noir birdie submitted a new role play:

Immortal Sins - In a world were a certain few live forever, one has taken it upon themsleves to do the impossible.

This tale begins so long ago, that no unit of today's measurement would even begin to scrape the surface of its immense volume. It begins on another world entirely, one that went very wrong.
In the beginning, the grand creator of all sought to create a perfect world. In it's utopian vision, man would govern themselves without the need for a higher entity. When it created its new world, it granted all of its beautiful creatures eternal life. Without the worry of death, they were free to do as...

Panting heavily, Token tore through the dense forest that surrounded the warehouse she had been staying in. What the hell had that...thing been? She had heard rumors through the immortal grapevine that a mortal cult had been stupid enough to resurrect Ira, but she hadn't paid much attention to them, as whispers such as that resurfaced every decade or so. But she had been so sure that whatever had woken her up in the middle of the night so suddenly was a creation of Ira's. She hadn't seen a monster such as that since she had fought the Wrathful woman on the battlefield. Pausing for a moment once she believed she had gotten away, she leaned against a tree trunk, nervously fiddling her paper fortune teller in her hand. A load snap followed by the crunching of earth beneath feet startled her, and she jumped up, clenching her eyes shut to hold back tears.

"This is it." She thought to herself "My luck has finally run out."

Groaning, Emma twirled the Scythe in her hands, cutting through the creatures surrounding her. Looking around she winced at the sight of more following her. Giving up on fighting at the moment, she turned and ran through the woods, weaving throughout the trees, hoping to possibly lose her chaser. Hearing a snap, she froze, looking around. Locating where the noise was coming from, Emma quickly took off, hoping to find it, whatever it was, before it found her first.

Rounding a tree, her eyes widened at the sight of someone. "Token...?!" she whispered incredulously, before starting to run towards her, Scythe gripped tightly in her tired hands.

Nathan wiped the blood from the blade of Wrath, the axe humming with glee from the kill.

"She's coming, long at last." he whispered, not a drop of emotion in his voice. He had felt no creature like that since the night She fell. Its heart whispered to him, secrets of the cult's violation of the Creator's will seethed into his head. He willed the War-Axe back into its smaller form, attaching it to his hip.

"They dare defile my goddess' remains?! I'll show them, THEY'LL ALL BE JUDGED!" he yelled out into the cold nights air. Sensing another abomination, he ran into the trees, packing a clips into his prefered weapons. It was gonna be a long night, and he was running out of ammo.

"Yeah. Why the sudden interest, Em? Haven't seen you since, what, the 50's?" Although her words were harsh, Tokens voice wavered, as if on the verge of tears. She didn't mind Emma, though. She had never been as cruel as some of the others.

"...Is she awake..."

"...We've been getting reports of Wraths monsters all over the globe..."

"...Targeting immortals, most likely. Wouldn't be surprised if Emma and that psychopath Nathan were at the top of her hit list..."

Different voices were begging to break through the fog in her mind. Where was she? The last thing she remembered was her own axe being driven into her chest. She couldn't be alive! Not after that!

Emma glanced around as she slowed to a stop next to Token. "Yeah, been a while." she said. "So this is where you've been hiding out huh? Tried to stay out of the way myself but, doesn't seem like things are working out much now." she said, finally looking down at the other immortal. "You alright?"

"G-ahhh!" Nate screamed as the creature's razor sharp talons tore through the flesh in his back. The guns were not enough, but he had no idea what would occur if he used tbe weapon of Wrath right now. 'No doubt, she'll know it is spilling blood.' He thought as he blasted away at his enemies, to no avail. His only concern was that he would come across her in this condition. After all, it was he who delivered the final blow so long ago. As some form of payment, he was cursed three-fold: blinded, stuck with the weapon as its acting vessel, and able to hear everyone's hearts--all at the same time. "Is there anyone out there?!" He yelled into the cold, resisting the urge to give into a bloodbath and end the symphony of Her minions' voids for hearts.

"Y-yeah! I'm perfectly fine! Why would I not be? It's not like I can't fend for myself." Token replied to Emma, clenching her fists into tiny balls. She was about to blurt out a few more useless sentences of reply, when she heard what sounded like screaming coming from deeper in the woods. Holding up her hand to silence Emma, even though she had been the loud one, she whispered, "D-do you hear t-that? It almost s-sounds like Nate. But he went crazy ages ago, what would he be doing here?"

Emma tensed, bringing her Scythe up in a defensive position, slowly turning to glance around the area. "I-I think that was him..." she muttered. "I have no idea what he could be doing here....The only reason I could think of would have to do with these creatures..." she replied. She looked down at Token. "You wanna check it out?" she asked, hesitantly.

"I guess we should." Token sighed in an exaggerated manner, playing off the tears from earlier as nothing more than nervosuness, "Better make sure the idiot hasn't hurt himself. Or worse, somebody else."

