I don't have much in the way of plot, but I'm basically taking the idea of mechanics I've made for a fandom role play and putting them here for someone else to come along an put a plot to it. I'm aiming for this to be a mix of fantasy, horror, and small elements of dice to keep things fair.

Basically, the mechanics of the role play would divide the role players into two or more groups, with Group A being the smallest and Group B (and others groups if needed) being the larger one(s).

Group A would be the main cast, and the role players would get one character each. The role play would focus around those characters and what they do. Role players in this group would have to be very detailed in their posts, and make relatable character that the other groups would enjoy reading more on and would want to interact with.

Group B would consist of a larger portion of the role players, and will basically work as a group to set the tone, offer choices, role play expendable characters, and generally do everything a GM would do. Mostly, this group will be leading the story. They'll set up a group conversation off the thread to discuss plots, hold votes, and make characters, while leaving the main cast in the dark. That's right: both the role players and characters in Group A have no clue what's going to happen until it happens.

No resets, no do overs. One life, once chance. We'll have a waiting list composted of the people in the other group on a first come, first served bases to fill holes made by dying main cast members. If you are in the main cast and you die, you're moved to Group B and can help decide on what goes on behind the scenes.

Sound fun to anyone?

Interesting concept to say the least, and possibly an interesting plot give me a shout if any interesting plot ideas come up might be able to help a bit if you want might even join. I'm a veteran author on Fanfiction.com so I deal with plot and theme decisions alot.

@kenryuko I'll need all the help I can get setting up a basic plot. Most of it is going to be character-driven, and led by the larger group, so having something really well fleshed-out isn't too important. Just a general idea, perhaps.

I'll help where I can, and I'll send any plot ideas when I can think of one, others wise just tell me anything about plots or ideas you get I'll help refine them a bit

I honestly like this. It's a great idea.

Maybe we can have it where the characters and the story-drivers are both different creatures, with the characters being stronger physically, and the main reason they have to be careful is because the others have the numbers advantage.

Soooo interested in this! Let me know if you need anything, I'm more than wiling to help out.

I was thinking more along the lines of one large, unseen monster controlled by the larger group. The main idea is that the larger group doesn't really have characters, but will be controlling the story; writing out descriptions of scenes, giving the characters choices, playing extras that would die off or not be long-term characters... The characters can be anything, but I was thinking the main adversary would be a monster, something creepypasta in nature.

all reasonable ideas but wouldn't it make more senses for the group to be a higher being if some sort that doubles as the main antagonist... Just thoughts though

I love the idea is of this. I really don't mind what we do with it. :V as long as it's a thing

Sounds like something that should be in dice but I'll bite. I run a dungeons and dragons club in my local area where I'm the DM. I'd be happy to be in group B, if I may

To be quite honest, I'd like group A. I like to be surprised. And even if I am killed off I will remain in Group B afterwards. :3

Seems like we have enough backers now. I'll work on the thread today, and ping everybody when it's up.
