Gintoki’s team would be made up of pokemon that are rough around the edges…or they look like sweetsSo I’ve been replaying Pokémon Moon which has got me thinking about Pokémon stuff in general soooo here’s another prompt for y’all:
If your character had a Pokémon partner, what would it be? You can also do a full team if you want!
And other optional stuff:
What sort of Pokémon trainer would your character be? Do they have any preferences in pokemon types? Would they be traveling around the world or would they have a job like being a gym leader or Nurse?
For Edward I feel like the most typical answer is him having a Golurk to represent Alphonse, but that’s a lil boring imo. Instead I’d like to think he’d have a Galarian Meowth/Perrserker as his ace Pokémon. For one, Edward’s counterpart on the other side of the gate is British, so there’s that connection with the galar region. And, Perrserker is a steel type pokemon which would work pretty well with Ed being the Fullmetal Alchemist and all lmao. And most importantly, Perrserker has claws that is exactly like the arm blade Edward uses, it’s pretty dang perfect!
As for the type of trainer Edward would be, I think he’d primarily specialize in rock, ground, and steel type Pokemon, seeing as those are the materials that Edward most often uses in alchemy. As for what he’d be doing, I feel like there’s a lot of really good answers. Like, he could still be working as a rocket scientist at the Space Center in Hoenn, or maybe he’d be an apprentice of a Pokémon Professor, or heck he could even be apart of the international police. But either way I think he’d for sure be going on an adventure traveling around the region with Al.
Also I could see his team potentially being something like this:
