Hidden From Reality (stormhawk324 & punti's rp)

It is the year of 2050, ten years after The Rain Of Blood. This wildly known battle involved the entire earth, all of the world. But not like World War I or World War War II, two different races instead. As expected, humans, but their humans were quite peculiar and oddly enough unknown. Mortal Humans vs Vampires. Yeah, blood-sucking creatures of darkness. Of course there had been many stories about these beings but nobody truely believed that they exited; They weren't just stories. They were the truth of their existence.

Now that vampires had taken control of this once great planet, no mere human walked the grounds anymore. They are nothing more than an extinct creature now.

There ar other mystical and unknown that have hid from the presence of mankind but now are free to roam in peace. Mermaids, fairies, dragons, vampires, nekos, etc. Well...all the nekos had been wiped off the face of earth too. Their appearance, their thoughts, their blood scents...it was all too familiar to the terrible beings humans. All were gone...

All but one…

Among this population of vampires, there was one particular one, his name was Liam. Liam Nathaniel Kyouu. He seeked blood like any other average vampire, but his heart seemed to be bigger than the hearts of others around him. It may sound cheeky but he felt more feelings; Deeper feelings than others. He actually cared for people. But sometines he'd hide it to please his parents.

The place was rather dark for the petite girl, she was frightened and most of all, exhausted. It had been so close, such a close call - she had been a mere two centimeters from having met her doom. Day and night, little Misa lived on the edge, her body in desperate need of food and water but her better judgement knew that simply one mere sniff of her natural smell and she was a goner. And so, garbage canisters it was. As of right now, the lone Neko had committed a horrible mistake - she had sneaked into a home, more precisely, the garage of a home. Tightly wedged between two shelves with a large box of something Misa assumed was dead carcasses or something of the sort. No matter, the fact remained true - she was invading the privacy of the enemy. Her knees plastered against her chest, Misa kept her head low, trying her best not to breathe too loud, or think too loud, even blink. She was sure they could hear that, too. I will wait until broad daylight... She murmured to herself, to her mind, the only friend she had for a few years, now.

Liam grumbled as one of his older brothers shoved him forcefully out the door. "DON'T BE A LAZY BUM AND GO GRAB MY SPARE BAG OF BLOOD! I LEFT IT IN A PACKAGE OUTSIDE!!" The brother's demanded echoed throughout the silent night with a low hiss.

Liam rolled his eyes. He was used to the constant pushing and ordering around. His broothers were bigger, tougher, and could literally snap him in half if he got them angry. It was best just to do as they commanded. "He's the one being a lazy bum...he shouldd just come get it himself..." he found himself mumbling these pointless little complaints to himself. No one would hear them so what's the point, right? With that down, out of his mouth, he unlocked the side entrance to the closed garage with a yawn. "What time is it anyways...?"

The warm blood cruising through her body turned into ice the second she heard a deep, terrifying voice broke through her and slammed into her sensitive ears. Without wanting for it to occur, Misa's hands and knees began to tremble, causing her to hold herself tighter, trying her best not to let out any whimpers or break a tear. After a few years of being in hiding against the world, paranoia grew on you and clung, like a monkey on your back.

Following soon after, came the most petrifying sound Misa could mark off on her list at this very moment - a key, to this room. Oh no. Oh no. Her palpitating heart pounded against her chest uncomfortable, her ears were dropped, her tail was squeezed around her waist, the very end of it flicking in nervousness. This was it. Her last breaths would be taken by fear. How heartbreaking, the Neko had always wished to use her dying breath for something good, be it to help someone or on her own terms. Not a bloodsucker's nor any creature other than herself, for that matter. Alas, she supposed she should have seen it coming.

Liam shuffled through boxes and piles that been scattered across the dusty floor, filing through in search of his brother's item of request. Why would he even keep his supply of blood out in the garage? He's so stupid, careless. Other vampires are alredy tearing through homes just to find remains of human or neko blood. he thought as he continued to discover nothing. It was too dusty to even tell. The dust tickled his nose which of course lead to little sneezes, not exactpy intimidating.

He covered up his face up to just below his eyes with his shirt collar, the dirty garage was just gross. But the thought cleared from his mind when he caught the sight of something barely move in the corner of his eye. Vampires often tend to be born with advanced senses, so it was no shock that he had easily seen the smallest movement of an object in the room, but still a bit strange thaf he hadn't smelled it at first. Perhaps that was because he was too busy sneezing to notice.

".....um...hello?" He slowly approached the area in which he had just seen something move. Was he seeing things or had a raccoon broken into their garage again? As he silently got down on his knees, with a slow and steady hand motion he brushed the large stack of boxes aside.

