Skye Egintza
E9rVlSSl.jpg

Skye glanced about her head turning looking at each individual person as they talked or entered. Her almost puzzled looking expression lingering on her face as if she was somehow trying to process what it was she was seeing. It was rather strange seeing other people use magic. Being so sheltered it wasn't exactly as if she was that experienced around people. While her home life the use of magic wasn't a big deal the short time she spent outside it she knew it required being very careful to not actively demonstrate it in front of others. It was something she nearly did without much a thought before on several occasions. Having to find some isolated place in order to open a rift for her to go to her room gave a strange sense of adrenaline risking someone catching sight of it, though also a feeling of guilt.

As she stood there seemingly dazing out shifting into a philosophical debate in her mind about the use of magic a new foe appeared before them. It was the Guildmaster that fully shifted Skye back to reality to glance at their rather furry foe. She blinked looking at them with a mixture of fascination and disgust. Not very cute at all. If only they were a bit more fluffy and less angry looking maybe they would be more appeasing to look at, pet, and maybe even give a nice big hug. It wouldn't exactly change the fact they caused damage to the place. That's something that clearly wasn't acceptable. It would be a hassle having to hire someone to fix up the walls to an acceptable fashion each day. Though perhaps with a size reduction with the other changes they would be even cuter and maybe you could get to a point where the damage they can cause is minimal enough its not a....

Skye shook her head brushing aside her thoughts. Her gaze shifted to Horace noticing his expression. It didn't seem as if he had purposely set this encounter up. At the very least even if he did plan to test them with the werewolves it clearly was much sooner then he planned for it. It was best to treat it like an actual threat. Blinking Skye suddenly pressed her finger against her pinkie again snapping it as she took hold of her chair.

"Ah! One second please!"

She spoke out as she lifted the chair shuffling it in. She pushed past the curtains concealing the interior though placing the chair just inside. Not the most ideal place to put it being right near the entrance hidden away but she didn't have enough time to shuffle it back in place and try and straighten it all up. She popped back out shutting the rift behind her nodding her head. Her eyes focused on the threat as she began to touch her thumb on each hand between all her fingers except for the one which housed her room already knowing what was inside. All were empty except for one housing.... a cardboard box? When did she put that in there? Oh probably that day wehn...

She shook her head again trying to focus herself once more. She didn't have much at all she could use against them directly though it didn't mean her rifts couldn't be useful if they could manage to get them inside and trap them either. For now though the most she could really do was provide support!

"From the heavens, O' great one, smash my foes!"

She spoke trying t obe dramatic as if somehow planning to scare the furred beasts into believing some diety was on her side, though more so it was just her hoping to act to distract them for the others. She pressed her thumb against her left middle finger suddenly snapping it. The rift opened up this time directly above the werewolves focused more on the middle one. Her mind focused upon the cardboard box suddenly the brown roughly one and a half by four feet and 3 feet tall box suddenly came flying out the top opened as the rather light box fell straight down to strike upon the werewolf's noggin.

Jane Axton & Tora
Jane grabbed one of the cupcakes and casually munched on it as the others introduced themselves. She stayed silent, maintaining an aggressive demeanor, as she waited for everyone else to talk. Fate decided to intervene and not everyone had a chance to verbally show off what they can do.

Jane was mid bite when a loud crashing sound came from where the door used to be. She swallowed funny and started to cough. Thinking she was choking, Tora started to pat her back.

"I'm fine...," Jane growled. She quickly cleared her throat, then gave the three werewolves a death glare. "Mangy mutts! That was the door to our guildhall!" Jane clenched her fist, obliterating what remained of her cupcake.

Tora quietly positioned herself in front of Lysander and Skye, flashing them a sweet smile as her fingernails extended into claws.

Jane stepped forward, in front of the group, and passed by Horace. She cracked her knuckles and kept a steely gaze on the werewolves. "If you aren't going to fight, step aside." The wording was harsher than her meaning; she was just trying to tell him to take cover or hide. "Oi! Anyone have silver?" she yelled.

Silver or no silver, Jane was ready to fight. Iron scales materialized on her body. She changed one of her hands into an iron lance; taunting the werewolves with a flick of her fingers.

Mounds_ on Twitter.pngCedar laughed awkwardly, bewildered by the intense eagerness that was focused on them. They fiddled around a bit with the cufflinks of their sleeves; concentrated on the smooth planes and rounded edges of the jewelry pieces. On the feel. By the time they managed to pull themselves together, the girl's attention was diverted elsewhere and someone else was speaking to them instead

They didn't have the opportunity to reply to him either, however. Not when there were far more pressing matters at hand.

Cedar stumbled back at the drop of a hat, heart racing a mile a minute. They wondered if their hands were shaking. It felt like they were, but as they quickly glanced down, barely glimpsing them in the haze of adrenaline, they saw they were perfectly still. They took a deep breath, in and out. Come on, Cedar, you can do this. You know what to do. Just like at home. A slip of paper was swiftly slipped out of one pocket, the seemingly unintelligible script drawn onto its surface glowing with an unnatural light. Crushing it into a fine powder between their fingers, they brought the dust up to their lips while the other hand lifted up their helmet just enough to expose their mouth... and blew.

The particles swirled and embedded themselves into the werewolves' fur, and for a short while, nothing happened. Until something did. Thick wooden vines about three inches in diameter suddenly sprouted, wrapping around their bodies and tightening their hold as they went. Hopefully this would hinder them long enough for the other members to get some hits in but... The young mage nervously glanced at the restrained creatures. They weren't sure how long the vines would last against them.

"I don't have any on me!" They yelled back.

