Ah, Hogsmeade. Otto’s favorite place. When it came to Hogsmeade, Otto always looked forward to going. Simply because, located there, is Honeyduke’s — the best shop in all of Hogsmeade, hands down. Otto always looked forward to the many sweet treats that otter could pick from, and otter always looked forward to the welcoming sugary aroma in the air. Quite honestly, the sugary, sweet aroma mixed well with Otto’s scent of pumpkin and baked apple pie. To some, it might be nauseatingly sweet. But to Otto, it was just right. And to say the least, Otto has a stash of sweets hidden under his bed. Granted, he already wolfed down some pumpkin pasties and saltwater taffy earlier that day. Can you blame him though? Oh, oh and don’t forget the snowball fights one could start! All in good fun of course.

Otto deserved a break from the prefect duties. Otter’s been stressed lately with patrolling the corridors and not getting that much sleep, and doing a whole bunch of studying. So going to Hogsmeade — specifically Honeyduke’s would be a well relaxed trip for otter.

The thing is, though, Otto should really not be left alone in Honeyduke’s. Really, he shouldn’t. Otto will need to drag some friends along to supervise him.

The prefect was beaming with excitement and anticipation as otter began to zip up otters chest binder before slipping on an oversized green sweater (and quite frankly the sleeves went past otters hands) as otter was trying to hurry up and get dressed. After getting dressed, classic Otto wearing black and gray cat stockings with otters outfit, otter slipped otters wand into otters pants pocket just in case otter needed it.

Fingers wiggled their way through warm, fuzzy, light brown colored fingerless gloves that had white cat paw prints. Not the best thing to go with this outfit but hey, gloves are great in the wintertime. After this, Otto slipped in some silver cat earrings, giving them a poke with his index fingers to make sure they were in firmly. After this, Otto carded his fingers through his hair before tying it up into a short ponytail.

Cookie and Mallomar were resting on Otto’s bed, eyes closed and they seemed to be content on the warm covers. Otto went over and gave them both a gentle pat on the forehead. It would be nice to bring both of them along but they seemed happy where they were. Okay, it seemed like Otto was ready for the Hogsmeade trip. The Slytherin prefect made his way out of the Slytherin Dorms, crossing the Common Room before leaving. Otto had to go pick up Huxley! Honeyduke’s raiding duo. But the pine marten animagus would love to have some others join them in their trip to the sweets shop.

The pine marten made his way to the Gryfifndor Common Room, so what if he’s a Slytherin? Otto is very polite and he’s here to pick up a friend! Partner in crime, whatever. Otto bounced up the stairs leading to the big portrait that one would have to speak the password too in order to get access to the Gryffindor Common Room.

What’s the password for the Gryffindor Common Room again? Uhmmm… otter couldn’t remember but otter’s sure that maybe Huxley would be able to hear otter from where the pine marten was currently at.

“Hux! Let’s go to Honeyduke’s together! I can’t go alone.” Otto called out as a smile was starting to pull at his lips. The prefect was bouncing with excitement and quite frankly, he’s impatient. Can’t sit still, can’t wait for too long. Otto cleared his throat before continuing, “I want to get all of the best sweets before it gets way too crowded!” Otto really is too excited and too hyper for his own good.

Can you blame the pine marten for being excited though? He was jittery and hyper for this trip. Otto deserves a well relaxed break from being stressed. Okay so Otto sucks at his job as prefect but he’s trying his best here.

The Three Broomsticks Inn was warm in more ways than one, at the same time offering some respite from the biting cold and the snow outside - and painting both its patrons and furniture in a soft glow of the many candles... Contrasting with the harsher light coming in through the frost-covered windows. With the sounds of various conversations and clinking glasses providing background noise, it was a comfortable enough spot even while crowded...

And, oh, it was crowded - because how could it not be on the day the students of Hogwarts were officially allowed to visit Hogsmeade? At least half of the pub seemed to be taken by teenagers in groups bigger and smaller, unsurprisingly so - and among them was Artemis.

He sat alone for the time being by one of the smaller tables, though he had a feeling that his solitude would not last much longer... And he knew himself well enough to trust that little voice in his head that often randomly predicted what was about to happen.

The wind outside had tousled his hair a bit - and he had left it that way, having decided that it looked properly artistic, and not just commonly untidy... Though he was also aware that it was probably because of, well, him being himself, and not any particular talent on the weather's part. His long, black cloak with a furred collar and wide hood rested draped over the back of his chair, not needed in the warmth of the pub - exposing equally as black, form-fitting clothing, effortlessly elegant in its relative simplicity... Betrayed, however, by details, from delicate silver chains here - to a crescent moon pendant there, the pale metal almost lace-like with its complicated design.

Artemis had taken off his gloves as well, both to enjoy the heat of the glass of chocolate standing on the table before him whenever he drank from it - and for a better range of movement for his long fingers... As he switched between working on a couple of drawings in his sketchbook, not yet fully committed to creating anything new.

Just on the two open pages, there was - for example - a picture of a mostly finished little bird, jumping around a bit on its branch and tilting its head this way and that, the red on its chest being its only colour outside of black lines. Fanciful flowers bloomed next to it, spreading to the bottom of that sheet of paper - and connecting with a portrait of a woman there, this one completely black-and-white, done with dots, and yet fully realistic... In style, as the flowers and the flow of her long hair made her look more fey than anything else, emphasising her sharp features. The next page was mostly taken by a sketch of a cockatrice so far, this one clearly missing some parts still... And not moving.

Which was an unusual trait for a drawing in that sketchbook.

The explanation for it was simple, however - Artemis was not trying to capture the actual creature there, but only its likeness, as depicted in cold stone. Or, well, he assumed it to be cold, at least, since he hadn't actually touched it, only seen it... But that was beside the point. What mattered was that he had recently dreamt about it - and that was enough for him to save it in his sketchbook now... As he already had in his notes.

There was a chance that it meant nothing, of course; even he sometimes had completely normal, non-prophetic dreams... Probably, since he technically couldn't be entirely certain they were not coming true somewhere in some way, shape, or form. Still, there was that chance - but if the image did have a purpose... Then he definitely needed to watch out - and remember about it. Perhaps even check it out later... If his assumptions and memories were correct.

That, and he had honestly felt inspired to draw it earlier that day. The beloved sensation, the familiar and half-painful tugging of creativity, and wonder, and joy - both in his mind and in his chest - had already passed, however... And left him simply annoyed instead as he stalled, adding details to various sketches as he waited for the muse to bless him with something again.

Hux is on fiz bed with their back pressed against the cool stone of the dorm room. Plucking fiz guitar strings making sure they are tuned correctly. Humming to himself Hux was overflowing with joy to be heading to Hogsmeade today. After being satisfied with how fiz guitar was sounding they leaned over fiz bed gently laying it down in its case sliding it back under fiz bed.

Climbing out of fiz bed Hux walked over to the dresser, the top was strewn with chocolate frog cards, pins, ticket stubs and other sorts of clutter. Hux checked themselves out in the mirror making sure fiz looked the slightest bit presentable. Quickly fluffing out his brown curls with his hands and rubbing fiz eyes, fiz clicked their tongue and gave fizzself two thumbs up in the mirror.

Hux tugged open the old wooden drawer looking through fiz sweaters trying to find the right one to wear into Hogsmeade. Fi had to make sure it was bulky enough to hide store the hoard of sweets he planned to collect for Otto and them.