A girl...a very small girl.

A NEKO girl.

By the look on her face and the way she was huddled together, it was clear that she was prepared to die. Expecting a terrible outcome from this frightening situation. He scooted back aways when he realized how close he must've been to the girl's face. His eyes were wide and stared down at the terrified cat-girl. "...........are you okay?" He asked but didn't expect any answer.

The second the steps made their way onto the floor of the garage, her chest begged to simply explode and let her die right then and now. Only she knew that was physically impossible, which was quite unfortunate, for that matter. She had heard about the lack of human and neko blood throughout the vampire reign, which only meant that the vampires would soon turn to other creatures to drink their blood, how unfortunate. There was simply too many vampires to go around, in Misa's opinion, anyway.

Involuntarily, her body had convulsed, causing for the box to shudder for a very brief, almost non-existent moment. Though with the silent that soon preceded, in such way that the air suddenly felt full and gut churning, Misa knew he had heard, or seen, or both. Perhaps he had heard her breathe? Without noticing, a damp warmth had begun to smear down her cheeks although no sound came out of her. Only the distant echo of the vampire's sneezes and soon, his voice calling out to something unknown to him.

He was coming forward and Misa seemed to notice only now how much her legs were cramping from being this unable to move, her arms were so tense, she thought they might fall off albeit, that, too, was physically impossible.

The real adrenaline rush was when the box was suddenly moved and the little Neko had a shadow cast over her. Immediately, a small sound escaped the slits of her lips and within moments, her face was buried deep between her knees, as much as she could, for that matter. This was it. She was waiting for it; to be grabbed, or hear an exclamation of some sort, something victorious, something Misa had only encountered in her daily nightmares.

But no.

This...this wasn't the case.

Instead, there was a question. "...........Are you okay?"

No. She wasn't, she truly and utterly wasn't. His question brought more confusion than she had ever thought possible; mixed between too many emotions to be able to count them all, Misa dared a look at the vampire which, to her big surprise, didn't seem very big and scary like the ones she had seen lurking around. He...he didn't seem too evil - although she knew better than to just judge. And once again, surprise burst through her as her head shifted from the side to side, in a sign of 'no'. She wasn't okay. "P-please," Her voice came out desperate, very, very quiet, "Please don't hurt m-me." Near the end, her voice morphed into a broken plea, the tears still shamelessly carving a trail down her face and dripped down onto her clothes and skin. "Please."

"H-Hey now, calm down. I know I'm a freaky vampire and all, but no need to prejudge me." Liam with a soft tone of voice, not wishing to scare the daylights out of her soul anymore than he already had. Being a sort of gentleman, he felt the urge to politely lean forward and dry away her tears, but might make it worse; Any contact or if he even motioned to step closer coupd send a rush of a heartattack to the poor girl.

He sighed quietly to himself. It wasn't a shock that this remaining neko was terrified of just his presence. He scooted back a wags again before adding, "...what do I have to do to get you to trust me?"

At his words, Misa's tears seemed to calm down enough so her line of vision wasn't too blurred. Although her trembling hadn't ceased, her usually goos instinct told her that this vampire wasn't going to devour her right then and now. Albeit nothing told her he wouldn't later on was undetermined. Then again, he truly didn't appear intimidating - as intimidating, anyway. His tone seemed to be so...so unusual. It was soft, almost as if it were cooingbher to come out of her hiding spot. Something she refused to do albeit her mind telling her otherwise. Tru t him? She was supposed to trust him? How? Inhaling quietly, the neko allowed herself to stretched her short legs out hesitantly, now lopking at the vampire with more curiosity than fear...but it was still there. Slowly, cautiously, Misa rose to her feet, her tail unwrapping itself slowly, though it remained close to her. "I.." She paused, not knowing what to say. "Who are you?" Her hands came to her chest, feeling rather shy but her need to know overpowered such trait.

"Hmm? Who am I?" Liam repeated, placing his hands on his hips. "Um, my names Liam. Liam Nathaniel Kyouu. I'm a three-hundred forty-four year vampire. What else do you mean by that question? Oh! Yeah, I'm the son of a complete *ss of a father...the very vampire who rise all the others together to practically destroy human life...."

He had no problem talking bad about his father. His father was a jerk. More than a jerk! He was a great murderor; Killing helpless beings just for the thrill and BLOOD of his victories! Not a surprise that most vampires joined up with his great plan. Vampores were generally found with a very low sense of feelings. Heartless creatures. Selfish creatures.

"And what's your name? Would you mind telling me?"
