[IC] Suncrest Complex - Reboot

"Shouldn't Ayden be back by now?" Max and Graeme looked toward eachother, and Max knew what Graeme was thinking. "Dude, do you really want to get caught by the Red Thorns again? Remember last time that happened?" Graeme nodded, "I beat up four guys, two of which are now in jail. I'd say it was a win." Max laughed, "Yeah, because three broken ribs, a black eye, and internal bleeding is a victory. Okay Graeme, how are you not dead yet?" Graeme shrugged, "I'm Irish. I don't know, maybe it's because they just suck at killing people." Graeme got up from the couch and headed to the door. "Seriously though, he'd have left this morning, and he should be back by now. Something is up." Graeme knew that Max had the same suspicion, cause y'know, several minutes of utter silence from a normally social person isn't a red flag.

Before she could say no, Graeme was halfway out the door. "Wait, Graeme, are you sure you want to do this without any of the others?" Graeme shrugged, "Why not? I'll be fine. I promise to bring back Ayden in one piece too. It's not like he could have gotten himself into that much trouble right?" Max shook her head, "You're insane you know that? Go get Ayden..." As Graeme mounted his bike and turned it on, he looked back at Max. "Don't worry... what's the worst that could happen?"

As he rode down the streets, he kept watch for people. Going into the territory of the Red Thorns meant that he couldn't trust anyone, especially since all the gangs in Seaside knew him by name and title. Graeme of The Royals, King of Fighters. It didn't take long before he had earned that title. He often fought several gang members at once, typically being ambushed, and yet came out on top. Some believed he was ex-spec ops, which was impossible for his young age, but others believed he was part of some darker organization, a super soldier of sorts. Rumors were rumors, but they didn't stop the Red Thorns from trying to beat him at least once.

What's the worst that could happen?

"Well, that's great to hear, 'cause I like you, too." Jodie replied with a smile.
Even Steve, who wasn't in much of a smiling mood, couldn't stop a "proud of her" grin from playing on his lips.
"Thank you." they both responded while going towards the elevator before Steve added, "And it was nice meeting you, too."
They entered the elevator and Steve pressed the ground floor button.
"I still need to take the truck back."
"You have 24 hours, don't you?"
"Well, yeah..."
"Then it can wait." And that was all that was said on the matter.
Before long, the doors opened onto the lobby and they entered the cafe. A man and woman caught their eyes.
"Hey, Dad. Didn't we see them upstairs?"
"Sure did." Steve replied with a sly grin as they walked over to the two stealthily.

"Hey, didn't we see you two upstairs early this morning?" Steve said with a smirk, though his friendly tone undercut any perceived arrogance.

Alex stopped at Brooke’s question. “What sort of game is it? Hmmm….that’s a good question. I don’t know why I hadn’t considered it. Should I make it a full adventure? A supplement to one of our other series with new mechanics? Or just a setting book? I hadn’t really considered where it would fit in the overarching narrative or even the genre...Eh, something to think about after fleshing more out I suppose.” He shrugged further. Running his fingers through his red hair he sighed. “I knew our writers work hard to come up with this stuff, and I never thought it would be easy, but I didn’t realize just how difficult it was.”

Seeing his neighbor’s look he elaborated. “I’m sure you must be confused. Most people are when I start talking like that. Let me explain. I’m the chief editor for Black Bird Games. Our company produces tabletop games, some are like dungeons and dragons, and others are board games like clue but more complex and full of mystery. Though we have considered dipping our toes in to video games. I came back to Seaside because I thought it’d make great research material, but I never even considered what kind of game I wanted it to be for. Originally I was thinking a mystery adventure for one of our more D&D-esque games but now I’m not so sure. No…no I’m definitely going to operate under that decision. It’ll make it easier. So now I need to figure out where our intrepid band of adventurers sets themselves up…”

He didn't seem entirely freaked out. Of course, she could see him trying to make sense of her words in his head. Chuckling Genevieve answered vaguely. "Call it intuition." She paired it with a sweet smile. "and yes, I would love to try one." Socks moved slightly in her bag. "Heh, do you think cats would like rice balls? I really shouldn't feed her human food, but look at her," the cat yawned and shook her head, "irresistible." Genevieve's eyes flicked back up to Ari. If this first encounter goes well she might just let him in on her divination secrets to explain her knowledge.Though for now she rather keep it to herself. He seemed rather friendly and Genevieve was in need of friends that weren't dead or feline. "What do you think? "

Rather than send her question to Ari she instead turned to look at the girl observing them. ""Would you like to join us? I don't bite, and he certainly doesn't either"

    "So cute...."

