His Brother's Best Friend. (BxB PenBlade1326 x Harbinger)

Andrew walked home with his friend and teammate Jacob after a practice. He was enjoying himself and didn't notice Hayden following behind them. "Thanks for letting me stay the night, I'm having some troubles at home right now and I just need to stay away for a little bit. He continued to walk and enjoy himself.

Jacob gave his best friend a smile. "No problem man, it's gonna be a damn good weekend." Jacob said to Andrew as they walked side-by-side. As Hayden walked a few feet behind his brother and his brother's friend, he held his College Algebra book in hand, reading it as he walked behind them on the way home. Not very normal reading material, but he wanted to study on the way home...as usual, memorizing formulas and solving equations in his head. Nerd-alert! Jacob didn't glance back at Hayden, his attention focused on Andrew while the two spoke as they walked.

"I hope so, this party is going to be amazing. Are you're sure you're parents are going to be fine with it while they are gone for the weekend." Andrew dropped his bag and began to shoot around with jacob. He caught a glance of what Hayden had been reading wondering how he can remember all those formulas and equations when he couldn't even remeber what the name of it was. Let alone remember the whole thing and answer it in his head.

Jacob shot around with Andrew. "They're fine, as long as nobody ends up dead or pregnant, they don't mind what goes on!" He said. Hayden walked up the steps of the porch, bumping into the door like a klutz, forgetting to watch where he was going while he read. He let out a quiet oof! before opening the door and walking inside the house. Their parents had left a few hours ago while he and Jacob were at school. So the boys had the house to themselves for the weekend, plenty of food ready, plenty of emergency numbers left behind by an over-protective mother. Hayden sat on the couch inside, reading his book and studying more.

Andrew let out a small wince when he saw Hayden bump into the wall. "What are we going to do with Hayden, he doesn't like to do things with other people. He only reads his books and studies everyday." Drew walked back inside and placed his bags in the guest room before going before going back down stairs sitting next to Hayden. He looked at the problems he was trying to solve and was even more confused when he saw how intricate they were.

Hayden didn't notice at all when Andrew sat beside him. The complex and highly difficult equations were like 2nd grade math to him. He didn't look at all troubled by the equations. What was he, a human calculator? Jacob walked inside and into the kitchen. "Aye, you hungry Andrew?" He called, opening the fridge. Hayden's eyes danced on the page like it was a fine novel. After a few moments, he shut the College Algebra book and put it in his backpack with his other giant textbooks and binders. The thing weighed a ton. He stood up, again, not noticing Andrew beside him and he picked up his bag, carrying it up the stairs with ease.

"wha- no, no thanks. I'm fine for now" Andrew went up the stairs a few minutes after Hayden did and found him sitting in his room doing nothing. He slowly enetred the room and knocked on the door frame. "sorry if I'm interrupting you Hayden but how do you do all that stuff with the formulas. You're only in the tenth grade but even I get stumped with those problems and you just brezze right through them." Andrew was interested why he was alswyas so uiet and by himself.

"Alright." Jacob called back, his mouth full of food now. While Hayden sat in his room, he glanced over at Andrew in the door frame. He shrugged. He had some people skills. Despite being antisocial. "It's just easy to me...I guess it's like child's play. I've always been good at math...and science...and literature...comes naturally to me I guess." He replied, sitting in his desk chair.

"Well that explains it, were having a small party tonight. I was wondering if you want to come and join us tonight. I know that you usually do you're own thing butit could be good for you to meet other people. Just think about it and maybe you might have some fun" He gave Hayden a small smile before going to take a shower and clean up for the party they were going to have in a few hours.

Hayden only shrugged after Andrew left to shower up. He closed his bedroom door, pondering the thought of joining the party. He didn't know for sure if he'd go or not..he planned to stay in his room and study while listening to some music or watching a movie. He pulled out his notebook for English and began writing a short story due Monday to pass time as he thought it over. Jacob didn't shower, instead he went up to his room beside of Hayden's and changed into some different clothing.

Andrew comes out of the shower and loses focus on which toom he walks into after talking with. He walks into Hayden's room by accident in a towl only before he notices. "sorry about that, I lost my way." Andrew rushes out of the room in embarrasment and rushed to his room to change before heading doenstairs and waiting for the guests to arrive.

Hayden only noticed Andrew out the corner of his eye. Not reacting at all to the towel-wearing athlete. He simply finished the beginning to his short story and putting it away. He closed his door again after Andrew left, locking it so he could be alone. He still hadn't decided to join the party so he turned on his computer and browsed the web for a short while. Jacob joined Andrew downstairs, waiting for guests to arrive.

