Fantasy Hotel California

Celeste

Celeste had leaned her head back with her eyes shut - Someone's joined me, Celeste thought. She opened her left eye and noticed a man to her left in the tub with her. She decided on not saying anything to him for the time being - She didn't want to do anything quite yet. Maybe if a few other people came, then-

Voices and sounds could be heard from the direction of the door, Celeste noted, so she stepped out of the tub, dried herself off with a towel and walked to the door, a towel in hand should she need something to cover herself with. She opened it and looked around outside. "Hello?"

Kira looks down at her hand as Dante touched it before looking back up at him and raises an eyebrow curiously. She seemed thoughtful for a moment and then nods. "As long as you can promise me strawberries then alright" She grabs her glass from the table downing what little was left and waits for his lead.

"I can promise that." Dante said smoothly. He grabbed her be the waist and took the lead to his room....

(Timeskiiiip)

Dante looked at the clock. 10:45 pm. He yawned as he got up to get some water on the table.

Being one of the first, he got one of the most luxurious suites in the place. It had a small kitchen. A living room. Two rooms. And more. Room Service treated him good. He loved it.

He stood outside on the porch, and lit up some medicine for himself wrapped in a cigarillo

Kira glances at the clock as well, it was still early in her books. She gets to her feet and helps herself to a glass a water, she was still a bit tipsy but was thinking a little more clearer now. She spots Dante on the porch and makes her way out. "You won the lottery when it comes to hotel rooms. I just a have room, bathroom, and a kitchenette. Not that I'm complaining" She looks out, enjoying the night air.

"I know right?" He inhaled, held for three seconds then exhaled. "There was barely anyone here before me. I was like one of the first... then you came and now a whole bunch of people came today. I was lucky." He said smiling "Beautiful night"

"Very beautiful night. Thanks for everything but I should be heading to my room. I have my baby to take care of" She laughs at his expression when she said baby. "My ferret, I have a ferret.... but perhaps I'll see you around for breakfast?" She asks, she wasn't a clingy kind of girl and liked her own space, she wasn't expecting to stay the night.

Dante raised an eyebrow. "Truly an old soul..." He said quietly to her. Most girls were clingy but she wants oblivious. Impressive.

"Ferret. A unique pet for a unique person hahaha." Dante walked them towards his door and he pecked her friendly on the cheek. "You oughta show me sometime... but like you said, Ill see you around." He winked at her and opened the door.

"I have no doubt, he won't stay cooped in the room the whole trip, he's just not a fan of swimming and roof top dates aren't his thing" She says with a laugh. "Good night Dante, thanks for lovely evening" She states before strolling her way back to her room.

"Actually! Id like to walk with you. Just a moment!" Dante said changing his mind. He wasnt even tired. He quickly got his hoodie and headed after her. He smiled at her. "So your room aint as nice?" He asked

Kira looks back over her shoulder and laughs. "Not nearly." She states waiting for him to catch up. She continues walking with him, heading back down to the second floor. "I don't know if you're familiar with ferrets but Rikki can be a bit of toe nipper. Just giving you fair warning" She makes her way to her room, unlocking the door and heading inside, glad she did decide to unpack instead of having everything everywhere. "So what made you want to join the air force?" She asks before closing the door behind him.

"Family mostly. Thought itd do me good. Plus i did not know what i wanted to do in life. I studied law and history while i was in the academy though. Those are my favorite studies." He said stepping in looking for the ferret. "The room aint so bad!" He said looking around...

He liked air force life enough, but studying these past years bored him. He was ready to join the forces and shoot something which is why he trained so hard. He never talked about it though. "How bout? You going to school?" He asked curiously sitting on the side of the bed

"Yeah like I said I can't really complain about the room. I like history, not so much law" She makes her way over to one of the dressers to pull out an over sized T-shirt and some shorts to change into. "I was. I've got my bachelor's in biology but I'm not sure what I want to do from here. If I wanna further my debt and get a master's or join the work force so to speak" She says with a laugh before making her way in the bathroom, to change, brush her teeth, and what not. She makes her way back out before sitting down on the bed as well before leaning down to the suitcase that was next to it and slips out a sleepy Rikki who was inside the pillow that had been laid in it. She smiles and pulls him up into her lap and watches as he lifts his head up to peer curiously over at Dante. He yawns before leaving Kira's arms and sniffs at Dante before bouncing around the bed like a maniac. Kira giggled as he managed to bounce himself straight off the bed. "You can't stay in a bad mood when he's around" She pulls her bare legs up under her before looking over at Dante. "You'll have to let me know when you're in New York, I haven't been in ages and maybe I'll use you as an excuse to go visit again"