    Amara Colt

Everything seemed to be going well between the two. A simple friendly exchange. Nothing to die for. Amara was mentally debating the right time to leave the scene, when the woman suddenly glanced at her. Yes, at her. Not through, over, or under her. But directly at her. Maybe my invisibility cloak is rubbing off. She thought with a slight curiosity. Normally people didn't recognize her presence. But it seemed to be as Amara questioned earlier. This woman wasn't the average person. There was no doubt about it that the woman was more aware than others. And that could indicate she sensed spirits as well.

Amara believed spirits were constantly occupying the same space as humans, but on a different plane of existence. Like a thin veil. As long as you were aware of something, you could see things that others would normally bypass. Amara liked to think of herself as residing in that fragile rift between the realm humans see and the one spirits reside in. Choosing to bring herself closer to the two, she walked silently up to them. She didn't care to join anything or anyone, but being here in this woman's presence was electrifying. And now that she stood closer she could feel the energy radiating off of her.

I wouldn't mind if you guys bit....And truthfully she wouldn't. But the words never made it out of her mouth. Instead, the cat stole her attention. "So cute..." She spoke, her voice soft and slightly angelic. Contrasting her outward appearance.

Eleanor (Ellie) May
Ellie laughed at Warren's reaction about his cooking. "Is his cooking that bad?" she asked him but it was more a rhetorical question. Ellie listened to Warren talk about his site, recalling several of his image and videos he had posted. Ones from the clinic, as Sam worked on Saber from what I remebered, or the ones at the pool party the complex held for 4th of July. All of the pictures were amazing, which lead her to imagine them in a show room along side other famous pictures.

The sound of another customer approaching drifted he attention to them. She looked at the man and little girl for a second before she recalled seeing them. "Oh, right! You must be Steve and Little Jodie," Ellie smiled and extended her hand to Steve, "It's good to finally meet you. I was in such a rush since I wanted to get to the beach in time to work. I was looking after a friend's kitten before I left." She gave a nervous laugh before she notices her best friend, "Lexi! Come meet your new neighbors." Ellie allowed them to introduce themselves before asking them, "So, what can I get for you guys? Oh! How can I forget, my name is Ellie May."

As she worked on orders, he overheard Warren ask about her coming by to the bar. Before she could even say anything in the matter he was off. Ellie continued on the order as if nothing was going through her mind, but it was clear that she was thinking long and hard about what she wanted to do. One thing was for sure, her smile was much brighter if that was even possible, but the thought of Ian being there made her want to say yes, but then what. What would she even say to him, other than her normal greeting they had in passing. Come one, El... Ian is way out of your league...

Alexis (Lexi) Stone
Lexi drove the elevator up to the lobby from the parking garadge below the complex. As the doors opened she quickly made her way to the cafe wanting to get dinner and head up to spend the rest of her time with Samson. "Ellie, how's work going for you? Oh, Ello, my name is Alexis Stone," Lexi answered in her british accent coming through as she introduced herself. She offered her hand to the attractive man, "It's good to see new faces in Suncrest." Getting her ususal cesear salad and a fruit smoothie, to go, she turned to the little girl.

"I love your outfit!" she announced, "Did you pick it out did your dad? Either way, you must have a fashionable bone in your body." Lexi gave them a small smile before she realized something. She began to dig through her side pockets of her work bag, which held her current commission and pulled out a hair clip she was working on. It was a simple heir ribbon, in dark autumn colors with a small pumpkin holding the ribbons together. "Well, I don't see myself making more of these, but I think you would have a better use of it, instead of it sitting in a drawer with all the other hair clips I have made," Lexi announced as she crouched and pinned the clip on her blond hair, "Well aren't you a pretty Pumpkin Princess."