Andrew headed to the kitchen and could see Jacob had been pulling out alcohol and olacing it on the kitchen Island. "What are you doing man, I thought we weren't going to have alcohol at this party. I'm not sso sure about this man, what if somebody gets hurt" Andrew starts to get a little nervous when he starts seeing hard alcoholnans spirits being pulled out.

Jacob shrugged. "Relax, everything'll be okay. Trust me, I know the kids coming tonight, and they know how to handle themselves while drinking." He assured. Jacob had been kind of cocky, which wasn't a bad thing...just who he was. And he did know these kids coming...let's hope he knew them enough. Hayden remained upstairs in his room, alone and isolated as the first few guests arrived.

"I hope so man, If something bad happens and zi get arrested. My life will be ruined and I can kois that tryout good bye" Andrew tried to calm down and begwn to hang out with the guests watching so,e of them begining to drink alreqdy including Jacob. When it started to get darker and the rest of the people showed up and the party ws in swing, Andrew was still worried but was enjoying himsellf and staying sober.

The party raged on through the night, people drinking, having a good time, enjoying themselves. Hayden remained up in his room all night, out of sight, out of mind. He started to think about Andrew and how kind he was for the offer...but he shrugged it off and continued studying. The music blasted in the house, making it harder for Hayden to focus. Someone has spiked the only non alcoholic beverage there. It wasn't strong...but whoever drank it would get a little tipsy. Still in control, however. Someone gave Andrew a glass of it and watched he drank it, the alcohol minor and not very strong. Hayden remained upstairs.

After drinking what he though what a non-alcoholic bevrage, he felt a little different and a little tipsy. Getting a headache from the loud music he walked up stairs and tried to go to his room but saw it was occupied and he knocked on the only room that he knew was quiet. "Hayden, it's andrew. Can you let me in please, it's loud every where else and I just need a quiet place to get my headache down."

Hayden was buried in textbooks and notes for multiple classes, studying like a madman. He heard Andrew and sighed softly. "Coming," he said and walked to the door, unlocking it and letting him in, closing the door behind Andrew. He didn't care where Andrew sat, so Hayden sat back on his bed in the middle of his giant circle of books and notes, resuming his studying, looking almost like a genius from the movies. He had let Jacob come up before during parties for similar situations, so why not do the same for Andrew?

Andrew went into Hayden's room and was shocked to see everything all neat and organized. He saw all the books and notes spralewed on his bed, he saw some of the things and was confused by some of the things that he has neer seen before. "I'm sorry if I'm bothering you but after I had my drink a major headache started to hit me rough. Wish you could've been down there with us, there's ssome cute girls that might've been interested in you and that smart mind of yours" Since it was his first time with alcogol in him, he didn't think much about what he said.

Hayden chuckled slightly, once again buried in his work. Books filled all the shelves in his room, papers stacked everywhere. Hayden was like a human library...living in another library. "I don't think girls would be too interested in me. Nor I in them, to be honest." He said. He didn't make it public he was attracted to boys...though he had no friends, everyone already rejected him...so if anyone found out he liked boys, it didn't matter to him. Still, no one knew for sure. "Why aren't you going after them? You're more desirable than I am." He said, solving what looked like a 14-step equation.

(Goodnight! I'll post again tomorrow as soon as I'm able! :) )

"I have to watch what I do. At the end of the year I have a major tryout with one of the biggest basketball teams in the country and If I make one mistake my lofe is ruined. Plus I'm dealing with some other things that are taking my time and will just make it worse if I have a relationship at the moment." Drew never thought he would have a relationship boy but if he did he would be fine with it and would care for him either way. "Thabks for letting me stay in here, it's getting to rowdy out therefor me.
@PenBlade1326 good morning

(@Harbinger Morning cx)

"No problem. And I know what you mean...too many people...too rowdy down there." Hayden said quietly, nose buried in notes and textbooks. He closed one of his massive textbooks, finished studying with it, while using 4 more. All he did was study...or read...why exactly? He hardly paid any attention to Andrew, not because he was rude, but because he was...well....socially awkward? An unattractive trait at best. He continued studying as Andrew stayed in his room with him.
(I think he's a weird cookie...I make him weird enough? lol)

Andrew watched Hayden as he read through each text book like it was a short story and was amazed about how he could do that when he would only read half a page of a college text book and falls asleep instantly. After he sat in there for an unknown time of silence, Andrew took the text book out of Hayden's hand and forced him to have a normal conversation. "I've been seeing you in those books and never having a decent conversation, we're going to have one right now and there will be no text books in your hands for a while. I know that you're in the shadow of your brother and no one pays attention to you due to how quiet you are. I want to help you with that, even though it seems I have the best life, that's a lie in it self. If I'm going to try and better my life I should at least help someone else and that one is you."