"... I wouldnt mind it at all." Dante said looking at her up and down once more. "We gotta enjoy new york as soon as i get there. I dont plan on staying for too long." He smiled and laughed a little as he watched the small ferret hop around. Guy looked clean enough so it didnt seem she was some crazy cat lady. A liiiittle crazy though since she was a biology major and of course crossing the country alone. "Yeah the whole debt thing is too much for me... its why i joined. ts so hard to find a job without a masters now. But theres plenty of things you can do. If you have no options join the air force and become a 2nd lt."

She smiles at his agreement on New York. "Well neither do I" She nods when he mentions finding a job"Or at least a decent paying one" She laughs a little as he offers her to join the air force. "Are we a recruiter now" She teases playfully. "I don't know if I'm cut out for the military. I'm not one to take orders. I like to just come and go as a please, do what I want. Though I know I can't live like that forever since it's rather selfish but I'd like to as long as I can" She lays back on the bed, laying on her side with her elbow and hand propping up her head. "So what's your thought on this hotel? It's kind of odd right? Free rooms and what not... though I'm in no way complaining. Maybe they're running some kind of study with all the information they ask us to fill out"

"Yeahh." Dante fully agreed on the come and go. He was like that but ten times worse. He decided that everyone has a boss for a little and so he just sucked it up. Maybe one day hed open his own business.

"I dont know man... Thats way too sketchy. Nothings for free, not even out here in california." He chuckled making a little political joke. "I considering on leaving a bit earlier, before they dress us up and put us in weird rooms." He said as he reached out rubbed her leg slightly

She laughs at his idea why the hotel might be free. "Though even if it's a study you'd think the rooms at the very least would be discounted. I would prefer to know if I was acting as a guinea pig though. But with the information we gave maybe they just want an idea on who to advertise to? I'm hoping it's not free for some creepy reason" She states, not minding his touch.

Nick walked in, baggage in hand and his cat on his shoulder. "Well i guess this place is busy." He said quietly to himself, then next thing you know, "HELLO? Is anybody here?" He asked in a curious voice, waiting for a reply he pet Toon and stood there.

Ava and Aiden were showed to there rooms by the nice hostess, They dropped all there luggage and looked around the room. It was a master suit and a nice one at that. They were standing in the large living room which connected to the kitchen that had a hallway that led to one of the rooms. Ava smiled at her brother "Isn't this great!? So nice and roomy! I call dibs on the back room!" Ava grabbed her things and booked it all the way towards the hall that led to one of the rooms. She threw her stuff down and flung herself onto the bed. A bright smile across her face. Aiden walked in to his room and set down his stuff, After doing so he headed to the room Ava was sleeping in and leaned up against the door frame a sort of frown on his face. "No this honestly isn't great. We wouldn't be in the place if it wasn't for you." His voice was stern. He was mad at Ava for what all went down in Laguna Beach. Ava sat up to look at Aiden her smile was faded into a piercing lip pucker, Her feet were crossed while she sat on the bed and her posture was straight, " That's not my fault! I was perfectly fine without you there. I never asked you to come did I? I was fine!" Ava's face was saddened, and it hurt Aiden to see her with that face. "It doesn't matter if you asked.. You always need my help.." His voice trailed off as he walked away from Ava. Ava had tears rolling down her face. She grabbed her jacket and ran around Aiden to leave the room. "Ava Wai-" The door to the hotel room slammed behind her.

Ava headed down to the lobby, She needed to get the bar. She needed a drink. Ava sat down on one of the stools while she ordered a vanilla frappe. Tears fell from her eyes as she waited for her drink. "This isn't my fault..." She said softly to herself and she laid her forehead on her arms.

"Damn, I can't believe how tired I am," Sandra murmured as she entered the lobby. Being tired always made her moody and cranky, but she normaly hid that when she had to talk to people. She walked straight to the front desk, not paying attention to anyone but the man standing behind the counter. She set her suitcase down apon reaching it.