Sybo Crerd

soma-yukihira-shokugeki-no-soma.jpg
Sybo stood off to the side and quietly observed his new guildmates. He watched as they discussed strategies for rebuilding the guild. He was just getting ready to introduce himself when some wolves destroyed the back wall of the guild hall. "Huh?" Sybo turned to look at the three large beasts snarling and growling as they stood amongst the rubble of the wall. "Wolves? Hey, wolves!" As if everybody couldn't already see, the young mage took it upon himself to state the obvious. Seeing as two guildmates already stepped up, Sybo also stood alongside them with a smirk on his face. With the way Sybo thought, he was truly amazed by his dark-haired crewmate's ability to seemingly summon a box out of nowhere? He didn't really understand but he thought it was cool.

"Silver?" A bit puzzled by the female redhead's sudden odd question. He shook it off and focused back on the situation at hand. They had already made their move and the wolves seemed to be locked in place. "Nice..." Sybo dashed towards the middle wolf, pulling back a fist. A magic circle began to form in front of his fist. "...Person?" Because Sybo didn't know the person's name, or rather forgot, he just referred to them as person and thought none of it. Thrusting his fist towards the wolf's gut, he'd release a powerful punch. If it landed, it would send vibrations through the wolf's entire body. Even if he failed to land the hit, a wave of force would still race towards his foe.

Guy

Guy jumped out of his seat and entered his battle stance when the werewolves suddenly crashed into their peaceful meeting. His eyes darting between the werewolves and the portal that brought them in. It was his first time seeing the so called monster portal, and to his horror the portal seemed to be able to appear anywhere without warning.

The others were also seemed to be surprised but despite their situation they were able to launch a somewhat coordinated attack towards the werewolf with the vines and... cardboard box? Anyway, Guy didn't waste much time as he charged forward, magic circle appeared on his palms and engulfed them in blue aura. Another person was already attacking the middle wolf so he set the wolf in the left side as his target and launched an uppercut towards it. The attack looks simple but but it had more than enough power to create hole in a wall, something which Guy actually didn't want to happen since that means more repairing later, but he shouldn't be picky at emergency like this.

Diana
Just when everything seemed to be going well all of sudden there was a loud crash. Diana looked towards the entrance to see three large wolves creatures. "What in the-" Before Diana could even finish her sentence Peter appeared infront of her and two guns quickly appeared in his hand. He stared down the creatures he then dashed forward and started firing at the wolf on the right.

Mindy
Mindy sat the boxes down on the table so people were free to come get some when they were ready then sat down. She was excited to tee everyone's magic but they were interrupted when they heard a loud crash. Mindy quickly stood up and turned around and her eyes widen when she saw three monstrous wolves standing at the entrance of the guild hall where the doors use to be. People were quick to take action and Mindy quickly did as well. She use requip and changed into Melody Mage. Mindy hoped that maybe she could do some type of damage with her voice. Mindy breathed focused in on her three targets and let out a terrible ear-piercing sound.

Shane Strom
pKGpH1q0FXH9quDHUmKhR0nDhkCgd8QbsQWCoBe_NtdBFcR1wua-8VLe28AgWae2aw3S4vdY-8XkOiygYqOzCFuqTax81MclvHtEzFUYqFm8enlbc7uEA1QxeGdQ9xcLKs0t0lbP

Prior to the tearing down of the guildhall wall, the hairs on the back of Shane's neck stood on end. He wasn't sure what it was, but at least one of his senses was picking up something odd. It was almost like a gut feeling. His eyes gravitated to the wall moments before it was destroyed. Although he hadn't been sure what was going to happen, Shane had steel nerves and wasn't phased by what had happened. Due to his profession, he'd been in his fair share of tight situations. The unfortunate part was that there was a bunch of young magicians all eager to prove themselves. Although this wasn't a situation one could really plan for, Shane felt the execution was quite a mess. However, something did catch his ear as he drew his revolver and fired a shot at each of the wolves. Due to the distance of the shots and the fact that he couldn't really place them on target due to a bunch of the new guildmembers rushing in blindly, the bullets weren't likely to take out their targets. Added with the other attacks, though, he figured it would still be good compound damage.

What he had heard while doing this was someone calling for silver. It seemed like a pretty logical request, but it was clear that no one else was doing anything about it. Grabbing at his ammo belt, Shane pulled out two silver bullets and -- with a controlled breath -- he flicked the silver bullet at the iron dragon slayer, calling out, "Silver? I gotcha right here!"

"I don't have many, so make them count!"
he added. As the fight progressed, Shane realized they needed to end this encounter quickly. He didn't want to waste his other silver bullets just yet, so he figured it was time to reveal a bit of his magic. He loaded a silver bullet into his revolver and spun it until it was in the right position. He aimed his revolver at the far wolf and a magic circle materialized in front of the barrel. He activated homing shot to ensure the silver bullet found its target. He chose the farthest target due to the fact that the other guild members hadn't crowded around that one. The homing spell ensured the bullet honed in on its target and then ended with a small explosion. Shane's hope was that he could deal with at least one of the wolves, if not two with this approach.

CenterThe center werewolf was completely unaware of the box that materialized over its head and it was completely unaware of gravity bringing the rather lightweight object closer to its head. However, it was rather fortunate in that the box didn’t drop directly on its head. Rather, the edge of the box hit the side of the wolf’s face and then the box fell rather harmlessly behind it. A growl emerged from the creature as its head turned back to investigate the disruption and as it’s body shifted to claw the box to pieces with what appeared to be minimal effort. However, this distraction of attention left it completely exposed to the barrage of random magical dust that suddenly brought out vines around it’s form, holding it in a single spot as it’s struggle began to escalate.

