Crystal was born to a muggle-blooded mother who never attended Hogwarts, nor knew of its existence, and to a non-wizard father. And at just 11 she left home.
Upon departure, she swore she missed her family and was reluctant to leave, but, alas, she was too young to understand that Hogwarts was a much-needed escape. And after receiving a letter from Hogwarts at age 11 informing him that he wasn't any "ordinary" kid, he left his second home carrying with him a sense of adventure, promising that he'd write and visit whenever he could to his proud, pleased parents.

Maurelle is born to two rather famous wizards: Newt and Tina Scamander. Despite that, and partly because for that, she had a pretty decent childhood. She and her brother have a good connection with their parents and are pretty happy, even though they can get a bit busy. Regardless, their parents still try to make time.
Once they hit the age of 11, even more wonderment and excited entered their lives. Instead of being introduced to all these creatures by their father and going on random travels with them, they now got to attend Hogwarts and begin their lessons on being a proper witch or wizard.
Their first year was definitely.. interesting. They were swamped by students that knew of her parents fame - either genuinely curious or just wanting to use them for their fame ( that kind of use was more prevalent as they grew older though).
That led to Maurelle foolishly trusting people too easily and befriending people that'd walk all over her and even her brother. Luckily, she realized with a low heart and adapted to it, shutting them out.. It was more of a problem for her brother however.
After that, she was seen as rather reserved and a 'prude'. Maurelle focused on studies and didn't have a lot of friends or talked to many. She's a rather smart girl and worked her way up the ranks of her class. There was of course some pressure on her, considering her parents.. she eventually tried to ignore it and it again affected her brother more than her. His bio is similar to his sister for obvious reasons- However, he had a different sort of pressure when entering Hogwarts. He's expected to be some sort of great Caretaker of Magical Creatures, much like his father, but he wishes to be something else. Since he's been young, he's always wanted to become a singer. He has never really told his parents of this, worried they'd disprove.
Throughout his years, he's been rather popular - especially with the girls. However, people were able to easily manipulate them and have them do this and that- Sigh.
