My Interest Check
Main RP: In Need of a Hero - Legend of Zelda

To assure that the roleplay is consistent, it is vital that you have looked over all of the roleplay universe's information. Additionally, please give extensive information and detail on your character :) Non-canon, OC, or canon is okay, just get in touch with me if you prefer to do a canon character.

BBCode is okay, but not required.

Be mindful and respectful of others and their characters. For the roleplay to be able to progress, it is asked that you refrain from one-liners or paragraphs that do not support efficient detail for others to use in replying. If you have trouble replying, let me know, and I will do my best to help or advise!

Additionally, your character may not be invincible, and you may not have a character who is omniscient (they know what others are thinking or about to do) unless the ability to do so is granted by myself or the character's writer.

Be active and as realistic as possible (meaning no overpowering, no sudden ability to kick ass when your character is a pacifist and struggles lifting a sword).

If you have read this and have read everything else in this first post of the RP, then answer this question somewhere in your CS's appearance: What is required of a person when they try to cross territories or into kingdoms?

[ Alias ]
Adrik

[ Age ]

[ Relationships ]
Ruth Caromy ↔ Fiance - deceased
Zachra Obene ↔ Father Figure

[ Hometown ]
Kakariko Village

[ Species ]
Hylian-Goron

[ Alignment ]
Fused Shadows/Forbidden Powers

[ Occupation ]
Thief and Mercenary

[ Political View ]
Anti-Hyrule - referring to royal family, is opposed to all practices and law from the Hyrule family
Anti-Hero
Racist against Hylians, prejudice against anyone in upper class

[ Appearance ]
Adrik stands approximately 6'4" with a fair build accompanied by a sturdy frame and musculature that weighs roughly 255lbs. Although his blood courses with more Hylian than Goron, his muscles are rock solid and he bears pearly white scales and stalactites of quartz along his arms and legs, most notably around his wrists, and shoulders. The evidence of Hylian within him stems from his pointed ears and humanoid form.

Gifted with complexion kissed by the sun, Adrik's white hair and narrow, cerulean eyes are incredibly contrasted and noticeable by many. Especially his right eye that holds astigmatism and a milky hue. It is regrettably his bad eye, its vision weaker than his right. He gets his cheekbones from his mother, and bears an embarrassing birthmark on his behind that is said to match his father's. On his left arm is an inked symbol for strength while his other arm adorns a symbol for his guild, Ophidian.

He's often garbed in brown trousers, leather guards that cover his forearms, black boots, and a dark bluish-gray tunic.

[ Personality ]
Adrik is judgmental and arrogant, borderline childish, and incredibly opinionated. To say he's stubborn, thick-headed, is a bit of an understatement. He appears foolhardy and quick to jump to conclusions, traits that often get him into trouble. Especially his habit of speaking without considering the situation. Although he is boastful about his experience, knowledge, and achievements, Adrik has rudimentary knowledge on most if not all daily activity and life that does involve thievery, brutality, and the underground of Hyrule. It's likely due to his upbringing in Ophidian, having been brainwashed and raised into a thief who excels at stealth and close combat.

Although Adrik was blessed with a flurry of negative traits, he is dubbed as one of the most trustworthy and determined mercenaries in Ophidian. Cursed with an urge to prove himself constantly, he's often described as loyal and motivated with the inability to lie. Cursed with both perfection and success, Adrik also has the unwilling and reluctant ability to be very expressive in both facial and vocal expression.

He can be rather bloodthirsty, something he hates to admit, and violent. It's enticed by the foreign thoughts that linger within him, thoughts that are not of his own, or so he believes.

[ Biography ]
Born into poverty and cruelty, Adrik was taught the dark, grimy work of a criminal at an early age. His parents, a female Hylian and male Goron, abandoned him at birth only for him to be taken in by the Ophidian guild, a band of thieves and mercenaries against Hyrulean rule. With the aid of the guild and the guild's grand master, Zachra Obene, Adrik rose in both infamy and experience as he accepted and accomplished all quests and tasks given to him.

Yet each quest and task he'd chosen and added to his list of accomplishments were small in comparison to what the guild was known for: its involvement in the black markets and the whispered Hyrulean undergrounds. However, after his first love, a Zora he'd met during a drug trade, died by Hyrulean law, Adrik's usual quests and tasks changed. He grew angrier, colder, and deemed her death as innocent as she'd been trying to leave the dark underworld that Adrik had been born into.

The streets were flooded with jurors, their eyes riddled with lust and mirth as they sang off-key, "Off with her head!" Their words were riveting, enticing, and it made his blood run cold. Made his skin burn, as if he'd warred against the Gerudo sands in a naked, dehydrated state. He had to gulp audibly, pinch his arm, as he waited off to the side of the crowd, hidden underneath the shadows of an overhanging roof. He'd come to be sure, come to verify that the Intel he'd received was a lie. Surely, surely their informant had gotten it wrong... surely they'd- All thought, all sense, was pulled from him then as the sea of people cheered, the main actor having finally taken up stage left at the center of town.

R-Ruth!

Iridescent blues, shimmering greens and reds were dulled with dried blood, with black and blue bruises and angered scars. Her hands were tied in front of her as she staggered up the wooden steps two at a time, the soldiers propelling her harshly to her fate. He'd known her for three years, and in those three years he'd never seen her cry. Farore, he'd never seen her as scared as she looked now, golden eyes wide as she tried to plant webbed feet firmly before her. The attempt to resist was short-lived as the Hylian soldiers pushed her forward, making her trip and fall on bruised knees in front of the guillotine.

"I can't do this anymore, Adi... this thievery, this murder and wickedness."

A soldier gripped the back of her neck, pushed her forward onto the bascule, and the damned people of Hyrule cheered even louder. Their noise drowned him, anchored him.

"Adi... I-"

NothingFancy NothingFancy here's your character a friend, one I briefly mentioned XD

It is in my blood to protect,
To persevere,
And to obey.
If I cannot answer the calling,
The burn in my veins to protect,
Then I might as well jump off the highest mountain.

[ Alias ]
Lera

[ Age ]
29

[ Relationships ]
Mipha Hryule ↔ Bodyguard
Impa ↔ Mentor

[ Hometown ]
Outskirts of Rito Village

[ Species ]
Hylian

[ Alignment ]
Neutral

[ Occupation ]
Sheikah
Royal Guard to Princess Mipha

[ Political View ]
Pro-Hyrule

[ Appearance ]
Lera is a limber, 5'4" Hylian with the predatory walk of a Sheikah. Blessed with sunny hair and peridot eyes, Lera is a spitting image of her mother, a deceased guard of the Queen's. She always looks distant thanks to her pouting lips and small, squinting eyes. Her build is quite small, muscles more defined and jawline and hollows of her bones more detailed. Yet despite her graceful appearance, her hands are roughed with callouses, and her milky skin is colored and marred with scars from past battles and training.

She has a red tattoo on her forehead bearing three intricate diamonds, and is often seen wearing an obsidian bangle on her right arm that is rumored to ward off evil. The necklace found at her throat that carries a crystal that mimics a fairy in a bottle is said to have been a gift from her father.

[ Personality ]
Devotion, loyalty, and perseverance should be Lera's middle names. She's quite attuned with her surroundings and is headstrong in carrying out her duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner. If there is even an ounce of failure or mistake, she is the first to beat herself over it and ridicule herself. There is not a day that goes by where she doesn't train or work one of her skills in some way to improve. She is the epitome of a hard worker. However, this makes her rather robotic and straightforward, every manner of thinking realistic and calculating. She's one to stop and think, and is not afraid to admit defeat... although it may take her some time to do so.

Despite her hardworking characteristics and hardheadedness, Lera often lets her emotion and heart get the best of her. It is likely due to her desire to be the best that she possible can, the pressure of such a drive often earning her stress and anxiety. Stress... that's something she's good at receiving.

[ Biography ]
Lera was placed as Princess Mipha's bodyguard since the princess was born. She knows Mipha the best, and has difficulty keeping a straight face in front of those who talk ill of the princess and the Royal Family alike. Her father, a true Sheikah who she rarely interacts with, was appointed as a guard to the Queen while her mother died during an altercation with the Hero. She's lived in the castle as long as she can remember, and her studies have led her into the life of a Sheikah.

The ground is the last place she wants to be right now, the cold earth scraping at her back, but it's welcoming, if only for a moment. It reminds her where she is, grounds her, and forces her thoughts to dismantle and break down into one simple word: overcome. Lera picks herself up, white nails digging into the dirt as she rises like a tidal wave and lunges. An intricate blade etched with flaming wolves glistens sharply, reflects her bloodied lips and taught jaw. It cries in a flurry of sparks, the silver blade clashing with a spearhead, and the blow pushes her backward, wrapped sandals slipping as if she's standing in mud.

