Hello all, it's truly a pleasure to meet you, my name is ExodusClaw but you may also call me Zero, an old username and nickname I used before this one.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this, I really appreciate it, especially since people are constantly joining and posting! Hopefully, I'll become a veteran soon enough to make up for the lost time!
I believe I heard of this site many years ago, but I never put much thought into joining until earlier this year. See, I got the extreme itch to RP but had no one else to join me on my epic quests and journeys, as everyone who I used to RP with either moved on with life or I lost contact with (I previously RPed on a little website called TinierMe, though I'm not sure if anyone here knows of it? It was unfortunately shut down).
The feeling got worse and worse until I finally remembered this site! I would get to writing the Fanfictions and short stories I've had in mind for years, but I get distracted pretty easily. That's why RPing resonates with me so much, it helps keep me on track, since I have other people to guide me along and make sure I post frequently. Plus it's just so much more fun having others input their own ideas and actions into the story, sometimes including things I never would have thought of!
Anyways, I made this account back in April, but was too shy to post. Don't get me wrong, I love to talk and make friends, but I've never really shared my work before, or shown my creative side in general, so it was a bit embarrassing. I'm sure everyone here is kind and supportive though, that's what creates such a thriving community (it also helps I've been lurking around and stealing glances at some posts).
On to my experience: I have Role Played before, but only a few times were memorable, expansive and in depth enough that I would even consider claiming it was role play. If you count constantly making up various types of stories in your head writing as well, I've been doing that since I was a child, so over two decades. I know that doesn't sound very reassuring, but I'm always eager in trying to both learn and improve, so I hope you can be patient with me!
For actual role playing: I can work well with a single person and I don't mind helping in creating a world or trying to build infrastructure for it, though I can't promise I'll be of any real use. I've done a LITTLE bit of Group Role Plays, and am interested in it, but I find it quite difficult to create a balance where everyone is sharing equally and not trying to fight over the lime light.
Now, I don't know if I should be posting Strengths and Weaknesses, but I will anyway, because I haven't seen anyone else do it and it makes this resemble a video game more than anything, and there's not many things I love more than video games and fun! Or you can look at this like a resume, and let it impress you with how mature and professional it makes me seem. Honestly, it's up to you.
Strengths: Rapid fire posts when in the mood and what I would like to consider an unorthodox approach to things. I would put creative, but that's like stating the sky is blue, right? I believe everyone here is creative, that's why we all RP, we just have different writing styles and approaches to it. I've seen many introduction posts where people claim they're creative, and I'm not doubting that, it's just that the whole website is full of creative people!
Weaknesses: Extremely long pauses when hitting a Writer's Block (but that can be dealt with if we get past what I would consider a boring point or just powering through it), tendency to get distracted,trying to do more than I can manage (I.E., multiple RPs at once when they each require constant attention instead of a split focus) and perhaps weak spelling/grammar/diction? Though I do try very hard to correct any mistakes, grammatical or otherwise, to the very best of my abilities.
Last thing I want to mention: The only other thing that put me off of using this site is its restriction on more mature themes. Don't get me wrong, I don't write smut or go insane over gore, it's just it feels very limiting for writers.
Well, I believe that's all I have to say covered, I've been planning to write this introduction for days now, and even during this overly long introduction, I've made multiple revisions, replacing overused words and trying to organize my thoughts into a more coherent and readable experience. This whole post took well over an hour. For an introduction, this was long, yet for the amount of time taken to write it, it'd be considered short. Kind of funny how that works, right?

for wishing me a Happy Birthday! Honestly, it comes and goes so fast that I don't have much of a chance to celebrate it. Getting that little message motivated me enough to make my first ever post! Maybe one day we can RP together!
P.P.S. I do have ONE certain RP currently in mind. To celebrate the upcoming Predator movie, I'd like my first RP in years to be about one of the most Honorable and Skilled group of warriors in the galaxy, the Yautja! I'm a huge sucker for the Honorable Warrior cliche, whether it be Samurais' with their Bushido, Knights' and their Chivalry, Cowboys' and their Cowboy Code or Alien Hunters that can pretty much kill anything but don't. I
saw a post a few days ago asking if RPers minded if people didn't know much of the fandom they were diving into, and my answer is that I don't really mind! A very basic understanding is all I'm asking for, since that's usually how I am as well. It also helps they are what I consider a simple species. If anyone is interested, I have a basic outline in mind, feel free to post or PM me. Not sure if it will be a One-on-One or a Group RP yet, though.
