Coatboy
The Man of Many Pockets
So the other day, I watched this anime* and had a sudden inspiration to make an rp with it's premise. Which is weird, considering I have next to none experience in roleplaying. The aforementioned premise was that people lived underground because gravity worked backwards, and there were people on the surface for whom gravity was normal. But I'm not wanting to recreate the story or make a fandom rp. I just like the idea of gravity being manipulated. But alas I'm not quite sure how to go about making that happen. At first I didn't think that a science or logic based explanation would work, instead it would have to be more... magical? er somthin.
*if anyone wants to know, it was Patema Inverted, I highly recommend it 10/10
So yeah, I was thinking maybe there could be "a thing" happen at the beginning and reverse gravity but this one guy(or a few guys) can change his personal gravity and probably save a few guys from flying away... then they go in tunnels and "do something".
But I realize there could be some soft-science in play with a newer idea, if there were two planets acting like a binary system or maybe some large moons? Something along those lines.
I really have no idea what I'm doing and probably won't ever actually decide on anything, so if anyone could help fill in some details, or suggest something better than either of these, it would really be helpful. I probably could've made this thread under Mechanics, World Building, or Plot Analysis so instead I just made it an Ideas thread because I need help with each topic.
