I guess an introduction is in order...

G'evening everyone. I suppose I should introduce myself as all the ones before me have done, so here's hoping this one won't be so boring of a read:

My name's Broken Hollywood - though I have no preference in what you'd like to call me as long as it's not offensive, heh. I'm no one special but I do have some experience to offer. I've been roleplaying for several years now in many, MANY forms whether that be other forums, IM programs, video games, and plain ol' email and text messages. Now some of them were better than others, sure, but I think that gets the idea across.

I'm 29 years old and reside in the northern US - a city girl at heart, though I was raised in the deep south. I'm sweet, but mouthy at times, and I prefer to speak with more words than less (as I'm sure you can tell).

As far as roleplay goes, I've become rather unsatisfied with the places I've been going and so I seek another start. Here I am! I enjoy the more modern, slice of life roleplays, however, but that's because I have had very little experience in magic or fantasy stuff. I mean, I've done animal roleplays and medieval ones, but nothing along the lines of magical abilities/merfolk/elves/you get the idea. I guess I lack interest? Who knows. Anyway, I like the deep psychology stuff.. things that make you go "Wha?" or "I didn't see that coming!" Give me something to gnaw on and I'll give you a delicately carved treasure to ponder over.

So this is my introduction. I hope it makes my journey and goals here pretty clear. Don't be afraid to say "Hi" to me and possibly point me in the direction of like-minded people. I'd really love to meet you guys and perhaps make some great friends along the way.

Cheers!

Ello Hollywood. You seem like a very interesting person. I'm also from northern US. What state are you from, if you don't mind me asking?

Hello. And welcome to RPNation. I'm Steve. I'm interested in all kinds of role play. I prefer the darker ones such as murder mystery or zombie apocalypse. I'm also into fantasy as I'm a huge fan of game of thrones, elder scrolls and dragon age. xD I'm also a huge death note fan! I'm 26 from the UK. If you're interested in doing a role play together then by all means send me a tag. I'm currently working on a murder mystery set in a secluded mansion, if that's something that would tickle your fancy.

Hey there! Well I was originally from Alabama but moved up to Indiana a couple years ago. Let's just say it was a huge, huge difference than what I was used to, heh. Don't get me wrong, Bama had it's good qualities - though they were pretty small. Indiana, on the other hand, was like a whole different world that I've come to really, REALLY love. The atmosphere, the weather (OH MY GOD THERE ARE 4 SEASONS HERE!), snow?!? Yes please!, the availability of all the places you need to go only being so far away, always something to look at while you're driving as opposed to ... well... peanut and cotton fields, the list goes on and on. The first winter my husband and I were here, we drove through Louisville, KY to go to a Trader Joes (they don't have those where I'm from) and it was snowing so hard outside and I was all " O.o " but I loved every minute of it. Snow was a mythological creature back in Alabama and whenever people heard it was supposedly, might, possibly, could show up - everyone ducked and covered and closed up shop in fear and terror. So yeah, much different.

How about you? Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?

Hey Steve! Thanks for throwing me a welcome party :) No really, thanks for saying hello, heh. Sounds like you and I have a lot of roleplay scenarios in common, which is always cool. I love the Game of Thrones series and Elder Scrolls was and is still amazing, though to be fair I've only watched both of those and never really played them. What can I say, I'm a voyeur instead of an action kinda girl - well when it comes to video games ;) I think a murder mystery game could be interesting so I'll throw you a - tag? - and see where that goes.... if I can figure out how to throw you a tag xD

Thanks again and hope to meet more of you soon!

I'm from Washington. (The state, that is. I don't know Why I have to specify that, But everyone asks.) I'm visiting Japan right now though. Back in Washington, We didn't really have much of a summer. Too much rain. In fact, talking to some people back home, it sounds like We didn't have winter this year. Everyone's complaining about not getting snow.

Wow Washington? I've always wanted to visit there. My Dad was stationed in Tacoma when I was born and we lived there for like 4 months maybe? We moved to Alabama from there to be with family, but I've always wanted to go back and see where I was born. I've heard stories of my parents travelling to Seattle for this or that and the people that lived in their apartment complex with them, etc that's really made me want to try to relive that part - well not relive.. I mean I'd be a garbling baby then, but you get the idea.

Either way, that's pretty cool. I think it's funny they didn't get any snow because the northeast US got bombarded. It's weird how we all say the world is so small but yet at each end of the US alone, we can see complete and total differences in not only weather, but livelihood.

Yeah. I don't like Tacoma. Too much damn traffic. I actually lived there for a couple years when I was a baby. My SO lives in Seattle, so when I'm in Washington, I drive from longview to Seattle often to visit. That's three hours. Through Tacoma and Seattle traffic. Not fun.

LOL I had no idea the traffic was like that there. I have never been back so I find that completely funny. Since I'm right on the KY border and about 5 minutes from Louisville, I know traffic woes for sure. Sometimes it takes us and hour and a half to go 8 miles?! That's crazy.

But really, driving 3 hours to visit your SO is really sweet of you. I know LDR's can be tough. I've had my fair share of them too. It's good that you're trying to stay in touch though, that's important. Wow, look at me going all Dr. Phil on you - forgive me xD Anyway, it's cool that you've been where I was born too :)

I guess it is a small world, huh? xD

If you ever want to talk more, feel free to shoot me a PM. I could Tell you a little about Tacoma if you are curious.

No problem. I'd be happy to collaborate with you in creating a murder scenario if you like. I already started one, but I think it's flopped :'(

Sounds like fun... I'm gonna grab some lunch and when I get back I'll try to reply to some more posts to get my post count past the limit for newbies. Should only be like 3 or 4 more and then I'll shoot you a PM or something to see what we can come up with and what you've had so far.

Talk soon :)

When I told you to message me, I didn't realize you weren't able to yet. Would you like me to send you a message to start off?

Alright sounds good. It's just after 2pm for me at the moment and I'm sorta working in a 3D modeling program at the moment though I'm checking back often to see what's going on. I'll get those posts done hopefully soon and then shoot you a message :) Hope you enjoy your shower and dinner!

Yes please! I'm trying to figure out all the in's and out's of the site but I'm still getting used to it, heh. I should be able to send messages now since I've reached 10 posts but I'm not really sure how to do that yet? *scratches head*
