Leonard had spent most of the three weeks in knee deep papers because of the incoming vacation he would be taking. Everyone began to dump whatever work they could find on the young man. He had to call in his brother to ask for help and his brother, thankfully, decided to take over for his vacation. But of course, there always had to be a deal under it. He would still be sent files to check over and approve of, so he had to bring along his laptop and his phone. And to hope that he can at least get some form of coverage there. If not, there were some papers they had him bring along.
They decided to rent a van to head up to the ski lodge where they would be spending a few weeks together, no matter how disastrous it might end up as. Leonard had immediately taken himself to the driver's seat; if anything, to help distract him from whatever was making his phone vibrate. They'd understand if he was driving. Not even a day out and there's already contact with his colleagues.
He took a peek over to Alana when she placed a hand over his and he simply looked back to the road. Leonard bit back a yawn, shaking his head for a moment just as Alana alerted everyone that they were two hours away. Two more hours. Yeah, he could do that. Besides, he was running on a cup of coffee and another one was in the cup holder. Hopefully when they reach the lodge, they would forgive him for passing out on the couch as soon as they arrive.
"I'm pretty sure we left a bunch of board games there before." He pointed out, trying to think back to five years ago when they were rushing back. "Didn't someone hide it?" By someone, he meant him. And Anna. Mostly him but Anna caught him while was shoving them into a loose floorboard. He wasn't quite sure why exactly he had done that. Maybe it was a bout of immaturity or maybe a silent plea that they would someday come back here and play once more, all together. Well, they did come back, just... they weren't complete anymore.
"But-" He started before stifling yet another yawn. Oh boy. "Let me sleep first? Give me half an hour and I should be fine." Leonard requested with a weak and nervous laugh.