The werewolf was, therefore, unable to do much as a magic circle appeared in front of it and as a fist crashed into the creature’s furry chest. The impact visibly collapsed the wolf’s chest inward before a wave seemed to spread out from the point of contact and sent the wolf flying backwards into… well, into whatever unfortunate building happened to be across the street from the guild hall considering the werewolf was standing directly in the entrance.

Hopefully it wasn’t an important building. Vines were certainly now the last of that creature’s concerns, though.

LeftThough momentarily caught off guard by the box that came out of nowhere, the werewolf on the left was more able to immediately notice the vines that suddenly materialized around him and his claws easily tore through them as muscles that almost looked human rippled across it’s chest demonstrating the massive strength the beast possessed. However, this preoccupation with destroying the vines proved problematic as well as helpful for the opposing forces. It was unaware of Guy’s incoming punch until a split second before it impacted. Now, given that it was a werewolf, a split second was enough to do something albeit not enough to entirely avoid being damaged.

One arm rose up in front of the incoming attack and took the brunt of the blow. Though the wolf remained standing on its two large feet, it’s feet were pushed backwards, tearing at the flooring of the guild hall and digging up dirt with long claw-like toenails. In response to the pain of it, a loud growl and the scent of rancid breath escaped the creature, echoing loudly throughout the building. It extended it’s arm fully, putting more distance between itself and guy, and then its other hand reached up, attempting to grab Guy by the scalp with claws that would no doubt dig in and draw blood.

RightThe werewolf on the right probably had the best of the situations they’d all been given, but that didn’t mean it was perfect. Like it’s friend on the left, this beast noticed the vines and managed to tear its way through most of them without much trouble before it noticed a new problem it had to address. Little pellet like things were hitting it in the chest and simply bouncing off. Of course, regular bullets couldn’t possibly do much damage to a werewolf. As many of the mages had already guessed, silver would eventually be necessary. However, that didn’t mean it could just allow these pellets to continue barraging it. Werewolves are egotistical creatures… or, well, this one was. They couldn’t just let something continue to bother them.

It lunged forward, straight for the pesky rabbit that was firing these bullets, only to realize that its foot was still caught in the vines that Cedar had created. This resulted in the werewolf landing flat on its face, crushing a table in the process. The reality of it was that it was quite a humorous sight. However, that didn’t mean it stopped there. Once the sound of Mindy’s scream entered the air, the wolf went absolutely berserk with rage as its arms and legs started swinging violently, sending blade-like claws flying through the room without concern for who was around. When it pushed itself to its feet again, which it managed without much trouble, it started running even further into the guild hall in a random zig zagging pattern swinging at and destroying every object in front of it. Though the pattern seemed random, if uninterrupted, the creature would wind up swinging its left claws straight for the mage that had incited its rage in the first place - Mindy.

Whether luckily or unluckily for the guild hall and those around the werewolf now stampeding through it, the werewolf was completely oblivious to the homing shot currently following it’s rampage. Just before it reached the target it wanted to eliminate, a bullet crashed into the werewolf’s fur, this one actually penetrating before erupting and sending dead werewolf guts flying in all directions. Technically, it did hit its target, but not until after death.

All Together Now!Both Horace and Lysander were also taken aback by the sudden loud screech and sought out the source of it. They both quickly covered their ears, which was perfectly acceptable for Horace because he had nothing else he really needed to do beyond stay out of the way. For Lysander, though, it was much more bothersome. Though the youngest mage of the new guild wasn’t directly being harmed by Mindy’s spell, she was being prohibited from doing anything helpful because all helpful things required her to use her hands at least a little bit. She needed the movement to focus the spell.

That same spell would continue to create an annoyance for all the mages around trying to focus on using their magic to fight.

It affected the werewolves as well - the other remaining beast having since started it’s own rampage very similar to the one that collapsed in the center of the hall with Guy being directly in its path.

Jane Axton & Tora
"Thanks," Jane said to Shane, catching the silver bullets he had tossed her. She was about to eat them, when Milly started to make a sonic screech that only made the werewolves rampage.

Jane hunkered down and crossed her arms. "Iron Dragon's Shield!" Her arms transformed into a shield as big as she was. She blocked the slashes flying toward her new guildmates; the ones behind her anyway.

Veins on her face bulging, her pipes helped her be the loudest thing in the room as she yelled at Mindy. "You're just making them mad, kid!"
~~~
Thanks to her cat-like ears; Mindy's screeching was also hard on Tora. As much as she wanted to protect the youngsters, the ringing in her ears was hard to ignore. She stood there with her hands on her ears and a grimace on her face.
She noticed one of the werewolves, in their rampage, rush toward Mindy. She forced herself to move, sprouting her wings and flew as best she could. She hadn't reacted fast enough. Luckily a silver bullet killed the werewolf. It was too late to stop now though. She found herself in the splash zone as her momentum pushed Mindy out of the way
"Nya...," she sighed with relief. She quickly nodded her thanks to Shane before turning toward Mindy to check on her.
~~~
One down, two to go...or it would have been two if one of them hadn't been knocked across the street. It'll probably won't be gone for long.

She popped the silver bullets into her mouth, eating them like candy. Her fist shifted into an iron club. Absorbing the properties of silver, she managed to give the club a silver tip.

"Gihihi," Jane laughed. "Iron Dragon's Silver Club!"

The club rabidly extended from her arm, flying toward the werewolf trying to get its revenge on Guy; aiming center mass.

