Fantasy In Favor of None {Signs of the Zodiac}

Krampus

Santa's Shadow
(Current and completed plots are in the Overview Tab)

People believed that one deity created everything. Some thought it was God, others thought it was Vishnu, and so on. They were all wrong. There are exactly twelve beings who created Earth, and many realms aside. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Led by Aries, they fashioned the first mortals in their content image. Taught them how to survive what challenges came. Yet, humans feared the Zodiac. For no reason. Perhaps they couldn't comprehend their power, or they just feared what was above them in general.

Time went on, people evolved into what they are now. With all their weapons, violence, and tendency to act high and mighty. And, humans still fear the Zodiac. Nothing has changed. Except one thing, really. They have decided to try and capture the Zodiac. The managed to capture eleven of them, except for Libra, who has been helping the humans for some reason. Only reason Libra hasn't been trapped is because she's provided knowledge the human government and scientists needed to progress. So, the Zodiacs have been living in containment for who knows how many years, being studied and experimented on. Humans have managed to make some weapons to fight against the power they managed to decode, but what happens when they escape before they can truly get a look at the deities?

~~Gemini~~

Currently, in the line of holding rooms, sat the deities, each in a small room, one side with clear, energy enhanced glass so the scientists and government people could look in. The slender male was sitting in a grubby, but comfortable armchair. Each Sign had a sort of small room made for them, even fashioned a little to their liking, but it was still a cell. The god sighed, watching as someone walked by. He knew who she was. Traitor.

"The door in the back will open up soon," Libra spoke, addressing all of the elenven other Signs"Head out to the common area when they do." The Common Area was a place the Zodiacs spent free time. Another day of experiments had finished up, and they were being allowed time to relax. Gemini watched as Libra passed his little cell, eyes narrowing. The Area allowed them use of their powers, but the walls and roof,and even ground were fused with some mystery that made the powers null and void if they came in contact with the containment. Another doing of Libra helping humans.

Gemini turned his head as the door opened in the back slid up, and got up, sighing"Recess." Walking through the doorway, he could feel some of his power returning. He hated this. His kin trapped. By humans. Great Almighty, he hoped Aries agreed to punish these particular humans, and Libra, if they ever got the chance to escape. The door closed behind him after he walked through, toward the Area, ready to meet his kin on the other side.

Capricorn looked over to the approaching Gemini with pensive eyes. She had been let out a little earlier than the rest and so was waiting patiently. As was her nature. "Gemini," she greeted softly. "How fares thee?" She asked, sounding very formal.

@Krampus

"I've seen better days,"Gemini snorted, walking past Capricorn to settle at a grubby looking tabel and chairs. Gesturing for the female to sit down, he asked"What say you of your day,hm? I hope you haven't become a fan of the experiments these monkeys preform."

@NekoQueen49

Sitting as he silently asked her to do, Capricorn closed her eyes for a moment before fixing her gaze on Gemini. "Indeed I haven't, Gemini. I dislike being poked and prodded just as much as everyone else. But... looking at how situation from a distance, I can understand why the humans are doing this. I would do it, too, to someone I viewed as a threat," she stated logically.

"They have yet to talk with us, to attempt to see us as peaceful beings," Gemini said with a small smile "Perhaps they never will. Aries plans to make us all scarce soon." To leave this wretched building. Make a home sonewhere else, away from human eye.

Capricorn nodded. "That makes sense," she murmured. "Though I would have liked to be a part of the planning process," she continued in a morse tone.

"Not much to be planned until we figure a way to get past the energy block," Gemini sighed, running a hand through his hair "Libra was ever the smart one, to subdue our powers so well." No matter. They'd be free again soon. Soon enough, hopefully.

Capricorn hummed, closing her eyes in thought. "The energy block, hmm?" She crossed her arms over her chest, thinking deeply. Suddenly she opened them, coming to a sharp conclusion. "The humans," Capricorn said lowly.