Exasperation pours down her brow, and she juggles the blade to her other hand before she moves to strike again. Yet again she's met with the spearhead. It's the only thing keeping her from her goal as it slide along her rapier's face, slants and whips in the air, and slaps her side. Its sharp edges pierce her side, force her back again, and she vocally screams. It's not from pain, it's not from desperation, but from the fact that she hasn't moved forward.

"Come now, Sokk, don't let your emotions get the best of you." Her mentor speaks monotonously yet their curl of their lip, a ghost of a smile, denies them such apathy. "Now again, come at me with all your might."

FULL NAME: Tiehun (no last name).

ALIAS: The Wise, The Sharp.

AGE: 24.

GENDER: Male.

HOMETOWN: The Temple of the Disciples, atop Death Mountain.

SPECIES: Hylian.

ALIGNMENT: Triforce.

OCCUPATION: Disciple. At the moment, he acts as the Hylian court's adviser but he also acts as a mentor to the Princess. As soon as a new Hero is discovered, he'll drop everything to assist them. Such is his purpose in life.

POLITICAL VIEW: When they can help it, Disciples try to avoid politics. Since they only exist for the sole purpose of helping protect the world from evil, they yearn for world peace so that all may be able to fight under one banner.

RELATIONSHIPS: While not technically banned from love, Disciples try to be as clear minded as possible. Still, while they wish they were like Fi as in calculating and logical, they are still living beings. They cannot help it if they fall in love. Just in case, Tiehun is heterosexual.

PERSONALITY: Tiehun is a very logical, very wise person. He values everyone else above himself, and aims to assist in any way possible to find a new Hero to help defeat evil. He is stoic, calculating and some may say cold, but in truth he sees every person as the same regardless of race or gender. He is more than willing, almost too willing, to sacrifice himself for the greater good, and has virtually no interest in the concept of self preservation. It is his job to teach, not to live. Despite his incredible talent and intelligence, however, he cannot be the Hero - his teachings forbid it. He is the teacher, the adviser, the companion but never the Hero. Although, most will admit, it would make life a lot easier if he, or any of the Disciples, was.

BIOGRAPHY: Tiehun grew up in the walls of the Temple, as do most Disciples these days, and he has never known how to rest and relax. When he learnt how to read, he was immediately put into reading entire libraries of knowledge. From when he was able to pick up a sword, he had been taught swordplay from sunrise until sunset. This happened daily, and over time he became a true Disciple. Most will see it as harsh, even torture, but the Disciples see it as a necessary evil. What is one Disciple life compared against hundreds, if not thousands, more? Besides, Tiehun somewhat enjoyed it. He liked the stories about how the Disciples learned of Fi, the Spirit of the Sword, and how the Disciples were using Fi's knowledge and talents to try and replicate the Master Sword. They are certainly making headway, but without the influence of the Goddess there's not much else they can do.

Until then, Tiehun was assigned to Hyrule Castle to assist the Princess, now acting Queen, in ensuring that the lands don't turn to war and bloodshed. It is not politics, the Disciples say, that they need now. The world needs a Hero. As such, Tiehun (as well as all Disciples) has a secret job - find the new Hero and train them to be as great, if not greater, than Link.

So, he left the safety of the Temple towards Hyrule Castle. While he still needed his passport and a mandatory health examination (which he passed with zero trouble), the Disciples are so well respected that the border guards did not ask for the fee. Tiehun had much more important issues to worry about than pitiful border guards restricting everyone's travel. He arrived at the Castle with no real issue - guards left him be, civilians moved aside for him. He knelt to the court, announcing his presence, and immediately set to work.

TALENTS: While he is trained in a variety of weapon and item usage, such as archery, hammer, slingshot etcetera, he is virtually unmatched in the art of swordplay. He is incredibly agile and strong, not to mention wise and intelligent, and can usually beat most enemies with ease. He is also surprisingly good at dancing and singing and blacksmithing. He has the ability to read and speak Ancient Hylian, and possesses knowledge of the long gone past and the distant future that no mortal should know. He knows things that most believe to be lost in time. For example, while most assume the Master Sword, like the Triforce, has always existed, Tiehun knows that Fi forged the Goddess Sword in the Three Sacred Flames to create the Master Sword.

EQUIPMENT/BELONGINGS: The first thing anyone would notice is the great scroll on Tiehun's back. Not all Disciples are requested to carry it, but due to his important position in the court he deemed it imperative that he carries his libraries with him at all times. It took him three months to write it all out, and it contains all the important information, in note form, within its pages. From ancient Hylian rituals to future visions, everything is contained in the hefty roll of parchment. It is as heavy as you imagine it to be, yet Tiehun seems to have no issue carrying it. He also has no issue being able to discern information from it, either. It also contains secret information, revealed only when right next to fire. Even then, the wording revealed is in Ancient Hylian, and not many can read that. With a quick incantation, these words can be revealed onto a nearby surface such as a wall or table.

His second most notable thing he carries is his sword. While it looks like it is little more than a guard's blade with a few runes on it, it has been forged and enchanted by Tiehun in the Three Sacred Flames - or, rather, close copies created by other members of the Disciples - using the Three Pure Metals. Not only does this render the blade virtually indestructible, second only to the Master Sword, it can use sacred fire attacks. It can produce red fire from it, wreathing it completely in flame, which burns those it hits and purifies undead, create a fiery shield of blue fire in front of Tiehun that blocks attacks and burns those who get too close or create a wave of green fire that continues forward until it hits something.

Other than that, he carries his passport, very little money and the occasional piece of bread. He also owns a regular stick with blue runes covering one end.

ABILITIES: He has trained in the way of the Three Sacred Flames, and is able to use their various powers in a variety of ways. For a start, fire cannot harm him (nor can lava) and he can cast various spells and incantations. Firstly, he can cast a red fireball or create red fiery pillars from the ground where he sees fit. He can also use blue flame to communicate to other members of the Disciples with ease, and also use this blue fire to create runes on items over time. These runes, when activated, creates a bright blue fire from them yet does not damage the object it is cast upon. He can cast green flames on himself or his allies, buffing them, making them immune to fear and curses or heal them (although, it can only heal serious wounds to a point where they won't be fatal). He can create different coloured runes, and also project those runes onto nearby surfaces. He can use this to also project maps, words and even drawings.

STRENGTHS: Tiehun is incredibly strong willed and tactical. The efficiency of his group are known across the land, and he is no different. He vast combat skills, and his incredible wisdom, make him valuable as any mentor...

WEAKNESSES: ...however, he has no experience in anything else. A bow may be amazing at dispatching foes from distance, but it is no match in close quarters for a sword. He has no real experience with matters of the social kind, and his skills are limited to what he has been taught.

PREFERENCES: To be honest, not many. All he asks for is that people he advises to listen to him, and that people who wish to learn from him be good students. He doesn't have a favourite food, a favourite colour...he's not bothered by such things.

SAMPLE: The sun was beginning to rise over the land of Hyrule, as the early workers began the hustle and bustle. Servants ran to and fro, making sure that all the linens were clean ready to be changed, all the meals were cooked and that everything had been cleaned to perfection. Everywhere was busy in the Castle - except for the courtyard. The servants and other staff knew that at this time, the courtyard was off limits. Whether they agreed with it or not, the servants complied.

For this morning, the valued adviser was meditating. Hailing from the Temple of the Disciples, the tall, bald man sat crossed legged surrounded by candles and various incenses in complete silence - his head was down, and his lips seemed to move yet no words were escaping them. Around him were three circles of words that no-one could read - one red, one blue and the final green. Of course, those who had even a scrap of religious knowledge would know those colours probably represented the Three Spirits - Din, Nayru and Farore - but why Tiehun had drawn them was beyond anyone.

Then, all of a sudden, he stood up. The fires of the runes dimmed into nothing at all and the candles extinguished as if a ghost had blew them all out. After all, the sun was now wholly above the horizon, and it was time for him to get to work. He was an adviser to these people, after all - and that's what he needed to do. That's what he was born to do.

(sorry it's a little short, but i wanted to get this out ASAP)

The Fabulous Emerald The Fabulous Emerald You guessed correctly :D Since the princess and her personal guard are the key to start off the RP, we will have to wait till NothingFancy NothingFancy is able to reply with her finished CS. It's her first time workin' on a CS for a Roleplay, she's perfecting it a bit now. You're quite all right!

I know it's a WIP, but wanted to touch base with a few things!