Skye Egintza
E9rVlSSl.jpg

Skye watched as the box fell from the portal hitting the side of the wolfman's face. Not quite what she intended but it seemed to serve as a good enough distraction. Her eyes shifted over to Tora seeing the cat woman step forward positioning herself in front of her and Lysander. She turned her head at the mention of silver, shaking her head. Its possible she had some possessions that might be though it wasn't exactly stuff she would be so easy to discard... even if it was in a form able to be extracted enough for use. She wasn't the type to really put value on jewelry. She had some but it was never a large amount. Nice custom fit clothing was a much larger priority for her.

What had managed to throw her off over her random thoughts was the sound based magic from Mindy. She held her hands to her ears cringing a bit at the sound. Focused towards the wolves it didn't change the fact the sound was quite audible and rather unpleasant. She slowly removed her hands adjusting to the noise not quite as hindered by it as the poor cat lady seemed to be. She shook her head out trying to drown out the sound a bit. It seemed the metal lady was going for the one attacking Guy. Unfortunately there wasn't much she could do for him, it was best left to Jane to deal with.

The teen instead focused her attention towards the door where the one werewolf had been struck out of. Remaining a she was she lifted her hand up readying to snap her finger as soon as she might see the wolf charge in. It was hard to say if it would be doing any such thing anytime soon but if it would she was ready to summon a portal in front of its path in order to catch the unexpecting creature inside. She wasn't certain if it would be able to figure out how it could get out from the inside or if it was capable, but it would at the very least delay it briefly and causing it to break out with its back facing outside the place. If it remained inside it just meant she could open the portal with the creature placed somewhere secure where it couldn't break out or have it open up right in front of the other Magi ready to give it a nice beating as soon as it might step out of the portal. At least if she ended up having to do that, just standing ready to act just incase for the wolf to run through a doorway it wasn't expecting to a pocket dimension.

Tye Veiland

As passengers were disembarking off a train, one of those passengers, a young man with platinum blonde carrying a moderate sized rucksack over his shoulder, let out a groan that seemed to embody a feeling of simultaneous tiredness and relief. Reaching into his jacket pocket and rummaging around for a moment, he pulled out a cigarette and a light, placing the smoke stick between his lips and lighting it in a single fluid, practiced motion. Inhaling deeply and holding his breath, he breathed out through his nose, a surprisingly fragrant scent reminiscent of vanilla beginning to surround him instead of what one might expect out of regular smoke. Taking another moment to reorient himself, and double checking that he was in the right town, the man nodded to himself and strolled out the station towards his destination, that being the guild newly founded by Horace Goodkin. Truthfully, the ambling magician didn't expect much to come out of this venture, certainly not anything that would make up for him having to cancel his shows for the foreseeable future, but the potential connection to the Goodkins was too much to pass up. And if something really did come out of this? Well, even better in the end.

Still, Tye took this time to take note of his surroundings, appreciating the size of the town, not too big, not too small, seemingly average in all possible ways, if not for the singular fact that they were to be hosting for the first legitimate guild in over two centuries. He expected for either tourism to increase, if this guild happened to have any sort of positive impact on the situation, or angry mobs to come for them with pitchforks and fire if the guild continued in the age old tradition of immense property damage. Though, he supposed, that drug that some mages took was a good counterbalance to that, not that he every agreed with it or thought about taking it. Best keep that thought to himself, however, given who was supposed to be leading the guild.

When he was only down the street from the supposed location for the guildhall, hoping that he wasn't too late already given that he'd been delayed from travelling by last minute obligations, he heard the sound of fighting, which was only further supported by the sight of what he could only assume to be a werewolf of some sort get sent rocketing out of a completely demolished front door into the building across the street from the hall, followed by an ear-piercing shriek to follow shortly afterwards. Wincing ever so slightly to himself, and rubbing his pained ear, he stopped in the middle of the street and surveyed the situation. Either this was an elaborate trap set up by either the government or Goodkin to catch someone off guard, hopefully not him he thought his tracks were covered quite well, or someone heard of this little get together and wanted to kill this plan in its infancy. Honestly, he gave it a good fifty fifty, even if the attackers were supposedly werewolves. Stranger things had happened throughout history, after all. Sighing to himself, and deciding to finish up with his stalling, Tye tossed aside his spent cigarette, and placed a newly lit one in his mouth. As he strolled closer and closer to the guild, the smoke leaving the cigarette seemed to exponentially grow in size and follow him, until it looked like he had a carpet of lightly tinted smoke reaching up to his ankles surrounding him. Stopping between the, now absent, doorway and the building where the werewolf crashed into, he took one glance inside to see a group of people, and two more werewolves, though one seemed to be dead and the other seemed to be handled quite well. Understanding the situation well enough for now, he straightened up and willed his magic through the smoke blanketing the street, and from within the smoke figures rose up and coalesced into picture-perfect copies of himself, scattered about the street in different positions but all staring at where the werewolf was sent. Pulling out a deck of cards and beginning to shuffle them, he stood and waited for the reemergence of the wolf.

Millicent Arkham
Taking another drink at the ensuing chaos she could not help but chuck at the ensuing chaos before recalling as the resident carpenter now she would likely be having to fix that door. She moves to cup her chin in deep thought while observing the scene but her thoughts may not be what many would assume.

