Fantasy In his darkness shines her light (vampire rp/ open )

Josephine ran as fast as her long legs could go through the dark forest. The icy rain hit her skin like needles. She’s got to get away. Away from camp, away from them. The tears in her eyes mix with the rain hitting her face, falling together down her cheeks.

The trip had started without a hitch. She and her boyfriend had decided to go on a trip to visit the beautiful country of Lithova. However, at the last minute, he invited their mutual friend, Ana, to join them. She thought nothing of it and was glad to have another girl on their trip. However, on their third night there. Everything went wrong.
It was her turn to gather more wood for the fire, and she had just gotten back to camp. However she didn’t make it far before noticing the sounds of kissing. She moved quickly and found her boyfriend kissing her so called friend. She dropped the wood, numb, and iced to the core. Her boyfriend tried to give a half assed excuse, but she knew what she saw. Silent and in shock, she turned and ran into the forest. The sounds of thunder quickly followed her as she went deeper and deeper into the darkness.

Her lungs burned as she ran.

Finally, seeming to get her wits about her, she stopped. Leaning against the thick trunk of a tree as the rain pelted her body. The clothes she wore stuck to her and her hair was soaked. She looked around and realized she ran too far. Shit she thought as she tried to find a way back.

She didn’t want to go back. But with the chill of night and the icy rain. She was in desperate need of some warmth and dry clothes. However, getting back proved more difficult than she thought. She seemed to have gotten turned around and was now lost. She didn’t want to panic and decided to keep walking, hoping to stumble upon some form of civilization.

After stumbling around in the dark for what seemed like hours, she came upon a stone bridge. It was crumbled here and there and looked ancient. On the other side she saw what looked like a small castle. What was curious was that there was a light on inside. Desperate, cold and hungry. She crossed the bridge and headed towards what she hoped would be her savior.

She soon came upon a large wooden door. More than 8 feet tall. She used the large door knocker and gave it a few good knocks.
Nothing. She waited before knocking again. Still nothing. She normally wouldn’t do this. But she was shivering and she knew her lips were probably blue at this point. So she gave the door a good push and somehow opened it. Thanking her lucky stars it was unlocked.

Shutting the door behind her, she looked around in awe at the grandeur. It was seemingly frozen in time. Curiously, it looked like it had been cleaned recently. She frowned. How could that be possible? From the looks of the decor and architecture. This place couldn’t be more than 500 years old. How come it was so well kept?

Her answer soon came. The creak of a door caught her attention. She turned towards the large staircase and tensed up as footsteps filled the empty hall. Candlelight soon illuminated whoever was descending the stairs. She only got one look at him before fainting. Not knowing if it was from fear, or from being in the bitter cold and rain for hours. However, she does know one thing, he had inhumanly pale skin. And sharp fangs as he opened his mouth to speak.

The evening had started as any other one would, Achlys arose from slumber precisely at dusk and set out on a hunt. The evening was a cool one though the nip in the air had little to no affect on him as he sprinted at a near glide though the dense forest, seeking out fresh sustenance in the form of a lost hiker or large wondering woods inhabitant. After a short time the weather turned for the worst, heavy pellets of rain washing away any scent and after a short time Achlys returned to his family home of four centuries. Disappointed in his findings, he changed into freshly ironed velvet robes that made his silky long white hair shine in the moonlight that filtered in through the castle windows, and settled on returning downstairs to delve into a good book before trying again once the storm had passed.

As he exited his chambers, Achlys heightened senses quickly noted the sound of the front doors creaking open and the unmistakable scent of living human. He opened his mouth in surprise by the young woman standing drenched in his foyer, looking very much like a wet rat with matted hair to her flushed cheeks, blue lips, and the remnants of puffy tear shed eyes. It was clear she'd been through the storm and appeared lost. Before he could so much as utter a word in greeting to his unannounced guest, she collapsed to the floor. Intrigued, and every bit a gentleman when it came to caring for his guests, Achlys was quick to sprint down the stairs and easily collect his unusual visitor in adept arms.

In very little time, the young woman now lay on an old time lounge chair with immaculate patterns sewn into still fluffy cushions despite the furniture's apparent age. In this room, a fireplace crackled nearby beneath a mantelpiece holding several old-time portraits and oddly shaped trinkets. Achlys stood nearby at an small alchemy table, evidently brewing tea for his slumbering guest as he waited patiently for her to come to once more.