(@NekoQueen49 This is a Casual rp, so would you mind posting just a bit more? It's hard for me to reply to smaller posts x3)

"What about them?" Gemini asked simply, looking around the dome-like area. He glanced around, seeing none having come to watch them.

Aries was the first one to come out of his cell. He looked around the dome for any sort of escape rout or a break in defenses. He did this every time they he went into a new area but every time he couldn't find anything as Libra thought of just about everything to keep them trapped. He hated it more then anyone else. To not only be betrayed by a fellow god but also by the humans they created as well. He walked towards Capricorn and Gemini as they where talking. "Have you found any lead out of here?" He asked.

"Not until we can crack the energy block," Gemini informed simply "And that's something only Libra can even comprehend. Cap here seems to have a little idea forming though." He glanced at the female, before looking up toward a window, where a small group of scientists appeared, Libra among them. Gemini snorted, and Libra merely smiled before leaving the scientists to collect whatever data they could get, even though no experimenting was going on.

"We'll be out of here soon though," Gemino decided "What say you once we do, Aries? Punish these humans? And Libra too?"

@Quarantine

@NekoQueen49

Aries glared at the scientists inspecting them. "For the humans they shall be punished. As for Libra we should give her a chance to explain her actions, but if she doesn't have a impressive excuse the we will punish her." Aries sighed and punched the ground. "We need to get a hold of Libra and stop her but I haven't seen anyway we can get her."

"Talking with her shouldn't be hard," Gemini snorted "I think all you have to do is ask to see her." That would need to wait until the next set of experimenting came along, when the Signs had chance to speak with scientists, and get ahold of Libra. Shifting in his spot, he decided"There's also the option of taking an aggressive approach next time we're being transferred somewhere, but it's too risky. Libra probably planned for that too."

Indeed Capricorn did have something stirring in her mind. She glanced from the two men to the group of humans above. She wondered lightly if they could hear them. In case they did, Capricorn released a weary sigh. There was little effort in forcing it as she was weary. Not only because of their situation, but because it was also in her nature to be so. "Yes. I see. I doubt there is a way out, Gemini, Aries. It's best just to let them do as they please," she murmured, appearing to be broken.

Ruen (Leo)

Humans. They were essentially weak and powerless beings who couldn't even defend themselves against a wild bear. However, this was only when you weren't taking into account the technological advancements that they had come to create. Humans were weak physically, but they had been given intelligence as well as the ability to communicate ideas in order to further enhance their closely knit societies. This provided them with a dangerous amount of potential to disrupt the world by attempting to even take the power of the gods. This fact had been what fascinated yet worried Yuen for so many years. It was also what had ended up in his downfall. As someone who was capable of altering his appearance any way that he wishes, Yuen had always been one of the more elusive member of the zodiacs, being that he was able to easily blend in. However, it seemed that even his abilities couldn't prevent the technology of the humans as well as Libra's assistance from allowing the humans to find and capture him.

At the moment, Yuen was sitting against the wall with his eyes closed. His languid expression along with his slow and steady breathing gave the image that he was, perhaps, sleeping. However, Yuen's ashen grey eyes flicked open the moment that he heard a familiar voice announce that the door to the common area was going to open. Said voice belonged to none other than Libra, the very zodiac who had assisted the humans in their capture. While many were undoubtedly angry with her betrayal, Yuen himself did not know what the make of the situation. Most of the time, she always had a reason for doing things. The question was, what reason did the humans give her that she agreed to assist in the capture and experimentation of her own kin? Once these questions were answered, then he would make his judgement.

Deciding to finally make his way out to the common room, Yuen happened to walk out just in time to hear the conversation going on between Capricorn, Gemini, and Aries. He was still a few feet away from the trio, but his sense of hearing was sharp enough to pick up the things that they were discussing.