*Hmm well the door does need replacing but with the general design...maybe go for a Neoclassical with white birch? Hmm or maybe Baroque? That would actually make hiding some damage a bit easier if done right and can have areas stand out more*

Her head turns slightly to the walls and woodwork then back to the fighting, noticing that additional damage was being done even outside the hall. Well if she was subcontracted maybe she could pick up a paycheck and bill the guildhall at a reduced rate, that means they could write it off on taxes as well maybe. She was just about to take another drink when she was broken from her musings by the bottle itself shattering from the Sonic screeching, along with several others behind the bar as she turns around. Reaching a hand out almost pleasing her eyes look pleading and distraught "No..Not the Rum!....." holding the motion for a short while, her lip quivering before slamming a hand down on the bar and snapping around somewhat furious. She appeared behind the wolf fighting and rather than using some complex magic she instead just slammed a open palm towards its face and clenched tightly, the hand covering his eyes as she did in the vice like grip before twisting violently. She knew they had regeneration and Silver would be needed to actually kill one of course, but given she was annoyed? The Wolf was about to wish she did actually have Silver.

Not giving it a chance to recover she would spin around and take hold of the scruff of its neck and waist from behind before picking them up and slamming them directly into a pillar with both hands, the one holding the waist becoming an elbow to the crotch as it fell, only for her to start stomping its head on the floor. The sheer level of violence being displayed was likely somewhat shocking given her previously calm demeanor, though the fighting style did seem focused on raw power moves and sheer ferocity. What was worse was there did not seem to be any actual magic behind the attacks as of yet. "WHAT....AM....I...SUPPOSED....TO...DRINK...NOW!" each word was punctuated by another attack.

Wolf OutsideThe werewolf that was sent flying across the street from the guild hall was far from finished, a fact that became evident as it pushed itself back onto its feet and brushed itself free of any debris from the building its body had recently demolished. The way it sought to remove any splinters appeared to be an almost human gesture, though no words accompanied the movement. It just wanted clean fur. A sideways glance was not spared towards the mage who was late to the party and neither did the werewolf attempt to return to the guild hall to finish the work it began with its partners. Instead, Tye would just barely make out the words, “Mission accomplished, for now.”

A portal-like thing appeared behind the creature and it just fell backwards into the opening before the hole in reality closed up leaving no sign that the wolf had ever been there in the first place. Well, the destroyed building remained, but that was all that there was.

Wolf InsideFor the smallest segment of time imaginable, the wolf felt as though it had a trophy, as though it had claimed victory, as though nothing could ever stop it from taking whatever it wanted. Though the moment was very short lived, the expression of triumph would be carved on its face to the end of time because once things started to go bad, they didn’t stop at bad. They just got worse and worse from that point forward.

First a club of silver smashed into its torso, the spikes built into it digging through fur and drawing crimson droplets which would no doubt stain the floor of the guild hall. The wolf was unable to retain its hold on Guy who instead was loosely tossed through the air. Lysander moved to catch him and although she wasn’t strong enough to support him, the young girl did manage to position herself in such a way that would soften his landing. It was the best she could do. Pain flooded the wolf’s system and he saw red everywhere that his eyes turned.

Then, another of the mages appeared behind them. ‘How did that get there?’ he would’ve thought had he been capable of thinking. However, he was just a werewolf. His thoughts didn’t matter presently. Any further thoughts he might have been capable of were turned into scrambled mush when the individual now behind him absolutely smashed him against anything she could and then settled for outright pummeling his brains in. Silver plus force was enough to render him absolutely lifeless in the end.

The AftermathSometime, in the midst of all the fighting and chaos, Horace Goodkin had managed to place himself in an out-of-the-way location… under a table, to be precise. While he knew that some members of the guild would likely see him as a coward for hiding in such a manner, to him it was efficient. After all, even though he was capable of fighting didn’t mean that he should fight in this particular battle. He was still needed for multiple organizational purposes when it came to the formation of their guild and so an untimely death would not have been appropriate. Additionally, if he let the mages handle this round of combat, it allowed him to better assess what everyone was capable of so he could make plans for the future with some knowledge rather than with just speculation to back him up.

Once he sensed that it seemed reasonably safe to come out, Horace did so without a moment’s hesitation and then he surveyed the surrounding environment. The guild hall was still standing, which was a positive point, and it didn’t seem like many had been injured in the fight. One was unconscious - Guy - but he wasn’t dead. That was another positive note. Briefly, Horace did observe the building across the street. That wasn’t such a good thing.

Letting out a rather dramatic sigh, Horace finally addressed the group. “Well, that certainly could have gone worse. It seems, from my observations during that… situation, that one thing we as a team could all use some work on is restraint. While using a lot of force did end the fight, this was a situation where we had the equipment necessary to end it without such force. I think our friends Shane and Jane demonstrated that quite nicely.” He tossed looks of approval to both of them, hoping that simply naming them and offering praise would be its own reward since he didn’t have much else to offer at present.

“That, though,” he gestured to the destroyed building across from the guild hall, “was a little unnecessary.” His disapproving gaze fell on Sybo. “Nonetheless, it cannot be undone now. I have to go speak with the town’s mayor to see what he would like us to do about that bit of damage so I’m leaving the beginning stages of repairs for you guys to work on as a collective group. Make this place a home in whatever manner you see fit. Given that you’ve all fought together now, I would hope that a simple project is a good exercise in continuing teamwork.” Although he seemed hesitant to leave them all alone, Horace knew he ultimately didn’t have much of a choice.

When he walked out of the guild hall, he did look over his shoulder just once in mild concern.

Arlen isn’t usually a person who would wake up late- on one of the most important days of his life, no less. Perhaps it was his excitement, overuse of his magic the previous night, or a mix of both. At any rate, he decided that it was a priority to get dressed and head straight to Horace’s guild. Arlen didn’t want to miss one second of action. He’s missed 567 million enough.

