History
WaterCrest was a Government Facility, for hundreds of years, ever since the Original God-Killing days. Where Godship was passed down from whoever could master the powers the best, and actually kill a god. Since the old days, when the dogs liked humans, and didn't mind sharing powers, or seeing how strong their creations could get. But that was the past. Before the new gods arrived. An odd group of out of country people. They seemed fine at first, asking to stay with WaterCrest to do some studying, using the facilities library, to hone their powers more. Abuse their training rooms and members. And when enough time passed in the short period they were there. They challenged the gods, who couldn't turn down a challenge. With accepting, that's where it went wrong. The first girl to challenge the main god, she played with the blood in his very body. Toying with him, moving him with her hands, a smile never leaving her face. It was apparent, these people wanted only one thing.To be the gods.
And they got it, with each of them against their own god, they all eventually won. Taking down the own gods, being gifted their powers and life. Their knowledge and right to rule as the new gods. The new gods, who've now ruled for almost 2 million years, and have changed the very fabric of this world. Magic is given out in small doses, no one could use it because it was so weak. But WaterCrest, was able to manufacture a small device called an Augment to hone the magic energy in someone and allow it to be used. Of course, Augments are hard to obtain. But so is everything else. In this world, the New Gods see it as a playground. Playing with the lives of the being, causing all-out destruction and war. It was power abuse at its finest, but so was WaterCrest. That was until other places around the world were able to create their own Augments. Allowing for the war to be on even playing grounds. But WaterCrest was still the strongest. Because they're were everything originated from. The god's power, the augments, WaterCrest was the center of the world. They do it the best, with the class system, the ability to supercharge and sync augments. WaterCrest is the Superior Military, and always will be.
Augments.
Augments are a device surgically placed into someones back along their spine between the ages of 7 and 11, for the best results. After its placed, the device will slowly knit itself into the owners neural-system, along with the magic flow of their soul. Once it's completely in tune with the owners body, it'll assign a colour to the persons Augment, along with slowly creating a new design for its Augment Lines, which appear when it's in use.
Augments, allow the user to master one or two magic abilities normally.
Augments also will create a Sync ability, which most of the times doesn't relate to the users normal ability, similar to their supercharge ability. Both are special, and more powerful then their base magic.
However, not everyone can use syncs or supercharge. Its hard to master, but most can.
Supercharges can fry your augment if not done properly.
Syncing can cause physical harm, if not practiced, or if sync rate with another user is too low.
Why are you At WaterCrest?
The world isn't the best currently. Economy are low, there's war, constant fighting, death on every corner for people trying to create their own augs, or steal from others. In a time of crisis, your family decided to give you up to WaterCrest, they wanted a better life for you, or did they just want the money to help them live? You don't know your family, your sibilings. You know nothing about your heritage except for what is shown from blood test, and what the Coachs tell you. Your life before WaterCrest has been long forgotten, but do you really care?
