Oi. That tag line seemed pretty clever, right? Lol.


Hello, I can be called Sphinx. I am what one would all a veteran around here having roleplayed for 10+ years, very close to 15 actually. I do not game at all so a lot of the fandom roleplay is lost on me unfortunately. Maybe, I just come from another generation of RP. :)


I am a detailed para-poster who has a lot of experience in many one on ones and group writings. My tastes fall into an odd spectrum of time or eras. I love historical dramas (being a historical buff of sorts) but can get down with modern settings too.


I enjoy these eras: Egyptian, Roman, Viking, Medieval and the Prohibition eras. (Just to name a few settings)


I enjoy these styles: Ancient, Victorian, Modern, Some Post Apoc (resident evil style).


I am terrible at: Sci-fi. (lol)


At the end of the day, I am down to write anything with a willing partner as long as its detailed, lengthy, and interesting. Don't be afraid to hit me up even if our tastes aren't similiar. I am a sucker for a good story and I look forward to making new writing friends.

Not gonna lie, your avatar reminds me of the one that belonged to the LiveJournal (again, stop laughing) member that RPed with my Trunks back in 2001-ish. I know that you're probably not the same person since you mentioned you don't really do fandoms, but it reminds me of that and makes me grin.

Now then, I know that you have to answers that you're wanting answered now and the first is, you can join any RP that is open. You can find the different RP genres here: Roleplays | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum


They're set up by genre so if you're looking for that Belgariad fandom RP (sorry, none yet exists here) then you'll know you aren't going to be looking in the futuristic genre. Each genre has an interest check at the top of the page and you can peruse this to see if anyone is wanting to create an RP.


If you are trolling the RPs and you just gotta make your own futuristic version of the Elenium, then you can pick the genre (future or fandom? I don't know!) and create an interest check. In the interest check you can tell the whole world about your RP and what you want to do with it. If you get enough people to say Aye! then you create your RP.


If you have any questions, issues, or concerns, don't hesitate to get in touch with either the moderators of your forum (the genre), the Super moderators, or even the admin staff. You can do that here: Site Questions & Information


If you have any questions you need to address to me, please tag me in your comments as I don't always get to every single response in every welcome thread and I end up missing a lot of questions. You can do that by using the @ before my handle.

Hello again, Sphinx! It's been some time since I've roleplayed, but I do believe that given the chance to stretch my wings, you may just be surprised with what I may bring to the table. That being said, I have two characters I believe would do well in the eras you prefer. One being a vampire (though I must warn you, he insists upon writing in the first-person perspective), and the other is... Well let's just say he's a phantom of who or perhaps what he once was. His original story takes places in the 1800's, though his legacy lives on.
