Realistic or Modern High School

Ivy looked behind her and saw neither boys looking at her. She took a very quick left. Ivy was homeless and lived in a shelter with her mom. She quickly entered the building embarrassed.

Connor noticed the boys nervousness, and decided to change the subject. "Hey, dude. Do you want to come over and play some xbox? I have some cool games I think you'd like."

He turned his head anxiously to the left, waiting for the boys answer. Thats when he noticed Ivy creeping into an odd building.

"Hey! Ivy!" He hollered towards her. Maybe if she spent time with him, she'd find out he wasn't such a bad person. "Wanna come over to my house?"

Ivy froze and slowly turned around. She sighed deeply. "Yeah, sure." She shouts back. Ivy makes her way back to Connor. He was fairly attractive.

"I c-c-can't. Sorry." Sticky whispered. "M-m-may-maybe some ot-other time?" He looked nervously at Ivy. Sticky was going to be late home. This isn't good.

Connor grinned and pumped his fists when Ivy accepted his invitation. Maybe they could actually become friends. His grin however didn't stay long when Sticky rejected.

"C'mon man. I got the newest Black Ops if you're interested in that. I also have 2K16 if you're into basketball. It'll be fun." He begged.

Ivy noticed how nervous Sticky seemed. She put her hand on his shoulder, an attempt to calm him. "Sticky actually was telling me about his sick dog. He should probably head home. Feel free to text me. I will see you tomorrow." Ivy tried to save Sticky from this uncomfortable situation.

Sticky sent Ivy a grateful expression. "I'll s-s-see you guys ar-aro-around." Sticky said softly, before quickly taking off home. He was late. Which meant the next day, he'd probably show up to school with some unflattering dark bruises.

Connor groaned and accepted defeat. "Hope your dog gets better soon!" He yells, as Sticky leaves.

Connor then turns toward Ivy. "So, you still want to come over?" He really wanted her to say yes. To be honest, he really didn't have many friends. And he was always alone in a big old house with the maids and butlers. Even the paid help were to scared to talk to him.

"Uh, I guess. Nothing to lose." She mutters. "So, whats your story? Mommy and daddy spoil you but it's never enough? And your girlfriend is a model in Figi?" Ivy sarcastically jokes. She blushes when she looks at his eyes. Maybe he was cute but never her type.

Connor frowned at the girls assumptions. "I don't have a girlfriend in figi."

He shook his head when he realized that everything else she said was true. He looked down at his feet, before hopping off the hoverboard.

"You want to try it?" He motioned towards the blue and black board. "You just have to step on the two foot ledges and lean forward... It'll do the rest for you."

Ivy looks uncertainly at him then at the board. "Uh.. Okay." She put her heavy bag on the sidewalk and takes a deep breath. She quickly steps on the two platforms. Ivy starts to wobble and loose balance, laughing at herself.

Connor rushes to steady her, grabbing her shoulders and stilling their movement. "It's really all on your waist. You really don't have to move the rest of your body."

He steps away from her and smiles kindly. "It's really hard at first, but once you're used to it, its really easy. You can have it, if you want. I really don't care for it. I have like ten others at home." He wasn't really bragging, he was more so stating the obvious.

"My house is this way." He said, motioning for her to follow.

She chuckles of embarrassment. "Oh, uh, thank you so much. It means a lot!" She smiles and slowly follows him to his house. She slowly gets use to the board.

He led her through a series of houses; with each block of houses bigger than the next. They finally reached a gated house with security personnel littering the streets.

A guard noticed Connor and opened the gate, but as soon as he saw Ivy he paused and made his way towards them.

"Jared, it's okay, shes a friend from school." He reassured the bald security guard.

"You know as well as I do, Caleb, I can't let that happen. I need to search her, otherwise your parents will have my head." Jared quipped.

Connor sighed, "Fine," He turned towards Ivy, "Hey Ivy. This is is Jared. He's a security guard and he can't let you in til he checks you. He'll only do this once, I promise."

He didn't want her to get uncomfortable and leave. "It'll be barely a minute. He's just checking for any weapons and stuff like that. And I'm sure you don't have any."

Ivy got uneasy. She didn't have weapons or anything to harm somebody.. But there was papers and brochures about the homeless shelter she was staying at. She took her bag off and passed it to the guard and looked down.