Halu is a healer. Generally you don't see people with the career out fighting so it would be obvious that she wouldn't have any skill in all combat. To top it off thanks to her zora skin she reacts poorly to incredibly harsh sunlight and if out there for too long will begin to flake off skin and get a harsh sunburn.

Think a bit more on this before you finish it completely. Healers don't all need to be considered helpless or defenseless. Does she not carry a knife or some other form of defensive weaponry with her? Additionally, her inability to be empathize with woe... how dire is this? If it is to the point of apathy then I would suggest to also reference this in her weakness :)

[ Occupation] Healer

Where is she stationed? Not sure if you're going to mention this while you update the CS or not, but don't forget to add that :3

Muahaahhaha! Behold, my go-to LoZ character! Some people here may recognize him.

[ Full Name ]
Ikoto Tau

[ Alias ]
Iko

[ Age ]
53, or on the cusp of 18 in Hylian years.

[ Gender ]
Male

[ Hometown ]
Zora's Domain

[ Species ]
Zora

[ Alignment ]
Neutral party

[ Occupation ]
Healer, chef

[ Political View ]
Ikoto is an advocate for peace and unity, a view which is slightly frowned upon in such a trying era. He detests the rampant racism and prejudice in Hyrule, and seeks to ultimately dismantle this civil unrest any way he can.

[ Relationship(s) ] WIP?
Omora - secret Zora friend from across time and space

@-----@-----@-----@-----@-----@-----@-----@

[ Appearance ]
Iko is a shocking -- even for the colorful Zoras -- yellow from head to toe. His underbelly is a more pale color, while his back is more pronounced. His head, back, arms, and legs are freckled with a darker yellow color. He is dressed modestly by Zora standards, however the same can't be said by Hylian standards. With him is an enchanted bronze helmet - it will never rust - and a serrated iron spear with similar properties. To travel to different kingdoms, Ikoto carries with him a passport and a few different currencies to cover the small travel fee. He also makes sure to stay healthy for the health examination.
iala___original_zora_contest_by_pettyartist.jpg

[ Personality ]
Timid and shy, Iko stayed to the back of the crowd whenever anything exciting happened. However, beneath the introverted shell is an aspiring chef. Generally remarked as a bubbly guy underneath crushing shyness, Iko can often be found cracking jokes in the face of peril. Although, that's not without its drawbacks: Iko jokes to mask his tragically low self-esteem. As such, he is not very adept in social situations, and most social interactions will drain his mental energy, which manifests itself a few hours after these interactions.
TL; DR: shy, reserved, jokes at own expense, masks insecurities.

[ Biography ]
Ikoto was raised in an era of unrest. The Hero has disappeared, a terrible disease has unearthed itself, and the gods have gone silent. While he never truly believed in the gods (as the only evidence can be found in history books), he does not ever speak his concerns over their existence. Anyways. He grew up in a small outcrop tucked beneath Inner Zora's Domain. He had rarely seen the "outside world" and only heard stories of the tragedies outside.
"That would never happen to us!" little Iko thought. And, boy, was he wrong.
Around when he hit 32 (equivalent to a Hylian 13-year-old), Zora's Domain was struck with the plague. First, nothing more than a small bruise. Then it grew and encompassed the victim, until they died a premature death, infecting dozens along the way. This terrified little Iko, and Zora's Domain as a whole. He put his cooking aspirations aside and decided to pursue more diplomatic work, to "try to set things straight."
Having lived deep in Zora territory, there was no need for any kind of passport until now. At 46 (equivalent to 16 years old), he registered for a passport. Nothing else important happens here.
At 52 (close to 18 years old), Ikoto left Zora's Domain to find more information on the disease, Acili, and whatever happened to the Hero.

[ Talent(s) ]
Relatively talented chef with an expansive repertoire.
"Pretty smart for a Zora" if you can get him to open up.

[ Abilities ]
Decreased aging; longer lifespan.
Breathing under water.
Enhanced swimming ability.

[ Weaknesses ]
Very susceptible to heat and electricity.
Relatively susceptible to cold and arid environments.
He has a bit of a stutter to his speech.

[ Strengths ]
Sharp-witted, quick to respond
Reasonably well-read
Comfortable with mathematics
(When he's not hiding in a shell of shyness)

[ Preferences ] (+likes and -dislikes)
+The ocean
+Quiet
+Secluded space
+The soft glow of a campfire
+Many kinds of food
+History

-The desert
-Loud, crowded gatherings
-Open space, to a point
-The harsh heat of a campfire
-When people don't appreciate food
-folklore, "It's just not real history!"

[ Quote ]
"You can't be serious."
"W-what do you mean by that?"
"I'm sorry, sir, but I cannot allow that."
"No way, it's still here? How old is that thing?"

[ Writing Sample of Character ]
Iko gasped as he looked around. Castle Town was just so big! The sights, the smells, the sounds, they were so foreign and fascinating! Who knew you could stuff so many people into one place? People. People looking at him. He exhaled sharply.
He lowered his head and followed the flow of traffic to the edge of the buildings. I hope I don't have to spend too long here. But where do we even begin? While Iko continued following the flow of traffic, he was too busy to be actually paying his surroundings any attention. He could tell because he slammed directly into the most peculiar of characters.
"S-sorry, sir," he spoke quickly, "can I help you?"

Full Name Urooa Teva

Alias Urooa

Age 19

Gender Female

Hometown Gerudo Village

Species Gerudo

Alignment Neutral

Occupation While Urooa is one of the few skilled healers among the Gerudo, all Gerudo are warriors first.

Political View Urooa wants what's best for her struggling people. Fearing the darkness consuming the sands she calls home, she is visiting Hyrule to request aid curing the Acili--a task fitting for one with so little pride left. Normally she would resent the Hylians for their greedy claims to all the fertile land, their plentiful and docile game, and their unearned favor of the goddesses, but she's not so stubborn as to not know when her people desperately need help. If the Hylians cannot help then Urooa is not to return home, unless she can find on her own some other remedy and bring it back, under penalty of death.

Relationship(s)
~ Naruvi Teva - (45) Mother and Gerudo Matriarch (Alive)
~ ??? - (??) Father (????)
~ Ruva Teva - (21) Older Sister (Alive)
~ Maleek Teva - (16) Younger Sister (Alive)

Appearance
Urooa_1.jpg

Personality Urooa is what you might call a compassionate Gerudo. Where your typical Gerudo warrior would shoot first...full stop, Urooa would at least ask some questions later like whether the person deserved to die or not. In actuality Urooa really does have a softer side and cares about protecting others, especially her people and home, even if she hardly shows how she's feeling. While to those unfamiliar with the nuances of Gerudo culture might think her comparatively harsh and unforgiving, within the confines of the tribe she is seen as emotionally weak. Sandwiched between the prosperous and self-righteous Kingdom of Hyrule and a blistering and unforgiving desert, tolerance of those that are not strong and decisive is sparse. Urooa is known for being one of the few to question her mother's decisions, but this often comes across as Urooa being too indecisive to simply follow the commands of the strongest of them all. Though many individuals admire Urooa's gift and dedication to healing the injured and sick, most Gerudo still regard healers as those that aren't skilled enough to fight themselves or as those trying to remove the consequences of people too weak to not have gotten hurt in the first place. As one might expect, many express their low expectations of Urooa causing her to often sees herself as a failure. Sure, she's certainly not as pathetic as any Hylian or Zora, but a true Gerudo can only sink so far. Even though it's difficult to read Urooa's softer emotions, she is by no means an exception to having the notorious Gerudo temper. The slightest of misunderstandings can be grounds for war, and this is an easy trap to activate when cultural differences are in play. Fair warning, she doesn't know what a hug is. She's more likely to think you're trying to restrain her so someone can stab her in the back.

Biography Only a week ago, Urooa was found to have a black bruise on her left forearm. Being a daughter of the matriarch, Naruvi, afforded her no protection. Like everyone found infected with the Acili, there was only two options--death or exile. A harsh rule, but, being small in population compared to many of the other races of Hyrule, letting an uncontrolled disease take hold could mean the end for their entire tribe. In Urooa's case, she was not given the option of an honorable mercy death. Instead, Naruvi, who couldn't bear to see one of her daughters executed, denied Urooa the choice and banished her from their village. Exile for others was always permanent, but in an uncharacteristic act of love, Naruvi gave Urooa a path to redemption. If Urooa could cleanse herself of the sickness infecting her and bring the secret to its cure back with her she would be allowed to reclaim her life among her people.

