"KILL IT!" Francis roared as he grabbed the fuel can once again and, this time, ripped the cap loose so that it began to foam over with the volatile compounds within. He then hurled the entire piece at the ancient vampire, sloshing the mixture through the air at the enemy. As the canister hit the ground, Francis had swiped up his shotgun and blasted one of his remaining incendiary shells at the fiend, causing his Hell's Honey to ignite into a terrifying fireball. After recoiling from the white-hot flash, he searched for Ser Edmond through the flames, hoping to see the monster engulfed in cleansing fire.

Ethraeil felt nothing but frustration over the knight's reasoning. It was beyond infuriating to see someone be so stubborn as to the truth. Sazak would be dealt with after the Duke, and there was no way that Sazak knew what was coming to him as the plan had only been discussed in secret and away from Valeria. With the fight only beginning, Ethraeil took his ice spear from his hand and threw it at the revenant.

Edmond was fixated on Valeria, and so he charged towards the Inquisitor. "I am...sorry, Valeria, but...you do not understand what Sazak can do!" He charged through the inferno that Francis slung at him, as well as the icy spear of Ethraeil, in an attempt to hit Valeria with his sword. Meanwhile, the revenant leader pounded his chest in a ritualistic fashion before charging at Francis, swinging its giant axe at the overzealous teacher.

Camille leaped into the fray as Edmond charged Valeria, and she predicted such an attack would be coming. Intercepting the nosferatu's flight path as she stepped in front of the inquisitor - if Valeria died here there would be no chance of them killing the Duke. Quickly she tossed two quills out from her hand and into Edmond, readying herself to block his attack should that not slow him down any. She braced herself and held her rapier laterally across her chest, though there was no telling how much good this maneuver would do her.

Aleister back stepped to put some distance between himself and their two opponents, not wanting to get caught up directly in the fighting while he was better at range. Close combat was thoroughly messy, and he wasn't in the proper attire. He was arguably rather graceful with his claws, but to him it seemed somewhat desperate and even juvenile.

He took aim on the charging revenant before hesitating. It was going after Francis. A dark half-sneer formed on his face as he glanced away towards the nosferatu instead. It was making a direct charge for Valeria, and unlike that dreadful man, she couldn't be spared. They had made it far enough without Francis, so his loss would be of no great worry. Aleister aimed his silver loaded revolver at Edmond and fanned the hammer in hopes he could land some good shots on the beast.

As Edmond charged through the attacks, he was hit several times from all sides by the various members of the inquiry. Only a few were able to do proper damage, however, as his large wings seemed to shield him from attacks. Francis' fireball engulfed Edmond, sticking to him like glue and turning him into a towering inferno. Aleister's revolver shots managed to hit the blazing creature, while Ethraeil's icy spear simply shattered upon hitting Edmond's wings. Theodore, deciding to go for a more explosive attack, hurled a half a stick of dynamite at the creature. It exploded as soon as it hit the creature, badly damaging the flesh of the creature's already scorched wings.

Camille attempted to place herself between Edmond and Valeria, flinging a pair of her needle like quills at the creature which simply bounced off his wings. As he neared, he swatted her aside with one of his burning wings. The smack knocked her to the side, and also lit portions of her clothes on fire. She quickly composed herself, before slapping out the flames on her outfit. Meanwhile, Galina took a shot at Edmond, which missed. Wesley's attack connected however, as he swatted at Edmond as he passed by. Slicing across the creature's back. Finally, he arrived at Valeria, whom was oddly prepared for the engagement. Her movements fluid, she rolled beneath his sweeping attack, and arched her own blade across his flank. His wing managed to block it however, so she quickly moved back to prepare for another attack.

During the group's engagement against Edmond, the Revenant Leader decided to take the chance to attack Francis. Francis, however, managed to stay alert while reloading and narrowly dodged the overhead swing of the massive axe in the revenant's hands. The edge of the axe scratched across the front of Francis' armor, sending sparks bouncing off the stone beneath them.

