saw, not only the girl, but a Hylian Boy, likely 12 years of age, standing between her and them. He had bluish green eyes and brown hair. He wore a light brown tunic with a bright green pair of pants, and dark leather boots over his feet. His belt was adorned with a few small pouches and bags.

He grinned smugly at the bandits, while waving his hand their way. "Nice castle you guys have... not as good as Hyrule, though. Who are you guys supposed to be, anyways? The Dirty Laundry Thieves?"

"Why you-" Magu began, before the boy quickly tossed a small brown acorn-shaped object in-between them.

It was at this point when the bandits realized what was going on... the boy was using Deku Nuts to stun them!

By the time the flash appeared, however, it was already too late. As soon as Magu rushed forward, he tripped over the iron chain that was now wrapped around his legs, and tied firmly.

"Magu! Hold on, I'll get the little-" Ladon began, only to fall over as well, having tripped over his own trousers, which were pulled down to his ankles.

Fergus looked around carefully, before he felt a tap on his left leg. Turning around, he saw the boy looking up at him with a Slingshot fully stretched, and aimed at his head, with a Deku Seed tucked into it!

"YOU LITTLE-" was all Fergus could shout, before the seed flew and ricocheted from the center of his forehead, causing him to recoil backwards, and trip over the chain, which was, apparently, not only tied to Magu's legs, but also tied to the cage as well, where Tiro was still trapped, but now unconsciously laying.

The boy then undid one of his bags, which served as a makeshift bola, and tossed it up, where it wrapped itself over a branch. The bag appeared to have a small tear in it, with what appeared to be several Deku Nuts just barely sticking out.

Before Fergus could even stand back up, the boy tossed another Deku Nut between the four bandits, freezing them all in place.

The boy finally whistled loudly, in three distinct, high-pitched tones - the first being a Low "Re", the second being a High "Do", and the third being a "Ti", just a single notch below the High "Do".

(( Going by the "Do" "Re" "Mi" "Fa" "So" "La" "Ti" and High "Do" System. Not entirely sure how to describe sounds any other way, sadly. It's basically the same whistling tone that the Scorpion King did to call his horse. ))

Mere seconds after he whistled, a bird appeared from the treeline, and started to peck at the bag. Not wasting a second, the boy then quickly lifted the bird girl up in his arms, and carried her bridal-style towards the Front Gate.

Fergus was only able to wake up and look towards his targets escape, before a Deku Nut, having fallen from the tree over their heads, landed on the ground beside him, freezing the four of them once again. This process would go on for quite some time.

Though the storm was gone, a light sprinkle was still dripping from the sky. Within a small tent, the bird girl sat with her lower talons tucked within her upper ones, while the boy, who was sitting across from her, continued rubbing a small herbal medicine over the cuts and bruises.

"That should help with the pain... don't worry, I left a trail that'll only lead the bandits further away from us, and covered the way up here." the boy said, smiling reassuringly at the girl. "Are you okay?"

The girl said nothing, but nodded her head nonetheless... however, the answer was, without a doubt, only a half-truth.

The boy scratched the back of his hair, his smile no longer present. "I'm... I'm sorry about your parents. If I were there sooner, I would've stopped them."

"..." The girl remained ever-so-silent, most likely due to the traumatic experiences she just survived.

"... Well, I guess I'll just give you some space to... huh?!"

Before the boy could even stand back up to leave, the girl's talons were already wrapped around his waistline, as if silently telling him to stay.

"I... well, okay, then... but my Dad should be getting back from his trip to the Castle Town. He had to go get Mom a new Passport, after all, and I... might have to tell him that... y'know... you're in my tent? So that he doesn't get some funny ideas, and stuff... also so we can get you one, as well!"

"Please... s-stay..." she whimpered, just barely loud enough for the Hylian boy to hear.

He sighed, before gently patting her talons with his hands. "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. I'll stay as long as you want me to."

"..."

"..." 'Well, this is awkward...' the boy thought to himself, before looking over his shoulder towards the little bird girl, who at the time, stood only half his height.

"So, umm... got anything you wanna ask? Or, are we just gonna stand here and wait for the Next Coming of Lady Hylia?"

She remained silent for another moment, before mumbling, though this time too quiet for him to hear.

"I'm sorry... can you repeat that?" He leaned a little closer to hear her.

"W-who... who are you?" she asked.

He patted her talon again, and replied, "Ah. Right... my name's Leoni... but you can call me Leo, if you want. All my friends do, at least."

"L-Leoo... Knei? Gnee-Oh-Lee... w-what H-how do you say that?" she mumbled, before sighing. "L-Leo... Leo?"

He chuckled, before shaking his head. "Probably hard to say it with a beak... no offense. But hey, just Leo's fine."

She nodded her head, before resting her forehead on his back.

"So, uh... you do know I won't run off now, right? You... can let go if you'd like." This, of course, triggered the opposite reaction from her, and only made her squeeze him tighter. "O-or you can just crush my stomach, that's fine, too. Totally not like I had to use the garderobe, or something like that..." he deadpanned, starting to feel his cheeks develop an embarrassed blush. No girl would've ever been this touchy-feely with him, and this one looks like she's barely gotten out of her diapers!

"Well, then... you've got my name... mind if I ask you what yours is?" he finally asked. This was what it took to get her to release him, much to his relief.

"M-my name?" she parroted, looking up at him, seemingly oblivious to the strength she put into her hug. With the healing herbs doing their trick, her wounds were already starting to heal.

He turned around and nodded his head, before leaning down to where he was facing her at eye-level. "Well, yeah! You've got a name, don't you?"

She nodded her head, before staring deeply into his eyes; Crimson Red meeting Bluish Green. Taking a deep breath, she cleared her throat, and replied... this time, in a little more than just a simple whisper, speaking as if from a line which her father once said for her to tell others, when she came of age.

"M-my name is Sukia... and I am a Fokka. We are a Warrior Race, who leads a life of Loyalty and Honor, for those that they deem worthy of trust. And in you saving my life, I swear to you, my sword, that I shall guard your own life, in return for your bravery, until the day that I draw my last breath."

He stared at her, now dumbfounded at her sudden change in demeanor. 'Did I miss something?' he thought, as she stood there, almost mimicking the posture of a Soldier.

They stared at each other for a moment, before he scratched the back of his hair awkwardly.

"Umm... okay, then? Just saying 'Sukia' would've worked, though... didn't need to go through... whatever that speech was..."

Her random strong demeanor soon was replaced with her own form of embarrassment. "W-well, my father said to say it as it is, and mean it!"

"Right... but if I remember correctly, wasn't it me that saved you?"

"Y-yes! And I swear my sword to your side, so that I may protect you!"

He deadpanned at her again, and crossed his arms, before a smug smile formed on his face yet again. "Oh? And... where exactly is your sword at?"

She groaned, before tossing her talons to the side, arguing, "W-well I didn't forge it, yet! But when I do, I'll use it to protect you!"

And like the children that they were, they continued to bicker about it for about an hour, until they ended it in childish laughter. The following morning, she explained her situation to Leo's parents, who were quite shocked. While they took her into their Traveling Caravan with open arms, they also grounded Leo for three weeks, as punishment for almost getting himself killed by bandits... although they did mention how proud they were of him, for saving someone's life.

While they told him he was a hero, however, he denied it, saying he was just doing what he thought was right. Nothing more, and nothing less.

Little did they know that this would eventually lead to an interesting friendship, the likes of which would be deemed rare, uncommon, and in some cases, frowned upon, several years to come...