Yuen quickly but quietly made his way towards the three and popped up right behind them before giving the dejected Aurel a light, almost teasing poke on the cheek.
"If the humans were able to convince Libra to do something as nonsensical as helping them capture us, then she can be reasoned with to help us escape given that we use the right words." Of course, the way that he said it so lightly made it seem like he thought of it as an easy task, but Yuen actually did realize that convincing someone to release them from captivity wasn't going to be such a simple feat. There was no point in adding to the already pessimistic atmosphere, however.

Interactions: Gemini, Aurel (Capricorn), Aries

Capricorn glanced over at the new arrival. She didn't react very much to Yuen's playful poke save for a bit of annoyance showing in her expressive brown eyes. She spared him a short glance before shifting her gaze onto the humans that were still watching overhead. Aurel looked back to the small group. Idiots. We need to be more careful of what we say. "There's no use in discussing such matters when there isn't even a way to reach her," Aurel said in a deceptively light tone.

Anna sat on her floor thinking about how she should eat this new chocolate she got from that stupid scientist. Humans were so stupid and easily manipulated. She decided to pop it in her mouth and check out what her fellow zodiacs were doing. They were probably talking about escaping and getting Libra back on their side. Anna Sighed 'They will never learn will they, once someone betrays you they should never be trusted or the could do the same exact thing' she thought to herself. She arrived at her friends circle. "So you guys though of any good plans" Anna said casually.

Sagittarius // Luzifer (Lutz)

Another wonderful day. Lutz huffed a short sigh, his cerulean gaze laced with drowsiness trained on the wall opposite from the one he was leaning against. He was currently relaxing as best he could relax, as being a prisoner wasn't the most comforting thing - but the humans and the traitor, Libra, hadn't mistreated them terribly, so that made the whole ordeal rest the slightest bit easier with him. His attention wandered to the glass in front of his room as Libra, speaking of the devil, announced that the door in the back would open to them soon. Socializing.. dull. Not exactly his forte, but it was part of what kept him sane as opposed to being a hermit and isolating yourself. The deity sat up slowly into a sitting position, stretching and exhaling heavily with satisfaction as he felt several joints pop and crackle. He then slid his legs over the side of his bed and stood to his feet, performing another few stretches of the yoga variety before proceeding to shuffle to the aforementioned door.

As he entered the room with the other deities, Luzifer assumed a somewhat introverted-but-friendly disposition as he gazed among the others occupying the space with him. Like most of his fellow Zodiacs, he didn't much care for the humans and scientists keeping them under lock and key, poking and prodding and observing, but he couldn't deny that he had a soft spot for the beings. So complex, so advanced, so.. well, powerful. There was no denying that. They had captured all eleven of them, with the help of only one Zodiac. He was interested in what data they were collecting and would often try and help with their observations by cooperating. It wasn't of any use to him to not cooperate, anyways - after all, he and his comrades were the ones imprisoned. What was wrong with a little compliance? It had the potential to have you treated well and perhaps with added benefits. Humans could be easily persuaded if they had soft spots. Not being a terribly manipulative being himself, Lutz hadn't quite used this yet, only continued to gather trust.

Tilting his head slightly to the left, he focused his attention on the group of Zodiacs while gathering his lavender colored hair with deft and precise movements to tie it up with a small cord one of the scientists had allowed him. The deity then took a few steps closer to the cluster and continued to hold his tongue, only listening to their verbal banter with a somewhat curious expression. Talk of escape and such was trivial with the humans in the room observing him, but then again, they should have expected as much. Matters of talking to Libra weren't as frivolous as ideas of escape, however. If she had been convinced to turn on them to help capture and contain them, then she must have an imperative reason for doing so. Even if she wouldn't rejoin the deities' side, they could have the chance of knowing why, and then have the potential chance at fixing whatever went awry in her mind.

"Nothing that's not obvious." Aries replied. He sat down and said "Aurel's right and even if we did manage to get to Libra she's not just going to say I'm sorry and let us out." Aries turned and stared at the scientists observing them waiting for them to go away.
