(work-in-progress intro for the main thread): The world of Alea, the super continent of Akaton.
Long ago, Alea was peaceful, bountiful and wondrous with the empires of humanity at its heart. The golden apple of Alea, the young, ambitious, unique empires of humanity.
But, all things must come to an end.
This golden age of empires didn't last long.
Humans who have succumbed to the darkness become members of a warring, bloodthirsty, sinful species. These sub-humans have been dubbed Demons.
Humans who were once strong in the ways of magic, now are consumed by the very energy they seek to control. Becoming purely made of magic, and hungry for more. This new race has been dubbed Lostmen.
Many powerful human empires fell to the hordes of demons and lostmen, but human blood wasn't the only thing on the minds of demons. Demon hordes slaughter the empires of the other races, killing off millions.
Something had to be done.
The Orcish, Lycaonian and Silver Elf empires have agreed that humanity should be wiped out in order to stop the demons and lostmen from gaining more forces.
The Elf and Insectan empires cannot allow the extinction of a race needed for the worlds balance, thus them agreeing to trap all humans and lock them in stasis magic.
However, the Dark Elf and Dwarven empires disagree. They proclaim that if we all stand together, we can face the demon and lostmen threat head-on without harming the humans. The Dark Elves and the Dwarves stand with the Great Union, the final empire of humanity.
