Realistic or Modern Home For The Troubled and Exotic

Aiden looked back at the girls, then to Antonio. "Sir, I would love to tell you about it, but shouldn't we make sure she's okay?" He gestured to Macie. He had to wonder how in the world the man wasn't concerned, though from the look on his face he might not even have noticed it. "You okay?" He asked the injured girl.

Tyler~

Antonio blinked a bit, but then a smirk consumed his features. He knew something we didn't but in that moment I couldn't place it.

"Yes of course," He murmured to himself with a small smile. "Tyler you can show them to the infirmary." I only nodded, and gestured to Aiden and Macie.

Macie looked at the others blankly, not used to such attention, before quickly replying. "Its only a scratch and it really isn't necessary, look its already healing." The familiar prickly feeling of her healing had started the moment her claws tore through her skin. She lifted up her hoodie carefully to show Tyler there was no need to worry, there was a trickle of dried blood but no cuts, just 3 pale pink lines on either side of her abdomen. "See? I can heal so its alright." Looking to the others she added, "Thanks for your concern but I'm ok." she smiled at them before lowering her hoodie down again.

Tyler~

I blinked a bit, kind of in shock. "Oh," I said, feeling a bit stupid. I gave a small smile towards her, and then shot Antonio a glare. This idiot knew something was up with his damn mind reading. "Well, if you guys need anything you can ask-" I was about to exit the room when Antonio stopped me.

"Why don't you show Aiden to his room, and then you can show both of them around the house," He said, and I felt my eyebrows knit together. He knew I hated interacting with others, so why was he forcing this on me?

Aiden noticed Tyler's discomfort. "Um, thats okay, you can just give me the directions if you want, I can find it on my own if you don't want to show me." He suggested. He looked between her and Antonio. "I can also just find my way around the place, so you don't need to show me around either if you don't want to."

"Yeah Tyler, me and Aiden can make our own way, I'm sure we'll figure this place out." Mace smiled over at Tyler but she wouldn't' admit that a tour would make it easier for them both. She could do with finding some new bed clothes, maybe a replacement hoodie while she's at it. She had some questions burning in the back of her mind for Antonio, but she'll save them for later when she caught him alone.

Tyler~

"Oh, well okay," I said, forcing a small smile. "I guess, I'll see you guys around?" Although I didn't plan on it. I planned on keeping my distance, even though it was obvious Antonio wanted me to make some sort of friend here. He shook his head at me disapprovingly just before I retreated quickly from the room, giving one last glance at everyone. My skin burned with nervousness and I headed towards the back door so the winter air would calm me.

Macie saw Antonio's head shaking out of the corner of her eye as Tyler left and could sense her uneasiness, she might have dimmed her hearing earlier on but she could hear that girls heartbeat pounding now Mace's own heart had calmed down. Of course she could understand in some way, Mace was uneasy and wanted to get away as soon as she could. She gave a half hearted wave after her before turning back around to face Antonio. "Is, is she ok?"

Third person~

"Oh yeah, she's just a little nervous," Antonio replied with a wave of his hand. "She doesn't trust herself around people, like most here. You'll get use to it." The older man took a seat back at his desk, propping his feat up. "I'm sure you two want to explore, right? You can," He said, hands lacing behind his head. "And Macie," The girl hadn't told him the nickname, but he had heard it in Tyler's mind only moments ago. "Sheets and such are in numerous closets around the place. Just grab some." Then he focused on Aiden. "The first vacant room you can find is yours." Then he waved the two out of his office.

"Thank you, but, could I speak with you regarding.. last night please?" As much as Macie wanted out right now, she had to ask her questions. Her eyes shifted slightly in colour as she started messing with her hands again.

"What about it?" Antonio asked, acting oblivious. "You destroyed some sheets, big deal. You'll adjust soon enough," He told her with a light shrug. "It might take some time, but trust me. It get's easier."

Aiden quietly left the room so that the two could talk. He grabbed his luggage and went to find a room. He walked past a few rooms and avoided the ones with any signs of occupancy. He eventually chose a room, entered it, set his things down, and started unpacking. He set up his laptop, pinned a couple of posters onto the wall, set up a hamper, and soon finished unpacking.

Tyler~

I sat in the backyard, picking at little dandelions that rose from the ground, and then I got an idea. I placed the small little, yellow weed in the middle of my hand and squeezed my eyes shut tight. The familiar burning sensation rushed through my body and to the tips of my fingers. I could feel the heat build there and when I peeked open my eyes, I saw that the little flower was now on fire, along with my hand. I stared at it in amazement. I controlled it. Soon the flame burned out, and I stared at the now charred flower. It was in ashes, some spots of yellow still visible. Just destruction. That's all I caused.

"The book girl's been stalking me."

Everex nearly choked on her coffee at Alvientus's statement. They were both lounging in the large living room.

"The human one who helps drop off the new reading material?" Everex said with a gasp as she massaged her throat.

"The very same, whenever she gets the barest chance she sneaks over and tries to make chitchat. I've actually been able to memorize the patter of her feet as she tries to sneak up on me."

"Aw, that sounds adorable." Everex cooed

"It was at first, I thought I'd be able to let her down gently and get back to my daily routine."

"You mean moping around and devouring the kitchen?"

Alvientus ignored that "But then she started getting a little too daring."

"Oh come on Al! I watched you devour an entire chicken coop with the chickens inside it! What could one human girl do?"

"She tried to lick the back of my neck last time."

Everex paused, "Excuse me?"

"Yeah, I was able to register the uncomfortably close presence of breathing before she was able to do the deed... but that's not all. Some of my snacks go missing in the library at the exact same times she works. I've been getting the distinct feeling of being followed. And I walked past the bathroom only to hear her chanting my name repeatedly in the most disturbing way imaginable."

"How so?"

"She had a music box playing as she did it."

Everex laughed "Wow Al, you sure have a way with the ladies now don't you?"

"Figures the one female to approach me as a plausible match had to be some sadistic little stalker. Whatever, as long as I don't have to go through a living moment from Misery it doesn't really matter."

With that, he snatched Everex's partially empty cup off coffee and swallowed it cup and all.

"Mh," Alvientus said as his monstrous teeth tore the cup apart and spilled its contents down his throat "tastes a bit like malt balls."

"So good with ladies, but the only things he can think about are ba-"

"Say it and I'm eating an arm."

"Batteries!" Everex finished with a smirk

"Isn't that your game?"

"Despite how convenient solar power can be, my heart shall always reside within those tiny pieces of electricity providing glory." Everex placed a hand to her chest with pride as Alvientus looked away with a groan.

Tyler~

The cold air was still biting at my skin, but the feeling was distant. I liked it in the cold, it was one of the only other things I could physically feel besides heat. I hated heat, and anything contributing to it. It all just lead to destruction. So, because of my hatred for heat, I was sitting in nothing but jeans and a tank top in the freezing weather, hoping to catch ammonia. That wouldn't happen. For some reason, I was incapable of getting sick. It kind of sucked, especially when Antonio made me attend classes at this dreaded home.

"It's not about that, I wanted to know about.. What happened to those men? did I kill them?" her voice trailed off at those last words, thats what she was so afraid of, what if they actually died? it was a blur after the attack, she got restrained and thrown into the back of a police van before being droppped here last night. The officers spoke in low voice around her, she's sure they drugged her with a seditatve bringing her here. "What'll happen to me if they are.." she curled her claws into her, struggling to actually say the word 'dead'.
