Inhumanity: Cries for Sanity

Far into the future, the human race has evolved beyond our imagination. Advanced weapons were created, medicines were further developed, and cities expanded. Along with the accomplishments of the humans, other beings started to emerge as well. Species, as they are called, are creatures that has some human features, but are completely different beings. These Species have different physical and mental capabilities, different appearances, and different habitats. Somewhere during history, humans became aware of these foreign beings, yet they are so secretive, so mysterious, and so out of reach, that humans were never able to get a firm grasp on them.
It was only until recently- perhaps a few hundred years ago, that humans were able to get their first close look at these Species. As human territory expanded, they unknowingly took away the habitats of the Species, and gradually, they were forced into close proximity to the humans. With the humans being a naturally curious race, they eagerly approached their new neighbors. They all had different purposes for approaching them, whether it'd be to make alliances, seek information, or for other ominous reasons. The Species, though hesitant, also sought to learn about these humans that had long dominated the planet.
As soon as the two made contact though, they were torn apart.
No one really knew how it started or when it started, but it happened like a bomb. Several humans who came into contact with the Species suddenly became enraged, delusional, crazy, violent. They would return, only to viciously attack their fellow humans, which, in effect, turned the attacked into one of them. It wasn't long before they discovered that the Species were the cause. The Species caused a deadly disease in humans, which causes them to stop eating and drinking and become completely mad, attacking anyone sighted. It spreaded easily, through injuries caused by them and fluid means. The infected were called Inhumans.
In response, all cities locked themselves away from these seemingly deadly Species. All regular citizens were forbidden to exit cities and enter them without approval. But of course, that did little to stop the spread of the disease. As drastic measures, governments formed an organization. The majority of the members were Hunters, those who are tasked to patrol both inside and outside the cities, and to kill off and capture the Species in order to slow to spread of the disease. There is also a minority of scientists and doctors who experiment on the captured Species in order to search for a cure.
Though, the captured Species aren't the only ones experimented on. There are some humans who are immune to the bacteria which causes the disease. In rare cases, when a human is exposed to the bacteria, there is an extremely small percentage that their body is able to fend against it and prevent themselves from turning into an Inhuman. These immunes are usually hunters within the organization, but it is also not uncommon for them to be brought to the scientists and doctors to find a way to make all humans immune.
Due to the humans' hostility, most Species prefer to remain within their homes in the nature and avoid the humans. There are also those who grew to oppose the humans and became aggressive towards them. The more uncommon few are those Species who, despite the risks of being caught, choose to leave their homes and live in the cities with the humans. Though, the Species' choices in their lifestyle ultimately does not matter, as all of them are considered enemies.
Will these opposing forces be separated for eternity? Or do they have a chance to work together to find a cure for humanity?

This roleplay is the revival of an old one after we had to drop it due to everyone's busy schedules at that time. It had been awhile since I got the chance to come back to this page nevertheless, and I hope nothing much changed, and there are still people who are into detailed roleplays, dealing with fantasy and action.
What I hope to accomplish in this roleplay here is a combination of science fiction and fantasy elements, where technology and fantastical creatures are bound together!
There is still much more to be discussed about this roleplay, I hope everyone are willing to corporate to create an amazing story out of this.
