Welcome to RpN!
If you go to Personal Details (click your username in the top right by the message and notification icon), you should be able to click the avatar image to change it. There should be a small page that pops up, and a button that says, "Choose image". Click it. Once you've selected a desired image, it should show up. You should be able to drag the image around to show the desired content. Most of the time the entire image is not visible in the avatar.