Otto had enlisted Hux to be a watchful eye over otter in the sweets store, maybe not the best choice as Hux was just as bad if not worse than him. The two usually walked out with nearly half the store in their pockets every time they entered together. So if Otto really needed some supervision he better call more back up.

Hux finally settled on the sweater that was just right, after trying on 6 different ones that now lay haphazardly on the floor. Fiz brushed off the front of the multicolored sweater before going in for the hunt of the right pants. Luckily fiz found the ones almost instantly pulling out a pair or light brown pants with deceiving deep pockets. Hux was in the middle of sliding them on when the dorm door was swung open by a fellow gryffindor.

“Yo Huxley, that slytherin prefect is looking for you.” The 5th year said leaning against the door frame.

Hux whipped their head to meet the boy's eyes. “Crap!” They scrambled, grabbing fiz brown drawing string bag and chapstick off the dresser top. Hux quickly scanned the room for the shoes he wanted, not finding them but finding the student was still waiting in his doorway. “You can go.” fiz said with a forced smile masking his stress. The 5th year left, leaving Hux still trying to find the shoes. Fiz gave up and just grabbed their old fraying converse.

Hux clobbered down the stairs with one shoe on the other dangling in fiz hand. Fiz swung open the painting.

The Slytherin prefect was on the other side bouncing in his shoes. “Hey Otto!” Fiz said smiling. “Sorry for the wait.” Hux raised the hand, still holding the shoe. “Couldn't find my shoes.” They chuckled leaning over sliding the shoe on. Hux sprung back up putting fiz hands on fiz waist “Ready to get our sweet on?” Fiz said with a devious smirk.

The cold never bothered Indigo, which is clearly shown by the fact that she was wearing a skirt of all things in the month of December with snowflakes fluttering onto their garments. Indigo was the Flying professor and she also handled the Quidditch matches as well, and they loved their job of it too, and they couldn't really be considered a strict teacher. Indigo was fun, happy, and got along pretty well with most, if not all, of their students. Indigo could be rather firm with their students if needed but overall, in general, they were pretty lenient on most things like tardiness and whatnot as long as it was not a daily happening.

Indigo was supposed to chaperone some students which was fine with them considering the fact that they did get along with most students pretty easily with no trouble. In fact, they were already on their way to Hogsmeade right now... donning a short-sleeve shirt with a skirt, a cardigan, and boots. And quite honestly, the cold snow brushed off her legs like water on a duck's back, it didn't seem to faze her or make her regret her decision in clothing style for the trip. They were simply happy and elated for this trip, they're always this way whenever they go to Hogsmeade simply because they love it so much of course.

She was on her way to Hogsmeade, her boots making an audible clicking sound with every step she took. Indigo wouldn't mind some company, in fact they would love to have someone to talk to. A small smile was gracing her lips as she could hardly contain how happy she was. Hogsmeade is a great way to relax and take a break from classes.

Hazel had been waiting for what felt like forever for the annual trip to Hogsmeade, and it seemed that she wasn't the only one who was happy that there was a break from classes. When it was announced that people could start heading to the town that many students loved, she slipped on her shoes and started heading towards the town.

Hazel was just about to walk out of the castle doors when she stopped dead in her tracks, turned around, went back to the Slytherin commons, into the girls's chambers and to her nightstand, where she opened the drawer and pulled out a necklace that she got for her 16th birthday. It wasn't anything flashy. It looked like a north star with a small sapphire stone in the middle. She quickly put the necklace on and started to make her way back out of Hogwarts.

It didn't take long for Hazel to make it into Hogsmeade, she practically ran the entire way. The only reason why she didn't was because she ended up hitting an icy patch that was covered by snow, and almost face-planted, but luckily she managed to regain her balance and play it off like nothing happened. She glanced around the small shops before settling on going to Broomsticks, which was one of her favorite places besides Honeydukes.

She walked into the small, but very crowded Inn. She knew that it would only get more crowded as time went on, so she sat at a table in the corner and pulled out a small notebook, aka her journal. Hazel never let anyone read her journal, she had a lot of personal things written down on the pages, some of the things she found rather embarrassing. She would rather die than have anyone read what she wrote down on the pages. But as of right now she was on a blank page getting ready to write down who she needed to get gifts for.

She wrote down 2 names... thats it 2 names. And one of them was her cats. Raven. Raven was more than a cat to Hazel though. The two of them had been inseparable since Hazel brought Raven home, so of course Hazel was getting her cat something. The other name... well that name belonged to a guy. This guy in particular had been friends with Hazel since last year... and without her realizing it, Hazel had developed a crush on him. Who is this guy you ask? This guy is no other than Fenrir Black.

Belladonna smiled as the cashier in Gladrags bagged the clothing and collection of jewelry she had purchased. The women went to grab the draped snake necklace and gently wrap like the rest of the jewelry. Interrupting her flow “Actually can you leave that one out?” Belladonna asked. “I just wanna wear that now.”

“Oh sure thing.”
The cashier responded. She handed Belladonna back the necklace. She dawned it on as the woman returned to bagging the items. She slid the bags over the counter to Belladonna. “Have a wonderful rest of your day.” The woman said smiling as Belladonna walked to the door with her new collection. “Enjoy the weather.” chirped the woman.

Belladonna exited the store, the chime above the door ringing announcing her exit. She looked up at the sky, her face dropping. "Enjoy the weather" she thought to herself. She shook her head and sighed. Belladonna wasn't the biggest fan of the winter, she didn't like the cold and it absolutely bothered her, or snow that much. She really despised how this type of weather severely limited her closet and how the snow would fuck up her hair, especially when it melted.

Thinking of her hair she groaned. It was fairly laid back and un-styled which was not her plan, but back in the Slytherin dorm some prefect was practically bouncing off the walls. Belladonna was distracted and frankly overwhelmed by energy in the commons so she didn’t take as much meticulous care into her appearance as normal. Otto was usually a distraction but was particularly unbearable this morning. Belladonna would fix her hair, and touch up her makeup in the Broomstick bathroom.

She wanted to sit down somewhere warm and The Three Broomsticks was the perfect place, plus it wasn't too far of a walk for Belladonna and her bags. She made her way down the cobblestone street her heels were barely muffled by a thin layer of snow blanketed on top. A voice from across the street suddenly broke her out of her thoughts. “Hey Belladonna!.” She turned to see Coriander, her younger sister waving to her from across the street. "Happy Hogsmeade Day!” She shouted excitedly.

Belladonna rolled her eyes “No need to yell i know.” she said flatly with a smile. She watched as her sister gave a weak smile. Belladonna turned to continue her walk to the pub, when once again her sister's voice shattered her peace.

“I'm going to Honeydukes, do you want anything?!” Belladonna shook her head hearing the smile she knew her sister had plastered across her face. Belladonna in all honesty didn't care that much about sweets. She pretended not to her sister, wanting to get out of the snow and not be shouting to each other across the street drawing looks from passersby. So she rounded the corner leaving her sister to her antics.

Belladonna reached her destination, opening up the door to an inviting pub. She stepped in taking in the warmth and aroma taking a second to soak it in. She made her way to the bathroom wading through the thick crowd and ambient noise. Swishing into the bathroom she cautiously placed her shopping bags on the floor after making sure it wasn't absolutely disgusting. She checked out her appearance in the old mirror, Her makeup was perfectly pristine being unspoiled by the snow. Her hair was not as fortunate. Brushing the snow off the top it off she fumbled around with it until a few minutes later when she was finally satisfied with how it was looking she scooped up her bags and left the bathroom.

