❄ The Sage ❄
"Always," Bri insisted, letting Piper have her pick of the snacks hidden away in her duffel bag. One might have thought there was a magazine stashed in there somewhere, but, upon further inspection it was easy to see snacks upon snacks with seemingly no end in sight, they did cover the bottom of the bag after all. Brindle unraveled several layers of her sleeve to glance at the time on her watch.
"There are lots of Beatles museums to check out in Liverpool, if we get the time," Brindle directed to Quinn - it seemed a happy point to their trip, if it ever happened. Her glance wavered over Harper for a bit, just the look of his sick face was enough to get her teary-eyed some days, though luckily today was not one of them! Brindle nibbled at the edges of a Chocolate Digestive, she'd never grown to like the flavor of the cookie biscuit - but could it ever take a person back. There was no doubt she was toting them around in her bag when Harper was finally forced to converse with her in the real world do to a school assignment. Though they'd been chatting away through messengers since their cringy twelve-year old selves decided to pick up low definition cameras and roll footage on some artsy rain shots then sync them with musical tracks without any care for context, the fact they went to the same schools since childhood was more of a bane then a help to their friendship! Chatting behind a screen was comfortable, whereas face to face? So intimidating, a great conduit for ruining their mystique online personas. As it turned out, however, they got along quite alright either way which was a refreshing spin on their friendship, what, with them overcoming the vast majority of bumbling about trying to look cool their earlier friendship consisted of.

PIPER X FORESTER

Piper gave a thankful grin to Bri as she cracked open a kinder surprise, her favorite (although bizarre for a teenage girl) snack. She was glad that Bri had packed a few, seeing how Piper couldn't remember anything for the life of her. She was always greatly under-prepared.

She sucked in a cold breath of cigarette and perfume flavoured air. Her lungs were taken aback by the taste. A cough escaped her now scratched throat.

Piper looked back at her friends. A deep, somber mood flushing over her. A feeling of not belonging stirred in her chest. She had been a bit of a new addition, befriending the group last year. She didn't understand many of their jokes and found herself left out. She knew they cared, but her mind still played tricks on her.