She got up from and turned to Steve, "I hope you don't mind. I tend to make small ribbons from time to time for my niece." Ellie brought up her order and she quickly paid as she continued, "Apparently she hates pumpkins this year... It was nice meeting you guys. Since we are neighbors, my unit is 503, in case the ribbon breaks. I wouldn;t mind fixing it for her." Before she was able to leave, Ellie called out to her, "Hey do you mind joining me on a ladies night... I don't really want to go alone..."

"Sure where are you heading?" Lexi asked and got, "Dierfiur Bar..." Lexi a bit shocked she gasped, "Eleanor May, going to a bar!? Has hell frozen over?" Ellie crossed her arms in an offended manner, but Lexi stopped and answered, "Fine, I'll go. Call me when you head out." With that, she gave a final goodbye to the Freelings and headed to her apartment, where her kitten awaited her.

"Sur-" Steve was about to answer when he was cut off by the young man realizing his camera's battery was dead and running towards the elevator. For some reason, the whole display reminded him of a scene in Akira where Kaneda, voiced by Cam Clarke in the Streamline dub he'd grown up watching on VHS, moans "Oh, no... Battery's busted!"* It took everything in him not to burst out laughing. Clearly, Jodie thought of too, because she gave him a knowing smirk. Right that second they were met with a young woman.
"Yep, that's us all right." Steve said with a grin while shaking the woman's hand. He'd swear the people here had a bubbly energy that was near-contagious.
"Nice to meet ya, Ellie. I don't know... I guess we'll have your best pepperoni pizza. Cafes have that... Right?" Steve had to admit his knowledge of cafe food wasn't his strong suit. This was one thing they'd never taught him about in school. Granted, they never do when you're getting your master's degree in psychology.
Soon, he was being met by another woman, this one with a British accent, and, he noted, not much shorter than himself.
"Hi." he responded while shaking Lexi's hand.
"Thank you. I did." Jodie replied with a friendly smile. The outfit of a T-shirt, blue jeans and sneakers was typical of Jodie. She'd made clear her disdain of dresses and how they were difficult to move around in. She wouldn't wear them after the one time. She'd expressed a similar disdain for sandals and flip flops. She could often be seen climbing trees and doing other things normally expected of a boy rather than a girl. She'd once beaten up the three school bullies, all of whom were male. Before Jodie knew it, Lexi was placing a hair clip in her hair.
"Thanks again."
"I don't mind if she doesn't mind. And it was nice meeting you, too. We're in 505." he responded while she left, presumably for her apartment.

*I just couldn't resist. It's the first thing I thought of when I read that.

Aubrey Graham
Aubrey could sense the glares coming from Spook, but could do nothing more than just ignore them at this point. He watched as Spook too, asked the girl to spend the night with him and some friends, holding back a scoff. He took it as an insult, countering his own invitation with one of his own, though, once more, he'd successfully managed to keep his anger in tact. Aubrey just clenched his fists, squeezing his nails into the base of his palm. Soon enough though, the silence that filled the elevator had vanished with the arrival of another stranger, someone Aubrey guessed was also a complex resident. She had a lively attitude that made him smile, releasing the tension in his chest. He couldn't help but look up to the girl now. Aubrey furrowed his eyebrows, making a playful frown at Yuna's teasing. "I'd rather not count how many, the number never ceases to end." He replied with a flash of his teeth, his perfect smile revealed once more. "What's in the drink?" He asked, looking down the tropical mixture Yuna had in her hand, "Exotic."

"It's your lucky day," Ellie smiled, "This cafe is known for it's everchanging meals through out the day." She pointed out the locations that the pizzas are located and continued, "Everything is cooked fresh and anything left over for the day is sent to a near by shelter. So, would you like one slice of two. And any drinks?" Ellie pulled out her note pad to send to the kitchen and waited to write down their order.