She opened the door back into the comforting atmosphere of Broomsticks. Scanning the room for the right place to sit she saw the back of a boy, his windswept blonde hair and a recognizable hooded black cloak. She made way over to him knowing that it was the Ravenclaw prefect Artemis, the only prefect she really respected. Otto and Coriander were another topic.

She was walking over to him when she was distracted by a girl in a pretty sweater with ruffled sleeves. She turned attention to her realizing it was fellow Syltherin Hazel. “Oh hey Hazel.” she said cheerily, before she sat down at an empty seat next to her. “What's that?” Belladonna unable to help herself she looked over Hazel glancing at her notebook. She caught the name Raven which was one of her cats and slinked back into her seat unsatisfied with how bland it was. “How are you?” She asked taking off her coat and setting it on the back of the chair.

Pierre sighed as he sat back on his seat, enjoying the warmth of the Three Broomsticks as he shipped a butterbeer and read through the letter just brought to him by Madam Frau-Frau. He had come along way in the last two years, once it was unthinkable for him to enjoy the simple pleasures of the Three Broomstics. He used to consider such places as the refugee of scoundrels, poor and mudbloods, not for someone of his pedigree. How foolish, there was nothing like the warmth of this place, not just from the warming fire but also the liveliness of the clientele and homily design of the place. He was here alone apart from Frau Frau, but still he did not feel alone here. It was something he now did not want to live without.

He wished the letters were as comforting. With the coming of the holiday season, there was a critical choice to be made. Both his mother's and his sister Anna had invited him over to their place. Well his mother assumed, among her complaints about the English Ministry of Magic and English mentality in general. She was keen on returning to the family Castle outside of Paris. The issue was that his sister Anna did not exist in the eyes of their parents, she was the first to rebel against the family name, giving up on magic and eloping with a muggle. He had only recently reconnected with her thanks to his change and wanted to pursue it further. However, to acknowledge, let alone chose her over the family home, would mean serious retribution for his mother. He wanted to be free from his mother's control but also knew that he could not change things in his family from without.

He frowned as he tried to decide what to do when he felt a nip on his ear. Madam Frau-Frau had nipped his ear, either still waiting for her tribute for bringing the letters or trying to distract her. One could never know what going through the mind of the imperious owl. "Ouch, I ordered the bacon, it is going to come when it comes." He said in his native French but Frou- Frou turned her head and gave the impression of being hurt that this is what he thought, that was the purpose of his nip.

It was a bright and chilly day in Hogsmeade. Alessia made her way through the bustling streets of Hogsmeade, a small smile playing on her lips. She was enjoying her day off from classes and was excited to explore the village. She was wearing a stylish green plaid dress over a black turtleneck and tights, with leather ankle boots. As she walked, she took in the beauty of her surroundings and couldn't help but notice the little details around her - the sound of crunching snow beneath her boots, the smell of freshly baked goods wafting from Honeydukes, and the colorful window displays of the shops she passed.

As she made her way through the crowded streets, she saw the familiar facade of the Three Broomsticks coming into view. She quickened her steps, in case her best friend Mei might be waiting there for her.

As she stepped inside, she was greeted by the cozy atmosphere of the pub. The smell of roasting meat and spiced pumpkin wafted through the air, and the sound of chatter and laughter filled the room. Alessia ordered a hot butterbeer and bangers and mash from the bartender, She glanced around the pub and sighed, feeling a bit lonely as she realized her friend hadn't arrived yet after all. That's when she noticed Pierre sitting at a table nearby, engrossed in a conversation with his owl.

Despite her reservations about him, she decided to take a chance and move over to his table.
"Fancy seeing you here!"
she teased, hoping to break the ice. Without waiting for his response, she took a seat across from him. Alessia hesitated for a moment, then decided to try to make a quip.
"I'm sorry if I'm interrupting your conversation with your owl."
she said, trying to make a joke.

The bartender arrived at their table, placing a steaming hot butterbeer and a plate of bangers and mash in front of Alessia.
"Here you go, miss. Enjoy."
he said with a smile.

"Thank you so much."
Alessia replied, feeling grateful for the warm meal on the chilly evening.

As the bartender walked away, Alessia rummaged through her bag to find her coin purse. She took out a galleon and placed it on the table as a tip.
"Keep the change!"
she said with a smile.

Alessia smiled, relieved that she could finally enjoy her meal in peace. She sipped her butterbeer and savored the taste of the warm, spiced drink on her tongue. The bangers and mash were equally delicious, with the sausages bursting with flavor and the mashed potatoes creamy and smooth. For a moment, Alessia forgot about her troubles and simply enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the pub.

Otto Fischer and Huxley Winkle

Mei soared through the clouds on her broomstick, relishing in the freedom and excitement of flying. The rush of adrenaline, and the panoramic views of Hogwarts Castle and the surrounding countryside were all part of the experience she loved so much. She felt completely free, untethered from the ground, and in complete control of her movements. Mei knew that when she was up in the air, nothing else in the world mattered except the feeling of the broomstick beneath her and the vast expanse of the sky above. She let out a whoop of joy as she performed a loop and a dive, feeling the wind whip past her and the exhilaration of the G-forces.

As Mei landed, she expertly maneuvered her broomstick and made her way to the school broom shed. After carefully storing her broom, she pulled down her bun, letting her hair fall in messy waves. She was excited to meet her friend Alessia at the Three Broomsticks, one of their favorite spot in Hogsmeade village. They planned to catch up over some butterbeer and then raid Honeydukes, the famous wizarding sweet shop.

She had walked lost in thought, her mind wandering aimlessly as she made her way towards Hogsmeade. Before she knew it, her feet hit the cobblestone path to the village, and Mei's attention was immediately captured by the charming storefronts and bustling crowds. She took her time, strolling along the street and admiring the sights and sounds around her.

As she passed a window filled with sparkling trinkets, Mei felt a sudden pull, prompting her to stop in her tracks and take a closer look. She was drawn to a glittering necklace that seemed to dance in the sunlight, and she couldn't resist stepping inside the shop to inquire about it. The shopkeeper greeted her warmly, eager to showcase his collection of magical jewelry. Mei was fascinated by the stories behind each piece and took her time trying on various necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. She felt a sense of wonder and excitement as she explored the shop, and she knew that this small detour had made her day even more magical. After bidding farewell to the friendly shopkeeper and the playful cat, Mei continued on her way.

Mei continued her stroll through Hogsmeade, she spotted two familiar figures in the distance. She quickened her pace, and as she drew nearer, she recognized her friends, Hux and Otto. Excited to see them, Mei ran up to the pair and jump-tackled them, wrapping her arms tightly around their shoulders. while tippy-toeing so she can steady herself and avoid falling and causing the others to fall.
"My fellow sugar fiends!"
she exclaimed with a grin.
"How are my favorite Gryffindor and second favorite Slytherin today?"

Mei let go of her friends and stood up, grinning from ear to ear.
"I'm so glad to see you guys!"
she said, linking her arms with theirs.
"I'm meeting Alessia at the Three Broomsticks. Let's go get her, Than after we can go to Honeydukes."
she said excitedly, as she started to tug them along in the direction of the cozy pub.