After gathering her weapons and belongings, she left heading to the only place she could think might have already found a cure--Hyrule Kingdom. The Hylians would be sure to have the best healers in the land on retinue for their precious queen and princess, and the Hero was there too. Legends spoke of the Hero and Hylian royalty wielding light capable of banishing the blackest of shadows. Perhaps the legends had some truth to them and they could help rid the Gerudo's desert of the evil that's awakened there and what she supposes is the source of the Acili plague.

Talent(s)
~ Nayru's Touch - Urooa was born with the ability to purify small volumes of water by touching it, bestowing unnatural healing qualities to it. People that drink the water heal injuries and illnesses quicker than normal, but only a few magnitudes faster. This means that a broken bone that could take weeks to heal might only take one week to heal. Alternatively, Urooa can wash the wounds directly with purified water, localizing the healing to just the wound instead of the whole body, allowing her to stabilize more severe wounds or heal smaller ones more quickly.

Abilities
~ Weapon's Master - Urooa's upbringing meant learning to fight for her own survival and the survival of the tribe, and just as the desert sands shift beneath one's feet so too should a warrior's form be loose like fluid. All Gerudo are expected to be capable fighters regardless of the tool or terrain. While Urooa is only an average fighter within her tribe, she is equally familiar with most common weapons including bows, swords, shields, spears, knives, harpoons, etc..

~ Mounted Combat - Death can come quickly in the desert to those caught unprepared. While the Gerudo may not have many horses, due to a lack of grazing lands, the mobile creatures are invaluable to those attempting to traverse the vast and perilous dunes. They're also perfect, if not necessary, companions for hunting some of the desert's most dangerous beasts. Urooa learned, like many of her sisters, how to ride, tend for, and fight from the back of a horse. Unlike many others, though, Urooa has her own personal horse she's bonded with, named Rakal; clearly a perk of being from the Gerudo royal line.

Weaknesses
~ Urooa may know how to get out of sand traps, but sadly this doesn't translate into knowing how to swim in actual water.
~ The Gerudo pass most information down orally meaning Urooa is mostly illiterate.
~ Urooa is infected with early stage Acili on her left forearm. Currently it's nothing more than a small bruise and she's not really having any symptoms, but the stigma of being infected requires her to always hide her condition and be conscious of not spreading it to anyone else.
~ Expectantly, Urooa can be overly prideful. Those milk drinking Hylians wouldn't last a day in the life of a Gerudo.
~ While some Gerudo take to the bandit and thieving life naturally, Urooa, like her mother, likes to take things head on. Sneak attacks are for those that don't think they're capable of winning a fight fairly.
~ Having spent her entire life in the scorching desert, it's only common sense that Urooa is terrible at handling the cold.

Strengths
~ Urooa is an average Gerudo warrior, which is to say, she's a better fighter than any Hylian guard. Their small numbers and spartan culture result in each Gerudo necessarily being worth more than a single fighter of any other race.
~ Due to the barren lands the Gerudo live on, Urooa is well practiced in the art of hunting elusive prey. It can take weeks tracking and surviving the constant hazards of the desert to finally take down a burrowing Lanmola, but the reward can be an entire month's worth of food for the tribe.
~ The brutal Gerudo life of survival of the fittest has given Urooa the experience and intimate knowledge of injuries, mild and severe, and the best ways to treat them. It take more than an arm bent the wrong way or an artery bleeding to make her squeamish.
~ Limited to a narrow selection of edible ingredients in the desert, Urooa has learned how to take some of the foulest foods and cook them to be not just tolerable, but pleasing to the palette.

Preferences
+ Golden sunsets on the sand
+ Chilled cow milk (secretly)
+ Riding Rakal
+ Dueling
+ Dry weather

- Cold weather
- Condescending people
- Hylians
- Failing a task
- Seeing others get hurt

Quote "Don't fear. If it kills us it'll be quick and painless."

Writing Sample of Character
A cool breeze swept through Urooa's long scarlet hair atop her horse, blowing it wildly like a war-banner painted in the blood of her foes. The untamed red lockes flashed in the eyes of two Hylian soldiers drawing their attention. It was still early in the morning, before the sun had crested the horizon, and near the end of the night shift for the guards' border-gate watch duty. Travelers from the south was rare, though. The soldiers adjusted themselves straightening up to look more alert and generally more enthusiastic about their duty. As Urooa got closer the soldiers could see clearly now that it was indeed a Gerudo, and she was armed to the teeth. Weapons of all manner hung from the sides of her horse and were strapped to her back. It wasn't a particularly uncharacteristic sight for a Gerudo, but that didn't make it any less unnerving for the guards considering their jobs were to protect the gate. About the only consolation to their fears of a Gerudo raid was that the rider wasn't rushing towards them already firing arrows. Still, their grips tightened around the shafts of their steel spears, just in case.

As the woman approached even closer, one of the guards called out. "Ho there. What be your purpose?"

She stayed quiet until she was close enough to speak without shouting, and then responded with only a single word. "Diplomatic." She then brought her horse to a full stop between the guards posted in front of the gate's thick iron bars.

The guard that had been silent was trying to hold back a chuckle, but his partner shushed him quickly. "Diplomacy? I never got letter saying we should expect you. You sure that's why you're here?" the guard obviously in charge questioned. At that the other completely broke bearing and started freely laughing.

Urooa locked eyes with the laughing guard glaring intensely at him. "What is so funny?!" Urooa snapped.

"Shut yer trap, will ya." scolded the first guard at his partner. He then shifted his focus back to the Gerudo woman. "You'll have to excuse him. You see, usually your peoples' diplomacy involves a lot of pointy sharp object being thrown our way. Don't think we've had many of you ever come by simply to talk, besides to talk men out of their coin and women out of their husbands. You'll have to forgive me if I don't believe ya, but yeah, I don't believe ya one bit. So let's start again. Who are ya and why are you here?"

Urooa was becoming quite irritated with the situation. She tried ignoring the one still laughing, and looked down from high atop her horse at the other. "I am Urooa Teva, daughter of Matriarch Naruvi Teva." she exclaimed with frustration in her tone. "...and I demand to speak with your queen!"

"Yeah yeah, nice to meet ya your highness. I'm prince Bosh, heir to the throne and hero of sandwiches. Just show me your passport." demanded the guard while mocking Urooa holding his palm out to receive her papers. Urooa gritted her teeth and her nose flared. She dismounted her horse, Rakal, in a violent motion, the weight of her gear making several chinking noises when she hit the ground, forcing the guard holding his hand out to stumble back in order to avoid her colliding with him. She shoved her hand deep into a satchel tied to Rakal's saddle withdrawing a leather-bound booklet that looked to have rarely ever been used or handled. As the guard tried regaining his footing, Urooa thrust the booklet into his chest, causing him to fall on his rear and dropping his spear. The other guard snapped out of his laughter and ran to the other side of the horse, where Urooa was, gripping his spear by both hands and pointing it towards her threateningly. Urooa stood there unflinching. Her posture and facial expression exuded an aura of intimidation. The guard could tell instinctively. If he were to attack her she would kill him. Her nerves had been pushed just short of their breaking point.

The guard named Bosh rose back to his feet in a fit of anger. "You long-nosed bitch! That's it. I'm arresting you, miss..." He paused and opened the leather booklet to see what name he would have to write down on the arrest forms. The more he investigated the passport the paler his complexion got. His expression washed from angry into fear the longer he checked it for authenticity. When he could not longer suspect forgery he looked back at Urooa meekly. "I-I'm...forgive me Princess Urooa. You understand. It's my job to suspect everyone." Bosh waved aggressively at his partner to lower his weapon. "Obviously, we wouldn't stop someone as important as yourself from entering on official business." he said as sincerely as he could while forcing a confident smile.

"No, you wouldn't stop me. You couldn't stop me." Urooa threatened him with her rage still visibly smoldering inside her narrow eyes. She snatched her passport out of his hands, stowed it, threw herself back on top of Rakal, and prepared to head out.

Bosh, having just stood there stunned for a bit, reached out to her to signal her to wait. "Ah, wait. B-before I can let you by I'll need to collect your toll fee and screen you for any diseases." Urooa glared down at him, clearly having reached a new level of annoyance. He withdrew a bit and put his hands up defensively. "Pl-please miss. I-I'm just d-doing my job. This new plague has been going around and I can't let anyone infected with it enter and spread it further. You understand, right?" Bosh pleaded.

Urooa drew one of her scimitars and leveled it at his neck. She knew in the back of her mind that if they were to inspect her she would be found out, but in the moment her anger was boiling over and she couldn't care less about anything other than silencing these guards and being granted entry. "How dare you! Not only do you deny me entry, doubt my words, insult me, and threaten to attack me but now you must also extort money from me and strip me naked. After I get through this gate, one way or another, I will be sure to tell your queen of your offenses to me and my people. Now open this gate!"

Bosh recoiled, aware of how bad his actions would sound when the royal court heard of them from the offended woman. "No no, there's no need for that. Forgive me again. This is just a bad misunderstanding." He then called up to the wall for them to open the gate, and it began to rise. Urooa kicked Rakal's sides and the two bolted under the partially lifted iron gate, Urooa still fuming.

Bosh picked his spear up as his partner approached him. "You didn't tell her about the Queen. She's going to find out."

Bosh sneered at his partner. "Were you going to tell her? Yeah, I didn't think so. It's not my problem anymore. Goddesses, you sure picked a hella time to become antisocial."

The Fabulous Emerald The Fabulous Emerald

I apologize WolfSol WolfSol for the delay. Here is the Princess. Please let me know if any changes need to be made, as I am new to this ;)

Name: Mipha Urbosa Hyrule

Alias: Princess Mipha, MiMi (by friends)

Age: 17

Kin: Zelda Hyrule (Mother), Link (Father)

Personality: Mipha has always been bright and optimistic as a child. Hardly anything could bring her down. Even though she never had the presence of a father, nor a very attentive mother, she has her bodyguard Lera. Lera was her friend and like a second mother. Like Lera, after she had to become the acting leader, she discovered that she can become depressed and anxious quite easily. However, she hides this very well, nobody knows yet just how terrible her panic/anxiety attacks are, and the more they happen the more her mood deteriorates. It also doesn’t help that she is a very head strong person, and doesn’t move very easily on any matter that she sets her mind to. It’s hard to change her opinion on anything, even if she were to say the sky were purple she would say it were so even if proven wrong. She has been raised in the manner of a Princess, so she is very prim and proper. However, when she becomes comfortable with someone, they will soon see her childish side. She gets annoyed easily, and her temper (although restrained) is fiery and burns long. She tries her best to keep things from falling apart, which contradicts with her perfectionism, as she will quickly become frustrated if things aren't what she deems 'perfect.'

Biography: When she was 5 years old, Link began to show signs of madness. Zelda attempted to heal him, this included trips to the springs, fairies and even to Impa and her sister to see if they could do anything with their wisdom of technology and spirits. They even attempted to use the Shrine of resurrection, yet within a year it was hopeless. Link had completely fallen into his insanity, and disappeared. She grew up with a Mother who was always depressed and hardly gave her any attention, and she didn't know why. Her bodyguard Lera, became her mother, friend and confidant. She is very dependent on Lera and if anything were to happen to her, Mipha might lose her mind.

Mipha doesn't remember Link much, and never talked with her mother about him, because Zelda would instantly retreat within herself. The weight of the throne and absence of her lover, left Zelda to fall to weakness and illness. However, despite her mother, Mipha grew up with brightness and smiles. This changed a few months before her 17th birthday, when her mother finally succumbed to her illness and was bedridden. She had to take temporary control of the throne, and the stress and responsibility beat the happiness out of her, until she became a bit bitter and guarded.

Talent(s): Traditional Hylian and Gerudo Dancing, sewing, lying

Abilities: Master Archer, Apprentice Swordswomen (started learning once things took a bad turn in Hyrule), can speak multiple languages

Experience: Nothing outside the walls of Hyrule Castle

Alignment: With the Triforce

Interests: She is interested in the monsters around Hyrule and how they live and work. She would never admit this, however. She is interested in who her father is. She wants to find him, but she believes him to be dead, because she can’t accept that fact that he would abandon her and Zelda. She also wants to find a cure for her mother, and find the Hero, so that Hyrule can be made peaceful and her job can be less heavy.

Fears: She fears that she will become like her parents. She is afraid of heights, she only doesn't mind it when she is in a building. She is also afraid of being left completely alone

Strengths: Bravery, courage, leading, language, archery

Weaknesses: Cooking, anxiety, heights, social events, taking things too literally, stubbornness, perfectionist, disliking when someone says she’s wrong… even if they're right

Likes: The study of monsters, Durian, fairies, Lera, hot tea, wind, nature, the ocean

Dislikes: Headstrong people (like herself), disorder, heights, sitting for too long, her own inexperience and ability to help her people

Appearance: Stepping into the throne room, the small Hylian farmer looked up to gaze at the youth sitting in the golden chair. She was tall for a young Hylian, most likely approaching six feet, her legs folded neatly to the side to rest comfortably on the low set throne. She was wearing a sky-blue silk dress, that folded and melded to her thin frame. Her skin was pale from lack of sun, but it complimented the silver etchings which shimmered in the mid-day rays filtering through the tall windows.

When he had stepped a bit closer, her face came into focus. Her cheekbones were high, but still had the chub of a child. Her eyes matched the silk dress, and her hair cascaded around her shoulders in a honey brunette hue. Her chin was resting on delicate fingers, and her blossom shaped lips parted with a sigh.

“And how can Hyrule help you today?”

Simplified: Honey brunette hair, sky blue eyes (Like her father), 5'11'', thin, pale

Quote:

'Unfortunately, that is not the case.'
'How dare you speak in such a manner!'
'This place is a prison and I am the only inmate.'
'Don't leave me alone.'
'Please, call me Mimi.'

Mipha sighed, the paper she held in her hand flapped in the small breeze she created, and the writing looked even more jumbled then before. She could feel her head throbbing in pain, and she shut her eyes as tight as she could in an attempt the calm her mind. She had already been pouring over documents for five hours. Page after page of Health examination reports of people entering the castle village, pictures containing traveler passports of unsavory citizens, and new bills waiting to be passed for higher travelling fees, and laws regarding the spreading of disease. Although she could read and write in several languages, she could no longer decipher what was in front of her. It all swirled together in a sickening waltz, until her eyes spun.

She opened her eyes, and looked to the left where the large window of her mother’s study looked out into the castle courtyard and the growing city right outside their doors. Looking at the small village, just caused the sick feeling in her stomach to worsen. It had taken close to 20 years for even that small amount of buildings to grow after Calamity Ganon. She hated that after all the hard work the country had put into building Hyrule up again, it was being destroyed. She received reports after reports of an unknown disease that spread like wildfire through the countryside, monsters getting bolder and bolder in their attacks, and the cry for a hero to fix everything.

She could feel the breath in her throat hitching, and her face grew hot and red. Black dots and white stars entered her vision and an overwhelming feeling of panic clasped it’s claws around her heart. She jerked into a standing position, her head feeling as though it would fall to the ground. Quickly she dashed out from the study, ignoring the sound of concern from Lera, who had been standing dutifully outside the study. Flying down stairs, she hurried to the river bed which flowed underneath the castle. Crouching onto the ground she promptly vomited into lazy moving water. She sat there gasping for air, until finally the coolness of the breeze which blew from the water, succeeded in giving her some peace.

She could feel the presence of her bodyguard watching her from a distance, and she wondered just how much she had seen. However, she closed her eyes and turned her face to the sky. The warm sun was fighting with the coolness of the moat, and she placed herself in this moment. Feeling the hairs on her arms sway, and the small snaps of silk as her dress danced, she could feel herself becoming one with the wind. If she could she would choose to melt into it. That freedom and release of emotion, just the sheer power of nature, blowing across land and sea, feeling the touch of grass and earth, slicing through canyons and wrapping around trees. Anything other than the prison she lived in.

“Princess, it almost time for court.”

Her sky blue eyes which matched her father’s (or so she was told) snapped open, and a sigh once again escaped her pink lips. Standing, she brushed herself off and ran her fingers through her hair. She turned with a smile and nodded, “Yes, I suppose I shouldn’t keep the good people of Hyrule waiting. But please, when it is just us, call me by my name, Lera. Even if I am acting Queen, you are still my dearest of friends.”

Lera looked at her a moment, peridot eyes softening just slightly, and her golden hair sparking in the midday sun.

“As you wish Mimi.”

Mipha felt her throat tighten slightly, her childhood nickname wrapping around her like a security blanket. However, she simply nodded in acknowledgement, and hiked up her skirts to begin the trek back up to the castle. It was going to ba a long day.

Sorry guys, made a few edits to my CS, mostly in the personality section. Also I will be uploading a picture of her later. Still in the process of drawing it :)

Name: Aster Riplin

Alias: Sir Aster (Knight/Soldier)

Age: 21

Kin: Parents Unknown, Raised by Kokiri until they were massacred, trained in Castle City

Relationships: Love interest of Mipha

Species: Hylian

Occupation: Soldier/Knight

Political View: Is patriotic to Hyrule, however believes that the Queen and hero are the reason for all issues, since they have done nothing to protect or fix Hyrule. However, he is loyal and will follow any orders given.