Despite being set ablaze and attacked from various angles, Edmond tanked through the attacks without flinching. "You people...do not understand, Sazak is unstoppable! He...will always have his way, he...MUST die!" he said, before swinging his sword towards Valeria again. Meanwhile, the revenant leader charged towards Aleister next. The creature was fueled by blind rage, and it cryptically spoke to the priest in its old native language. "Du...vil dø! Og jeg...skal drikke av skallen din!" it spat, before swinging its axe.

"You won't kill him by killing a vessel you fool!" Ethraeil yelled out as he threw out a bolt of dark magic at Edmond. "It's never that simple with demons."

She tumbled and rolled before getting up and patting out the flames, sneering at Edmond as she flipped her last quill in her hand, edge pointing downwards as she rushed back into the fray. His wings were tougher than she expected, this time Camille would put yet more force into stabbing through them.

Can't fly if those wings are stuck together. Theodore took out a bomb and chucked it at Edmond. The contents should explode and coat him in the sticky goop that was used before and weight him down some.

Francis yelped as the axe crashed off the front of his armor. All along he had been trying to fight from a distance, as he had no melee skill to speak of. He stumbled backwards and reflexively pointed his now-primed shotgun at the undead menace and fired both barrels, one containing incendiary and the other a basic buckshot round.

 

[Emperor Sagan]

Aleister tried to attack Edmond again, but saw the revenant barrel towards him now like a billiard ball. He raised his left hand towards it and began to channel sorcerous holy magic to blast it back. If that failed, he'd have to be quick to dodge away.

"Back to the grave where you belong, wretch!"

Ethraeil's dark magic bolt struck Edmond, as he turned to swing at Valeria. His sword barely grazed her, slicing across her side as she tried to dodge it once again. A simple flesh wound. Camille and Aleister attempted to attack the creature after its move, Camille moving in to stab the creature but finding its outer wing flesh rather hardy. Aleister's holy magic struck true, however, burning Edmond's flesh almost as badly as the inferno already engulfing him. Another explosive collides with Edmond, flung by Theodore in an attempt to slow Edmond down and prevent him from flying. The sticky substance didn't mix well with the material that Francis had coated him with, so it simply slipped off or burned due to the fire. Wesley fired off another shot at Edmond, but failed to pierce his wings. Valeria's retaliation was much more effective, quickly using an opening after Edmond's attack to carve a gash out of Edmond's chest.

Meanwhile, Galina and Francis found themselves fighting off the raging revenant leader. Francis fired off both barrels of his shotgun, coating the revenant leader in flames while also blowing a hole through its old rusted armor. Galina then took the chance to stun the creature, focusing a loud scream at the skeleton to stop it in its tracks.

Ethraeil continued his attack, this time focusing on the revenant nearby rather than Edmond as he formed a blade of ice in his hand. With the creature having been stunned, Ethraeil took the advantage and swung at it with all his might.

Camille was growing frustrated at how durable his wings were turning out to be, yet she was persistent. In a flurry of slashes and stabs she continued her assault, aiming to find the weak spots of the nosferatu's form or combat style.

 

[Breadman]

Theodore turned his attention to the revenant. A weaker opponent that the knight, but dangerous non the less. He appeared to be stunned, so the scholar took advantage and threw a firebomb at him.

 

[Emperor Sagan]

Aleister kept up his attacks with his revolver, down to only two cylinders worth of silver. He had hoped to save this for the encounter with the Duke, but Edmond was determined to try and finish them off in his blind motivation.

Edmond continued to tank through various attacks from his enemies. He grunted towards Ehtraeil as he spoke to him. "You know what I mean!" he shouted, while Camille tried to pierce through his wings. "I know I am...not killing the fiend, but stopping his plans is enough to...set him back!" He then turned to Camille and grunted. "Your technique...is good! But you need more than...agility, huntress! Use your will!" he said before turning back to Valeria. This time, the Nosferatu extended his wings, rising from the ground for a short second. Just to try and cleave through the Inquisitor. The revenant leader was fighting like a wild Nivarden viking, but was stunned by the powerful scream of Galina. He simply said "Skummelt..." while trying to regain his balance.