Unluckily for him, he’d arrived just as all the action was over. Just great. Arlen entered at the same moment Horace headed out— he heard something about using a lot of force and having the required equipment. The guild leader also mentioned something about a shine and jane doing well. Upon closer examination of the condition the guild was in, it seemed like they were attacked by a species of wolves. “On the very first day the guild was created?” He thought silently to himself. There was an uneasiness, perhaps a conspiracy brewing on his mind. Who— or what could possibly have plotted this? How would have the werewolves known where to attack? Arlen couldn’t answer all of this by keeping quiet, so he decided to make his presence known.

“Greetings, everyone. Apologies for the tardy entrance. The Dark Lord put a heavy curse on my eyelids this morning. I see that he may have did that to the guild, too. What happened here? Someone woke up on the wrong foot and turned into a beast?”

"That’s what you get, you darn wolf!" Sybo watched as the large fur-covered creature was sent flying out of the Guild Hall. As the redhead approached the downed monster, he couldn't help but smile his attack landed. He was glad he was able to pay the wolf back a little bit for the damage it done. But Sybo was not done. "I'm gonna clobber you!!" Now he donned a serious expression. His brows were furrowed and he was visibly upset. His fists were balled up and veins begin popping out in his neck and forehead. Off to the side, Sybo could spot a man. "Huh?" The man seemed to have just arrived. Choosing not to pay any attention to him, Sybo looked back to the wolf and waited for him to get back up. That's when the guy who had arrived performed what seemed to be magic. "Huh?" Scattered in the street were dozens of copies of the mysterious man.

"WOW!!!" Sybo watched in awe at the simple display of magic, clearly amazed. "Alright!!!" Now, with both mages prepared for battle, Sybo focused on the wolf and cracked his fingers. Just as the creature was getting up, he could have sworn he saw it mouth something, but he couldn't make out what. What Sybo could make out, was that it was getting away. A portal opened up behind it and it escaped through it. "HEY! HE’S GETTING AWAY! STOP!!!" Charging forward without a second thought, he extended a hand toward the monster, running as fast as he could. Just as he was about to lay his hand on it's fur, it vanished and all he grasped was empty air. "Huh? It's gone!!" Sybo looked at his hands, which had nothing in them. Then he looked at the vacant space the wolf once was. "Huh? Did they give up?" Finally he directed his gaze towards the other man who had made clones of himself and was standing in the street. Not really expecting an answer, Sybo returned to the Guild to make sure there were no more attackers. Just as he reentered, the Guild Master's gaze fell on him and Sybo, as his resting facial expression, donned a stupidly blank smile as he stared back at the Guild Master as if he were an innocent child.

Mounds_ on Twitter.pngCedar sunk down to the floor as soon as the fight was over, burying their helmet into their knees. That was... definitely more excitement than they've had for years. Their hands trembled and their breath stuttered in gasps. Heart still pounding with adrenaline, they carefully extracted another slip of paper from their pocket—only blank this time. A clean canvas that was perfect for their particular brand of magic. Right, when the going gets tough, make some spells.

What was it that the guild master said again? The masked individual thought to themselves for a while, feeling a bit delirious. Their eyes fluttered under the cover of their mask as they tried to blink away the fuzziness that tried to overtake their vision. Redecorating... was it? They could do that. Grasping the pen that, surprisingly enough, stayed hanging on their lapel, they started to scribble.

It was only their experience in the action that kept their hands from creating crooked lines as they drew. Graceful strokes and rigid streaks were what defined their magic. In the presence of something familiar underneath their fingers, they could feel themselves calming down.

Skye Egintza

Skye watched what was unfolding keeping at the ready to quickly create a rift. She couldn't help but notice Horace cowering away under a table blinking at the sight keeping her focus primarily on the wolf inside and door as it seemed it was little in terms of a threat at it was beaten down into a pulp. A bit of a relief that it seemed taken care of. The other wolf outside however didn't seem to of returned at all warrenting some suspicion on her part though it seemed as if it wasn't going to be an issue as the seemingly cowardly guild master shuffled out from under the table trying to pick himself up as if he had been up the whole time. Quick to speak up as if some instructor before trying to dart out. Was he really going to go to sort things out or was it more an excuse to not clean up the mess?

Lowering her hand finally feeling comfortable the threat was taken care of. She couldn't help but notice as someone new seemed to arrive fashionably after all the trouble. She tilted her head lifting her hand up after some hesitation providing a rather small wave in response. Perhaps it would of been better to give a verbal response but considering the recent commotion she felt like it might be not the best place to just come out with a greeting. The girl lifting her finger up tapping against her chin as if in thought. A rather blank expression on her face as if she had drifted off into some sort of mental wonderland. Finding reality once more after a brief pause she shook her head looking around a bit awkwardly realizing no one else was really speaking up. Perhaps caught up in all that happened and the fact the guildmaster had practically left them as is to fix things up. As if snapping to life she nodded her head.

"Oh! Hello new people! Well... we all really are new people here... I guess people who showed up after or during the commotion. I guess to put it short there was ah... um... rodent issue? I suppose they don't really count as rodents... they were furry but its not exactly..."

She muttered looking up in thought as if trying to explain it seeming to drift off. A blank expression painted her face once more as her eyes gazed off seeing beyond the walls in front of her looking upon some mythical land none other might be able to see. Just as quickly as her dazed expression seemed to come to be she seemed to stir back to life. She shook her head lifting her index finger up as if finding her words once more.

"Bitey things came in and caused a ruckus and it was taken care of! Now we need to... I suppose fix this place up... make it nice? Though it does seem like a bit of a disaster beyond hope..." She spoke seeming to catch her negative comment shaking her head.