Personality: Aster has always been someone who struggles with his dark urges. His adopted family the Kokiri, had been able to help him deal with it, and for a while he was able to grow up rather neutrally. He trains hard everyday to prevent the whispers in his mind from taking control. He has a gentle spirit, however when provoked, he is a force to be reckoned with. His will is unmatched by any other, it is a will earned through hard work and pain. Repressing his dark side has resulted in an almost split personality. Half of him wishes to do ‘good’ and the other ‘bad.’ But in Hyrule’s time of need… is there really such a thing as good and evil?

Biography: Given to the lost forest by poor parents, he was taken to the Deku Tree by some Kokiris who had been passing by the entrance and saw him. The Deku Tree could sense the potential for evil within the small babe, but did not want to leave a child out to the elements to die. The Kokiris being creatures of light, were able to raise him rather well, and helped him keep the urges at bay. However, after the village was massacred and only the Great Deku Tree remained, he began to feel those urges once again. The Deku Tree urged him to go into the Castle and train, in hopes that the rigorous training would quiet the voices. He set off to the Castle, along the way he was pickpocketed, and in a fit of rage he tracked down the man and killed him. All at the young age of 11. Fearing himself, he hurried off to the castle.

He became a stable boy, but quickly went up the ranks due to his natural ability and hard training. He has managed to keep those dark whispers at bay, but no that there is need of a dark hero, he’ll have to tap into the side of himself he hates the most. The one that loves the glorious flow of warm living blood.

Talent(s): Sword, archery, horseback riding, travelling, poison, haggling, self meditation

Abilities: Master Archer, Master Swordsman, when tapping into his dark side - Shadow control

Experience: Travelling everywhere at a young age and throughout his training, Aster has a strong grasp on reality and the true happenings around Hyrule. He has a lot of experience fighting, not only physical, but also spiritual. Stationed at the Castle town entrance, he is usually managing younger soldiers as they check passports, take entrance fees and send citizens to the medical tents for their health examinations.

Alignment: With the dark

Interests: He is interested in anything of the ‘light’ almost as though he craves it. However his inner self recoils in disgust at anything considered ‘good.’ He is interested in the princess, who he has seen gliding around the castle in sky blue silk and laughter. To him she is the symbol of all he wishes he was, but could never be. He wants to learn to use plants for medicinal purposes, but so far he has only learned of the poisonous effects of plants.

Fears: He fears the darkness within him, and the loss of control, he fears the hero the last time he'd seen Link was when the Kokiris were massacred. He fears the shadows, yet is irresistibly drawn to them

Strengths: Bravery, courage, meditation, apathy, debate, darkness, cooking, potion making

Weaknesses: darkness, inner turmoil, anything to do with the Lightside of the Triforce (the springs, fairies, master sword), Mipha's smile

Likes: Swimming, plants, keeping a diary, horseback riding, training, the princess

Dislikes: Monsters, feeling helpless,

Appearance:

Mipha looked out at the setting sun. It was getting dark enough that she'd soon have to light candles to see the mountain of paperwork on her desk. She decided that she was in need of fresh air, and after a brief walk she'd return and have Lera light some candles for her.

Walking out of her study, she told Lera to fetch her some large candles, and when her dutiful body guard was out of sight, she snuck her way down the stairs leading to the river below. When she reached the edge, she removed the tight silk shoes that choked her feet, and sighed in relief as the damp chill of sand and stone rushed from her soles to her head. The water was painted in all hues of the sunset, and she smiled at the oranges, pinks and reds that sparkled on it's surface.

She was quite enjoying herself until she noticed something was floating in the water a little to her left. Confused at first, she moved closer to it, until she gasped in surprise. There floating lazily on his back, was a young man. He was almost naked, all that was left for cover was tight fitting undergarments. He was well toned and all she could see at first was the tan muscles that relaxed in the red stained river. Shaking her head, she forced herself to look at his face. His eyes were closed, and his jawline strong, he didn't look much older than her, yet she felt her face growing hot as she looked at him more. Around his head was a circlet of black hair, so dark that no light seemed to touch it, and his eyebrows were thick and braw.

Feeling quite embarrassed, Mipha quickly turned to run away, but much to her surprise, and perhaps by a joke of fate, she fell with a splash into the river. Great, she thought, now I look like a pervert. She looked over to see that the man had righted himself and was now treading water, his brows brought together in confusion over startling emerald eyes.

She scrambled and fumbled, as she attempted to escape, all the while her many dress layers were now damp from water, weighed her down. She could feel her clothes sticking to her uncomfortably, and she turned her back to him, hoping to the goddesses that he hadn't regoni --

“Princess?” a deep, yet surprisingly warm, voice called out.

Yep, her life was over.

Simplified: Black hair - so black light does can not touch it, green eyes like the finest of emeralds, tan skin from long days in the sun, toned muscles from relentless training, 6'4'', a true behemoth, strong bone structure

‘I struggle so I do not fall.’
‘Sometimes being what you were not meant to be, is the only choice.’
‘At your service.’
‘Believing that there is a simple answer, is the most foolish thing you could ever do.’

Red rushed over his small pale hands, and it was beautiful. His mouth split into a wide grin, a few of his teeth missing as his adult teeth struggled to break free from their gummy prisons. It would've been the innocent smile of youth, yet it was marred from the crazed look in emerald eyes and freckles of blood that now dotted his cheeks like dying stars.

He twisted the knife further, and feeling of elation entering his chest as his victim thrashed, the last vestiges of life pouring in a ruby fall.

Yes! Squirm you worm! This is what you get for stealing my pack!

The body twitched some more, until finally milky blue eyes rolled into the back of the fat thief’s skull. The feeling of merr increased, and he started laughing, the sound ricketing off the trunks of the surrounding trees. It was a frightening sight, something even a nightmare could not dream up. An eleven year old boy soaked in blood, his small body shaking in the pure joy of the kill. His head snapped to look at the reddened knife, and he felt his tongue begin to squeeze out from between chubby lips, eager to have a taste of his first kill.

However, just before the blade touched soft flesh, he froze. No. This wasn’t him… gasping, the child dropped the knife and fell to the ground, sticks and rocks stabbing into him uncomfortably. He scuttled backward, mud and moss staining his tattered clothing. He moved until he smashed painfully into the trunk of a tree. He didn’t feel any pain, even when he felt a small trickle of wet drip down the back of his neck. Instead his green eyes stared in terror at the bloodied pile of flesh before him.

Why… the man had just stolen his backpack… the only thing of value was his money, the most important items had been stowed in his boot and hung from his neck, and yet there the man lay. Dead. And here he was, shivering from not only fear, but of joy. The boy suddenly felt weak, and tears streamed from his eyes. The water made the green look like the freshest of grass after a rainfall, and he shattered. Wails filled the quiet, and he hugged his knees closer to his chest, his small body rocking back and forth in an attempt to calm himself. He could hear the voice of the Deku Tree, telling him that you aren’t what you are born as, but what you make yourself become. That what is easiest is not the right path, rather the path which twists and turns and goes up and down will be the most rewarding. He just had to push forward and eventually he could silence that part of him, the side that soaked in the misery of his enemies. But how could a monster become a hero?

"In this Day and Age, where the Brave do leave their Mark,
an Evil yet arises, with the Legend left in Dark...
But Pray to ye, oh Hylia, that thou shalt ease our Pain,
while Heroes take up arms to save our Hyrule once Again!"

[ Full Name ]
Leoni Jhonhu

[ Alias ]
Leo

[ Age ]
26

[ Gender ]
Male

[ Hometown ]
The Wilderness (Born in Kakariko Village, in his parents' Caravan.)

[ Species ]
Hylian

[ Alignment ]
Neutral Good

[ Occupation ]
Traveling Bard

[ Political View ]
With the prejudice of the world constantly growing more and more unstable, Leoni does what he can to try and settle things down through music and tales throughout the taverns and inns. Accompanied with him is Sukia, an 18-Year-Old Fokka his parents rescued 14 years ago from a group of bandits. His father, of course, was a Mercenary, and taught Leo how to handle a weapon properly, should a battle be unavoidable. Although his preferred weapon is a Shortsword, he can quickly adapt to the weight of a Longsword if needed. His mother taught him how to sing, however, and he eventually taught himself how to play the Lute. Due to his Hylian Heritage, he is able to even convert song into Minor Spells, or Major Enchantments with his and his allies' weaponry, such as Din's Fire over his allies' weaponry, Nayru's Love over their armor and clothes, and Farore's Wind to briefly "Blink" his party over to a premeditated location... however, each song would take time to cast, and leave him too tired to sing again for about thirty minutes to an hour.

