Brynn, Warmheart
Screw off with the ice puns before I make you a popsicle.
Brynn Warmheart
45d9ea76ef8fbbc9e65b0fb90dd3b45c.jpg

Species: Ice elemental ex-human| Gender: Male| Age: 72 | Occupation: Guide

Identifying Details: Even when Brynn was a man he was still very large for his stature coming from a long line of ice farmers, but now with his unfortunate accident, he is an 8 foot, 300-pound ice horned bear shaped behemoth. Other than he always has the red rags on him.

Occupation: He guides willing travelers through the colder areas of Ire during the spring and the summer and mostly sleeps in the winter and autumn

Region: Ire

Personality:
"Friendly, adaptable, action-oriented" is what Brynn describes himself as, though he is at heart a Doer and focused on results though living for as long as he has become able to be patient though when it comes to intricate plans and explanations he is anything but patient. Though under that heart of ice there is a golden apple, he is very loyal to his friends and even loyal to those who he deems as family.
Though around small children he has grown to become more quiet and kind, even allowing children to ride on his back and going out of his way to make sure they're safe.

Bio:
Right, when you look at Brynn at this point in time you may never think that, that bear? Was ever a human being, and so believe many people around the area where he lives, to the point where some people think he is just a deity helping out the needy and the lost. However, if you ever meet a small old lady in a village on the outskirts of Gaia you will find that she will never stop talking about how she met her true love back when she was just a young lass in Ire.

That true love was Brynn, a young, strong 20-year-old lad in the spring of life with a profession of an ice carver, about to get wed and the successor to a profitable ice carving business, everything was well in his life. Now everything changed when he decided that he would go camp in an ice cave for the night when a blizzard arrived when he was making his way back in the night after a day of work.

No one knows what happened in the ice cave other than Brynn himself but after 10 years traveler began to come into contact with the new form of Brynn and as such, he became a local legend and guide. Some people say that he is the snowman the legends go on about but Brynn himself said that he used to listen to that story.

Recently though his job has begun to be interrupted by this random Seras lad with his boogeymen and he's been hurting the villagers and children around the area who didn't agree with him, and he can't have that.

Special Abilities:
A body of ice - As an ice elemental loses the need for eating or sleeping, even though he sleeps more than anyone else, and as an added bonus, to his knowledge, he cannot age. But due to that he lost the ability to feel anything, luckily he is made out of artic brash ice, stuff icebergs are made out of, and he can regenerate lost ice but the regeneration does matter on how cold it is outside.
Ice manipulation - If he places both of his arms on the ground he can begin to extend and create extra ice which he can then mold to his will, very useful when you want to clear debris or impale tyrannical rulers from bellow. Though it takes a toll on his stamina the more ice he creates.

Lair Aelnoir

Species: Avian (Ravenfolk) | Gender: Male | Age: 28 | Occupation: Hunter

Identifying Details: Lair is 5'5" and weighs 86 lbs. He wears a sleeveless leather hood (with a pointed end over the forehead) without an undershirt, revealing a tuft of black feathers from his chest, and long leather braces covering his forearms. He wears regular cloth pants with straps of leather flowing over for protection, which reveal his dark tail feathers, and is mostly barefoot, aside from a few bandage wrappings for added traction.

Region: Latia

Personality: As would be expected from an Avian, Lair is quite a chatty social bird when he's with similar like-minded people, though is wary and easily alarmed when it comes to strangers being shifty and sudden. As such, he tends to be overly cautious and isn't by any means a risk taker. He tries to be strategic by always being ready for the dangers that may occur the next day, or the next hour. This behavior may be a bit of a nuisance to more carefree Resistance members, though a welcome one to tactical minds.

Bio: Within the deep forests of Latia, there were a number of villages that attempted to live in peace. But there were also those who would use this to their advantage, striking at these pacifist locales and claiming their bounty as their own. As a child, Lair was one of many spoils of war when a neighboring Avian colony attacked his village. The raid from the larger war driven colony kidnapped young hatchlings in order to serve under the lower castes through hard labor, though were raised believing that they were salvaged from a wasted village. Without memories to incite doubt, the hatchlings grew up thankful for their new home, and worked the variety of roles that were left unwanted by the village. Lair was one of the few who was trained as a hunter, and therefore learned to fight both the flying and grounded feral monsters of Latia's unforgiving outskirts.

Several years passed, and the cycle of war prisoners repeated itself. Lair was the only one from his village who witnessed that once more, the supposed "salvaged" were strictly newly hatched; it didn't make sense that there wouldn't be any guardians or adults to care for the young. He refused to bring up the odd coincidence to anyone in the hunting group, as the captain was a higher ranking member from the tribe— it now made sense why the leader would constantly be monitoring his actions at every chance he had.

Convinced that he was stolen to be used for another tribes reapings, Lair separated himself from the hunters during a tracking mission and made as much distance as he could from them. He managed to escape, but he was overridden with guilt and self-loathing since he was powerless to take on a whole colony by himself. He knew if he'd do anything risky, it would do nothing to fix the wrongs of the colony's immoral methods. If anything, it would only be a dent in the war machine, and likely at the cost of his life.

Time once again passed in the form of years, where Lair eventually moved out of the floating island's outskirts to the more populated towns, using his knowledge of hunting monsters to make a living. He lead a peaceful life until Seras claimed the world as his own. People were disappearing left and right, and once again, he was caught in a situation where he was absolutely powerless on his own. But he knew that he didn't have to stand idly by and run like he did before, watching and waiting for the world to be claimed by a fearsome enemy. This time, a Resistance had risen from the shadows, slowly fighting to dent the war machine until it would be crippled. There wasn't room for regret or failure; being in the resistance was his sole purpose now.

Weapon(s) of Choice: These three weapons are his primary mode of combat, and always travels with all three by his side.

  • xgVw64n.jpg
His primary weapon, he tends to combine his agility with its reach in order to strike at openings from a safe distance. He's able to use it in very creative ways, though can branch out even further by combining it with Quillshot, thanks to the currents produced by swings of the weapon.

Magic: Lair is currently knowledgeable of four different varieties of magic, though has different levels of proficiency between them all. When it comes to combative casting, Lair mainly relies on his physical capabilities, and only uses magic when he needs to gain the upper hand. His utility magic is in a more advanced level because of this.

  • Lair is capable of producing a current of wind in a given direction. The range of the current can span anywhere between a few feet, or that of a few dozen, while the strength can be a gentle breeze, or that of a sudden gale. Ventus can be initiated by a handheld item, such as a staff or fan, so as to make it more energy complacent. As this is his most used ability, Lair has an intermediate proficiency, though is far from being in expert status. This implies that he is able to produce a gust strong enough to lift his body in conjunction with Skycrux, though tires quickly if used in succession. He is also able to guide Quillshots through the currents without them losing too much stability in mid-range use.

Special Abilties: Thanks to his physical traits, Lair has a number of innate abilities that he has under his disposal.

  • Avians seem similar in strength to humans, though are much lighter in comparison due to reinforced air-filled bones. This allows for quick reactions while minimizing fragility, but also comes with the setback of having less weight to defend against heavy knock back effects.

Other: Lair has a habit of eating the apples he uses for target practice, but he never cares what others think.