Ivan Hamnet Hancock
Ivan was dressed in a nice in his causal outfit, as he walked about his apartment. He had decided to join his friends to go out drinking, well he was just going to drink water, but be with them none the less. As if the universe was broadcasting his plans to his mother, his phone was ringing. "Zdravstvuy, mama. How may I help you tonight?" he greeted. He could head her smile through he voice as she greeted back, "Zdravstvuy, moya dorogaya. I wanted to hear about your day. Off to go out with your friends, like always?" He sat on his plush couch, between his two huskies, "You of all people should know that I am restricted to go out and half fun in public."

He could hear her laugh, but not at what he said, but to someone. He sighed and asked, "And you have a guest... I'm getting off, mama." That caused her to call out to Ivan and say, "Moy syn, don't hang up now! We just started talking. How is your love life? You know you are not getting younger. It's time for you to settle down with a lovely girl and start making heirs for both families." Ivan sighed. Here they go again with the talk of settling down, I am 25. "Mama, you know that I like men as well. I'm not going to marry someone I do not love. I got to go. I have paperwork to look through. Dobroy nochi, mama." With that, he hung up and got up from the couch. His two dogs looked up at him as he did and waited for the magical words to be uttered. "Fine, let's go to the park," he finally announced.

The sound of their nails on marble flooring, filled the main area of the apartment as they got ready to go out. Ivan leashed them up and they headed out to the dog park, out back. He sat on a bench, letting the two huskies run about in the dog park, and made a call to Damien. "You win, pick me up in half an hour and we can go out. I'll just be you DD for the night," he announced and quickly hung up the call without letting Damien say anything else.

Camila Seaside
The room was dark as she walked in. She had just locked every door and window before she entered the single room that stayed locked at all times. Inside the bedroom was several computers as they waited for her to use. This room was the coldest room due to the amount of tech that continued to work at all times. In her warm pajamas he sat down and turned on the screens. The room lit up by them, as they revealed camera feeds, news reports, and many others programs that allowed her to moniter. It wasn't hard to set this place up, but it was somethign that she kept to herself.

She could make out the paparazzi still waiting out front, Ellie working at the barista bar. Mr. Nightfall working at the clinic. She could even see the front gate of the Seaside Manor. Camila was an observer, but it was all for the information. To think, the ever loved Camila Seaside, was one of the strongest women of the city, was collecting information. Every night she watched, but it was something that slowly began to grow tired of her. Normally she would allow the system to run itself, but she wanted to find something on her own.

Her twitter feed was flooded with pictures of her and Aubrey, which she didn't mind. If anything it helped her image to be seen with someone younger then the men that her mother was setting her up with. She didn't know what was her obsession in having an old man to marry when she was already wealthy from her profession. Love was overrated for her, after her last boyfriend. Let alone her first girlfriend. The controversy behind that was off the roof, which only lasted a few days until the focus was brought back to her family, with the death of her brother. Since then, it was the rise of her new movement. The moment to make her family name right again.

Her brother died from an overdose, with made her little sister go into a depression. Her mother was soon found in an affair, but yet father stayed with her. She soon found out that they had an open relationship. Her siblings were just her half-siblings, while she was the only one born between the two. He family is a mess, it was corrupted, and she wanted it to stop. When Shadow of Secrets came to light, she sought them out and she got a new alley to her mission. Now, she sits, waiting to fix whatever mistake her family made once more.

"Would you like to hold her?" Genevieve smiles. Amara's soft voice like music to her ears. "She loves meeting new people." Her hands go to gently scoop the kitten out the purse and hold her. The kitten meows, a bit crossed from being taken from the warm spot she had in the purse. Socks looks at Amara and tilts her head to the side. Genevieve holds the cat out for Amara to take.

~Marco Galbo~
Marco.jpg

Marco jumped from his sleep from the abrupt sound of something loud opening, hitting his head against the crate cover above his head. Groaning as he rubbed his head, it too the drowsy young man to remember where he was, and why he was there. Upon looking around, he was laying on a pile of apples (most eaten) within some kind of wooden crate. Small beams of light glimmered from the crate as something a opening from the back of whatever room he was in. As Marco grabbed another apple and took a bite out of it, memories began to refresh his brain as a wave of relief coursed through his being. He remembered what he was in, and why he was in here to begin with; though the memories weren't very cheerful, he was glad to be alive nerveless.