Erik had just finished the last set in his training regimen, sweat dropping from his brow, before blowing out a satisfied sigh. He always enjoyed a good workout and thanked his grandfather profusely within his mind for the habit of keeping his body in shape. Erik was just shifting through the various things he had brought to his little classroom, when he looked outside, and finally realized what time it was! His project would have to wait! Hogsmeade (and a good butterbeer) were calling his name!

So he haphazardly threw the remaining things left into his bag, sprinted from the room, and down to the dungeon for his room. As he was racing through the halls he would smile at the suits of armor along the walls that seemed to be having conversations, arguments, and even the occasional fights with each other! The castle felt so alive to him, he wondered what kind of runes were undoubtedly carved within the castles very walls, cleverly hidden from the publics eyes by either spells or even more complex runic arrays! As he was pondering he almost bumped into someone, but due to his great reflexes as well as fit body, he was able to narrowly avoid them last second! He spun around them, hearing their yelps of surprise, and he casted a quick glance towards their person to make sure that he didn't knock them- or anything they were carrying, over.

"Sorry about that! In a bit of hurry! Just shout your name and I'll make it up to you later!" He yelled over his shoulder. As the person yelled back at him, he gave them acknowledgment by waving his hand in the air, then continued on his way but more focused this time in order to avoid another incident.

A little while later and he was out of the castle in his comfy jacket, long sleeved shirt, pants, boots, his hair tied up in a messy ponytail, and a few days worth of stubble upon his face. A few strands of his hair that he missed were falling over and framing his face. He took a deep breath in, letting the crisp winter air, fill his lungs. Then he set off on his way to the cozy little village. Along the way he was saying his usual greetings to all those he could see, always asking how they were doing as they passed by, or asking if they were getting along within their classes okay.

Erik took in the beautiful, snow covered, land on his way their and enjoyed the sounds of joyful laughter that were in abundance- due to some younger years having some impromptu snow ball fights. He made a promise to join in at some point in the day! With that he continued his quiet, but peaceful, trek towards Hogsmeade. He let out a gentle smile as he saw the buildings come into view and his excitement grew at the promise of having a good butterbeer within the warm confines of the Three Broomsticks!

So much for a restful outing at Hogmeade, Prue thought as she ran about the tea store serving teas and cakes. She had arrived early that morning and her mother wasted no efforts putting her to work for her. Cooking, preparing tables and boiling water, simple tasks but made harder by her height and strength. More than once, she put a little too much pressure on a china mug or teapot and have to drop everything to cast a mending charm on them. Able to repair them was helpful, but she couldn't help feel bad each time she broke something or being annoyed at herself of her lack of control.

"Oh don't be so hard on yourself. Remember how you were when you first started helping." Puddifoot had said in a jovial and encouraging manner the last time Prue broke something. The old moved to Prue side and tapped on the half giant's lower back, the closest the older women could reach. "At least now, you can clean up for yourself. Don't give it a second thought and moved on." She added, before giving Prue more instructions, including picking up deliveries from the back.

That was why Prue did not mind doing work for madam Puddifoot, she took her to put up with Prue's giant tendency and raised her like her own when she did not have to. She would always be grateful, and giving a bit of her field trip to help her out was a small price to pay. Not that she did not wish she could sneak off and meet some of her friends at The Three Broomsticks or get some sweet at Honeydukes. He had already made plans with Echo to rescue her from the work. As much as Puddifoot put her to work, she would never deny her a chance to be with her friends. She knew how much trouble Prue had making friends early in her life. Prue just hoped it was soon.

Pierre was startled when he heard someone speak to him, so involved in his letter and Madam Frou Frou to realize anyone approaching him. Not to mention, he was still not used to being approachable, for several years his elitist reputation made him difficult to approach unless they were within his immediate social circle or risk a tongue lashing or even a curse or jinx. "Oh, hey... Alessia." He replied as he turned to face Allesia and realized who she was. Even Madam Frou Frou gave a coo in greeting, though she seemed to eye her suspiciously.

Pierre had a feeling that he did not know Alessia as much as he would like. They were friendly true but not much beyond that and considering many of Alessia positive traits they should have been much closer. He recovered quickly from his surprise and smiled back at her. "Please, Madam Frou Frou, is a capable companion but conversations tend to be one-sided and one topics are limited." Frou-Frou screeched in protest then looked away in a huff until Allessia's meal was serves, and she turned to eye it with great interest.

"Oh now you have done it." Pierre said with a chuckle. "Now she wasn't to eat your food and is annoyed with me further for her food not arriving sooner."

Otto was literally hopping up and down as he waited for Huxley. The prefect was ready to head off to Hogsmeade. Even when the painting swung open and Huxley stepped out, Otto was still hopping up and down in excitement. “Hello to you too, Hux! You couldn’t find your shoes?” Otto giggled, pausing his hopping for a brief moment to settle down.

“Hux, I’m always ready to get my sweet on.” Otto told the Gryffindor with a grin. “Come on, we have to get the best sweets!” The prefect spoke cheerfully as he began to hop down the stairs and otter looked over at Huxley, "Let us be off then!" Otto told fiz with a big grin as the prefect began to hop down the stairs to head outside towards Hogsmeade with Huxley. "Is there anywhere else you want to head to once we're finished with Honeyduke's? Brews and Stews maybe?" Otto suggested as he was making his way towards the doors to head outside.

Sweet Merlin, it’s so cold outside!

As much as Otto loves the cold weather so that he could wear sweaters, he wanted to hurry up and get to the sweets shop with Huxley. The Slytherin prefect was looking around at all the shops and the many people who were partaking in snowball fights. Hmmm, Otto might have to start a snowball fight later, all in good fun of course. The crunching of snow caught the pine marten's attention, and he turned his head to see what was up.

Someone was rushing their way towards both Otto and Huxley, and as the person got closer, Otto recognized it to be Mei who had proceeded to jump-tackle them. Otter stumbled a little, but otter managed to keep otters balance upright. “Hey Mei! Good to see you, too.” Otto managed to speak. The three sugar fiends. The three sugar fiends who are going to raid politely buy sweets from Honeyduke's.

Otto is… Mei’s second favorite Slytherin?

    Second favorite?

“I’m your second favorite Slytherin? Oh, I’m so hurt!” Otto spoke, dramatically placing a hand on otters chest as otter looked at the Hufflepuff; otter was joking of course. “Hey, I kid of course.” Otto giggled. He was about to ask Mei if she was ready to head off to Honeyduke's with him and Huxley but the Hufflepuff was already speaking about going to The Three Broomsticks where they would be picking up Alessia and then they would head to the sweets shop.

They were going to The Three Broomsticks first? Well, the more the merrier!

Otto turned his head towards the direction of Honeyduke’s before turning his attention back towards both Mei and Huxley. “Alright, we’ll go to The Three Broomsticks to pick up Alessia.” The prefect finally agreed, though he was hoping that they could make it to Honeyduke’s before the sweets shop got too crowded. Then again, Otto would most likely linger around the shop since the warm and inviting.

Of course, Mei was dragging both of them towards the pub.