[ Relationships ]
Sukia - Fokka (Wingless Bird People) Female - Best Friend (She develops a crush on him, but doesn't know how to tell him, with all that's going on between the races. Her fierce demeanor is also often mistaken for anger, when in fact, she's just naturally scary, blunt, direct, and not much of a "Social Bird". She has a softer side beneath the heavy plated armor she wears, however, and can be a loyal friend with time and patience.)

[ Appearance ]
His skin is pale, and his eyes are a dark bluish-green color. His hair is dark brown, and cut very short. He has a thin layer of stubble on his face, and can often be seen wearing a light green tunic with light brown leggings underneath, and a brown leather vest over his tunic. He has dark brown gloves that stretch up to his elbows, a pair of dark brown cuffed boots that rise up to his knees, and a green Archery Cap with a Red Feather in its ribbon. (The hat looks similar to the one Robin Hood wore.) On his left hip is a pair of swords - A Shortsword on top, and a Longsword below it. Hanging on his back is a lute, guarded by a thick case with a padded metal plated interior inside it to prevent arrows and most weapons from damaging it inside. (The case can also act as a makeshift shield in dire situations.) Behind the lute, however, is a sturdy Wooden Shortbow, with a quiver hanging below his waist in the back side of his Utility Belt. Above the quiver, holding it in place, is a Hunting Dagger, which he would use while hunting. On his right hip are several bags and pouches, containing his miscellaneous gear, such as strings and materials, Rupees, Flint pieces, and several other miscellaneous things he feels he could use in his travels.

[ Personality ]
Being a bard, he has grown to have a sharp tongue, and a friendly, approachable demeanor. However, even the best of the best Scholars may slip up every now and again, and he is no exception, perhaps asking the wrong questions at the wrong time. With a good price, he can whip up a song for someone in their name, and elevate their popularity in any area.

A man of many masks, he can put up an act quite well, and could blend in with any crowd.

[ Biography ]
A Hylian man always accompanied by his Mercenary Companion, Sukia. Though he can use a sword quite well, it is Sukia that does most of the fighting, while he prefers to remain on the safer side, providing aid and support with his Song Magic. However, when in danger, he does have some training in Swordsmanship, and can handle his own weight. While his parents left him and Sukia in Kakariko Village while they went to Death Mountain, on a trip to deliver some wares, their cart was ambushed, leaving Leoni and Sukia to fend for themselves, and protect one-another.

While she was often the subject of ridicule, she studied and trained hard in all kinds of Weapon Classes, from the bluntest of Warhammers, to the sharpest of Greatswords. Leo, however, trained in Shortswords and Music, while also occasionally giving a Longsword a few test swings.

Together, they both travel across the lands, seeking to help raise morale in these trying times, while also lending a hand, or talon, in the occasional journey... so long as they both remain by each other's side.

[ Talents ]
"Voice of the Goddesses"
- Bard Talent - He can turn Song into Magic, at the cost of Energy.

"Magic Blood" - Hereditary - His Hylian Blood gives him better Power with, and Resilience against, Magic.

"Swordsman" - Learned from his Father - Leoni can use a Shortsword and Longsword very well.

"Beautiful Voice" - Learned from his Mother - He can sing any song, and learn new songs, almost perfectly from one reading. In addition, he can use "Calming Words", an Ability which gives him a chance to calm enemies around him down.

[ Abilities ]
"Din's Touch"
- 10S Cast/10M Effect/30M Cooldown - Enchants the party's weapons with the Fire Element for ten minutes. Any weapons that have another Elemental Enchantment will temporarily switch to Fire, until the spell wears off. Afterwards, they revert to their original Element.

"Din's Fire" - 10S Cast/Instant Effect/30M Cooldown - Engulfs the area around the caster, within a 30-Meter Spherical Radius, in a powerful fire, which burns those that it views as "Hostile", while merely phasing through the party.

"Nayru's Love" - 20S Cast/ 1M Effect/ 1H Cooldown - Covers the party's bodies with Magic, completely nullifying damage for a short amount of time. Momentum is still in effect, however, so it doesn't prevent one from being shoved back by pressure or powerful Airwaves.

"Farore's Wind" - 30S Cast/ Instant Effect/ 24H Cooldown - The party is surrounded by a powerful, unshakeable wind, which prevents damage, and lifts them into the air, before "Blinking" them away from the area in a flash of light. They are then teleported to the inn that the caster previously rested in. The effects are so powerful, however, that the caster will need to sleep immediately afterwards, lest they pass out from exhaustion.

"Song of Healing" - 10S Cast/ 20S Effect/ 24H Cooldown - Heals up to two targets for 20 Seconds. Leaves the user exhausted, to the point of losing consciousness shortly afterwards.

"Song of Storms" - 10S Cast/ 5M Effect/ 4H Cooldown - Summons a Storm Cloud over a 100 Meter Radius, causing a Thunderstorm for up to five minutes. The water would soak everyone in the area, including the party and caster, which would Amplify the effects of Electricity, but Extinguish Flames, and reduce its effectiveness, in the process.

"The Harpy's Voice" - 30S Cast/ 8H Effect/ 12H Cooldown - A modified version of Zelda's Lullaby that puts everyone in the area to sleep for 8 Hours, including the Caster. Those who cover their ears are safe, however. Getting touched or hit, however, will wake the target, and break the effects of the spell, while the Caster will, in addition to being left vulnerable, feel as if they were awake for 8 additional hours, and risk tiredness!

"Song of the Wild" - 10S Cast/ 5M Effect/ 30M Cooldown - An enchanting melody that grows grass around the caster's feet. The grass only lasts 5 minutes, before withering and dying out. While seemingly useless to some people, with enough creativity, it can be quite a handy spell to cast, and costs very little energy!

"Song of Strength" - 15S Cast/ 10M Effect/ 1H Cooldown - An ancient tune passed on from the Goron Tribes of Death Mountain, once used to transport the Hero of Time into the heart of the Volcano. It is said to empower a single target with Goron Strength for up to 10 Minutes! However, once the spell wears off, the target is left with extreme Muscle Fatigue, and would have to rest for at least an hour, or suffer through the battles with half of their potential strength!

"Song of Sacrifice" - 15S Cast/30S Effect/ 24H Cooldown - One of the darkest, yet versatile Songs to date. Formerly known as the "Nocturne of Shadows", a ritualistic process must take place thirty seconds or less before it can be sung. The user touches the first target to mark them as the "Target", while the second one the user touches within thirty seconds is the "Shield". Any damage the "Target" would take is instantly directed to the "Shield" through Magic. After thirty seconds are up, however, the caster's energy is completely drained, forcing the Bard to collapse into a comatose state for 24 hours, unable to wake up until the time has passed.

"Song of Energy" - 1M Cast/24H Effect/ 96H Cooldown - For 24 Hours, the caster can remain awake, and not suffer from Sleep effects. All of their Magic, however, is used up for this to take place within the 24 Hours, including Immunity and Strengths with it. In addition to that, after the 24 Hours are up, they will have to wait another 3 days for their Magic to return to them.

"Song of Time" - 10S Cast/ 5S Effect/ 30M Cooldown - Briefly slows time for the user to a quarter's speed (1S=4S for the User), allowing them to appear as if they are moving at a blurring speed. The Ages have weakened the effects of the song, however, so it only lasts 5 seconds. In addition to that, it provides no protection to the momentum of the user's speed, so the caster, if moving too far, and too fast, may suffer a minor case of whiplash at the end of the spell, while also being propelled back even further if struck by strong airwaves.

"Song of the Zoras" - 10S Cast/ 1H Effect/ 4H Cooldown - The party is given "Artificial Gills", allowing them to breathe underwater for 1 Hour. The spell also grants them immunity to Water Damage, and allows them to swim twice as fast. Fire and Electricity, however, can cause serious harm to them as a trade-off!

"Farore's Voice" - 10S Cast/ Instant Effect/ 30S Cooldown - The user connects to the mind of another individual. They both have to know each other first, however, and should any of the two come in contact with an outside force, the connection will be severed. Despite how dangerous it may sound, the spell is actually quite safe, and both of the users' thoughts are clouded in a dark fog, so only words may be heard. Scholars believe the song originated from a Kokiri named "Saria", as a way to communicate with a dear friend of hers, who left the Forest after being summoned by Princess Zelda.

"Song of the Dead" - 5S Cast/ 30S Effect/ 5M Cooldown - Originally called the "Sun's Song", which made the Hero of Time turn Day into Night and Night into Day many centuries ago, its control of the Sun and Moon have long since vanished. Its melody, however, can still be used to temporarily freeze the Undead. And thus, was the song's name later changed to the "Song of the Dead".

