Fantasy Hunter's Moon: The Sin & Sentence [IC] [CLOSED]

Hudson was on edge like always as they stepped off the train into a battered landscape, looking to Jakob as he mentioned his reluctance to work with those demons. He decided to say nothing, as most everyone knew his opinions on the matter. All that he could do was keep up his vigilance for their inevitable betrayal. Yet what worried him was that whatever game these demons were getting at could be an extremely long one.

The arrival of Xager from thin air got him to pivot about, his fist wrapping about his sword's handle as he stared her down. Hudson soon realized that it was one of the 'good' demons and began to lower his guard somewhat. "Wonderful." he muttered.

Jakob looked a bit surprised by Xager's sudden appearance, not that he could complain about it, seeing her always meant new supplies plus the chance of requesting new things. "Hey there ma'am, you take some requests right?" Jakob approached the demon while also taking a box of shells from one of the crates. "...I've been thinking, can you get me a bayonet for this shotgun? Normally I don't like that sort of stuff but it might come in handy for the future. That's all for now." He then looked over at Vincent. "So, do you know what we have to do yet boss?"

"Greetings to you all."
Loque slightly bows to Xager as a greeting. "Greetings to you, Xager. I take it Azgon's up to his usual business?" she says, looking around. There's not much Loque really needs from the crates except some more stripper clips and bullets. She's doing fine on the rations front, very surprisingly, but she and the others will need as many bullets as they can carry since they're fighting trained soldiers now instead of random guards. She searches through them, taking any that will fit her rifle.

"How-dy," Inari says to Xager, mimicking the word from... someone. She couldn't remember who she heard it from first, maybe that succubus, maybe Jakob or Vincent. She heads over to the crates and starts sifting through them, hunting for any rice or things of interest. Inari glances back up at the demon. "Who we here to kill?"

"Greetings to you, Xager. I take it Azgon's up to his usual business?"

"Of course. His wrath is endless." responded Xager, folding her arms behind her back as she watched the group. "He was far to the south, overseeing an assault on one of Ethraeil's lieutenants. Word is they nearly killed them, but they got away. Now, he's on his way to Dis to report on the war to Taranoch." She shifted her attention to Jakob as he asked about a bayonet a moment later. "Check the crate full of shotgun shells. There is a compartment in the back of it that has five or so serrated ones with sheaths."

"Who we here to kill?"

Xager looked to Inari. "You all are here to sabotage and destroy vital weapons factories that Azgon's forces use to produce their weapons and ammunition. You also are to kill any and all weaponsmiths that you find. If you are successful, this will greatly hinder Azgon and his minons from acquiring new firearms and fresh ammunition. They will have to resort to using the factories in Abaddon, which are underequipped for large scale production." She then pointed to a crate next to her. "This crate is full of high-grade dynamite. Several bushels of it. Carry as much as you can, as you will need it to blow the factories and railways. The factories are twenty miles south of here."

"Ah, a little saboteur work is always exciting." Venextos remarked as he looked upon the dynamite. "How many of these factories are there in this region?" he asked Xager.

"Weapons you say..?" Wesley materializes near where Inari was, and this time. he had his hood down and his metallic mouth cover removed which he rarely does, revealing his grown out hair and his fangs. he walked over the crates to see what he could get while not breaking the conversation. "What type of weaponry are we dealing with here?"

"Two factories within close proximity of one another, and a railway hub three hundred yards from it. All three need to be blown up." she responded to Venextos, before looking to Wesley whom had materialized nearby. "Handguns, rifles, shotguns, machine guns, field guns, the works." she stated. She then tilted her head. "I hope you've some substance to all that flash, vampiric shinobi."

Jakob attached the bayonet to his shotgun, before looking at Xager. "Hey, Wesley knows how to carry his weight, believe me." He gave the young vampire a pat on the back. "otherwise he'd been kidnapped by a succubus already. He's doing fine."

Takato, arms crossed, nodded as he heard Xager explain what they were to do - dealing with the arsenal manufacturing of wrath, and those involved in it. The logic behind it was sound, sabotaging in order to weaken the battle against Ethraeil, and ensure further distraction. Though he had seen factories manifest in Adonia during his travels, he had personally only ever been to workshops in Redonia, so this would be a first for him. He wasn't entirely sure what dynamite was either, but from the sound of it, it was an explosive they would be using. This would be an interesting new environment.

"Those in those factories will likely be wielding firearms too, no?" Takato asked, wanting to be sure. While he hadn't fought against many firearm wielders, those that managed to get a shot off revealed to him that their projectiles can theoretically be quicker than danmaku in a given circumstance, and he wouldn't be able to charge into a room with multiple folks wielding guns.

"I hope you've some substance to all that flash, vampiric shinobi."

