Jake tested the handle. The door was unlocked. He slowly opened the door, not knowing what was behind it.

(Well it was mostly military vehicles. There were only a couple of cars probably belonging to Lance or Elya. Maybe some of the other researchers?)

Max suddenly points the gun right at Jake, his finger pulling the trigger halfway before noticing who it was.


"Y-you're the one who saved me back there."

Jake jumped back when he saw the gun, putting his hands in the air, "Yeah," he said, "I was. That however, is a bit extreme."

Max nods in agreement, putting the gun into its holster.


"Why are you here? I'm guessing you want to imprison me?"

Jake shook his head, "Quite the opposite, actually. Nicholas and I are trying to find everybody we can to help us take down the organization. We have a safe house with supplies as well."

Max looks at him, confused.


"Why would you want me? Nicholas and I had you guys enslaved. I'm a criminal!"

Jake sighed, "Max, you obviously aren't killing me right now, are you? That means that you are useful. You've ran from the organization, that's all I care about. Though Nicholas still has beef with you, I'll keep him off your back."

Marissa held onto her seat and kept laughing as he sped up, blushing when she heard her stomach rumble. "Oh... well... what do you like?" Oh my gosh Marissa. Really? She facepalmed without realizing and laughed nervously. "Uhmmm hungry? Nahhh. Let's just skip lunch." YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE.

Alex laughs. "Hey listen,you made me hungry. Now we have to get something to eat. He smirks. "Now don't get me wrong if you don't want anything..." He looks at the road. "Fast food on the left, restaurant on the right. Were to?" @Talia xP

Marissa hadn't been to a restaurant in years. She smiled, "Restaurant sounds perfect." She thought about the fancy food, and her stomach growled again. Marissa was so embarrassed at this point, she just rested her head against the dash and sighed.

Max looks at Jake, before looking over at Raven.


"What do you want to do?"

Alex reaches for Marissas hand and entwines it with his. He continues driving.


"Listen don't worry about it. You're hungry. It's normal. I'm not going to love you any less just because you're human." They arrive and park. "Hold on." He walks outside and opens the car door. They then walk to the restaurant and he opens the door. They are then seated. @Talia xP

"I can explain everything when we are at the house," Jake said, "But for now, I don't know how safe this hotel is. You should come with us." He gestured with his head, "The girl too."

"We'll meet you down at the lobby. Just give us a moment to prepare."

Jake nodded, "Glad that you can," he said, closing the door and walking to the elevator.

Max watches as Jake walks out of the room. After closing the door, Max turns back to Raven.


"Seems we're going to join. If you don't want to, you have to tell me now."
