hey, i'm sorry. im kind of busy atm, that's why i haven't replied yet. like i said, i like to take the time to wait until i can reply to everyone. i did already listen to them all and wrote up my thoughts, so here it is. please don't mistake me being online for being available in the future, though... (;*△*


i have heard of dubstep! it's my mom's favorite genre, actually - i really love it too. i think some artists don't really know how to mix up the drops well, though? like, in the handful of dubstep i've listened to, some of them had pretty identical drops, but they weren't really on beat, anyway, so i think it was more just the artist being inept than anything else. the unique songs were usually pretty freaking good, though.


glitchhop was incredibly pretty but it was kinda hard to hold my interest to - like, there was a lot going on, but nothing to really... tether me down? i think i'd be another really good one to draw to, though. both it and chillstep is incredibly beautiful, though, like, geez, i can see why they put such pretty visuals to go along with the music, it really fits. like, it's crazy cool, i'm almost upset i've never heard it before. chillstep especially - it amps up the 'prettiness' factor of the music and makes for really good ambiance.


but yeah!! top-tier stuff, @Talon. i'm gonna put some of it into a pandora station and chill out, since i've got some stuff to do.

call me rustic! it's been quite awhile since i've enjoyed a good roleplay - a couple of years, in fact - so i decided to dive back in here! there seems to be a lot of interesting ideas and people here, and i'd love to be able to contribute my share, and hopefully make some friends along the way!
as for who i am, personally... i'm female, nervous, and generally trying hard most of the time. (like right now, making this introduction!) also, i'm an artist! (sort of!) i can't think of a lot to just tell ya that will give you a good idea, really. all in all, don't let my inclinations drive you away if it looks like we don't have much in common - if you want to, let's just talk! but below are my interests if you were interested. thank you for reading, regardless, and i hope to get to know you all better!

- anime and manga! it's been awhile since i've actually watched any anime, though, because i have a hard time sitting down and watching something for 25 minutes at a time... and most of the manga i've been reading has been yuri one-shots... hahaha oh jeez. if it's an old classic, though, like code geass or death note, i've probably seen it!


- cartoons, too! there's a lot of good ones out there i've yet to watch, but i'm mostly into steven universe and rick and morty. i'm also heavily considering getting into gravity falls now that that's ended, since everyone who seems to like those two end up liking that.


- video games! jrpgs, as you might imagine... my all time favorite is the devil survivor series and a few other shin megami tensei games, but i've also played various other stuff like pokemon, fire emblem, zero escape... if it's a popular 3DS game, i've probably played it, haha. i've also played undertale, and am currently playing sunless sea and princess maker 2.


- visual novels! my attention span hinders me a lot here, too, so i haven't finished most of the ones i've picked up - but i'm currently playing hatoful boyfriend, amaranto, aoishiro, and hate plus.

Pleasure to meet you! I'm new here as well but I hope we all can find what we're looking for! Namely fun and friends! (God that's cheesy >.<)

Asking my favorite ship is such an impossible question and a liiitttle embarrassing. My favorite ships are JasPearl...RosePearl...Ameidot...(GARNET)...Stevonnie is an OTP im pretty open minded about shipping BUT


I'm just super into Jasper personally because I think she has a long way to go character development wise? I just think she has a lot of growing to do. I'm also a sucker for actually muscular women? You never see strong, intelligent women in things that aren't sexualized. I could ramble on and on ;///;


I haven't read Home stuck since Act 7? I use to be super into it and cosplaying back when it was popular. But I still adore the characters! I was a huge Erisol shipper and an Eridan role player for awhile. ~ I did invest in the kick starter so eventually when the video game is released I'll probably play it since I did pay $$

i still really have a soft spot in my heart for homestuck, too. i never got a chance to do the kickstarter, but i'm definitely there when it comes out, too - it's was just such a integral and weird part of my life, for a couple of reasons. it was my first time really being in a fandom, and i loved rose soo much. i... didn't realize how much in common i had with her at the time, but i really was her. a gay, eldritch obsessed, overly verbose, kiddo. (it's weird too - most of the life of my interest in the fandom, i shipped rosejohn, lmao - poor young me didn't even know)


but holy heck, just... yeah!!