Angelique had dressed a bit more unusual than the rest of the Hogwarts students. She had dressed for more warmer weather despite it being chilly outside though her body temperature ran a bit higher then others. She kept her long red hair down today letting it fall in soft silky waves to the middle of her back not bothering to fix it more than that. Once she looked herself over seeing the dark circles under her eyes it wasn’t surprising as the full moon had recently happened which left her drained the following week. At least she hadn’t bitten anyone with now a days it was easier to create the potion that kept her docile even if she still needed to be locked in a special room when she transformed. It didn’t take very long to leave the castle joining in with many of the others students heading to the favorite weekends getaway location. However she wondered about where to go before heading into the Three Broomsticks seeing several students already clustered around enjoying a drink her warm brown gaze looking around before landing on Artemis who was currently at a table by himself. She headed over plopping down into the seat across from him before placing her elbows on the table and resting her head in the palms of her hands while looking at him. “Observing the people or the scenery for some art inspiration?”she asked him as she had a feeling it was one of those two things.

She awaited his answer and let her gaze leave him only to look around the place. Once the barkeeps eyes met hers she nodded knowing her usual would soon be on its way to the table. It was something she was looking forward to even if she missed the food from her native country. There were so many things she missed about France however it was rather fun at Hogwarts so it usually kept her mind from feeling any kind of homesick plus with others from France as well it certainly helped. A grin lit up her face as her drink was placed in front of her. “Thanks!” She said before taking a nice long sip enjoying the taste of the liquid as it passed over her tongue. She wished she had eaten more now that she was moving about the feeling of hunger was finally hitting her. Angelique let her attention turn back towards Artemis as he seemed ready to answer her now that they had both settled fully in now.

Artemis had learnt a long time ago that inspiration, as long as one was open to it, could be found nearly anywhere. Even a tiny detail could lead to its birth, a flower could bloom into an intricate design, a flash of colour in the right place at the right time could bleed into a completely new scene - there were no limits, really. Keeping one's eyes and mind open was the key.

The Broomsticks worked well for that. So many people constantly flooded the inn - moving in and out like tides... And some of the clientele really stood out from the crowd, too, a colourful mixture of elegance and peculiarity and eeriness. At times rather suspicious looking, too.

Besides, it was mildly amusing how some of the older customers seemed to flee under the merciless onslaught of teenagers.

And so Artemis' attention was divided between lazily watching all that was happening around him - and sketching, both of the activities done with an air of nonchalance surrounding him like a cloak. A couple new flowers had already joined the composition climbing from the top to the bottom of one page - and the cockatrice was slowly starting to gain more details, too...

But, sadly, nothing new - nothing big - was coming to him just yet.

Here and there he saw familiar faces, some of them better known than others. Admittedly, he didn't have many actual friends; he was well aware that he should perhaps consider that a problem. Still, he watched people a lot from afar, sometimes even went out of his way to bother them a bit - and that possibly gave him even more information than friendships ever would have.

There was, for example, Pierre - sitting with his owl and a letter she had undoubtedly brought him. Through half-lidded eyes, Artemis observed as his relative - distant as he was, though still closer than many other pure-bloods at the school - was joined by a girl that... The blond didn't quite know. Oh, he had seen her before, of course he had, but she wasn't in his - their, really - year for certain. Mmm, a Slytherin, he wanted to say... The Zabini daughter, perhaps? Not unusual company, then.

Nothing about that scene truly drew Artemis' attention, however, perhaps other than the owl's antics - and so he allowed his gaze to keep wandering... While his left hand, the one holding the pencil, moved to a free spot, starting a new little piece there. Lines formed, intentionally simple in nature, spreading a pattern along the edge of the page - framing the cockatrice from one side.

And then there was Hazel; another Slytherin, though one that was more or less Artemis' age, which had given him some opportunities to actually learn more about her. A notebook rested on the table in front of her as well, though - from a quick glance - Artemis didn't think she was drawing in it. No, it looked more like writing... Probably not homework, though. He couldn't imagine her being devoted enough to it to bring it to Hogsmeade.

He was about to turn his gaze away from her, too, seeking something more stimulating - when suddenly another person he recognised sat down by the same table, making one of Artemis' eyebrows rise elegantly. Belladonna was, of course, in the same house as Hazel, so it was perfectly plausible that they could be friends... Or had another reason to spend time together... But Artemis knew Belladonna at least better than to simply assume that - and so he watched with renewed interest... As Belladonna seemed to lean slightly in Hazel's direction first and then recline on her chair - while Hazel... Tensed up, perhaps? He couldn't quite tell from a distance, and yet...

Movement much closer to him caught Artemis' attention - and he instantly, instinctively glanced towards it, catching a flash of orange-red... That heralded Angelique's arrival. Amongst the students of Hogwarts, she was one of those that Artemis actually made an effort for - as caring usually didn't come naturally to him.

And that day she looked... Mostly tired, to be honest, with those shadows under her still pretty eyes.

Her question only drew a thoughtful hum out of the blond's throat at first, but his gaze moved over Angelique's face in the meantime... Before falling down to the pages before him. The simple design he had mindlessly created did show a line of bats in flight... And the sight made one corner of his lips twitch up into a half-smile - though he still sighed lightly before answering.

"Awaiting bloodshed," he said drily, which wasn't that far from the truth. Sometimes Belladonna just had that effect on people... And he supposed he did as well. Still, despite his words, he didn't even glance in her and Hazel's direction at that point - but he did slightly tilt his head that way, subtly pointing towards them... And many other people, of course, because of the crowd between their tables. "So yes, both, really. A splash of red does make for a lovely accent, I have always said that..."

The appearance of Angelique's drink reminded him about his own - and he paused at that point, reaching out for his glass as well. While he wasn't a huge fan of chocolate in general - most of it tasted rather bland in comparison to his favourite kinds back home - he generally made an exception for its liquid form... Especially when the weather got like that. No matter how fascinating the numbness and the burning of the cold could get, how gorgeous the frost and the ice and the snow - as they painted over the world... He still preferred warmer months.

"Though purple is quite something as well," he added, forcing himself to focus on the here and now... And taking a sip of his chocolate before continuing. "Very mysterious. Royal. My mother does have a really effective elixir for those, however. I could ask her to send some soon... If you'd like."

As the pale haired boy walked across the hallways, his mouth was set to a hard line and his gaze was staring hard at the air. He was wearing a white long sleeved shirt with a yellow sleevless jumper and black tie dangling down his chest. Kenzo had a bad day, thats all. But many things could make this boy angry. For instance, falling off his bed, having a sore throat and pestering people trying to talk to him. He was just leaving the library, on bruised his hand from a table. Rage shook his body. He clenched his fists. The dim light of the sun shone through the window, showering light onto the pale haired boy, making him look like an angel and the other half covered by the shade. Quite the contrast.

He wished one of his friends were around. He could just vent to them maybe. Yet he didn't know where they were. Last time he saw them they were in Charms with him. They were teasing him that he looked like a llama with the hair he had. he huffed, recalling that.

"This is so stupid." he muttered to himself. He stopped in the middle of the corridor, before raising his hand up, inspecting the bruise. Purple pulsed through his hand and numbness sizzled through. He wished he could just go to bed, wake up and restart the whole day. He gave an inward groan before dropping his hand to his side. He then continued through the corridor before stopping by the window. He leaned against the wall and took calming breaths. The sun fell onto his hair, making him look like an angel. His beautiful eyes looked down as he took a book out. Maybe this book would get him off his thoughts. He flicked open the book and began to read.

