That is one of the more useful links I've seen here. Mind you, I'm the one who pops up links to things that only muddy the waters, but seriously, this is a nice bit of work someone put in.

The only criticism I have, is that this is a damn AngelFire link, which means pop-ups every few minutes, and it makes Mozilla angry.  Why do you make Mozilla cry like this, ashenpheonix, why?

Because they changed Firefox's name from Firebird - and it ain't giving me Essence anymore.

...but seriously, the site's not mine, I just stumbled upon it from Wikipedia.

No, but you now have advertising stalking every time to load a page that takes advantage of all those tracking cookies (from those security holes that they keep "fixing").

And slow. Did I mention slow?

Combine that with Mozilla's extensions and speed, and there's no contest.

I just want my Cult back.

Actually, you can make firefox block pop-ups... and it should work the same for mozilla.

You just need to be willing to dive into the preferences for your browser.

It is set, and usually gets most of the little bastards, but those marketing genuises have quick thinking monkeys to code for them.  I may be making the switch back to CrazyBrowser, because I prefer the tabulation, and the pop up freeness. That, and it organizes favorites much better.

I've also found the Adblock extension to be nothing short of fantastic.

Also, if your using Windows or Linux get Peerguardian. It's based mainly around P2P firewalling, but stops those pages that want to reference ad pages dead in their tracks. Sometimes you have to switch it off to get to places like Fox Media, but other than that it's highly recommended. I'd wait a week or so though - the dev team's site got hacked a little while back, so they're moving to sourceforge.

You might want to allow pop-ups for this site, if you want it to notify you of new PMs.