As far as manga go I've kinda been a little all over the place...prolly my fave would have to be rouroni kenshin, but I've started a bunch more (not always finished but I try...) inuyasha, naruto, fruits basket, one punch man, akame ga kill, my tastes are pretty varied


Undertale is wonderful and I love every last character deeply but if I had to pick one I'd have to say alphas? Cause I feel I relate to her on a personal level, and how your past mistakes can make you lose faith in yourself but good friends can see you through. Also she's shipper trash like me xD


I do also have a soft spot for asriel but who doesn't. Poor precious goat child...

Hahaha I KNOW RIGHT! Gosh sometime's I worry about the level of affection I feel towards these people who haven't ever existed and never will, but I also think that's part of what's so awesome about writing. These characters give us people to look up to (or learn from cause dang not all of them have their stuff together but we love them anyway). Literature in all forms is a way to convey a message, a feeling, and the ones who do that successfully (whether I like the feeling conveyed or not) leave a sort of imprint on your soul I think. So we can't help but relate and care for these characters and wish we could rewrite parts of their story to make them happy cause perhaps to a degree we want the same for ourselves?

Anyways...


Rouroni Kenshin is quite good but I highly recommend the manga versus the anime. Just kinda a different vibe. It's a historical romance with both comedy and action, following a former assassin from the bakamatsu period who has traded his blade for a backwards one that can't kill anyone in the new Meiji era and now lives as a wandering samurai with a vow to never take another life. It's cute and emotional and I rather enjoyed it but I won't be offended if it's not your style.


And yes I must agree gotta love the hyper agressive fish who has the most over the top reaction to everything that could possibly occur xD and papyrus Oh papyrus you precious little baby don't ever change!!!


I still struggle with understanding for chara but I like to think anyone can be redeemed. Somehow. I'm one of those who likes the thought of frisk keeping flowey with him even after all traces of asriel are gone and have no hope of coming back but just ignoring all of his toxicity even though everyone else can't understand it but at the end of the day that's still his friend so frisk can't leave him alone again.


Also I'm tickled by the idea of the flirtiest of frisks xD

ooh, yes yes! that's exactly it. that's how i feel as well! they say your favorite things are generally the ones you relate to, and whether or not that's true, it's certainly why we're so compelled to find happiness for fictional characters - because we see ourselves in them, it's distressing when their story is a dismal, hopeless one. yeesss!


so is rouroni kenshin already finished, or is it ongoing? how long is it, currently? long-running stuff is pretty hard for me to get into, but i'd probably really enjoy it if it's a manageable length!


PAPYRUS AHH,, he's my second favorite character i appreciate him sooo much. i really look up to him a lot, y'know? characters who are just so positive when faced with something so horrific - characters who remain kind to others because they just believe so much in the good in them - i just really appreciate it, aspire to it. he can be naive to a point, but that's a part of his charm, too! (racecar bed! racecar bed!) luv that skeleton man!


and... chara... (*sets down my drink, stares off into the abyss*) there's a lot to say about them that isn't said, clearly. from simply what is said about them, it's hard to really get a grasp on them - they were so beloved and yet did such horrible things. but... maybe.. have you considered... there's more than just what people have said about them? that... they might be someone with thoughts and opinions you can currently find in the game? that... they might be the narrator? y-yeah. yeah. Haha yea rouroni kenshin is complete but it's 24 books long...it's not like naruto but it's still decent length...


And papyrus is so adorable and sweet I love him so much. And he may be naive but he's not stupid. I really think he knew exactly what he was doing when he pushed undyne and the human together...but goodness yes I love all these characters so much time and care went into crafting them and it shows! I love them all especially napstablook,come here you shy ghost child you aren't a burden you are perfect!!!


And I actually do find the chara narrator theory quite believable it's just that the character of chara personally resonates with me in a way that is rather unpleasant. I'm not saying it's a bad character nor that they aren't worthy of redemption, just that that character reminds me of some of my own shortcomings and as such it's a hard character for me to like.

Heck, to have the courage and will to face death and tell your killer that you still believe in him, that is not the actions of a weak person. Most people can't forgive for much less. Sans acts lazy cause he wants to...maybe papyrus has more in common with his bro than most people would think...


Do not feel bad about defending chara to me, there is never anything wrong with defending something you believe in. I am in no way offended in fact I encourage your thinking. Chara needs some advocates. It just so happens that this is a character that causes me to feel something strongly that means I personally may never like them but the idea that the character makes me feel something that powerfully is awesome in and of itself. The depth that went into every aspect of that game is breathtaking, and it shows when we're still tearing it apart to find every last snippet of dialouge because we like these characters so much we don't want it to end. Toby fox created a wonderful world for us to play around in and made characters for us that were, despite their monstrous nature, undeniably human. Undertale is a game that makes you feel things. Good bad indifferent that's incredible, and a trait I hope I can emulate in some small part in my little scribbles someday.

undertale, @Talon, undertale! it's a game avaliable on steam for a rather cheap price, taking everything into consideration. i'd highly recommend the game to you, but i'd highly recommend it to anyone who comes into earshot, tbh.