"Calming Words" - 10S Cast/ Instant Effect/ 24H Cooldown - The user waves a calming hand, and speaks carefully, in a tone that most would deem "Unthreatening". If successfully cast, enemies back down, regardless of size, or threat level. Can only be used once every 24 hours, and isn't always guaranteed to work.

"Parrying Strike" - 1S Cast/ 3S Effect/ 30S Cooldown - The user tilts their sword sideways and braces for impact. Within a 1-Second Window, should they be struck by a Melee Attack, the attack is deflected from the opponent, stunning the opponent for 3 Seconds, and allowing the user to counter-attack for additional damage.

"Middle-Grade Block" - 1S Cast/ 1S Effect/ 5S Cooldown - The user has a Middle-Grade Shield or item that acts as a Shield. As a Middle-Grade item, it can block most 1H Melee Weapons, 2H Swords, Arrows, and Small Projectiles. However, it is incapable of blocking Heavy 2H Weapons, Explosives, Large Objects, and is not immune to Magic. Can not block more than three strikes simultaneously within a 5 Second Timeframe, or the user would suffer a "Guard Break", rendering them stunned for 3 seconds!

"Counterattack" - 10S Cast/ Instant Effect/ 30M Cooldown - The user braces themselves for their target, holding their weapon in a defensive stance, and reading their enemy's movement for 10 Seconds. Once the 10 Seconds are up, they remain vigilant and steady, awaiting the opponent's next move. Shoud a thrust be made against the user, the user would Riposte, parrying the enemy's weapon, and countering with a thrust of their own. Should the enemy strike, the user quickly rolls out of the way, and countering with a Rising Slash to the back. Should the enemy Leap Attack, the user rolls to the side, before countering with a Spin Attack. Should the enemy Sweep, however, then the user leaps into the air and performs a Helm Split.

(More to be learned at a later date...)

[Weaknesses ]

"Mortal Flesh" - As a Hylian, his flesh is, while not the weakest, still quite low in comparison to most of the other known races.

"Low Stamina" - Unfortunately, not all Hylians can run for more than ten seconds without tiring out. Leoni is no exception to this.

"No Elemental Benefits" - As a Hylian, he has no resistance to the Natural Elements, and has to rely on external resources for protection from extreme conditions.

"High Thirst" - He may not be overweight, but all that singing makes Leoni thirsty quite frequently. He keeps a Cantine inside his Inventory for such an emergency at all times, but likely has to refill it every time they enter a town.

"Soft Hearted" - Growing up in a Dangerous World might've made many hardened for blood, but Leoni learned to stay his blade unless necessary. However, he takes no joy in the ending of another's life, and may grow depressed for long periods if pushed that far.

[ Strengths ]

"Hylian" - He is a Hylian, which grants him a bonus in Magic Attack, Defense, and Capabilities, due to his heritage with Hylia. Furthermore, any Magic cast against him is less effective than usual.

"Bard's Tongue" - As a man of Songs and Stories, Leoni can sway a conversation and battle in his, or his party's, favor, at the plucking of a Lute's String. As an added bonus, Diplomats and Guards are more than willing to listen to him.

"High Magic" - His Magic Power is quite high, thanks to his Hylian Blood. He can learn, and cast, more spells than most of the other races as a result, and is less likely to suffer greatly from it.

"Swordsmanship Training" - His father was a Mercenary. While not quite as skilled as an Elite Guard of the Hylian Royal Guard, his Grandfather was a Soldier, who taught his Father, who eventually taught him.

"Moderately Healthy" - While not packing Goron Strength, the years of Travel has made Leoni's body well-toned. Although he may not have much Stamina, he can still carry a great deal of weight around.

[ Preferences ]

Rather than the Clashing of Blades, and the Cries of War, Leo prefers hearing the Clanging of Mugs, and the Cheers of Joy.

[ Quote ]
"I don't wanna be the hero...
... I wanna be the guy that elevates heroes when times are most grim!
"

[ Writing Sample of Character ]
The path to Kakariko Village is fairly quiet. With leaves rustling from the trees of the Eldin Province, and the local wildlife occasionally scurrying through the bushes, it almost seems quaint and peaceful.

From the road, however, another sound could be heard... the sound of footsteps, and armor-plated talons clamping into the dirt that coats the trail.

With Kakariko Village still several miles away, a Hylian Man and a Fokka Girl take the trail; Bluish Green Hylian Eyes focused in the same path as the Blood Red Eagle Eyes.

The Hylian is dressed in his usual Traveling Garb, which consists of a simple Feathered Light-Green Archer's Cap, Long Leather Gloves that covered half of his arms, a Light-Green Tunic below a Leather Vest, Light-Brown Leggings below the Tunic, Leather Knee-High Boots, and the equipment over his Utility Belt, which consisted of a Shortsword and a Longsword over his left hip, a Hunting Dagger and Quiver behind his back, a Lute Case and Shortbow hanging over his shoulders, and several small bags over his right hip, letting out a small, feint "Clink" with each step he makes.

The Fokka, certainly a very rare species to find these days, is a far more different site than the man clad in cloth. She, instead, is clad in bright gray Platemail Armor, with her yellow talons' claws still exposed. Her feathers are dark gray color, and her beak, as yellow as her talons, is halfway-covered from the upper half, while the lower half remains exposed for her to speak with. However, her helmet would appear to be able to fold up, so as to guard the rest of her beak if lifted. On her back is a Buster Sword, with a blade almost the size of her, who stands up to the Hylian's shoulders. Her belt, like the Hylian, contains bags that hold her equipment, but lacks swords or daggers. Her shoulder, however, also has a Longbow and a Quiver resting on it.

"So," the Hylian begins in his Cheerful Middle-Pitched tone, resting his arms behind his head, "I spy something... blue! And it's-"

"It's the sky, isn't it?" the Fokka intervenes, her High-Pitched Avian Vocal Chords showing little humor in his comment. "And before you answer with 'Yes', I spy something green... it is the grass, which I'm sure you already know."

"Wow... okay, then! I guess we're done with that game for now..." His shoulders slump slightly in disappointment. He then lets out a long, drawn-out yawn.

"Leo, are you getting tired?" she asks, eyeing him curiously.

Leo waves a dismissive hand, however, before replying, "Nah, Sukes... I'm fine. Just a little bored, is all."

She rolls her eyes. "Ugh... why can't you just call me 'Sukia', exactly?"

Leo shrugs his shoulders before replying, "Well excuse me for trying to come up with a Pet Name for ya!"

"W-what?! I'm nobody's pet! J-just because my Ancestors were Ganon's pets doesn't make me like them!" Her cheeks begin to take on a bright red hue, while her cheeks puff out in annoyance.

Leo chuckles, before shaking his head and gently waving hands her way. "Easy there, Sukia, it's just an expression!"

"It... is? Sorry, but I do not understand the meaning of that expression!" She folds her arms over her chest as if to indicate her waiting for a response, but with thin patience.

"It's another term for 'Nicknames'... like how you simply call me 'Leo', for example, and not 'Leoni'."

"T-that's just because it's hard to say Leo-Knee... Lee-Owe-Knee... ugh!" She continues struggling with the strange Hylian word, before she notices the mischievous grin plastered on her companion's face... he's just playing a joke on her!

Finally, he bursts out laughing, while her face only grows redder by the second.

"H-Hey! What's so funny, Leo?!" she continues to fumigate at his laughter, while he doesn't answer with anything but even more laughter.

She finally groans, before looking forward again, scratching the back of her head. "You Hylians are so confusing..."

They both continue on the road in relative silence (once Leoni finishes laughing, of course), only making the occasional comment here and there about what their plans would be once they've reached the entrance to Kakariko Village.

Knowing that her own people are no longer common knowledge, she expects them to just pass her off as a Deformed Rito, or something. It is the kind of helmet she's wearing, after all, and bears their crest on the forehead. While the Hylians and Zoras might be going through some Diplomatic Trouble, not much was heard about the Rito People's Disposition with them.

If they're lucky, however, they might bump into the previous guards that they met during their last visit, who were nice enough to let them pass through without questioning their Passports... sure, while they were legitimate Passports, one might not believe a Rito without Wings is, in fact, a true Rito.

But in this day and age, nobody really knows what they might bump into... or even who...

It appears you're missing something, Justin. I read your CS, and did not quite see it. If I missed it, pardon me, as it is currently 3:30A. Without this special something, I cannot approve ( I want to so badly :o please add the missing something, only when you've found it and read everything about the RP).