"An easy fix with a little teamwork! Though I can't help but feel the guild master ran off as to shirk off having to do some work himself... but oh well! I'm sure there is plenty that we can do together, and we got to see a little of what we are all capable of! Oh! The new people here, what might your names be?"

She spoke shifting topics a bit in the process back to what she had first started talking about looking towards the less familiar faces. A bright smile was on her face trying to exude positivity once more as she stood with her hands behind her back keeping upright in front of everyone.

b2a0ca36c12266f72ebf0cda6fb74c60.pngPeter went to move quickly when the wolf began to lunge towards him but luckily his foot was still caught in the vines. Peter soon realized that his bullets weren't going to do any good he was going to need silver bullets. Diana watched the chaos that was happening and it was all happening so fast Diana wasn't quite sure what to do next. That and Mindy's 'singing' made it hard to think or really react fast enough. That's when suddenly she felt someone pick her up and jump out of the way of the wolf that started rampaging through the guild. Diana looked up to see it was Peter who was concentrating on the wolf.

The fight soon came to and end and Peter finally put Diana down. Peter was quite unpleased with himself he should of known better of course he would of needed silver bullets. After Horace spoke with the group and left Diana walked up to the dead werewolf that had went rampaging because of Mindy and looked at it for a moment. "If these are actual werewolves does that mean they were human?" Diana said to herself. Diana turned to look at the new faces that had arrived when she heard Skye speak up and then she looked around at the guild hall. "Where to even start...."

Mindy stopped and and looked towards Jane then at the rampaging werewolf. Unfortunately though she didn't quite react fast enough to move out of the way. Though she went to try anyway and just as she was about to try and jump out of its way the wolf was shot and fell dead. But then right after the wolf fell something crashed into her and Mindy got pushed out of the way and fell on her back. Mindy slowly opened her eyes and lifted up her head to see Tora who seemed to be checking on her, Mindy sat up and rubbed the back of her head. "I'm.....Oh!" Mindy eyes widen and as she looked at Tora's ears. "Oh I'm so sorry! I didn't damage your ears with my screeching did I?!" Mindy didn't think about the fact the others probably had a hard time with the noise she had made.

When the fight came to a end and after Horace left Mindy, who was still on the ground looked around the guild hall taking in the damage. Maybe using that magic wasn't a good idea.....Her eyes landed on the boxes of cup cakes which were surprisingly ok. Mindy sighed in relief glad that didn't go to waste. She then looked around at everyone unsure what to do next though....Horace did say to start fixing the place back up but no one really seemed to be talking accept for Skye.