Wesley chuckled, "Oh believe me. I've been through hundreds of bandits and highwaymen trying to rob me while I was wandering the lands of Shoiya, None had the chance to tell the tale about me." he picked of a decent revolver from the crates and the holster and ammo for it and loaded each bullet into the revolver and put it right back into its holster

So looks like they were heading into a sabotage contract. Senya stood silently as Xager explained the details and pointed to the dynamite they were going to have to carry. Two factories and a railway. Though the chances they'll meet their shadow counterparts around there is most likely.

"Oh believe me. I've been through hundreds of bandits and highwaymen trying to rob me while I was wandering the lands of Shoiya. None had the chance to tell the tale about me."

Xager's blank expression didn't change. "Cute." she said bluntly, before turning her attention to Takato. "The guards outside will be using firearms. Inside, they will be using melee weapons as to not damage equipment."

The hunter had no need to grab anything from the crates considering the amount of canned rations he grabbed for himself earlier. Hudson did not seem terribly pleased to hear the arsenal of the demons they would go up against. Perhaps it was wishful thinking that Azgon's army would be using anything aside from modern warfare, and he was not extremely excited at the possibility of dodging bullets. Once they were indoors however, things would be easier.

"I'm not holding any of that dynamite." he piped up, gesturing at the flames chained to his body.

Demolition work. If only she had some bronze beasts and a few iron cannons with her, she'd level this place in a few days. She didn't know the power of this dynamite, but they looked pretty weak compared to the black-orb blackpowder bombs she'd seen in use a few times before. Both had fuses so the usage of it was simple. She hefted up a dynamite stick and examined it. "Looks like candle. This strong? Look weak like twig." Still, she grabbed a cloth sack of them and tied it to her own pack so that she now had a bundle of dynamite hanging from her backpack, protected by the elements thanks to the bag they were in.

Her eyes drifted over to another box. Guns. She preferred the art of a sword, but perhaps she should try to branch out for efficiency sake. The age of the matchlock was over, as she often forgot. She found some buckshot shells and shook them, hearing the shot rattle around, and she tossed it aside. Weak. Instead, she found some stout shotgun slugs. These reminded her of even bigger roundshot. Good for punching big holes into people. Pretty much all the guns were two handed or too big for her taste, but she found a large handgun looking creation with two barrels. The mechanism had little arms that snapped down to fire it, and the thing opened and closed from a latch on the bottom. Simple design, big bullets.

"I take this thingy with the big shot," Inari said, waving a sawed off shotgun around as she scooped slug rounds into a bag.

"Handguns, rifles, shotguns, machine guns, field guns, the works."
Loque places a hand over her mouth as her mind drifts off to think about all the various weaponry she might find in there that she can get her bony hands on. She's not a huge fan of guns, not as much as Hudson, but she found using them to be quite annoying as the flash and bang constantly irritated her. Though looking at her rifle again makes her think for a second. It's a good rifle that's seen action across many battles, true, but she's going to need something bigger and deadlier if she's going to continue sabotaging the Icons like this. If she's lucky, she might find a machine gun like that orc woman had.

Whatever the case, hopefully Azgon and his soldiers wont notice her grubby fingerprints on whatever boxes of weaponry the party wasn't able to demolish.
"I'm not holding any of that dynamite."

"Well if you're going to be a poule mouillée, I'll carry it." She takes off her backpack and stuffs a few bundles within it.

Hudson tilted his head at Loque, confused by the insult that was just used on him.

"Why the fuck did you just call me a wet hen?" he asks aloud.

He scoffs at the demon, shaking his head from side to side. "Didn't you just finish having yourself a cry session over some inane shit?" Hudson spits back, spreading his stance slightly. "I'm many things, but a coward is not one of them. Got that?"

"I'm many things, but a coward is not one of them. Got that?"

Riberta grunted nearby, as she dug through the dynamite crate. "At least you have that. Everything else about that personality of yours is pretty shit."

Hudson kicks the explosive away from him, hands still on his weaponry as he doesn't seem particularly fazed by it. "Don't be stupid. I've handled explosives before, I just don't want to cause any surprise explosions. If I were to kill you, it wouldn't be an accident." he replied, just to turn his head as Riberta spoke of his other traits.

"Really? I had no idea." the hunter adds rather sarcastically.

Wesley grabbed a few of the dynamite sticks and placed it in his pack. "Alright you two, save the insults for the enemy. You'll find it convenient once you're throwing those sticks at them and not at your ally."

Senya walked up to the laid dynamite on the floor after Hudson kicked it, picking it up out of being careful. She simply placed it into her backpack, heading to the explosives crate for more.

"If I were to kill you, it wouldn't be an accident."
"Of course, I've come to expect nothing less from you." Loque doesn't even turn her head to face Hudson as she continues stuffing explosives in her bag. "Just don't disappoint me if you think you have the balls to try it."
