Realistic or Modern In a Criminal City

Being an expert in parkour, he jumps from wall to wall, running and jumping. He sees some type of abandoned hotel. He grabs his shoulder and busts into it, throwing himself trough the glass walls. He gets up and starts running up-stairs. He goes floor by floor, at the 4th floor, he bursts into a room, he hides under the bed there.

"You gotta be kidding me." James got annoyed when he returned ground level. Regrouping with his Dog, he decided to sniff the kid out while waiting for back up to arrive. At this point, he did not care if the kid was unarmed or not. In order to prevent him from escaping again, James decided that he was going to shoot him the second he decides to try and run. So he drew his Handgun and made sure it was loaded and ready to go. Sadly for the would-be escapee, Blackheart caught his scent. The search quickly took James to the 4th Floor. It was only a matter of time until he found what he was looking for.

He hears the dog sprinting, he can't do anything to hide, the dog will smell him. He gets up and looks at the giant door-sized window, theres a roof really close to it. He opens his backpack and gets on some vests he has. If i fail this jump, this will help my fall. He gives a jump for it, breaking the window and falling on the next roof. He lands it rolling, he sees the roof has windows. I can't think right now, die or run. He runs and jumps on the window, breaking it and falling on the floor of the building, he collapses.

Hearing the loud crash, Blackheart ran back down to the ground floor and back outside. James reluctantly followed him, believing the escapee to still be in the building. After a few more minutes, Blackheart and James split up in order to corner their suspect while waiting for back up to arrive, mainly because Blackheart cannot hold down a suspect while James arrests him as the last time he tried that, it didn't work out so well. Finally, James cornered him and held him at gun point. "Enough with this Cat & Mouse Bulls***. Make one move and you'll regret it." James had his finger on trigger, ready to pull it. Despite wanting to be lenient, James was ready to get aggressive and wasn't afraid to use excessive force, cause property damage or disobeying direct orders. He then wondered where his partner was, as they got separated during the goose chase.

Olivia's partner ran so that he could chase the criminal. They got separated inevitably, yet Detective Donovan let out a relieved sigh. She didn't mind Detective Saverino there with her, but she'd rather not have him there with her. She was also getting immensely bored with this criminal and she stopped caring about him. Detective Saverino was a strong man, he could take him. Detective Donovan did all the important work, anyway. She continued to sit on the bench.

Eventually she got up and went to the supermarket. She needed new groceries anyway. Olivia walked around the aisles, trying to remember what things she needed and what things she didn't need. Wasn't she a great partner? She would head back to the police station when the time was right, to report back to the Police Captain and interrogate the criminal. Even though it was obvious he committed the crime.

"Dammit partner...where are you?..." James wondered as he continued to watch the unconscious criminal, still ready to shoot him if necessary. Blackheart started growling, worrying him. He then tried to communicate with his partner through wireless comm. "Olivia, its James. The suspect's outside with me, unconscious. I need you here in case he wakes up and tries to do anything stupid." he said.

He then knelled down to check the boy's pulse. He was still breathing, but the fall seemed to have knocked him out. He holstered his gun before yanking out a pair of handcuffs and got ready to arrest him. The Dog started growling even more. James could only hope that Olivia would meet him before something drastic happens.

"Oh! But I'm at the checkout line." Olivia said, waiting in line to buy her grocery store. She tapped her foot as the teenaged bagger slowly bagged her food. Groaning for the teenager to hear, she responded again. "I'll be there in a few. If he wakes up, drag him down to the police station. I'm sure you aren't a complete imbecile." She grabbed the grocery bags and walked to her apartment to put them away. She wasn't about to leave them there or run around with them making imprints on her arms from the weight.

She jogged to her apartment door, unlocking it, touching the door knob, locking it, touching the top of the door knob and unlocking it again. Entering her apartment, she threw the groceries on the couch and headed to where her partner was.

(If you're confused at the supermarket part, please check my last post. I edited it.)

James proceeded to arrest the criminal. After a few minutes, James dragged him into a Police Cruiser and back to the Station they went. Because the boy was still unconscious, they let him rest in the Interrogation Room where he was being monitored by six cameras so there was no point in trying to escape. At least this time, James didn't have to knock him out or do a beatdown or anything. After locking up the interrogation room, James went to wait for his partner in her office.