Zack strutted through the busy halls of Hogwarts, flashing his signature smirk and winking at passing students as he searched for his twin brother Cody. Zack asked other students if they had seen him, playfully teasing and flirting with them along the way. After a few inquiries, a group of Ravenclaw students informed Zack that they had seen Cody heading towards the library earlier. Zack thanked them and made his way to the library, his excitement growing with each step. As he entered the library, he scanned the room for any sign of his brother, but couldn't seem to locate him. A hint of frustration crept into Zack's mood as he continued to search the library, determined to find Cody.

As Zack scoured the library for his twin brother Cody, he stumbled upon a group of giggling girls. Though he hoped to find his brother, he didn't want to be dragged into their conversation, so he left the library. When he turned a corner, he spotted Kenzo standing in front of a window, his light blonde hair glistening in the sunlight.

Zack sauntered over to Kenzo with a playful glint in his eye.
"Well, well, well, look what we have here. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and Kenzo is standing here looking like a snack."
Zack couldn't help but look the Gryffindor pretty boy over, That's when he noticed the bruise on Kenzo's hand and leaned in closer.
"Oh no, did someone try to steal your heart again? You better watch out, Kenzo, you're a real heartbreaker~"
he teased.

After teasing Kenzo about his bruised hand, Zack noticed the discomfort on Kenzo's face and quickly became concerned. He lightly grabbed Kenzo's hand and took out his wand. "Let me take a look at that," he said, as he cast the Episkey charm to heal the bruise.
"There you go, good as new."
he added with a smile.

Cody was hiding near the bookcase close to the entrance of the Hogwarts library, waiting for his twin brother Zack to leave. He knew that Zack could be overbearing and he needed some time away from his brother's constant attention. As soon as Zack was out of sight, Cody quietly snuck out of the library and headed towards the Hogwarts grounds.

He walked through the castle's corridors until he reached the entrance hall. From there, he made his way out of the castle and towards the village of Hogsmeade. The walk was refreshing and helped clear his mind.

Cody walked through the snowy village of Hogsmeade, his breath forming small clouds in the chilly air. The cobbled streets were lined with snow, and the roofs of the shops and cafes were dusted with a layer of white. The winter decorations added a festive touch to the village, with garlands and wreaths adorning the storefronts.

As he passed by Honeydukes, Cody noticed the sweets in the window display were coated in a thin layer of frost. The warmth from the ovens of the nearby bakery beckoned him inside, and he was greeted with the aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries.

At The Three Broomsticks, the patrons sat huddled around warm fires, sipping on mugs of hot butterbeer and enjoying hearty meals. Cody could feel the warmth radiating from the pub as he walked by.

Cody walked past The Three Broomsticks, tempted by the warm glow from inside. Instead, he decided to continue exploring the village, taking in the festive decorations and the snow-covered rooftops.

As he walked past the shops, he spotted a group of carolers singing a beautiful rendition of "Deck the Halls." Cody felt a rush of holiday spirit and joined in, singing along with the group.

After the carolers dispersed, Cody made his way to the Owl Post Office to send a letter to his family back home. He carefully penned a message, telling them all about the magical winter wonderland of Hogsmeade and how much he was enjoying his time at Hogwarts. He also put that he would remind Zack to send a message home, if he hadn't already.
As Cody walked back toward Hogwarts, he caught sight of The Three Broomsticks once more. This time, he decided to push himself out of his comfort zone and go inside. However, as he was lost in thought and not paying attention to his surroundings, he stumbled backwards and fell into a pile of snow.

Embarrassed, Cody quickly got up and brushed himself off. You could practically feel the heat coming off of his face as he turned around to apologize to the person he had bumped into.
"I'm so sorry!"
he stammered out, his face turning a dark red. The person he had bumped into was obscured by the falling snow, and Cody couldn't make out their features.

“I’m going to Honeydukes, Do you want anything?” Coriander shouted to her older sister Belladonna who was quickly walking up the cobblestone road. “Bell!” Cori shouted as her sister turned the corner not hearing her. “Well her loss.” Cori said under their breath that lingered in the bitter air.

Cori shook their head frustrated they were once again letting Belladonna get under their skin. They hated that they let her have that control over them, but didn’t know how to break old patterns. They loved them but oh merlin it was not easy, But that's just siblings they thought to themselves.

Cori somberly walked to the sweet shop, their boots crunching against the snow. Cori wasn’t the biggest fan of Hogsmeade’s day. The atmosphere at the castle had been restless for the days leading up to it. Cori had to be stricter with her fellow Hufflepuffs as the house prefect, then usual. Everything in the town was always so crowded, and over stimulating. The cold, the wet, and ice was also a downside. However Honeydukes was the reprieve, the light at the end of the tunnel that made the hellish lead up worth it.

Coriander walked into the charming store of sweets. They barely had time to take in the smell of confections and baked goods wafting through the air, when a 1st year nearly crashed into them. “Watch your step please.” Coriander called out to them but the kid was already dashing down an aisle with some fellow rapscallions.

Cori chuckled to herself softly as she made her way down an aisle. Although it could be a little much she enjoyed the energy the younger years had about hogsmeade. Looking at the shelves Cori collected what she wanted. Having an assortment of Jelly Slugs, Acid Pops, and Sours They made her way to the counter to make her purchase.

Cori bought her sweets, and got herself a lemon tart from the baked goods. Cori left the shop with a smile. Her tart in one hand and her bag of candy in the other. Cori was only a few steps out the door when that first year and her gang bursted out the store knocking her to the jagged ground. With a squishing sound Cori’s tart was now smeared across the ground and their white button up, Her bag of sweets sprawled in the street and snow, her hands scraped up due to bracing her fall with them.

Cori jerked her head to the kids that sent her flying. “You really need to be carefu-” Cori was unable to finish her thought before the friend group ran up the hill one of them shouting out “We really don't care.”

Coriander brushed themselves off her hands stinging from the fall. She grabbed her surviving sweets. With a trembling sigh she made the choice of returning to the castle, wanting to get out of this stained shirt. Plus laying with her cat seemed much more appealing to her right now.

Cori was walking up to Hogwarts looking at her cut up hands when another person bumped into her sending backwards to a pile of wet, fluffy snow. Perfect, they thought to herself. They stood up hearing the person apologize to them and after brushing the snow out of her hair saw it was Cody.

“It's okay.” she said with a pitiful laugh. “Today, ugh has been one of those days.” Cori forced a smile holding back some tears. “S-sorry it’s not you.” she said, stifling some tears.

The sound of footsteps made his sparkling eyes look up. It was Zach. He inhaled deeply and set his lips to a thin line. Zach and he … were friends he guessed. Zach was playful and all, but a bit too much sometimes. At least he knew when to stop. He watched as Zach strutted over, his brown hair bobbing up and down, brown eyes flashing with confidence. He was dressed in a white jacket with a mix of beige and a pattern down the side, with a white shirt and and a few necklaces dangling down with black trousers. zach could look effortlessly handsome sometimes.

Kenzo rolled his eyes. Zach didn’t even waste time doing makeup. Kenzo was usually stuck in the bathroom for at least an hour doing his makeup. Kenzo sighed, closing his eyes, the glitter on his eyelids shining. Zach began speaking, about birds and sun. He didn’t turn to him, but instead replied. “yes, I’m very handsome yet you aren’t.” He deadpanned. It was true, Kenzo did break many people’s hearts. Not purposely. He just didn’t like any of them. He only has eyes for someone else.