A light chuckled turned into a joyful laugh as Marco covered his face with one of his hands. Voices could be heard from outside the crate he was crammed into as two men stepped into the room to stark taking out crates. Perfecting to avoid another needless confrontation, Marco decided to wait for the moment to sneak out of the crate and away from the men. Though he assumed that he wouldn't be as much in trouble if he got caught by the two men taking out crates verses the folks he was originally running from, Marco stuck to his gut and peaked through one of the cracks of his crate, and waited for the two men to leave the room with crates in hand. Once the coast was clear, he used all of his strength to push the crate cover off, carefully stepping out of it to then push the cover back on it. Then, he tip-toed out of the truck, but when the men returned to get more crates, Marco quickly blended into a group of pedestrians, walking by with his arms wrapped behind his head. The young man smirked, proud of himself for making a flawless getaway as the men climbed back into the truck to rub their heads when they saw the condition of the crate that now contained mostly-eaten apples.

"Marco, you are a goddamn freak of nature." The young man said to himself, wearing a messy white, buttoned shirt with blue jeans as he walked. Unknowing to Marco, though, he was in the city of Seaside, a.k.a., one of the richest cities in the state of California. Not only that, but the young man was coincidentally two blocks away from a cozy establishment called the Suncrest Complex...

Before long, they were at a table eating.
"This is actually really good." said Jodie.

"That's my girl! Gimme five!"
The father and daughter shared a quick high-five and returned to eating.

"Mommy loves you too Matthew," Embry chuckled, "I'll see you next week baby...okay sweetheart...bye bye." The line clicked, letting the young woman finally set her phone down. She leaned back in her chair, stretching her arms as she did. How long had it been since she had seen him last? Two months maybe? Reguardless it was too long, and she couldn't help but feel elated about him living with her soon. Her parents didn't like the idea, wanting him to stay with them, but Embry put up a major fight and eventually got them to agree.

With a small groan, she leaned back up to her desk, nearly done with thebtrancript she was working on. It was a courtcase, grand theft auto. And while she would never admit it, Embry got quiet a few good laughs from it. The only thing that would stop her from finishing was Lance. It was inevitable, he was getting restless. But, he seemed to know she ws busy and managed to wait until she was done to nudge her and start whining. "You want to go for walk don't you?" He barked. "Go get your leash," Embry chuckled as she stood. Walking out of her bedroom after her dog she headed toward the door where he was already waiting. Embry couldn't help but chuckle, giving him a gentle pat as she slipped on her flip-flops.

Attaching the leash to his collar she grabbed a black hoodie putting it on over the thin t-shirt she was wearing and opened the door. Lance was very excited, like all dogs were when they were going outside. Embry decided elevators took to long, and quickly headed over to the stairs. It didn't take her ling to get to the ground floor, Lance nearly making her fall a few times. That wasn't an issue though Embry couldn't blame her doggy friend. Briefly they stopped in the lobby, Embry debated on if she wanted to order take out or get someone from the care for dinner. Or make something, but she'd have to go to the store for that. She wasn't given much time to think however as Lance was getting more impatient, so Embry hurried outside to the dog park area.

The long walk just from the complex to the cafe definitely overwhelmed Wendy a bit sooner then she thought. Luis was 'On-the-job' today so Wendy had a free day all to herself. The talks through the door, rattles of silverware on plates, Wendy assumed she had found herself at the Cafe. It all smelled wondrous to her as she took her first steps forward, an unmapped land with many more challenges for her to overcome. Obviously in her head, this sounded super awesome, but as soon as her focus divvied, she bumped into a man's chair, almost falling over herself.

"S-Sorry! I-I didn't, uh, I didn't see, where I was going. . . h-heh. . ." She spoke, looking a bit away from the man. Snarky, the fellow returned to his table and continued to shrug Wendy off. Now this threw Wendy completely for a loop. Was the door still behind her? Or. . . Wait, is the light hitting from a different angle now? Her face fell. . . She placed a hand in front of her and paced towards where the counter would be, brow furrowed, as she focused into all the puny and magnificent powers she definitely did not have. A few more steps and her hand landed on a smooth surface. The counter! Yes! She fist bumped the air and hoped there would be someone there so she didn't look to stupid. She cleared her throat and kept her head slightly tilted, almost like a dog, as she spoke.