Olivia arrived at the police station, where she predicted they might be. According to her partner's reputation, he probably already did damage to both the abandoned hotel and the criminal. She walked to her office to the face of Detective Saverino. "How was the goose chase?" She asked him. "Are we going to interrogate him now?" She proceeded to sit down at her desk. Looking through her scattered papers, she found a notebook and started to write in it.

While awaiting her partner's response, she wrote today's journey in the notebook. Normally she wasn't one who documents her cases, but she decided to write down the least boring ones. She ran her hands through her feathery black hair and sighed as her hand started hurting from writing.

James looked over at their captive. He had no where to run, no where to go. He had six cameras on him, the door was locked and he was monitored. Because he was still knocked out, James decided that whoever was monitoring the cameras to notify them when he does. "No. Let him sleep. Trust me, when you put me in the Interrogation Room...It tends to get ugly pretty fast." He chuckled, still remembering the last few interrogations he had done, where he tossed his victim around the room like a rag doll and broke the table many times, even damaging the ceiling before pulling out a baton. Half the time, the Captain and other High Ranking Officers didn't say anything about it, mainly because they were too busy laughing and it was entertaining watching the Detective beat the crap out of people he interrogates when they do not cooperate.

Olivia cracked a small genuine smile, but it disappeared as fast as it came. If they weren't going to interrogate the subject, what were they gonna do now? She contemplated this. He could leave Detective Donovan to herself and they could mind their own business until the criminal woke up, or... "I'm craving ice cream. We should go get some ice cream." She said, getting up from her desk and gently pushing in the chair. Olivia had a bit of a sweet tooth, and when she wants sweets, you better give her some. Quick. She can act like a bit of a child at times and she can be difficult due to her antisocial behavior, but she really was a caring person if you see her emotional side. She rarely shows that side of herself and she is she she won't be showing emotions anytime soon. Olivia walks to the ice cream place not too far from the police station. They did their job and it was only fair that they got rewarded with sweets.

Detective Donovan walked up the the frail old lady serving the ice cream. That old lady had been working in that shop ever since Olivia had first arrived to Los Angeles, and have probably worked there for a long time before that. This was her favorite ice cream shop and she came here often. The lady here has developed a soft spot in her heart for Olivia and always offers her free ice cream. Of course, Olivia still pays her even if she tries to reject the money. "Hi, I'd like the usual please." She said blankly as she scooted to the left to let Detective Saverino order if he'd like an ice cream.

"Well...Its not my 'cheat day'. Sorry, I'm on a diet." James gently declined on the Ice Cream. When they sat down in the Ice Cream Shop so Detective Donovan can enjoy herself, James wondered. However, he refrained from drawing his gun since they were in a Public place where it was preferable not to draw your weapon. He then started thinking about the day of his Father's death. His faithful K-9 Companion, Blackheart, was at the Police Station resting with the other K-9s.

Olivia nodded and wondered about people dieting. She didn't know why people cared so much about their appearance and image, yet she also didn't know why people cried so she doesn't know of a lot of things that have to do with personal thinking and emotions. She scooped up her ice cream and ate it, bit by bit. It was delicious. She smiled as she ate on. Olivia peers up at her partner, and gave him a questioning stare. "Detective Saverino, what's your first name? I've never caught it." She looked back down at her ice cream, which was now almost gone. Olivia could probably eat ice cream all day, but that wasn't very healthy for her and she would most likely throw up from it. She scooped up the last of it and swallowed it slowly, savor ing the last bite of her ice cream.

Detective Donovan was warming up to Detective Saverino, in a way. She talked a lot more around him, which means that he isn't an idiotic fool that can't solve cases. He can definitely solve cases. She wasn't sure if he was idiotic or not. But seeing as she's munching on ice cream with him right now he's probably not an idiot. Olivia smiled to herself, staring down into the empty ice cream cup and burping. That was delicious.

When she asked him about his first name, he lost his train of thought. "First name is James." He replied fairly quickly. Although he enjoyed working with Donovan, he was wondering if she'll ever get to see him get violent. After all, he was a 'loose cannon' and was known for using excessive force, causing property damage and disobeying direct orders. "And yours?" he asked in return.