Toby fox created a wonderful world for us to play around in and made characters for us that were, despite their monstrous nature, undeniably human. Undertale is a game that makes you feel things. Good bad indifferent that's incredible, and a trait I hope I can emulate in some small part in my little scribbles someday.

as you can see above, i like doing that too, haha. i do honestly think i'll at least check it out at some point, though - it does sound really amusing! (i'd add it to my myanimelist thing, but i always end up forgetting i have an account there, for some reason? i guess it's because i usually don't end up watching much of it as i'd like to, haha...)


i agree with you on most of that, (and oh god yes to the point you made about papyrus saying as much to the player), but on the point about sans - i really don't think it's something he does intentionally. like, he just sort of jokes about it, saying he's lazy and such, but the more than likely cause of sans doing all of that sort of points to depression? ah, maybe it's just because he's so relatable to me, but when he says 'give up. i did.' i don't think he's just talking about trying to change fate - he's talking about almost everything, basically. he's hanging on by a thread, motivated by only a small sliver of hope that propels him forward. (some people think that's why he has only got one hp - it's all the hope he has.)

i think he still has a little hope inside - it was the small spark that kicked him into gear in the genocide route - but if he doesn't? would he even have a choice to continuing? gaster didn't get a say as to whether or not they existed - maybe sans doesn't either. maybe he'd just come back if he gave up, due to the resets. after all - the player only does it so many times, but it's implied flowey's done it so much he's lost count. that's a little frightening to think about.


b-but that's neither here or there, so sorry for the wall of text, haha. i do understand your feelings about chara - the reason i'm even so keen to defend them is because of how i know my friends relate to them, so i definitely understand your strong emotions on the subject. because they can be interpreted a lot of different ways, and they are the cause of a lot of bad stuff, talking about them can be understandably stressful no matter how you feel about it. and it is a romantic thought, that a game could make us all feel so hotly about even just a small portion of it - it certainly deserved all the attention and love it's gotten, i think.


but yeah! thank you for talking about it with me! it's not really something ive gotten to do before, and i have a lot of feelings about it, so it's nice to be able to get them out like this, haha. it's lovely i get to hear your thoughts about it, too!

it's like, an RPG...? but, the battle system is a bullet hell as well? if you're not really proficient with either of those, it's okay, though - the combat is relatively easy. (depending on how you've been playing...) but the game is more so focused on the story. it's a really good one too!

call me rustic! it's been quite awhile since i've enjoyed a good roleplay - a couple of years, in fact - so i decided to dive back in here! there seems to be a lot of interesting ideas and people here, and i'd love to be able to contribute my share, and hopefully make some friends along the way!
as for who i am, personally... i'm female, nervous, and generally trying hard most of the time. (like right now, making this introduction!) also, i'm an artist! (sort of!) i can't think of a lot to just tell ya that will give you a good idea, really. all in all, don't let my inclinations drive you away if it looks like we don't have much in common - if you want to, let's just talk! but below are my interests if you were interested. thank you for reading, regardless, and i hope to get to know you all better!

- anime and manga! it's been awhile since i've actually watched any anime, though, because i have a hard time sitting down and watching something for 25 minutes at a time... and most of the manga i've been reading has been yuri one-shots... hahaha oh jeez. if it's an old classic, though, like code geass or death note, i've probably seen it!


- cartoons, too! there's a lot of good ones out there i've yet to watch, but i'm mostly into steven universe and rick and morty. i'm also heavily considering getting into gravity falls now that that's ended, since everyone who seems to like those two end up liking that.


- video games! jrpgs, as you might imagine... my all time favorite is the devil survivor series and a few other shin megami tensei games, but i've also played various other stuff like pokemon, fire emblem, zero escape... if it's a popular 3DS game, i've probably played it, haha. i've also played undertale, and am currently playing sunless sea and princess maker 2.


- visual novels! my attention span hinders me a lot here, too, so i haven't finished most of the ones i've picked up - but i'm currently playing hatoful boyfriend, amaranto, aoishiro, and hate plus.