"I-Is anyone, like, in front of me right now? Heh, I just, like. . . Well, came from my apartment to like, uhm. . . This is the Cafe, right? I'm not completely dumb, am I? I know I'm blind, but did I miss by a long shot?" She continued speaking to the barista that may or may not be in front of her or the other side of the cafe, "O-Oh, you know I'm probably just rambling, h-heh. . . Is like, eh. . . I'm Wendy, pretend person or not pretend. I'm. . . well, obviously like, not normal, heh."

She finished off her mini ramble and scratched the back of her head, confused, but still smiling like a goon. What has she gotten into and how does she fix it?

"How long have you had her?"

    Amara Colt

The moment was a little unreal to the woman. But she wouldn't shake off this company of strangers. Such an opportunity only came every so often; and would be used for novel material. As the woman gently held out the cat for her to take, Amara remained stiff for a few seconds. Perhaps seeming hesitant to most, when truthfully she was calculating all the ways the exchange could go wrong.

Finally deciding to go for it, she reached out to accept the fur ball. Enveloping it into her own arms, the cat struggled slightly until it eventually settled comfortably against her chest. Amara found animals to be interesting, but no more or no less than humans. The cat's fur felt smooth against her skin, warming her usual icy body. The other man remained silent for the time being, not to Amara's concern. But she didn't prefer to do the talking. "How long have you had her?"

The question wasn't of the most intriguing. Nor was it especially imperative for Amara to know. But sometimes you had to ask unnessessary questions in order to land yourself on the road towards the hidden treasure. Because life is a lot like a treasure map, only the X is invisible. She kept her eyes focused on the cat's flickering gaze.

Tucking his leash around and under his collar, Embry patted Lance, "Not to far," She told him, before the happy dog ran off. Pulling her phone out of her coat pocket because she received a message, she wasn't able to see what it was or shoot was from as a male voice caught her off guard. She jumped a small bit, startled, by his voice rather than his dog, and smiled. "Oh, it's okay. Lance would do the same thing...if he wasn't distracted by that poodle," Embry said with a small chuckle. But something about her deamor changed as he stepped closer.

He shouldn't take any offense to this, her background caused her to be cautious, especially towards men. "Well, Ivan, it's nice to meet you. I'm Embry Fonteyn," She said with a pleasant smile, albeit a little forced. "And that's because I just moved in a week ago from the opposite side of the country," The young woman said with a chuckle. There would be a pause as she called Lance back who had taken a ball. He came back quickly dropping it for her. Embry picked it up, and threw it for him. "And before you asked, I may like older men, but you may be a bit to old."

Eleanor (Ellie) May
Ellie smiled and waved her over, even thought she was getting the feeling that she might be blind. "Don't worry about it. Totally understandable, no need to say sorry. If you come over to the your left, we have our desserts. We have plenty of muffins to choice from. Any paticilar flavor you were looking for?" She asked trying to make Wendy feel at home. As Wendy was about to answer, Warren dashed into the Cafe, clearly out of breathe. That only made her laugh at the stated that Warren was trying to make himself look.

"Warren, take a deep breath!" Ellie laughed, "Here let me get you some water." Turning away from the two she took out a bottled water from one of the fridges and walked back to them as they talked. Once they found a pause, Ellie handed the cold bottle to him as she reassured, "On the house, Warren. Just take it easy." As they continued, Ellie leaned on the dessert display as she watched Warren continue with his innocent charm.

"Ouch..." Ivan laughed at the comment on his age, "I didn't think being friendly to my neighbors was consitered flirting." He covered his mouth as he let out a deeper and louder laugh as he tried to handle the rejection. "Wow, well," he began to calm down, "I do apologize if I made you feel uncofortable. I just have to ask, how old do you think I am? Now I feel selfconscious about the way I look."

