It actually has its own background, but I made the color similar to the RPNation skin so that it would look transparent

I do the same thing, since deleting the original background doesn't always work out so well. I meant to change the background of the Sabertooth GM's image to RpN's skin, but I forgot that it was no longer white.

How's the photoshop job coming btw? Are you working on several at a time?

I'm mostly working on one, which will serve as a template of sorts for the others. It's a bit tough trying to make progress, since a friend of mine is using the computer to work on finances. I've been trying to draw in Mashima's style while I wait.