He wasn’t in the mood for this. Zach’s eyes wandered over to his hand and his expression dropped. He grabbed it and Kenzo looked away, pouting. He felt the wand tap at his hand and the pain melted away.
“Thanks… I guess.” He muttered.

Echo let out a soft sigh as she looked up at the cloudy winter sky. The slightly too long sleeves of her hoodie hid her hands as she meandered aimlessly through the shopping district. Enchanted candles cast dappled light where the sun wasn't able to shine, shadows lingering and flickering as the flames danced to the whistling of winter winds. She fought back the need to sneer as several underclassmen made their way into Zonko's. The youngest looking said several things about frog-spawn soap, dung bombs, and ruining the women's Slytherin dormitory. It was the sort of thing Echo would have reported to administration, if it were going to affect her in any way, shape, or form.

Instead, she simply watched as the last one's cloak got caught on the door handle and caused him to unceremoniously collide with the ground. With a shrug she hurried ahead, a slight skip in her step as she made her way to the tea shop where Prue was waiting. The frosty fingers of winter caressed her as she walked, the cold finding its way in through the holes in her jeans, it would have been enough to make her shiver if she weren't moving at a slightly hurried pace.

A little over halfway to her destination, her locket made a soft chime, the vibrations of which traveled down her sternum, seeming to reverberate all the way down into her core. "E" had returned. Her left hand reached up, the locket resting in her palm as she undid the clasp that held it close. She was greeted by the animated image of herself that she had spent the better part of two years training. E's face was a little rounder, she had been painted before Echo lost all that baby fat, after all.

The locket housed an oil-painting copy of Echo's room at home, done in the style of a Rembrandt. E herself had been rendered in a Corbet style of realism, making her almost appear to pop out of the locket. Throwing herself onto the oil canvas bed, E turned her attention outward and gave Echo a smug grin.

"Back so soon..?"

"You told me to return the moment I found something noteworthy."

"Go on."

"So I did."

E's anachronistic temperament was a new development, one that Echo had accidentally been teaching her lately as her patience started to wear thin. Rolling her eyes, Echo pretended to yawn, "That reminds me, I meant to pick up some paint thinner while we-"

"Artemis found the Cockatrice," E blurted out.

Echo's footfalls slowed to a stop, just a few paces away from Madam Puddifoot's. "What?"

"Your guess is as good as mine. I was tailing that Slytherin brat, the one with multiple wands, into the Three Broomsticks; which is when I noticed what Artemis had doodled. I thought it was a coincidence at first, but after running back to Hogwarts to check, it's definitely the statue in question."

Without speaking Echo stared at her self-portrait, it didn't appear to be messing with her, though E's jests had been getting admittedly more and more elaborate. "If it isn't one thing..." She cursed silently and strode through the door of Madam Puddifoot's.

"Prudennccee!" A whine crept into Echo's voice, the practiced sound fading away as her best friend's name left her lips. "Prue are you done helping around the shop? We have urgent matters to attend to. J’ai besoin d’aide." She rattled off the last part in French, perfectly aware that practically no one in Hogwarts spoke it.

"My brother is sticking his nose where it doesn't belong again." Her eyes rolled involuntarily at the thought of Artemis. She wasn't sure who had started the rumor, but by now basically everyone thought they were siblings, not that many tested the veracity of that.

She came face to face with Prue's adoptive mother, "Madam Puddifoot," she curtsied slightly, a motion that would have looked a lot less awkward if she weren't in a hoodie and jeans. "May I borrow Prue? We have a date with destiny at the Three Broomsticks."

Fenrir wasn’t in a particularly good mood this morning. He was rather tired and would have rather slept in though his twin had other plans. Azrael had sent someone from his own house to wake him up so they could head to Hogsmeade together. He felt onto a slight annoyance but seeing his twin once he was at the entrance of Hogwarts made him smile.”Good morning.”he said greeting her with a ruffle of her hair. Azrael had glared a bit fixing her hair before smiling warmly at him. “Alright let’s go once there we can stay together or split up whatever you want.” She said to him. Fenrir nodded some. “There’s a few things I wanna buy so we can split up at first then meet back up later?” He said with a tone of question towards the end. Azrael tilted her head long raven hair was braided out of the way today so the braid swung some as she moved. “That sounds good to me.” She said as they started their journey to Hogsmeade. It wasn’t long before the twins arrived giving each other a side hug before going their separate ways. Azrael heading for the little postal shop wanting to send an owl out for a special occasion. She was sending an order form in for a pet one she had picked out for her twin as a gift. While Fenrir headed towards the Three Broomsticks wanting to get a drink before starting his day.

Once inside Fenrir looked around seeing all kinds of familiar faces within the place. His gaze landing on Hazel in particular so he headed that way seeing Belladonna as well. “Good morning you two.” He greeted before taking a seat at their table with them. He stretched his legs out for a moment before sitting back in the seat normally he would order a butterbeer though he wasn’t sure that’s what he wanted. “So what’s going on with you two today?”he asked them curious about what their plans for today were. He knew there were a few places he needed to go after this so he wondered if they would be going to the same places. After a few minutes he ordered himself a drink since that was the whole reason for entering the Three Broomsticks in the first place.

Prudence Chase

Prue could not help smirk. Even at the backyard of the tea shop picking up the last of the deliveries, she could hear her best friends call for her from inside. Prue never though she would ever have a friend like echo let alone her as a best friend, and that wasn't because she though her own half giant blood prevented her having friends. Echo had not made the best first impression with her arrogant and sharp manner which Prue could not help reply in kind and wished to knock her down a peg. The pair clashed as the mutual competitiveness came out force, this rivalry was one of the main reason Prue to study and do well to classes, unable to let echo be top of the class. The score board seemed to remain equal though annoyingly leaning to Echo's favour, however after some time things change. Rivalry turned to respect and after some teacher intervention grouping them together for certain project the two grew closer. They saw a different side to each other and soon became firm friends though the old rivalry never truly ended.

She set the box aside and entered, hearing Echo complaining about her brother and soon having to greet Madam Puddifoot. Her large form only just came out into the main shop area to see her adoptive mother consider it. "Well... We are about to get very busy here..." The old proprietress began to say looking thoughtful.

"Oh come on mum. I cant let Echo just go on her own to face destiny." Prue interjected with slight pleading before indicating towards Echo. "Poor things will likely get into trouble without me to get her out of it." She added, teasing her friend.

Madam Paddfoot gave a sign before nodding. "Fine, fine... You girls go have fun. Not too much though... Rosmerta was this close to banning you when she found you two in the basement."

"Nothing like that, dont worry mum." She said wasting no time grabbing her coat and throwing on herself before rushing over to Echo side, towering over her as she looked down at her with an excited smile as she put on her house branded scarf around her neck. "Come on lets go before she changes her mind." She whispered hurriedly as she ducked under the front door.

Sepokku Sepokku

An upturned smile slowly formed at the corners of Echo's mouth while Prudence convinced her mom to let the two spend the rest of the afternoon how they pleased. By the time the dynamic duo were starting out the door, her smile had graduated to a full-blown grin. Echo followed her friend out of the shop, appreciative of the slight berth most people gave Prue due to her intimidating size. When they first met, she had been jealous of the half-giant's size and strength; as they grew to know each other, she just became glad that Prue had taken a liking to her instead of continuing their rivalry.