Ivan couldn't help laughing again. I wonder if this is what his mother meant by starting to settle down. I must look much older than I really am. He was about to continue his conversation when his phone when off, "Oh crap, I forgot I was going out." He answered Damien's call as he quickly told him the code to the garage downstairs and told him to wait. Ivan turned to Embry and said his goodbye, "As much as I would like to stick around and have a good laugh, I have somewhere to go. It was really nice to meet you, Miss Fonteyn."

She couldn't help but laugh a little as well, "Oh I didn't mean anything rude by it. Older men have been hitting on me since before I knew what it meant," She explained awkwardly. "You didn't make me to uncomfortable, that's just a variation of my normal response." Embry really hoped she didn't offend him to much, She knew how some men handled rejection first hand. Then came his question about his age. "Oh...um, thirty-two?" She answered meekly, "I'm probably way off," She added with an awkward chuckle.

Then as soon as he started talking he told her she had to leave. "Oh, um, well it's been a pleasure Ivan! Again, I really didn't mean anything by what I said. And I hope we can mayne talk again soon," She said with a smile, trying to smooth it over. "Have fun with what ever you're doing."

Wendy spun around to the new voice and stared right past his shoulder, a coy smile on her face. She half shook her head as she closed her eyes as she spoke. "I-I mean, sort of. This is my first time outside, heh. Like, Dad's always been overprotective and I like, just turned 18 so. . . H-Heh I just wanted a muffin." She made a move, expanding her arms out in a sort of over dramatic way. She brought one forward to find where Warren was standing, brushing across his chest to his arm, and with a quick nod to herself, she turned back towards the last place she heard Ellie's voice. She was obviously to timid to move.

"U-Uh, like. . . I wanna say the good one, but I don't know what's good." She finally responded to Ellie, staring past her completely. "I mean, the last one I had, I think was like, banana something? It had a really distinct taste, I remember." She furrowed her brow, as if to summon the name out of the air. "Hrmm. . . Banana, banana, banana. . ."

She placed a hand on the counter and followed it towards the left until the touch changed to glass. A pause, she tried to find Ellie again, now aware she changed angles. "U-Uh, c-can you say something really quick so I. . . I know where you are? I-It's just like. . . A safety thing." She quickly said, looking at the very top of the counter.

"Oh, sure," She answered Wendy's resquest to speak out, "If you want I can get you a box of of six muffins you can try from. Maybe you will find a flavor you might like." Ellie took out a box, ready for her decitions. She looked at the display and began to name some of the flavors, "Well we have a Chocolate Lovers muffin, Plain muffins, Marble muffin, red velvet, blueberry, Plain Chocolate, and many more. Did any of those peek your interest to try out?"

"Don't worry about it!" Ivan called out to her as he walked back to the building, "It's always good to get an ego check now and again." Ace and Luna pranced around Ivan as he walked backwards, hoping to play a bit more with him, but Ivan quickly calle dout once more, "Oh and I'm not 32. I'm 25!" With that he guided the two huskies to the elevator as they waited patiently without their leashes. It didn't take long for him to get to his apartment, and drop the pooches. Giving himself a once over he took the stairs down to the first floor of the parking garage and meet up with Damien.

Nick couldn't help but smirk slightly when Saren went along with his suggestion, and the fact she'd mentioned his absolute favorite type of movie was a nice bonus.

"Yeah, I've heard it's pretty good and being a big horror fan, you knew I'd have to see it before all the spoilers ruined any chance of a scare."

Nodding slightly, he brushed a stray lock of raven black hair from his cheek. Saren looked somewhat bewildered, and he hoped that it wasn't completely obvious to anyone else.

While he knew very little about Aubrey, the guy seemed like a potential player, and Spook had been hurt so badly by one of his kind that he couldn't bear to let the same thing happen to anyone else.

Another girl joined them, and while Nick didn't know her, she certainly made an impression with her brazen confidence and rather fancy looking drink.

"Yeah," he replied to her sudden greeting, not really caring to make a fuss over someone he'd never met.

He did, however, watch with curiosity as she approached Aubrey and circled him like a hawk searching out prey. Her strange words would've made him laugh if he hadn't been surrounded by so many people, as Spook had always found blatant flirting cheesy and hilarious.

Shrugging, he leaned against the wall once again, hoping the elevator would finally reach its destination.
