If you were in a house and you used this ability you’d become the owner of the house, if you sing a song you become the owner of that song. In any legal matters you’re treated as the owner and people in general will think of that house as your house or that song as your song. Entities will have no power or will to take your property from you, be it a bank asking for payments on a mortgage or governments trying to seize land or taxes from you. Over time, even those directly affected by this will have their perceptions changed to see you as the owner, but it will take longer for people more deeply affected. It might take a few weeks for a hardcore fan of a game to recognize you as the owner of that game’s intellectual property, and it might take months or years for the owner of a house to recognize you as the owner of that house. Furthermore, the ability grants you no protection against people who would disregard property rights regardless (such as thieves or vandals) nor in situations where people don’t believe or don’t care that property rights are violated (someone singing a song you own for instance).

Yes, and if someone builds a house that house is meant for the owner of the house. You just own the house you don't become the person who owned it. If you snap your fingers in a church you are the owner of the church, as in the building.

I certainly don't mind if people try to find loopholes or exploits with the abilities, but it please try to at least stay within the spirit of what the ability is.

Though anyone is free to use the abilities I come up with in this thread for their own purposes, and if they do then in those they can do whatever changes they would like.

Fucking trolley problems... As much as I know the child is the right choice, given they have the most life after if them and deserve the chance to do something with it, I would not be able to abandon my loved one for a stranger.
Also that jackass hero should do better and break free to help save people, if they're really so great.

Not sure how this is relevant, but it's definitely cats, although bees are also right up there with them.
Cats are very much autistic which is highly relatable to me. They're great for learning to understand non-verbal communication, plus they're so soft and when they purr and knead against me it's the most pleasant feeling!
Bees though! They're so fantastic! They're all about community and communication and I just really love them! Plus they're fuzzy and sleep in flowers sometimes!

This question is a pretty owner of mine on quizzes like this because it feels so irrelevant. But it's honey colors like orange, yellow, and gold.

Fantasy all the way. I usually do classic fantasy, with low to no tech, but honestly anything that has magic in it is good.

A wooded area on the outskirts of a town. It's quiet, but there are still houses in the distance and getting groceries isn't more than a teen minute drive each way. The house itself isn't very large. Probably one story, with a bedroom, an entertainment room, kitchen, a large bathroom, and craft room. There's lots of cat trees and climbing surfaces for my baby.

8) What is the most important quality to have in battle?
Hmm... Probably control. Specifically being able to control the battlefield in some way, whether that be through tactics or abilities.
However I'm definitely more the punchy tank type despite knowing that.

9)What role would you rather have in a teamfight?
Probably tank and/or powerhouse. Something that I can just act in instinct for.

10) Imagine you wake up one day with a power. If it gets out you have it, it would mean danger to you, but the power may be useful to you or to those around you. What do you do?
Depends on the power. If possible, I'd definitely use it to steal from banks, but only if I'm confident I went get caught. Otherwise it'll just be used in the house or such where I'm not at risk.

11) Your best friend blamed you for something they did and now your reputation is ruined, however, if the truth gets out your friend will be in far worse conditions. What do you do?
It depends on the situation. If it would endanger them to reveal the truth, while I'm mostly fine as is then I can live with it but probably won't be friends with them anymore unless they talked to me about it. If it won't endanger them and we'll just put them in a bad social situation or the like though, they get to live with the consequences of their actions.

12) A genie offers you three wishes. He explains that any wish-rule-affecting wishes, any direct influence on others wishes or vague reality altering wishes of permanent effect are forbidden and if requested (or if you try to pull a fast one on the genie) instead of your wish being granted you are killed. I know it's been a while since anyone's touched this thread and I know i've done it before but I thought about it randomly today and decided I'd give it another go, just to see if I've changed over the couple years since I last answered.

1) What is justice to you?
Justice is giving fair recompense to someone who has been wronged and also holds the perpetrator accountable for any harm they've caused. To me, it's an important part of making a functional society that ensures fairness and safety to everyone who lives in it.

2) What is victory to you?
Victory to me can be a small as achieving all (or any) of the goals I've set out to do that day, or something bigger in my life, like graduating from school or getting a new job position.

3) You are a hero. A villain you were fighting has trapped in separate rooms a child, an elderly, a war veteran, a fellow superhero with a good record (but also is a jackass), one of your close family members or freinds, three criminals (all criminals in one room), a priest and an attractive person of the sex you´re attracted to. Needless to say, you can only rescue one room or you can save none and catch the criminal (leaving everyone to die). What do you do?
As a hero, the way the code goes is to protect the innocent and vulnerable of society, first and foremost. The person who fits that bill the most in this situation is either the child, or the elderly person. I'm inclined to save the child, since the kid has more of a life ahead of him. I'd be tempted to save the close friend/family, though in fairness, they shouldn't get special treatment just because of their connection to me.