"Hello. I'd like a room with a bed at least queen-size if that's possible, Xavier," she said, reading his nametag.

Dante frowned... maybe hed go to the lobby and see if there was anybody who knew if there was a catch or not. Plus... he really wanted to drink. "Well... I think its time i left. Sleep good." He pecked her on the cheek and walked out of the room.

In the lobby, there were yet MORE people that checked in. Two guys guy, and two girls. Nick had some kinda cat on his shoulder. Apparently the hotel also ran some animal service because the ferret, and now this? He shrugged he didnt mind animals, even though he never ever really wanted one. The guy was 6'4" 146 pounds. He was a walking stick. If that cat slipped it was game over. Kid looked nice enough though.

The couple that came in checked to their rooms.

As dante made his way across the lobby to the bar he eyed Sandra. She was about an inch shorter than him, like Kira. Which he loved. Tall girls were his favorite. He's only about 5'10" but encourages all women to wear heels when they want to. He does not mind people talking in public. He liked the attention. He looked closer at Sandra. Her lush, straight jet black her seemed to reach her backside. He tried to make out her eyes but she was too far.

Dante sat at the bar and white wine. Minutes later the girl that checked in with the male, Ava, took a seat. She ordered a frappe and cried....

Dante remembered a couple things about Ava and Aiden. The weight difference had to be ten pounds between the two, the male and himself. Judging from afar the guy had 4-5 inch difference on Dante. He worked out a bit, but nothing crazy.

The girl, Ava, was ummmmph beautiful. She was about 5'8" still pretty tall for a girl. He analyzed their body language and speaking manner as they checked in. They were definitely not together. Siblings, cousins or the guy was probably gay.

"You keep crying like that, youll ruin the drink." Dante sipped and said to Ava from a couple seats down as she was being served

Kira just waves as he leaves, tired of the all the small talk anyways. She wasn't sleepy by any means but being social was exhausting to her. She was however starving, pancakes and fruit was not nearly enough. She grabs another vodka soda since her buzz was turning into a headache, one of which she was not ready for until morning. She makes her way out of her room heading downstairs to see if the restaurant was still open to get a midnight snack. She made her way through the lobby seeing several more people, they just didn't stop coming, at least with all the people her floor seemed relatively quiet. She spotted Nick and the black cat perched on his shoulder, making her way over to him. "That's the most adorable thing I've ever seen. My cat would never sit in one place like that"

Xavier looked up from the front desk, smiling at the new young lady. He'd gotten her guest form earlier and relayed it in his mind. Sandra. Kinsey. 22, 5'9. Loves cats, fears heights, blah blah a few other things. Not important yet. "Shouldn't be a problem at all." It really wouldn't be. All the rooms had queen-sized, if not bigger. Xavier was inclined to be extra polite to the woman, as she'd been the first to acknowledge his name. He selected a key to a room on the second floor so Miss Kinsey would not have to worry about heights. And, of course, the room had a king-sized bed. See, that's what you get for being polite, Xavier thought as he handed her the keys with a smile. "Enjoy your stay."

Noticing Mr. Xavier from afar, Dante quickly rose his hand towards him. He gestured for him to come to him for moment. He had something to say to him.

Out of the corner of his eye, Xavier noticed Dante making some manner of movement. He looked over to see that he was being summoned by way of a hand motion. Xavier's left eye flickered red again. Not like it would be particularly difficult for him to walk to the front desk, but it wasn't a manager's place to question his guests' intentions. In any event, he was certain that any guest hopefuls could wait a short leave of absence. And why not, he could use this time to check on that young misguided woman who'd fled to the top floor in a rush to go to the bathroom. Xavier smiled to himself, knowing not a thing went by at the hotel that he didn't know about.

He placed his glasses on the desk, along with a placard that read 'On break. Please wait in the lobby for assistance'. From the glass key case, Xavier pulled a key from the top-floor room his unexpected guest had chosen. He pocketed the key in his suit and left the desk to meet with Dante.

Xavier stood at the bar near Dante, assuming his usual polite poise and smile. "May I help you with something?" He inquired.

"Here." Dante gave the man a twenty.

"I wanted to thank you Mr. Xavier... Ive been here for three days... and its been great." Dante said looking at the man from his seat. "But i need to know... whats the catch sir?" He asked him