Jane Axton & Tora
"No harm done, sweetie," Tora replied in a motherly tone. She wanted to give Mindy headpats, but the Exceed still had werewolf blood on her. Tora put her hands together and closed her eyes, smiling sweetly. "Just be more mindful of your surroundings next time, nya." After kindly delivering some advise, Tora started to walk over to Jane.
~~~
"Gihihi," Jane puffed herself up after Horace had praised her. Her club rematerialized into her hand and she dropped the iron scales that had been covering her body.
She arched an eyebrow as Horace started to walk off. Maybe he really should check on that other building, but she felt like he was forgetting something. "Oi, Master!" she called out to him, cupping her hands around her mouth. "Where can we find supplies!"
While waiting for a reply, she noticed Tora walking up to her. The Exceed turned her body so that her shoulder bag was facing the Iron Dragon Slayer. "Could you get the first aid kit for me? My hands are a little contaminated."
"Sure..."
Jane did as the Exceed asked.
"First order of business, we should designate a space as the infirmary. Thankfully nobody looks badly injured, but some of us could use some cleaning up; especially me, nyahaha." She giggled softly. "You," she pointed to Millicent. "You seem quite knowledgeable about construction. Look over the damage and come up with plan. Jane, make some nails with your iron, if we can't find any." She started to address the rest of the group. "I could use some help moving Guy into a bed or someplace away from activity so he can rest. The rest of you could look for supplies, start disposing the werewolf remains and clean up, or wait to be needed. It wouldn't hurt to familiarize yourself with this building, this is going to be our guildhall after all, but stay close. Hopefully the werewolves were our only surprise today..."
Tora smiled at everyone. It almost felt like she was back at the orphanage and taking care of the youngsters. "Any objections Master? Questions?" It was possible that Horace hadn't stuck around, but she wondered if he would have wanted to delegate some things, or if he had purposely left things vague so the mages could do some team building on their own.
Tye Veiland
Snorting once to himself, Tye wordlessly allowed his smoke to dissipate the moment the werewolf fell through the portal-like structure that appeared behind it. From the brief sentence he heard it speak, paired with its method of retreat, and presumably arrival as well, Tye quickly figured that the presence of these wolves was looking very likely to be due to his second guess, that being someone's desire to deal with the guild before it even started. Huffing out a small sigh, Tye slipped the deck of cards in his hands into one of the many hiding spots he had for them on his person, turning to face the aspiring guildmaster that was Horace Goodkin. Ambling towards him, Tye gave the man a small smile, cigarette still hanging loosely between his lips, and even if the gesture truly didn't reach his eyes, they crinkled slightly nonetheless from the action. "What a crazy way to start the first legal guild in centuries, eh Goodkin? A more paranoid man would think this was a setup of some kind, and my oh my why ever would that be?" While passing by Horace, Tye reached out to lightly pat his shoulder, pausing mid-stride and leaning closer to Horace as he did so, speaking in a lower tone. "Not sure where exactly you're running off to, but the little doggy said something about accomplishing a mission for now then disappeared into a portal. Make of that what you will." Lifting his hand from the man's shoulder, Tye began ambling towards the guildhall, only pausing one last time to glance over his shoulder and call out, "My advice though? Turn around, and go back inside." With his final piece said, Tye finally entered the guildhall for the first time, and glanced around at the spectacle that it had become.
And what a spectacle it was, huge swaths of the room demolished, and the intact sections didn't look all too up to date in the first place. Looking at the state of the place reminded him of when he used to perform at seedy, backalley bars and clubs, surrounded by the worst and most desperate society had to offer. What a world it had come to, that such a state of being was attributed to what was supposed to be a ray of hope in dealing with what could only be called an incursion. Nevertheless, that was a topic and problem for another time, and certainly not something Tye was going to deal with immediately. Sweeping his gaze across the intact remains of the hall, Tye spotted a small section where he could sit that was unperturbed by the commotion and carnage that had befallen the hall. Moving towards it without seemingly a care in the world, he tossed his rucksack on ground next to the seat and all but collapsed in the chair with a soft groaning sigh, closing his eyes and leaning back, the dim embers of his cigarette briefly flaring with each of his inhales, and small wisps of smoke exiting between his slightly parted lips with every exhale. Now normally he'd likely move to introduce himself and make acquaintances with his to-be guild members, he was honestly too tired after the train ride here to muster up the effort to reach out. He'd just have to properly introduce himself later, preferably when Horace came back with good news. And who knows, maybe they already knew about him, or even seen of his shows. Stranger things have happened, after all.
A Few Whispered WordsAs he headed out of the guild hall with his goals well established in his mind, Royce had to turn and address a couple last minute things for members of his new guild. First, he addressed Skye’s remark with a simple, “It may seem that way, but truly I have our best interests at heart. What good does repairing this place do if the city tries to kick us out right away? That’s what I’m going to try and prevent.” It seemed like a fairly logical thing for him to be doing in his mind, and he also knew that nothing anyone in the guild said was going to change that plan. After all, he doubted any of them had nearly as much experience in politics and diplomacy as he did; those were two very much needed things when it came to starting a magical guild for the first time in this many years.
Next came Jane’s request, which was easy. “There’s supplies in the back. A door is behind the bar that leads to what I was able to gather.” While he doubted the wood, tools and metal would be sufficient for the task at hand, there was certainly enough there for the mages to get started and then he could acquire more supplies on his way back after meeting with the mayor.
Under the clear impression that he’d dealt with everything he needed to here at the new guild hall, Horace was about to head out when he found himself stopped by a new individual, presumably another mage there to join the guild. His eyes narrowed at the mention of someone having completed their mission for now, but he didn’t act surprised. Surprise was a rare emotion for Horace Goodkin. Whenever things changed, he knew that it was best to react as though that had been the plan all along. At least, that was what his experiences guided him to believe. Neither, though, did he miss the accusation clear in Tye’s tone and words and that brought anger into his gaze.
His voice was low, too low for anyone but Tye to hear with the exception of perhaps the dragon slayers. Horace had quite honestly forgotten about them and their enhanced hearing. “I understand that you may have been out of hearing range at the time, but as I’ve just explained to the rest of the guild, there is a building that was destroyed that does not belong to us. This city was under the impression that if that happened, we would be leaving without delay so as not to damage their home further. However, moving the whole guild now delays saving Fiore. I cannot let that happen and I’m the one who’s now left with negotiating the situation with the mayor. Unless you have years of political savvy I’m unaware of?” His eyebrows raised, knowing full well that he would recognize Tye if Tye really did have any political know-how.
“I didn’t think so,” he answered his own question. “If you’d like to help, though, keep them from destroying anything further while making repairs.” That was the last statement Horace Goodkin left with. Then he walked out and did not turn back.
Can We Build It?Lysander was more than willing to help move Guy into a comfortable bed. Unbeknownst to the rest of the guild, he would eventually wake and leave of his own accord, unprepared to face that extent of danger again anytime soon. Perhaps he would someday get stronger and then choose to return, but for now, no one would know. These things were anticipated in the creation of a new magical guild, though.
Once that task was completed, Lysander returned to join the rest of her guildmates who were working on rebuilding the guild hall. Seeing the new bodies that had joined, she greeted them promptly. “Welcome! We’re all working on repairing this place which unfortunately seems like it will be needed fairly regularly. But it’s fun! Or, it can be. I’m Lyz!” Her words were mostly directed towards Tye and Arlen.
Turning to see what everyone else was doing, she pointed out a few different people. “Uhm, she seems to be the construction lady so she can probably best give directions if you don’t know how to help,” Lysander had gestured to Millicent. Then she pointed to Tora and explained, “And she’s… uhm… she’s like the guild mom. Yes, guild mom. She’s good at starting plans and stuff.” Looking around, she tried to think if there were easy ways to explain anyone else and Lysander’s mind came up blank. Well, it was a start.
“Jane might need some help bringing in stuff from out back if you’ve got muscles for it. I… well, I don’t have that.” Just as she was about to get disappointed in her own abilities, though, Lysander had a different idea, though. Her hands clasped together and her eyes squinted a bit in ferocious focus before an orb of light appeared in her hands and then she pushed it towards the ceiling greatly brightening the workspace that everyone had to use.
A smile adorned her expression before she announced loudly to anyone who wanted to listen, “I can make lights for people that need them!”
Hi guys! Sorry for the brief delay in posting, but we’re still heading forward full force! Since it took me a while to post again, the posting expectation is adjusted a little bit. Everyone has one week from this post to post again and I’ll throw little bits and pieces up as needed to keep things moving. Let’s make the guild hall a home for everyone! When it seems people are getting bored with construction, I will timeskip to beyond that and we’ll move forward with plot!
