Hogwarts Roleplay

Rules: Sexual roleplay and/or graphic content is ONLY allowed if both parties give OOC authorization (either via PMs or asking here), and it shall NOT be done in detail (one single paragraph of roleplay is enough).
All RPNation rules apply, no exceptions are made.
I and/or any eventual Moderators that will take care of this roleplay thread will not take the responsibility if any of you breaks any rules.
To start roleplaying with us, send down here your character application (full name, year, patronus, wand, background story, personality, etc.: you can indulge yourself with your application as long or as short as you want. The only mandatory thing you have to write is your personality and a House you'd like to be sorted into so we know which house we should sort you inside of.).
Swearing is allowed as long as it's not too explicit (a simple "sh*t" is enough, and we'd prefer if you could censor it), powergaming/metagaming is not allowed, going OOC too often and/or poor roleplay and/or poor grammar (we don't expect you to be an English teacher but we don't want lack of knowledge of basic grammar rules) will lead into all your roleplay to be retconned and you to be banned from this roleplay.
Every time you start a roleplay you have to specify where you are roleplaying and whom you are talking to (refer yourself to the map below if you don't know the Hogwarts' castle map).
Knowledge of the whole Harry Potter-things is not mandatory, but basic knowledge of things would be preferred.
You're not allowed to roleplay HP-canon characters, you can still talk about them IRP though, as long as you don't refer to events that the wizarding world wouldn't know about the Harry Potter story (this means that - for example - you're allowed to talk about the Battle of Hogwarts IRP, but you're not allowed to talk about tiny details such as Harry Potter talking with the Grey Lady during the last movie, as the wizarding community wouldn't know about that, and that'd be considered as pure metagaming.).
After you've submitted your character application, you can start roleplaying inside of the train during the travel to the school if you want, but you're not allowed to roleplay inside of the castle until I or any eventual Moderator will accept and sort you after you've sent your character application below of course.
Classes will be given as solo roleplays (scripts) to avoid one single class taking too much, so you will just be given the lesson and the homework prompt you can send for House Points (PS.: attending classes is optional.).
If you want to become a Professor and/or Staff in the Hogwarts School of W&W, PM me with your interest letter and which spot you'd like to fill in. Until then, I will be the one hosting the lessons.
Dueling note: when you are dueling with somebody (either they want to or not), you don't have to roll anything unless they don't cast a protection spell: then, if they cast it, roll the dices to see who wins.
Last - but not least - we're here to have fun, so do not take defeats on the personal way and remember that we are here under the same name: roleplayers! Have fun, I hope this will be an active thread and roleplay project!