Francis took a moment to catch his breath as he realized the revenant was preoccupied, and consciously decided to reload his shotgun with ordinary buckshot to conserve the final two rounds of his incendiary ammo. To ensure that his opponent wouldn't get too close again, however, he opened a pouch on his belt and pulled out a cloth sack which he overturned, dumping caltrops onto the ground between the inquisitors and the undead warrior. "Better to take it out from afar!" he called out to the others.

Edmond kept up his attack aimed solely at Valeria, meanwhile still suffering from inferno Francis is placed upon him using his Hell's Honey. He leaped into the air, using his wings to keep him aloft for a moment as he tried to slash at Valeria. He succeeded, carving gash across Valeria's chest. She groaned in pain, stumbling backwards before suddenly lunging back forward and driving her sword through Edmond's stomach. She snatched it out, just as the rest of the group made their own moves on the airborne creature. Camille lunged in, finally driving her rapier home and shoving it through Edmond's side. Aleister also successfully hit Edmond with a revolver shot, and Wesley got his own stab in using his rapier. Galina's shot missed, however.

Meanwhile, Ethraeil decided to focus on the Revenant leader. He swung his ice blade at the creature, shattering several of its bones, before quickly moving back as Theodore hit the creature with a firebomb. He was soon ablaze, stumbling about as he tried to regain his senses. Francis used the pause in combat against the creature to lay down a trap in the event that it did regain its senses.

Soon, a familiar voice spoke up. "You're also trying to kill the only thing that can stop Ashwood, Eddy. Someone whom can truly wield the Sword of Velin." said Sazak, speaking through Valeria once again as her eyes shifted to the typical demonic black and gold. "I seriously doubt that Ashwood, in his current state, would let you take it from him. Why don't you step aside, and let Witlock and this fine group of inquisitors do their duty?"

 

[Dmaster]

After finally landing a strike in on Edmond she withdrew and flourished her blade, pivoting just in time to see the nosferatu strike Valeria. "This is only the start of the battle - I have yet more to give!" she shouted, making another spirited series of slashes. As she clashed blades with Edmond, she could hear Sazak's voice behind him.

"And you think speaking up now will make him strike you less? Shut yourself up before you make things worse on your precious vessel, demon!"

Edmond's wounds were starting to affect him, his movements becoming a bit more erratic. But he still tried his best to remain in control, his dark blood staining his enemy's weapons. He felt Camille's blade pierce his side, and he jerked his body towards her, his furious eyes locking onto her before looking back to Valeria. Edmond snapped at the demon when he spoke through Valeria. "Nothing is impossible! I have killed great creatures and villains that many thought impossible to kill! I'll take the ring from his hands by any means necessary! I won't let ANYONE have that cursed ring!" He looked back to Camille. "None of you understand! Sazak always has his way! He WILL find a way to curse you just like he cursed me!" He quickly attacked Valeria yet again, with the same fury.

 

[Breadman]

"And we will deal with that if the situation comes." Theodore spat out as he hurled another bomb at the revenant. "Your concern is very touching, but it's not needed."

 

[Emperor Sagan]

Aleister reached into his leather pouch and found, to his not unexpected dismay, only three bullets left. He had finally run his course on silver rounds. Frowning, he loaded up the bullets, but he holstered the gun. Better to save those last shots for emergencies. Now he had to utilize his store of magic, something he didn't wish to do here.

He cupped his hands together to form a small space between them. It was not likely that he could stand toe to toe with the nosferatu using limited magic. He started a quick, silent incantation to bring up an orb of light. This time, however, he modified it so it would explode into sharp spears of energy. A little more powerful than a usual bolt, and one that could hopefully shred those ridiculous wings of his he used as shields.

Having already laid his trap, Francis returned to his preferred weapon and fired his buckshot rounds at the revenant.