Not that their rivalry had stopped, per se, just that it took different forms these days. Like during their last duel, Echo had excitedly tried to set up a string of charms only to be blasted out of the arena before they properly coalesced into the desired effects. In retrospect, it probably wasn't the most astute plan to rely mostly on charms against someone who had scored as high on the O.W.L.S. as Prue did, but life was all about learning from mistakes.

Hogsmeade patrons parted around Prudence like water crashing against stone, it was interesting to watch; people tended to do it without even meaning to. Regardless of if they had seen her yet or not, most followed those who had and walked a ways around her. Fidgeting with the string that controlled how tight her hood was, Echo sped up slightly as she adjusted to keep up with her friend's gait, "Soo, Artemis is onto us." She finished the statement with a matter-of-fact tone, despite not knowing whether or not that was actually true.

Grabbing Prudence's sleeve, Echo gave it a slight tug and led her down an alternative path to the Three Broomsticks, one that circumvented Honeyduke's; the last thing she needed was to get distracted by chocolate frogs again.

With the floodgates being opened, she excitedly caught Prudence up, "E was snooping about as usual, and you know Artemis, always doodling something or other in the margins of his notes; so anyways I guess he had been flipping through them at the wrong time because one of his drawings caught our eye."

She paused to take a deep breath before spilling the rest of her thoughts, "E seems convinced that it's the same statue, but the fact that none of my charms went off means that even if Art knows where the statue is, he has yet to investigate it for some reason, hence our current plan of attack." As if to punctuate her point, she stood on one foot and raised both of her hands into the air in a mock martial art pose.

"I was hoping you could use you wiles and charm to... divulge from him what it is he knows."

Alenia sighed for the 100th time as she relaxed in the common room. Her ebony tresses falling over a couch arm in a curtain of ink. Piercing mercury-dipped silver-blue orbs shifted slightly as she heard the telltale sound of scales brushing the floor. A soft smile twitched across her lips fondly as her pet approached. Nia glanced around before lowering her arm, opening her mouth to let the soft sibilant hissing noise come from her lips. "Did you have a good hunt Rani?" Her voice echoed through the room softly as the Blue-scaled viper wound her way up to her favorite resting place, flicking a tongue gently against the soft skin of the newly inherited elf.

Rani had hunted before deciding to return to her mistress, knowing every entrance and nook/cranny as only a snake can know. Her blue body made its way across the floor as she returned to Nia. Her own hisses soothing the girl as she responded to the gently asked question. "I did indeed have a good hunt; why are you here? Should you not be with others of your own?" Her tongue flicked out again, catching the worry that the elven girl felt before the snake huffed (well, huffed as well as a snake could anyways). "Why don't we go to the library, and you can finish your work?" Rani offered gently, smirking as her mistress perked up at the thought of the quiet sanctuary she often enjoyed.

"Rani, you are a genius!" Alenia murmured fondly, grabbing her bag as she made sure her ears were well covered before she left the common room, slipping out and easily making her way to the library. Her footsteps were light and quiet as she strode through the hallways of Hogwarts, passing other students and ignoring the whispers as eyes found the dark blue venomous snake around her neck. Striding into the quiet place, she found a quiet table in the corner and settled herself down. Her fingers reached into her bag to pull out her potions book and set to work writing notes and reading. Immersing herself deeply in her studies. The sound of her quill on her parchment echoed faintly as the soft sound of pages turning delicately relaxed the Slytherin. Her eyes focused solely on the words before her. One hand stroked Rani's scales delicately, soothing her anxiety and relaxing Nia even more.

Prue looked around as people seemed to part to let her pass, some out of basic consideration and some out of slight fear and mistrust of the local populace of her. In truth, she could not fully blame their mistrust purely on their inherent mistrust of her kind, her combative nature and anger did cause some trouble in the area in previous years. Still, she always thought she acted from the best of the community and the people she cared for they should have known that, right? Well, there are some who did, others saw her as endless trouble and rue the day she was left at the door. It was saddening, that 16 years of life she hadn't turned some mind yet.

It had its benefits, thought, and she couldn't deny that walking through the crowds with ease was a handle and got them towards honey dukes a lot quicker than she thought. However, Echo seemed to have other ideas as she guided her to a side street instead. It was a little disappointing, as she did hope to stock up on sweets, but a look in Echo face showed that there was a reason for this change of plans. She listened as Echo explained what was going on.

Echo's quest to map up out the entirety of Hogwarts seemed like an interesting and fun idea, there was secret upon secret in the school with all its history. It had the opportunity of learning, both of lost spells and history. However, this rumour of a secret place build by Slytherin himself seemed to filled her with worries, the more she learned about him the more she disliked everything about him. A blood elitist and a dark wizard, anything to do with him was likely more dangerous than anything they had faced so far, and her obsession from echo was concerning.

"Really, you and are worried about doodles?" She asked, clearly disbelieving that it was anything to worry about, but she knew better than arguing the point. It was not the worst thing, chatting with Artemis and his friends, she did not understand Echo rivalry with her brother in any case. She sighed. "Fine, I will see what I can do. What are you going to do?" She asked, beginning to walk the rest of the way to Three Broomstick.

Anatolie Ignatiev
Racing down the snowy and winding pathways to Hogsmeade wasn't something one would normally find Anatolie Ignatiev doing. Yes she could be energetic, after all she was a dancer and needed to be. But her calm demeanor and unrushed personality lent itself to leisurely strolls rather than the hurried pace she was currently taking. The reason that snow crunched underfoot at a rapid cadence was because Ana was terribly late. It seemed that while she'd been taking her sweet time getting ready, the rest of the school had decided to race their way towards Hogsmeade without her. How awfully rude.

With puffing breaths, and by the grace of God, Ana arrived to the entrance of Hogsmeade without slipping on ice or twisting her ankle. Other students were milling about a long with older wizards and witches and despite the chilly air, Ana felt warm. She resigned herself for window shopping, maybe bumping into a friend (surely they'd all be at the Three Broomsticks), or simply enjoying the brisk air and a mug of something hot when the second option set itself squarely in her line of sight. Through the window of Zonko's, Ana spotted one of her dear friends, Tapioca. Excitedly, Ana crossed the street to the entrance of Zonko's and pushed open the door. The bell above chimed out her arrival in a decidedly muggle fashion.

"Tap!" Ana called as she rounded a corner and spotted her friend.

"How are you, prieten? Did you finish your errands? I remember you mentioning them last week," Ana inquired, gently placing a hand on the taller girl's shoulder as she greeted her.

"I was thinking of getting something at the Three Broomsticks if you'd like to come with? I'm sure everyone else is there as well!"

Ana took hold of Tap's wrist and questioningly tugged her in the direction of the door, not ready to brave the chill, but excited to sit and talk with her friend over a warm drink.

"Has anyone asked you to the Yule Ball since last we talked? Or maybe you have asked someone? I haven't asked anyone and I don't think anyone is going to ask me. If it turns out that way, maybe we should go together as friends? I do hope someone asks you though. Not because I don't want to go with you, of course not. But because I think it would be very sweet if someone was fond of you. Also you could wear matching outfits?"

For someone so shy, Ana could always ramble up a storm around Tapioca.