Nate ran among the trees, hearing voices in the direction he stumbled. "Run!" he yelled out, feeling Token and Emma in the closing distance. "She's returned! M'lady had come back from the Nether!" he shouted. The voices were too strong, he couldn't hold back any longer. He grabbed the Axe and unleashed its full power, extending into an enormous war-axe once more. Almost immediately his figure surrounded by a dark red aura. "Die." he whispered as he began slaughtering the creatures in his wake.

Emma nodded, giving Token a small smile, before tensing at the sight of Nate. "He seems to have found us first." she muttered, slowly sliding into a battle stance in front of the smaller immortal, her scythe at the ready.

"It appears so." Token replied, tensing up as well and holding out her stupid fortune teller in what she hoped was a threatening manner. When Nate entered the small clearing, she took one look at him, what with his dark aura surrounding his entire body and axe drenched in blood and bolted in the opposite direction, calling out to Emma as she ran.

"Sorrynotsorry. Don't feel like dying today."

Emma chuckled despite the situation before letting her sin nature come forth a bit. "I'm hungry.....for this blood..." she growled, before charging after the few creatures that had decided to try and get around her and after Token. Slicing one of their heads off, Emma grinned, ignoring the blood now across her neck and the few dots on her face. She grinned a feral grin at the others in front of her before using the vines on the ground to slice into the creatures, tearing them to pieces.

Emma grinned sweetly, reigning in her gluttony, before taking off after Token. She hoped there weren't any more creatures up ahead. Nate could take of himself.

"Token!" Nate yelled, taking long strides to her. He knew she wouldn't get far--with short legs and such. "I have traveled all the way to Mexico. I really don't feel like decapitating you to get you to listen to me. But she is back, we don't have much time, and as soon as she gets this axe you know what will happen." he said calmly, his lust for judgement quelled for the moment.

Token didn't listen to Nate as she sprinted ahead. If the grown-ups wanted her for their stupid games, they could suck it for all she cared. They had ignored her after the battle with Ira, only meeting up when some pressing matter like world war demanded it.

"Go away Nate!" She screamed back at him, like a little girl yelling at an older brother, "You shove off too, Emma. You're all meanies and you never let me play with you anywa- oof!" She was cut short when she tripped over a tree trunk in her haste. A sickly snapping sound echoed in her ears when she fell, and she whimpered as she attempted to stand on the most-likely broken leg.

Emma's eyes widened and she skidded to a stop by Token. "Are you okay?" she asked, looking at the girls leg. "Can you move your leg? We need to get out of here." she said hurriedly, hoping the girl would be able to walk. Based on what her leg looked like, she wasn't sure though. 'Drat! We should hurry...' she thought.

"Urrrggg..." Token hadn't felt this busted up since she was punted halfway across Lake Michigan in a bet gone terribly wrong, "I can walk." She snapped, attempting to step lightly on her foot only to have to fall against a tree for support.

Emma sighed. "Token, let me help you. Please. We need to get out of here, and I'm not going to leave you here alone." she told her earnestly. "You can rant and yell and, once healed kick me later if you want. But right now, I'm going to put you on my back, and try to make it out of here where we can fix your leg." she said. "Will that work?"

"Fine. But you're still a jerk either way." Token huffed in reply, "It's you're fault I hurt myself. If you had stopped me I wouldn't of tripped."

Emma grinned, placing her Scythe down and gently grabbing Token's arms and wrapping them around her neck. Grabbing onto Tokens injured leg, Emma grabbed her Scythe in her free hand. "Of course. Feel free to kick me later, got it?" she joked. "Now, hang on tight." she said, before starting to run again.

Emma was fast, Token had to admit it, and as she clung onto the other immortals neck, she had to admit it felt good to be around one of her own again.

She clutched her fortune teller in her hand, realizing that this, along with the clothes on her back, were the only things she had managed to get from the ware house before she was forced to run.

"Oh no!" Token whispered to herself, "That means I left Cherice. She'll be afraid all by herself." Referring to the plush rabbit she had one in a game of marbles against a nine year old some years previous.

"You wanna tell me where to go?" Emma asked her, her volume rising a little so the girl could hear her over the wind. "If you can I can get in there and then we should be good to make it out fine." Emma explained, hoping Token would be happy with that. Emma felt bad for being so rude to Token after everything had happened, but Emma also had some trouble at that time, and hadn't been able to try and help the smaller out. She sighed to herself, shaking her head slightly. Worry about that later. They needed to get out and fast.

"I dunno. We can't go to the closest hospital, I went there last year when I fell out of a tree and gave my myself a concussion. They called the cops 'cause they thought I was a runaway." Token though for a moment before adding, "I think there's a motel somewhere nearby that doesn't ask to many questions."

"Alright," Emma nodded. She had a good idea where to go. "Did you want to see if you can get anything from your Warehouse or no?" She asked changing her directional age could head towards the motel mention.
