[Spotine]

Karen cleared her throat, blushing with her arms wrapped around her chest. "Well... Just keep your glasses on!" She said, not knowing what else to say. Karen turned to Kaneki. "Isn't Morgan supposed to be working nights? It's pretty late, shouldn't Tucker be gone?" She asked, noticing that it was now dark outside.

 

[Krillin]

"Yeah we switched there schedules after we payed Jacob a visit." Says Kaneki glaring at Tucker.

 

[Spotine]

Karen nodded. "Okaaay..." She said. "So now he'll be seeing more of Morgan." She thought bitterly. She didn't let her jealousy show. Karen stood. "I think I'll go... Take a shower..." She said, gesturing towards the exit to the living room.

 

[Krillin]

"Yeah alright ill see you when you get out."


"Shes not the only one that doesnt like the change. I had to change my sleeping schedule. Shes probably mad that I am here at night." Says Tucker.

 

[Spotine]

Karen left and went into the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror, comparing everything about herself to Morgan. She sighed and got in the shower. Karen thought about Katharen. She felt a pang of jealousy, but felt ashamed by that. "Katharen is dead Karen, Morgan is his maid. You have no competition." Karen tried to assure herself. She turned off the water and wrapped her hair in a towel, then changed into her pajamas. Karen went to the bedroom, humming Taylor Swift songs. She sat at the vanity and started to brush her hair.

 

[Krillin]

Kaneki walks into his room and sits on the bed looking at Karen. "Hey are you okay. There is something on your mind so what is it?" Asks Kaneki.

 

[Spotine]

Karen shrugged and continued to brush her hair. She sighed. "Well my parents just died." Karen said dully, but it was obvious that wasn't the only thing on her mind. She began to French braid her hair, still not looking at Kaneki.

 

[Krillin]

"Well can you tell me what I did wrong at least?" Asks Kaneki knowing she had something else on her mind.

 

[Spotine]

Karen tied the braid off with a ponytail holder and turned to Kaneki. "I don't know okay? I just don't know what's going on in my mind and why I'm feeling these things..." Karen trailed off, talking more to herself than Kaneki. "I just don't know." She muttered, looking at her hands.

 

[Krillin]

"Karen." Says Kaneki walking over to her.

 

[Spotine]

Karen stood up, still not looking at Kaneki. She shook her head. "Just tell him how you feel!" She thought. "I can't. I just can't." She told herself silently.

 

[Krillin]

"Karen I know we have only been engaged for a few hours but we are still engaged. So please tell me." Says Kaneki.

 

[Spotine]

Karen took a deep breath. "You can do this! He's right, you're engaged!" She thought. "I don't know how I can compete! You're so attractive and there are all these hot girls, and I don't even stand a chance! Your maid is sexier than me! I can't compete with someone like Katheren that you had a bond with, or Morgan who could pick up anyone she wanted to! I can't!" Karen shouted frustratedly. The tears started to come back and she held her head in her hand, covering her face. "You let it out Karen. Good job." She thought.

 

[Krillin]

Kaneki grabs Karen and kisses her. "Who am I marrying? Is it Morgan? Is it Katheren? No of course not im marrying you. Because I love you more than anyone." Says Kaneki.

 

[Spotine]

Karen looked up at Kaneki, eyes wide like a puppy's. A couple of tears still streamed down her face. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. So instead, Karen just coloapsed into Kaneki, her face near his chest and her arms wrapped around him. She closed her eyes and stayed there.

 

[Krillin]

"I love you. But if you call Morgan my maid and she hears that it wont be good. Shes actually my bodyguard." Says Kaneki carrying her onto the bed trying to make her stop crying.

 

[Spotine]

"Either way... She's sexier than me. And I love you too." Karen said, curling up on the bed. "I'm sorry, I'm such a drama queen. I blow things way out of proportion and I have no self-confidence... I don't know what I'm doing marrying someone as amazing as you..."

 

[Krillin]

"I think you are the sexiest girl I know. Even hotter than Morgan. And I dont know what im doing marrying a girl like you." Says Kaneki laying down next to Karen.

 

[Spotine]

Karen smiled. It felt good to be complimented like this. She placed her hand under her head and her other arm around Kaneki, hugging him. "I love you..." Karen whispered before closing her eyes.

 

[Krillin]

"I love you more." Says Kaneki kissing her on the head.

 

[Spotine]

"That's not possible..." Karen whispered in a barely audible voice. She leaned her head up and kissed Kaneki on the lips. Moments after the kiss, Karen fell asleep there, cuddled up with Kaneki.

 

[Krillin]

Kaneki watches Karen fall asleep and slides put of bed trying not to wake Karen. He walks into the kitchen and sees Tucker. "Has Chi called?" Asks Kaneki.


"Nope not yet." Says Tucker.

 

[Spotine]

Kyra had just finished washing the dishes from dinner. Kira and Athena were asleep upstairs in the bedroom. Kyra was exhausted as well as she washed her face in the bathroom and changed into pajamas. She went into the bedroom and laid down, falling asleep almost immediately.

 

[Krillin]

A bright light flashes and there stands Chi with large white wings. "You could have just called." Says Kaneki.


"Well I wanted to congratulate you in person." Says Chi.

 

[Spotine]

Ai had been on vacation for the last couple of days and returned late that night. Everyone was asleep so she crept into her room. Ai laid down on the bed and fell asleep, glad to be home.
