Here and There Again

Crash gently shook her hand. "I'm Crash. Nice to meet you." He wasn't the best at pinpointing where someone's face would be, so he was staring at the spot to the right of her head. "Sorry if I'm not looking at you," he apologized. He wasn't embarrassed by his need for a blindfold. It defined his character. However, it was a liability sometimes. "How's your day been so far?" he asked, genuinely curious.
 
Alice sat down towards the very back. She didn't want to be here. She only came here to learn.. No human interaction. She got out a pen and notebook and started writing down her thoughts.


" There are a lot of people here. Are they all special like me? Can they do what I do oh what a wonder. . ."
 
JJ smiled "my day has been going fine"she paused "no worries"she said "umm how is your day Crash?"
 
((Verrici, just wanted to inform you that Crash and JJ are in the back as well.))


Crash nodded once. "My day has been wonderful. Thanks for asking. And I'm assuming your gift is invisibility?" he asked, rubbing his arm. He was good at being polite, but not maintaining a conversation. Absent-mindedly, Crash tightened the blindfold around his eyes.
 
"yes"JJ said,she thought of what Crashes gift was. It had to be something with his eyes, but what? "So your gift has to do something with your eyes...right?" JJ noticed a girl sitting in the back as well. Hmmm...
 
Crash's smile faltered. "Yeah," he said quietly. "Something like that." He looked over to where the new girl was sitting. "You might want to tell the teacher that you're here. She already took attendance."
 
"sometimes powers can suck"said JJ looking back on her past. "But be helpful at the right time"JJ looked off into space and wished she had a different power. She always felt like she was missing out or she was running away, when ever she was invisible. "And sometimes you just can't do anything about it"JJ said as she came back out of her gaze.
 
Crash gave her a thoughtful look. "Yeah, I suppose. A power can be viewed as a gift or a curse. In some cases, it's obvious which one of them it is," he said with a small reflection on his own power. "But in your case, it can be difficult to tell." He gave her a small smile, wanting to get off the topic of powers.
