Magoo forgot to mask our scents. He is capable of making the illusion of smell to mask other odors if he uses higher level spells. He just straight up didnt think about it. It would have cut their camouflage time to less than 5 minutes anyway.
Stay down-wind of your prey, lol.
Also, I would say he is at about 50-60% mana after the pit trick and the bird, so he will need to conserve once inside the chief's house. In a pinch, he can dump the rest of his mana into one big grand illusion for about 120 seconds. Like a big fire that feels and smells and sounds real but would not do much actual physical damage if we threw an orc directly in it.
It may be useful for driving a large group into a trap or toward the forest. I think the Gorgons could be helpful if we plan right.

Not a huge deal as MindWackMagoo MindWackMagoo controlled the orcs similar to what I would have done in said scenario but I’ll take this chance to remind everyone.

Please do not control groups of enemies be it orcs monsters or beasts. I’m ok with you controlling one or two nameless orcs for a easy kill but any more than two is considered a group.

Leave groups, named enemies, beasts and monsters that can change the scenario to me please.

One last hint.
With the high ground as well as the task of watching over grimdar. the archers on the towers are the most present threat. While everyone else has snuck in from a distance invisible at least one orc archer has seen five orcs “three stooges” there way to death over some traps in the territory aha

One would think they’d make traps outside where orcs patrol and build but orcs amirite? Most are dumbasses.
 
I had not caught your post about groups until after i posted that. I went back and edited it to 3 orcs yesterday after i read that to make it less of an issue.
I will be sure to watch that going forward.
 
Also, can we go ahead and retroactively add Titus to the illusion gang since he technically would have been with us when Magoo cast it?
 
I assume so but ultimately it’s up to your character and others to acknowledge having another help them. If they don’t mention it assume you saved mana aha

—I’m hoping others post before me but I will probably do a orc post before work tomorrow which could help it along

"The most obvious threat in Grimdar at the moment would be the archers towers built around the territory and the patrolling Orcs. Each tower had a archer or two keeping watch, though some more vigilant then others. The ones by themselves more careful then the ones able to socialise."

I realise the picture came out as a attachment so you may not have imagined the scene similar to this but if four orcs are on one tower that Magoo has tripped onto the top off he is being shot by three orcs and spotted by other orcs just looking about cause someone shouted "MAN MEAT!!"

I’ll take a chance here to say please don’t contradict your CS. If you for example, are a dwarf mage with powerful illusion mana, spirits in your head that distract and disturb, as well as a lack of agility or strength... maybe casting magic is a better idea then climbing up a tower to fight groups aha

But on the side of not being a nitpicking GM to everyone, I'm off to work now so I'll reply when I'm home as to what orcs are up to and whose been spotted.

The red bird was seen by two towers, and when a red bird just evaporates into air as a Signal even a dumbass can quickly determine "intruders about"
Magoo's and Dormus's actions have drawn attention which I need proper time and a charged device to type up lol
No alarms have been raised but the Orc patrols are moving closer because of what archers have seen/heard/ looks like a struggle up on that tower...

NeonFlow NeonFlow I had NOT seen that attachment before lol. I changed my post around to fit better.
Dropped the tower to 2 orcs that Magoo used illusion to deal with without drawing attention but then he falls off the tower, drawing the orc patrol you mentioned above. He also forgot to reapply his camo, so they see him pretty easy.
Vera Phorcis and possibly Titus still camouflaged but Dorm is officially out of range at the tower he just jumped out of.

Oh the bird is still circling the village at the moment and will fly off to the forest before it vanishes so as to not draw extra attention.

But the apprentices following vera to the chefs house makes me think funny shit

“We NEED to save the the chef of grimdar, only he has the knowledge of the eleven herbs and spices needed to make great chicken!”

Shiki with a look of shock before turning into a serious general-
“We don’t have enough time, I want three of you on the left side ready with...”

If it turns into this I’ll say though with Shame you’ll succeed in saving spicy chicken. As a gm I love that stuff

Ah, that is lazy writing, I listed the objectives each apprentice had to do before making Shiki leave to be a saviour elsewhere.

He observes them to determine rankings earned and if people lie about their trial. "Yea I totally killed like eighty orcs!!"

As far as I know.
He was attacked by the patrol that Shiki led away before turning invisible and sending a distraction to the house. (Location A)
The distraction didn't work. So nothing has changed.

So did the orcs not even bother to turn and look toward location b? Magoo mainly wants to draw attention to the stew or at least lure a few near enough to the barrels to blow a few up and draw a few away from the house.

His next idea would be a Bugs Bunny style ruse involving an orc female 😆 but I seem to be not getting a handle on how these orcs behave.
Perhaps he makes a Shiki illusion next and tries to get them to chase it.
Or...what are orcs afraid of? Maybe a mind flay is the next step.

I’m at work for a few hours so I won’t get into detail

But orcs can be fearful of or scared by many things and nothing.

Fire scares some
Wolfs some others
Some would be shit scared of spiders.

The point here is one orc captain can’t command another captains forces unless said captain intimidated or convinced them.

Orcs are all male so if you pull off female that looks like a orc for a illusion then it will cause confusion,
Orcs may question everything and attempt to rape nothing. Depending on how good the illusion the orcs might grope and flirt at the air or fight each other to the death for the chance of having the only female orc...

As for the Shiki/human illusion that seems plausible. But I’m sure you said 35% mana was left at said moment so don’t get caught only able to swing a staff my dude aha

The only two orcs left near the house were patrolling the perimeter and were lucky enough not to be caught in a berry trance.

I'll post once someone else has or I may say "fuck the post order, I write for the orcs"
Either way my town isn't on fire and the air isn't filled with smoke anymore.
