Okay, since
RageOfInfinity
is having problems with being online regularly, I am taking the liberty of editing the initial post a little so that all the new players know what has happened in the meantime.
So, the RP is still open and will, probably, be open all the time. Due to the restructuring and some changes to the initial plan, the RP has become to big to manage on RPN and has, since, moved to a new location. The connection with RPN is not severed, of course, and most of the coordination is still done through here. The link to the site was provided above, but if it gets removed due to advertisement rules, please feel free to contact one of the administrators for extra information (the administrators will be listed beneath).
So, the main changes are as follows:
1) We are now accepting students of all ages, adult characters, Hogwarts staff (some positions have been filled, though) and Ministry Officials (this group is kind of necessary). The initial limit is now lifted, so you can develop your characters more freely.
2) The initial plot has been postponed as to allow the students to grow and develop and a new plot (Arc 1) has been put in place. In brief, the plot revolves around a mad dark wizard from Wales infatuated with H. P. Lovecraft, who wishes to revitalize the dark forces from the author's work, believing they are real. The plot is quite macabre and will evolve bizarre aspects of magic including human sacrifices, necromancy and whatnot. It starts slowly, with students and people disappearing under mysterious circumstances. The initial plot will commence once this one is finished.
3) The RP has become an open world setting and allows for much character development and plotting possibilities. The possibilities are almost limitless.
4) There are classes in place and student characters are required to attend classes, write homework and pass exams. All will be, of course, done within the RP. A schedule will be put in place.
5) The RP still hasn't started but will start soon. Today or tomorrow. You're, of course, free to join later on without any problems.