As for the apartment itself, I'd like a cozy place that has enough just space for myself to feel comfortable. I'm thinking earthy, warm tones for the furniture, almost like a rustic cottage in the middle of the city. Also, I own the place, so no landlords/rent to consider.

Weigh the pros and cons of using the power at all. If I were to pick my power, it would be teleportation, so if I used it, I'd only teleport to places I know to be empty with no people around, but still reasonably close to where I actually want to go. I'd only use this in an emergency.

Your (I guess new?) power is “Slice of Warmth”. Your body has the ability to absorb energy from light itself, akin to an augmented photosynthesis, but the degree is neither controllable nor causes any immediate visible effect. Solar light is the most effective, but electronic lights also work if to a much much smaller extent. The energy thus absorbed is able to nutritionally sustain you, compensating for both food and water without any need to use hot bathroom as nothing physical is being processed. However, if you choose to eat and drink anyway, or simply absorb enough energy from light, you can produce small sponge-light objects that glow and are made of semi-solid light. They are warm like a calm soothing summer day, and infuse such feelings on those who stay in contact with its warmth, though they also grow small as they spend the light they are made from. They can be attached to surfaces but are removed with very little force, and with a bit of time and work can be bent into other shapes you imagine. It will generally conform to your image of what you want to create, and can be shared with others. Generally speaking though, it’ll be the equivalent to making something in play-doh, so you can’t get any mechanisms (that work), or anything sharp or the like out of it. One exception is that it can be shaped into food or molten into a drink, giving others an equivalent energy akin to your own “photosynthesis “.

First, I get a lawyer, who specializes in contracts. then, I ask the Genie if the "direct influence on others" limitation involves setting the genie free from bondage.
honestly, I don't even know what I would do exactly. Some kind of 100% cure for cancer that has no side effects. a way to safely reduce the effects of climate change. set the genie free. Who says that I should have all this power over another, that i should have so much power over the world? what have I done to earn this?

the things that scare me the most are nazis. i see them and I panic. so... call a friend over, hype myself up, get the adrenalin rush going, confront the racist fucks head-on, provoke them into hitting first, then wipe the floor with them so it's self-defense. however, if its a spider, i prefer to use a tactical nuke. Your power is "Portal Planter". Every day you will find some black seeds in your pockets or equivalent. These seeds if properly planted and taken care of will grow into a small tree whose branches form a ring-like shape. As it matures, you begin to be able to faintly see an image between the branches, one that moves and changes as you're in fact looking at another location. Once it reaches a proper mature stage, the image becomes more clear, a portal to another location. You do not get to choose this location nor do you know it until the plant is mature enough to project that image, but the better care you take of the plant the more convenient the final portal will be.

Some of the seeds will also grow plants that look more like bushes than trees. Unlike the other plants which live as long as you're still alive provided they are taken care of, these one have a very limited time span of a couple weeks at most once the portal has developed. Within them are portals to temporary locations. Some will have beaches on a desert island where mysteriously everything that's needed for a great time at a beach can be scavenged (A perfectly functional drill just dropped in the grass, food is brought by the sea in a waterpoof bag, etc...), some have a library full of fantastical books that are unfortunately chained to be unremovable, but the majority has these spaces called dungeons, through which you can solve various puzzles and other challenges to obtain prizes of wealth, self-improvement and the like.

Unless you willingly give the seeds to someone else, only you can plant and grow these seeds. Any of these plants you grow yourself only you and people touching you can go through the portal. If someone else happens to raise one, you can still go through that portal regardless.

"Mercenary Persona" is your power. Somewhere in your body is a slot through which cash (coins or bills both work) can be inserted. If a sufficient amount (determined by the ability, though you always have a vague sense of what it is for any given request) is inserted here and you consent to it, your body is taken over by an alternate personality designed to perfectly fulfill a request you were paid for. This must be a singular request that does not bring you any direct harm you didn't agree to and could be expected/predicted (so direct harm that is a result of an accident or for instance of an emotional need or vulnerability you weren't aware of is not filtered by this),. The alternate personality has not only different personality traits, quirks and preferences, but they even have a set of vague memories (vague enough to not cause dissonance, but still feeling like their own history while they are in control) and their own talents/skills specialized for the request. These skills are not supernatural, but they are among the top in whatever country you happen to be in. Talents or skills that would require substantial changes to your body cannot be achieved through the Mercenary Persona, though those that would require smaller, less visible changes still can.
